hi kyte and scorpio funtime - too early to be a definite no.

You may have seen from the other threads I've been posting asking about symptoms - something is afoot with me. I have been getting indigestion after eating, constipation, weird ache in lower back extending into leg a bit yesterday, slightly odd feeling in boobs and am now feeling sick. However temp was not particularly high this morning (36.45 from coverline of 36.24) so probably not pregnant at all. PLus FF moved ovulation day when I input temp this am so now says I am only 4dpo not 6 as I thought. Also I slept very badly last night which may be why I feel a bit sick and werid now.

I also caved in this morning (11 dpo) and did an ultra-sensitive t'internet cheapie test this morning (1st wee) and got a BFN. Something would have shown up on such a low test by this time, so I'm expecting the witch to appear this weekend.

Wasabi - I've just started taking low-dose (75mg) aspirin as it was flagged up at my appointment as possibly being of benefit, although the jury is still out amongst the medical profession.

However, it's not good for everyone and shouldn't be taken if you've any history of stomach problems or excessive bleeding. Worth checking with a doctor before taking it if you're vegetarian, as your blood might be slightly thinner anyway than that of a meat-eater (iron in a meat-protein rich diet).

Think I might go and raid the fridge now .

kittycatcat · 19/02/2009 09:36

Hello everyone

Welcome Kyte

Wasabi that sounds positive.

broodzilla might try the asprin for my AF to. I have never had one like this before! Ouch.

whatsfortea i think C1ndy used preseed and she is expecting in october!

wasabipeanut · 19/02/2009 09:00

Whatsfortea - slapped wrist for you young lady. We've all been there - several times in my case.

Funtime - the boobs never lie! If its any comfort I've started imagining various things as well - so much for me never symptom spotting. My sense of smell is definitely stronger than it ususally is post ov. However, that could be down to progesterone levels being higher than usual post mc. As could the mild crampy pain I had last night and this morning.

Welcome Kyte - nice to meet you. Other ladies on here are waaaaay more knowledgable than me on temping so I will let one of them explain it all. All I know is that it goes up post ov!

Evening all,

I just have to confess to losing all willpower tonight and doing a pregnancy test - no idea why, as it's still early and not even FMU etc - I was just powerless when I got home and unfortunately there was one in the bathroom.

Needless to say, it was a BFN, lol! Why do I do these things sigh

Anyway - I will not do another one, until AF is deffo late.

funtime it's not over yet, your temp is still up even if not as high as during the last week. I'm at the point now where mine could drop any day - it usually goes down to about 36.3 and then AF turns up the next day. I find this temping business quite fascinating, I wish I knew about it years ago, it would have made life easier knowing exactly the day before my period started instead of only knowing the nearest week!

iggy I am very impressed with your BD stats, definitely something that I will have to work towards! DH and I always seem to run out of steam at the most crucial time, so must try harder next month.

Hello to kyte

btw - is anyone here using preseed? Think I will be ordering some if not successful this month.

Broodzilla · 18/02/2009 20:26

Hi ladies,

Just checking in... I wrote a long post last night but it's disappeared somewhere!

Amongst other things, I wanted to say good luck to flintski, excited hopeful wibes to funtime, happy AF departure to Jools and welcome on the 2ww to yellow.

Also, I can't remember who asked (I think it's the scrolling back that gets my posts disappearing) but a) We're on month 4 of TTC. (Well, came off the pill in November.) and b) I've cut down on drinking, but by no means stopped. I have a glass or two of wine on Fri and Sat nights and perhaps a cheeky 1/2 pint on one night in the week.

Nothing much to report in camp Broodzilla. I got really excited as I had a very sharp temp dip for one day (which should be good news) until it dipped again the day after that, and now it's hovering around 35C. WTF??
I'm 9DPO so should actually be having high(er) temps now regardless of whether or not I'm preggo.

FF has given us 47 points (out of 100) on the likelyhood of a BFP this month. I flipped a coin last night to see how lucky I was, and can you believe it, it took me EIGHT!!! flips to get heads. EIGHT! It's a bloody coin, I should get every other, right?

(Am starting to think the TTC is making me doolally...)

I'm going away for 2 weeks for work and have decided to POAS tomorrow AM. I know it's way, way too early, but I hate the thought of ending the 2ww half way across the world from DH.

Ummm... and... I will be adding yet another thing to the TTC regime. Aspirin. It seems to be beneficial (in SMALL doses) while TTC.
Also, funtime you might want to look into it as it's supposed to be especially good for people with recurring MCs?

I usually pop one before I get on a long-haul flight anyway, so I figured I might as well keep taking them at least until the 2ww is over.

I've got to go and rescue my hot cross buns from the toaster...

funtimewincies · 18/02/2009 20:02

Oh wasabi don't be cruel, my boobs have started hurting now in hope !

Kyte - Welcome! Are to ttc#1?

hopeforbundleofjoy · 18/02/2009 19:45

ive been feeling hotter alot recently usually im always cold but past few days ive been hot all the time

hopeforbundleofjoy · 18/02/2009 19:44

ive developed a craving for soft mints today! i dont know if its too early or not but some thing feels diff this month- we bd every day since day 8 or 9. is it too early to have symtoems relating to pregnancy? im on day 19 btw

wasabipeanut · 18/02/2009 19:36

Iggy - I;m with funtime on the bunny bit! No wonder you're worn out after that sort of schedule. I'd need a holiday after that. Interesting stats you posted. So far both my pregnancies have been concieved in my early 30's well before the 9 month average so I will take that as a positive!

Funtime - boo, hiss if your temperature readings mean a cold rather than being pg. I understand the desire not to have false hope but at the same time I still think its odd to have temperatures climbing that much for a cold. Perhaps it could be a combination of being ill and being pg? Given that every pregnancy alters your hormonal makeup to some degree its possible that symptoms would vary from your previous ones.

Yellow - do your duty!! It's rbbish when it feels like that I know but afterwards you'll be glad you made the effort!

Jools - on hon you sound so down. As far as I know ov sticks can't tell you if you are oving - they can just tell you that your body is releasing the hormone to make it try. I think the only way to know for sure is blood tests or scans but I'm not 100% sure. Please try and stay positive.

Well I had my 2nd session of therapy today. It was EFT which is like a kind of emotional acupuncture. I was cynical at first to be honest but I definitely feel better for having done it. It wasn't just my mc that needed to be discussed it was also the rather traumatic birth of my ds. Suffice to say it wasn't as relaxing as the last session but it helped me fdeel somehow lighter, like all the anger and fear and sadness surrounding both issues had gone.

I have one more session booked to program lots of positive feelings around ttc then I'm done!

hi all, got to rush as we are going away for a couple of days in a min but just wanted to say sorry that everyone seems to be feeling down (don't think i helped!) hope we can feel more positive soon. have a good couple of days and good luck to anyone on 2ww.

yellowflowers · 18/02/2009 17:04

I thought you were referencing igglepiggle too!

temping impossible to do without other half knowing I found but you could come up with another reason perhaps?

OP posts:
iggypiggy · 18/02/2009 16:30

quite like iggybunny funtime I was told the other day that apparently there is some children's tv thing called IgglePiggle... which is v. close to iggypiggy! Expect everyone thinks I chose it for that reason - which I didn't - It's the nickname I give one of my pets

yellow - that is exactly what I do with Fertility Friend... Guess I could do temping - but would have to tell DH that is what I am doing - and am worried that he might feel more pressure if I start doing that... He is kind of in a 'it will happen when it happens' sort of frame of mind...

WanabeMum · 18/02/2009 13:42

Hey ladies,

Lots of negative vibes on here at the moment. Isn't it a bitch how the 2WW does that to us?

Funtime don't give up hope just yet, wait until you know for sure.

Jools you sounds really low hunny hope you get back to your normal self soon. It's aweful feeling down. Have plenty of "Me time" i.e. baths, wine, pampering in general! That may lift you a little.

Don't give up ladies, it took me 11 months to conceive and I'm 25 in June so everyone is different and not everyone is ttc by the book every month. It's not possible, it would drive you mad! Keep up the hard work ladies, it will happen when the time is right xxx

Joolsiam · 18/02/2009 13:13

I use Fertility Friend, but currently over-ride it and put in my own ovulation day, based on CM and ov pains. Am thinking of buying some ov sticks today, just to double check my thinking for this cycle.

I am slightly concerned about ovulation - all the signs are there in terms of CM pattern and ov pain BUT:

Back in July when I thought I was PG and it turned out to be a CP, I noticed very sore boobs from around 2 days post ovulation - this was a CP

The same thing happened the next month - AF arrived on schedule

The month after was my BFP month - same sore boobs way before implantation could have occurred so I assumed it was an OV symptom.

Since the MC, I haven't had sore boobs AT ALL post ov and am now worrying that, despite the signs, the lack of sore boobs means that I'm going through the motions but not actually ovulating.

Any ideas anyone ??

yellowflowers · 18/02/2009 13:12

okay - well this is my ninth cycle of 'properly' trying so maybe I will be Ms Average and conceive this month - everything crossed...

Iggy I have used FF for a year but originally just putting in ewcm, shagging and period dates, and then it gives you ovulation based on 14 days before period - then a few months ago I started temping and it really came into its own - charts are great and you can compare charts with others (even choosing just to do with people your age etc) and adjusting ovulation based on temp which is also a godsend if cycles not regular so you know when you can stop bd every other night.

Blimey iggypiggy, we should change your name to iggybunny !

Temp. this morning has settled back to a more reasonable 36.60, so it looks as if I'm ill rather than preggers. No pg symptoms, so resigned for this month. If I manage it next month a due date would be very close to ds' birthday as, looking back at my charts, I conceived around March 3rd with him. Fingers crossed for a busy Chrismas this year .

Thanks for the kind words, I think that I'd be less grumpy of I wasn't in the position of having the secondary battle of keeping the beans after the first battle of actually conceiving .

Right, potatoes to chit now that ds is having a nap.

iggypiggy · 18/02/2009 13:04

I have just read this online (babyworld I think?)

For a woman aged 20-25, the chances of conceiving are around 25 per cent for each cycle (that is a one in four chance)

For a woman aged 30-35, the chances are 15 per cent, and thereafter the likelihood of becoming pregnant continues to decline with increasing age

It will take a couple in their early twenties an average of five cycles to conceive

Women in their early thirties will get pregnant, on average, after nine cycles

One in ten couples will take more than a year to succeed in conceiving

How cheery

iggypiggy · 18/02/2009 13:00

kittycatcat yes I have according to this month's predication it says i will Ov tomorrow... event hough i have added in all the stuff about EWCM and pains etc...
