Iggy - my thoughts are with you at the moment, you must be going through hell. Just reading whats happening has made me want to cry for you. I so hope that this is just an isolated bleed and that you concieved later then you thought to explain the reasons behind the scan. I second what the others say and that is go home if it gets to much.

Yellow - it is not over yet not until af arrives and somtimes there is a temp dip about this time before it goes back up again if you are pg so hope is not lost. Just make sure you pee in the pot in the morning.

Funtime - i am halfway through my 5th week and am a bag of nerves at the moment. Am peeing for england and feeling sick intermitantly and then very hungry when no feeling sick. am very tired to sleeping like a log and having bery strange dreams. I did another test today i think thats about 20 in total and the hormone is still very strong. did it at 11.30 and came up straight away so hoping thats a good sign that hormones are doing what they should.
I know what you mean about being happy with symptoms they are all good signs.

Hi to anyone have missed.

Am trying to do the housework but getting distracted and coming on here. I am very very scared and nervous this week, i have a scan on the 17th april will be 7+3 and i just keep having images of them not being able to see anything its worrying me so much i just wish i knew that everything was going to be ok. Or at least fast forward to 12 weeks when all should be ok and i can relax alittle

iggypiggy · 02/04/2009 11:36

thanks all - you are helping v. much x

yellow is good news about appt - I reckon earlier - less likely to be running late - and less time for you to worry during day. I also have fingers crossed for you that you are lucky this month

I seem to be saving up my being emotional time for the minute I get home in the evening... am ok at mo x

yellowflowers · 02/04/2009 10:25

iggy - if you need to go home I always find earache a good one. You can't see it but is very painful and no way can you work through it and it can quite feasibly last for a few days (just say dr gave you antibiotics). Even better - it can be recurring .

Hi queenie and broodzilla and everyone else who commented on Boots tests. The thing is - I don't feel pregnant. Boobs have stopped hurting, back feels like it does pre period (that is, I feel constipated but I;m not actually constipated), not a vein in sight on boobs and the incredible fatugue I felt last Thurs until Tues has now gone. Have woken up bunged up a few mornings in a row (probably getting a cold) but that is it. Must stop rummaging down there though - will give myself an infection.

Letter arrived for my fertility appt today - (the right letter, finally) - am going to go online and choose and book... scary. Do you think earlier in the day is better so no hanging around if they start running late?

yellow - sorry missed your post. Despite your BFN, I'm so hoping for you...! What with the soft cheese, raw ham, gin combo, you just have to be...! xxx

queenie1 · 02/04/2009 09:58

oh iggy - this is so horrible for you. I don't really know what to say except that whole I obviously I hope it is just an isolated bleed, if it is the worst, a lot of us here have been through it and know what it feels like. So, to echo *jools, stay here and remember you're not alone. Also, if the bleeding gets any worse - or if you feel too emotional - DO go home. You wouldn't need to tell people why. Lots of love to you. xx

Broodzilla · 02/04/2009 09:57

iggy keep popping in to see us and let us know how you're doing - even if it's just for a virtual scream. We're all here for you. Let's hope it's an umbrella on a sunny day scenario - you've prepared for the worst, so it's not going to happen. Fingers crossed.

yellow it's not over til the fat lady sings! (And tomorrow morning, we'll be collectively chanting for you to Wee In The POT!)

yellowflowers · 02/04/2009 09:50

Oh iggy - thinking of you.

For the first time ever I reached the point on Fertility friend where it says 'today you can do a test' and guess what - I was so busy thinking about this when I went to the loo this morning that I forgot to wee into the container I had ready! Tested my next wee (and drank nothing in between) but bfn (internet cheapie). So I guess AF is on way but later than usual. Temp was down a bit but still above cover line.

To tempt fate last night though I had a gin and tonic, soft cheese and raw ham - now I have to be pregnant if only so the gods can lugh at me while I worry I've done damage by such wanton behaviour.

I know what you mean about wallowing at home - I hope work provides some useful distraction x x x

iggypiggy · 02/04/2009 09:40

Thanks Jools

I live 10 mins from work - my car is outside office, so will drive home if I need to.

Have pads - brought them in with me. Don't want to be here - but also don't want to have to tell them. So will just see how I do...

DH wanted me to stay at home - bt I thought I'd probably be better if I did some work for now.. am awful when am at home and allowed to wallow... x

Joolsiam · 02/04/2009 09:24

Thinking of you Iggy

Keep popping in here - we'll support you through this, whether it be an isolated bleed or something worse ((()))

Thinking practically, if this is going to be a worst case scenario, do you have heavy duty pads, some ibuprofen and paracetamol ?

Can you work from home or take some time off ? If not, I'd take a (dark) change of clothes with you - you probably won't need it but the reassurance would certainly help me.

iggypiggy · 02/04/2009 08:58

thanks funtime

small amount of blood this morning... and mild AF type cramps...

xx

funtimewincies · 01/04/2009 18:54

Just checking how everyone is .

Sorry to hear that you're feeling so grim wasabi and a quick virtual hug to iggy (very un-MN I know ). Yellow - I only used Boots to confirm a pregnancy that has already shown up on a more sensitive one, as they're so tricky to read.

I'm half way through my 6th week and so far eveything is OK. Saw the midwife and she's going to try and get me an early scan, so hopefully the scanning dept. (a law unto themselves) will agree.

I'm nauseous most of the day, mixed with being ravenous, so not a great combination (not that I'm complaining, symptoms for me are very welcome!)

Broodzilla · 01/04/2009 17:04

oh, and yellow, I got a faint line on 17 DPO.
14 DPO was very much a blank one, and I used the "super sensitive" ones, albeit internet cheapy ones...

Broodzilla · 01/04/2009 17:02

yellow fingers crossed this is your month! at the rummaging...
wasabi I hope you feel better soon. If you can't face eating anything else, try ice cream, that'll numb your throat as it goes down (and you really deserve a treat!)
jools speaking of treats, I second the idea that you should book yourself into a spa/weekend away/anything for the dd. You're bound to be emotional, but at least that way you can hopefully have a bit of distraction and at the very least some pampering!
pinky I was lying awake at 4AM and was trying to remember who had posted about low prog levels... I've been trying to read up on anti-nausea remedies, and found out about B6, which apparently also helps your body make progesterone. Apparently lots of us are deficient in it... it does say you need to be careful about overdosing, but it might be worth a go? (I'm taking an extra pill every AM and PM in addition to the prenatals... it's either that or the seabands, but something is making me feel a bit more human!)

wasabipeanut · 01/04/2009 16:49

I used a Boots test when I got my BFP with last pg but I was about 17 days post ov by my calculations. At 12 days I don't think they're much cop.

Joolsiam · 01/04/2009 16:47

Boots tests are CRAP

at 13DPO, I got such a faint line that I really couldn't decide if there was colour in it or not - ended up dismantling it and holding it up to the light - still no joy so tried a Clearblue - that worked !

yellowflowers · 01/04/2009 16:25

just did boots early test. Bfn. At 12dpo would show wouldn't it? Right, where is spotting/af then?

OP posts:
Joolsiam · 01/04/2009 14:54

LOL - I always rummage - not with tools though

Sounds very painful Wasabi I hope the drugs kick in soon

yellowflowers · 01/04/2009 14:40

thanks ladies - I am hoping too. Not that optimistic though as feel like spotting will start any minute - in fact (waaaay tmi) I had a rummage earlier with a tampon (I know, very bad) and it did come out with a speck of bright red blood, but perhaps I as being a bit hard with the applicator!

wasabi - tonsillitis is awful. I used to get it all the time and then had them removed. Only thing for it other than antibiotics is loads and loads of sleep.

jools - EDD will be awful. Can you arrange something nice (weekend away, night out etc) for the weekend after so at least something to look forward to?

OP posts:
wasabipeanut · 01/04/2009 13:22

Its official - I have farkin tonsilitus. Quite nasty as well apparently. I am being dosed with penicillin plus many lovely painkillers. Its even making my ears hurt.

Penicillin might not actually work apparently as it could be viral not bacterial. Bloody hope they do cos I am hungry and thirsty but it hurts so much to eat and drink I just can't face it.

Pinky - sorry to hear that your tests didn't reassure you. Try and think of it that at least you are closer to fixing the problem - it is better to know than carry on being disappointed every month.

Yellow - I am so crossing my fingers that its your lucky month!

Jools - I think hormonal wobbles around approaching due dates would be fairly normal. Its so difficult to be happy for people yet at the same time manage your own feelings and expectations, and indeed, disappointment.

Joolsiam · 01/04/2009 13:14

Yellow - when I got my one and only BFP, I was pretty sure by 12DPO as I'd not had the usual spotting - a sure give-away

I've gone from having creamy CM to being bone dry too

yellowflowers · 01/04/2009 12:26

iggy - not taking over at all. 7 days seems like a n age when you are waiting...

I think spotting about to start but not hendred per cent sure. 12dpo today but spotting usually started by 11dpo, unless ov dates were wrong. Temp high still but had very disturbed sleep again so that is probably why. boobs have stopped hurting and no cm at all (tmi?) - bone dry in fact.

OP posts:
Pinkyblue123 · 01/04/2009 12:12

Jools I found that my EDD was very upsetting, I could not help but be reminded of it as it was my birthday! Lets hope you get a BFP before then to cheer you up.

I am feeling pretty low about the low progesterone, when I asked if I could still get PG GP said that they could not tell as I maybe ovulating but I may not be. I always get positive OPK I guess I will be able to tell if my temperature goes up this month ( my first month of temping) I guess i can compare it to the charts i still have when I was TTC my DS five years ago.

Joolsiam · 01/04/2009 11:26

Crossed posts Pinkyblue - sorry, no experience to offer but at least you are being referred. I've heard great things on MN about Clomid helping ovulation, so there is plenty of hope.

I ended up in tears this morning - not sure if it was hormonal or just an emotional response / reminder of my EDD

4DPO and going quietly mad, but another 2lbs down on the scales :D :D :D
