I am having twinges... not proper cramps - but am convinced AF is on way... v. sad cos Am sure we BD'd at right time this month...

funtimewincies · 03/03/2009 09:44

I'm obviously the wrong sort, as I've tried 3 or 4 times over the last couple of years to join FF and it still doesn't want me .

queenie1 · 02/03/2009 21:29

kyte - here's hoping that you got lucky then! x

Hi kyte - from what I know (and I'm no expert!) I don't think it's possible to double ov each month. Can't help you on the temping thing though as clueless. Am sure someone else will be able to.

queenie1 same day as me then... mine would be due weds or poss thurs.

I want to test now - but don't want to be dissapointed... going to wait i reckon. maybe test Thurs am? Guess depends if I get cramps etc.

queenie1 · 02/03/2009 16:07

yellow - forgot to say sorry to hear you've had such a rough weekend. huge, huge virtual hugs to you.

queenie1 · 02/03/2009 16:06

wasabi - totally understand the envy! Two friends of mine have just announced they are PG...delighted for them, of course, but green with envy

iggy - how lucky for you to have a nurse and a doctor for parents!! Here's hoping for you for this month.

If I've not got my AF by Wed then I might consider testing...so looks like we need to hand-hold in the next couple of days
x

iggypiggy · 02/03/2009 15:11

I have spoken to my mum (nurse) and my dad (doctor) and they reckon just hold on for now and see if I get the pains again. My dad's inspired suggestion was Ov pains... but that would be really far too late!

wasabi a small part of me is hoping the nausea is a good sign.. but I've had nausea before AF a few times before and been convinced Also sorry you feeling bad - totally understand - am meeting a friend who is 24 weeks PG next week.. am worried that I might be a bit

yellowflowers · 02/03/2009 14:18

Hi Wasabi - poor you, that is horrible.Hope you feel a bit better after getting it out of your system on here. xx

wasabipeanut · 02/03/2009 13:56

Iggy - hope whatever you decided to do about these sickness and pains you are feeling better now. If your AF doesn't whow on Weds then its testing time Missy!

Yellow - big hugs to you my lovely. Poor thing, what a shit few days you've had. At least your dh is on board for this month! Every now and again I seem to to have a month of complete random spotting and lateness of main event. I think its mother natures way of messing with our heads.

Queenie - hey honey don't give up just because of the lack of tangible symptoms. Loads of women don't get any at all. Its not over until the witch arrives.

Flintski - I don't think anyone can be that sure of when they ov. Temping probably gives the clearest ndication but all OPK's do is tell you your body is thinking about releasing an egg soonish. And they are based on the idea that you only have one LH surge a month which isn't necessarily the case. Even ov pains I have read can be a build up of mucus in the tube rather than the actual egg releasing.

Bottom line seems to be have loads of sex because hoping to catch the moment is pretty impossible.

Hopefirbundle - I have my fingers crossed for you too.

Well I have had a few bad moments in the last few days. My SIL who is about 22 weeks pg with her first told us she bought her dh a little babygro for Valentines Day saying "I love daddy." I then burst into tears because I wished it could have been me buying cute things for my dh from a bump.

Npw I've just checked hotmail and seen pics of a new arrival of another friend of ours - her 2nd child. Already has a ds and now a very sweet little dd - natch. The perfect family.

Feel shit and guilty for feling so envious. I try so hard to stay positive but every now and again something just floors me.

when I had awful shoulder pain and was expecting period I worried it was ectopic (it turned out to be muscle strain from carrying friend's 4 year old on shoulders) but I rang the epu (early pregnancy unit) at uch (got number from google search) and spoke to a nurse and she was very good and asked lots of questions and said she didn't think I needed to come in. She was much better than nhs direct. Maybe do that?

OP posts:
iggypiggy · 02/03/2009 10:50

Yellow - I think it would be a bit early for an ectopic to make me feel ill? I thought you had to be a few weeks PG? You're right about symptoms tho... I looked them up!

kitty but not got much to say to them except I feel a tiny bit sicky! Might ring NHS direct... or my mum..

yellowflowers · 02/03/2009 10:17

iggy - could it be an ectopic? Don't want to worry you but you should get to the doctor. do you feel better now?

OP posts:
kittycatcat · 02/03/2009 10:16

iggy get yourself down the doctors just in case! x

iggypiggy · 02/03/2009 10:04

yellow have some hugs xx

Am not sure what's wrong with me... been feeling sick all day yesterday - then last night I woke up with terrible stabbing pains in the lower right hand side of my stomach - they didn't go for about an hour - kept thinking I might be sick from the pain. Then they went and I fell asleep Now just feel sick..

Don't think these are PG symptoms - more worried about poss appendicitis...

Not sure - all confused

Joolsiam · 02/03/2009 09:44

Another ovulation predictor that sounds interesting ovwatch - not cheap, but claims to be able to sense the 4 fertile days before ovulation and all you have to do is wear the "watch" at night.

Have been looking on the FF forums and it has mixed reviews but a lot of positive.

yellowflowers · 02/03/2009 09:07

thanks jools (and kitty) - that sounds confusing for you. Don't worry, I don't have the willpower for drastic weight loss. But I am going to cut down carbs and chocolate anyway and give up alcohol. I think I may have a touch of thrush too so going to get that cleared up.

Joolsiam · 02/03/2009 09:04

Yellow - if it IS a CP, perhaps this is a good sign that your body is getting used to conceiving and the next one will stick ?

Just be careful about dieting - I've been on a very low calorie diet for a week now - on Thurs my EWCM dried up but I should have ovulated Friday. Now I'm seeing creamy CM - can only assume that a very very low calorie diet has screwed up my cycles. I'm not too bothered, as I think I need to lose weight before I conceive, but bear in mind you don't want to diet too drastically

kittycatcat · 02/03/2009 08:59

yellow big hugs. Look at it that your body has taken another step in the right direction? x

yellowflowers · 02/03/2009 08:54

Hi queenie - everything crossed for you.

I feel rubbish actually - teary the whole time and have cried so much this weekend. I really thought this was it with the spotting starting at 8dpo (never happened before) and the veiny boobs and also lots of stitch like cramping above public line. Maybe another cp? Period now very heavy and woke me up with pains last night though I got back to sleep and actually having my pain at night better than in the day as it lasts about 4 hours usually and is hugely distracting.

Do youthink dieting for next 2 weeks will have any difference on this month's chances. I mean will 2 weeks make any difference? Anyway I am going to be very healthy this month and dh is signed up for midmonth shag fest too.

Hi all

No AF for me today and in past few months it has arrived 11dpo (which is what I am today, I think )

I don't feel remotely PG. Saying that, don't feel like AF is on the way either. In fact it's all feeling strangely quiet down there

Will not test as I can't face seeing a BFN. Instead, planning to wait a few days and see whether the wretched witch turns up...

Got my fingers crossed for you hopeforbundle!

yellow - big hugs to you lovely. It's SO shit isn't it. How are you feeling today?
