Joolsaim, funtime and yellow thanks so much for your support.

Joolsiam keep trying to tell myself the same thing, i had a look at another test i did and the pg line was realy dark but the control line was realy faint and the one i did this morn both lines are exzctly the same so thinking possibly just different amounts of dye etc.

I feel ok and boobs are still sore and i just keep thinking tthat if i am going to lose there is nothing i can do to stop it at all and worrying too much is not going to help matters. Its realy hard to think it but if this is meant to be it will be wont it.

No more sodding pg tests for me thats it just going to wait for the scan which is a week tomorrow and this week has gone realy quickly so hopefully next week will too.

Yellowflowers · 09/04/2009 12:20

Ray - am sure it is fine. Much love for you though...

jools - am v excited...

Ray - PG tests really tell you nothing after a while - even two tests out of the same box might have different amounts of dye / manufacturing issues etc and show faints / stronger lines.

Hold on to the fact that (I think ?) you have got further on this time than before - it has to be a good sign

funtimewincies · 09/04/2009 10:38

Repeat the manta ray - tests only tell you that you're pregnant, not how pregnant you are.

Deep breaths...

funtimewincies · 09/04/2009 10:37

It's all I've got left, sorry, except for dh's beer (note the supportive tee-totalism in these trying early weeks).

Jools - Won't say that it sounds promsising as I'll jinx you, so... you're imagining these symptoms and there is no way that you're pg and it's all PMT !

ray81 · 09/04/2009 10:34

hi guys,

Am panicing today as did a test this morn and it wasnt as strong as the other i have done, it was still strong but not as strong so am worried that my hormones are dropping.
Have phoned the epu and left a message for them to come back to me asap. just want some reassurance realy.

Why do we put ourselves through all this.

Joolsiam · 09/04/2009 10:33

S*d the mulled wine - am passing over what remains of my bottle of Absolut Vodka - yummy stuff

Had a couple of dizzy spells earlier and am unusually ravenous . Also burst into tears after trying to book a holiday, finding the original dates weren't available and we would have to go a day earlier and pay another £100

thanks pinky - and felt a whole lot better when dh came home and just let me cry for a bit and was very nice and kept saying it will happen for us. The thing is, I fell in love and got married a while after my friends so I guess babies will happen for me a while after them too. And if having babies is like finding dh then i was doing everything I could - going out, internet dating etc - but it still happebed with someone I know and when I least expected it. So babies probably the same - I will do everything right but it will still be a surprise and out of my control.

Thinking of you iggy. Also cindy if you are around.

Very much hoping for you jools

So sorry Iggy my thoughts are with you big hugs xx It is a horrible thing to go through and so you just need to be kind to yourself, I echo Jools make sure you have painkillers and lots of pads to hand.

All sounds promising Jools, fingers crossed for a nice Easter surprise!!

Yellow I think the TTC business can just get to you when you least expect it sometimes and make you feel really tearful for know apparent reason.

Business as usual with me. Managed to convince DH to BD last night despite him being under the weather and was glad I did as had strong + OPK today, so guess what we will be upto this Easter break!! (small children permitting!)

Yellowflowers · 08/04/2009 21:11

Burst into tears on tube for no reason. At home now and still feel rubbish. Feels like delayed pmt really. Didn't have any this month (usually get it day before first day of flow). Or maybe because I a visited a friend and new baby today. Must pull self together.

jools sounds very promising. Here's hoping.

Oh iggy . Lots of wine and hugs and we're here when it hits.

iggypiggy · 08/04/2009 17:57

wasabi thanks - am actually trying to be ok about it all - so I guess is prob not a good thing.. but expect it might 'hit' me again when start bleeding.

Hope you have a good easter

Am thinking of you too c1ndy

wasabipeanut · 08/04/2009 16:46

Iggy I'm so sorry to see that the worst has been confirmed for you. Enjoy your cheese and wine and give yourself some time to grieve. I thought I "got over" mine quickly but I now know that all I was doing was pushing the grief forward by convincing myself I'd get pg again really quickly. Try to resist any pressure to feel like you've got over things IYSWIM.

As for pills or natural approach only you can decide that. You may find that now you know for sure you can sort of let go. For me, this is when the bleeding started. If you have already started to spot then the process is underway, it just might take some time to happen fully.

C1ndy if you are lurking big hugs to you too. I am thinking of you too.

Jools - well this all sounds very positive lady! I look forward to seeing news next week.

I'll be offline for a few days anyway as we are off to the inlaws for Easter. I have no hopes for this cycle anyway. I have been spotting on and off and am on CD10 so there is definitely something peculiar happenning with my hormones. My tenps are all over the place (admittedly not helped by my recent tonsilitus or fact that ds has been sleeping badly for the last few days) so I'm not getting my hopes up.

Patience was never my strong point but I don't have much choice this time.

Happy Easter everyone

iggypiggy · 08/04/2009 14:12

I really hope is your month - does sound hopeful

Joolsiam · 08/04/2009 13:44

OMG - I really think it might be possible - have pink spotting at 11DPO !!!!!!!

iggypiggy · 08/04/2009 11:02

Sat - guess only two more mornings - then next one is Sat - I have fingers crossed for you x

Joolsiam · 08/04/2009 11:00

hmm - well I convinced myself yesterday that my symptoms were all in my head, then went to the gym and really felt quite odd in the abdominal area - situps were painful (very unusual) so I stopped doing them, and I had cramps for a while after.

Other than a tender abdomen, no symptoms really and am thinking today that this is probably nothing - gaaaaaahhhhhhhh !!

Should know by Sat

iggypiggy · 08/04/2009 10:55

Thanks for that Jools - good tips re: stuff to take - am going to shops at lunchtime as have no painkillers or pads at all

so any more news from you jools ?

Joolsiam · 08/04/2009 09:32

Hi Iggy

Am glad you are going to stay around

I think I am the last MC'er from my postnatal thread not to have another BFP, and some are really far along now - you could be back here moaning about MS sooner than you think

My natural MC was quite shocking and scary - like you, I knew something wasn't right and, if I'm honest, had suspected for a while. I am sure yours won't be nearly so bad as it is earlier.

Best I can suggest is what I said before - if you are out and about over the weekend, take a bag with you holding a dark towel, heavy duty pads, some wipes, paracetamol and ibuprofen (or stuff with codeine is recommended too) and a change of bottom half. Try to drink lots of water to replace what may be lost if the bleeding happens quickly.

Mine started off with brown blood and mucusy bits one day, a smear of red the next night, then by lunchtime next day, I had a gush (waters I guess) and then it all happened really quickly. So, I think you will get some warning.

iggypiggy · 08/04/2009 09:23

Thanks all xx

I did know really - so was sort of a relief as well as a shock - if that makes any sense. Have not been given ERPC option as Dr says is too small - so not worth it.

Anyway - am going to buy some cheese and some wine for tonight and just hope that the MC happens sometime soon - otherwise will take pills after easter weekend (have them in my bag, so can use them whenever).

You have all helped me loads over the last week - so am very very grateful. Is just all a bit shite - but as soon as everything sorts itself out I'll def be back ttc. But either way I'll still post here

queenie1 · 08/04/2009 08:06

iggy - so very sorry to hear this. Even though it's what you expected, it must still have been really hard to have been told this yesterday. I remember when this happened to me and how heart broken I felt.

As for next steps, only you can decide what feels right for you. I never had to make that decision as I bled pretty much straight away but a good friend of mine who was in a similar situation to you said she just wanted it over with asap so she could move on so opted for a D and C (she wasn't given option of pills).

I'm so sad for you, and as everyone else has said, we're all here for you. Take good care of yourself. xxx

Broodzilla · 07/04/2009 21:08

iggy oh no... I'm so, so sorry. I don't know what else to say, apart from that we're all here for you.

Look after yourself.

Yellowflowers · 07/04/2009 20:06

So sorry iggy. Thinking of you at this horrible time.
xx

Joolsiam · 07/04/2009 20:01

Sorry Iggy

At least the waiting is over now and you can start to move on. I can't advise you on choices as I didn't get any - lots of info in the mc forum about the pros and cons of each approach though, and what to expect - well worth a read if you need help deciding.

The Emmsys angels thread in there was a lifesaver to me back in Nov - lots of support from people going through exactly the same thing x x x
