Hello can i join in? This seems to be a very lucky thread and i need all the luck i can get.

On CD12 after taking clomid and first month TTC after MC in November (fell on clomid then too) so fingers crossed for this month.

Congrats to all the BFPs it is fantastic news and gives me hope that one day it will be my turn. Queenie i understand how you feel as i have 3 mc under my belt as well, are you under the EPU? if you are contact them and they will do an early scan when you hit 6-7 weeks just to put your mind at rest.
I was the same as you when i concieved in Nov and just enjoyed the fact that i had a BFP although it ended in tears i'm glad i just made sure i was happy rather then worrying ALL the time.

Iggy at your boss that is such an awful attitude to have its your right to have a baby when you want to and i think you hould tell her as like Kyte said if you dont and she makes comments you cant do anything about it but if she knows and says things then you have her by the short and curlies .

Well i have been temping and doing OPKS and although nothing on OPKS temp dropped yesterday so Ov should be soon.
Yellow dont worry about the temp thing for the minute, if it goes down again tomorrow then its a dud one if it doesnt then you have Ov which would seem alittle early i must say,. I have a feeling its a Dud though i have one about the same time.
I think i ahve spoken to a few of you before so it would be nice to join again if you dont mind.?

yellowflowers · 07/03/2009 13:02

just dashing in to check on you all and wow, brilliant news queenie - heading out now but will be back tomorrow or mon to read messages properly. My temp shot up this am but is only cd7 so don't know what's going on there.

wow they are rolling in thick and fast now

Congratulations Queenie

Pezzina · 07/03/2009 11:14

Congratulations Queenie!

Broodzilla I understand how you feel about moving over to the antenatal or pregnancy threads - I couldn't bring myself to do it until after 8 or 9 weeks. Everyone is so supportive on this thread that it was really hard to move.

Good luck to anyone else testing this week!

flintski · 07/03/2009 11:06

Wow - what a lucky thread this is! - Well done, well done well done Queenie!!

I know you will be cautious with your history but like funtime said - this is a brand new chance!

funtimewincies · 07/03/2009 10:54

Oh congratulations Queenie, what fabulous news! I know what you mean about not being as innocent (also having too many mc's to my name) but each new BFP is a new chance and it's great that you're feel really positive about this one.

etc!

queenie1 · 07/03/2009 09:22

Morning all. I finally cracked and tested and...wait for it...BFP!!!!!

It came up straight away and it's a really dark line so guess I can't argue with that. I knew I was, really, as of Thursday night because my boobs were just so intensely sore but the constant lower back aching was still making me wonder.

I'm so excited. It's been 9 months now since I last conceived and I'm feeling v good and positive about this one. At the same time, with 3 MCs under my belt I'm also only too aware that it could all end in tears quite quickly...but for now, just going to concentrate on the excitment of the BFP.

Thanks for all your support over past few days. DH is out so you lot are the first to know!!!

Iggy - I had v. bad sickness with ds and the only thing that helped was Lucozade and crisps (yes, together). Unfortunately you end up with an orange moustache and work colleagues begin to think that you're out on the sauce every night and have a hangover every morning !

Gearing up for ov. here. On the plus side dh has now found out that he'll be in the country at the crucial time next month too .

Broodzilla · 06/03/2009 19:17

Pezzina glad you're starting to feel better! (Did you get MS right away or at a certain week?) Must feel great to be out of the first trimester!

In other news, I've just been for a wander over in the pregnancy section and all the horror stories will have me hiding in here for a good few weeks. Ignorance really is bliss.

I keep telling myself that statistically speaking it is way more likely that everything will be fine. (And then I remember all that coin flipping I did in the 2ww...)

Imagine being one of those people who is blissfully unaware of getting or even being pregnant and then just pops out a baby.

Pezzina · 06/03/2009 16:06

Hi everyone!

I have been lurking to see how you are all doing and sprinkling baby dust.

Congratulations to Iggy and Broodzilla ? fantastic news!

Iggy ? regarding the sickness ? the only way I could deal with it was to eat little and often. When ever I started to feel sick I would snack on something like a piece of fruit or a bit of chocolate, any thing you can really, and that seemed to do the trick. It did feel like I was forever eating for a while but it did stop me from actually being sick which was worth it.

I?m 14wks tomorrow and am very happy to report that the sickness is going ? hoorah!

Just wanted to know that I?m always thinking of you guys and wishing you well.

xx

Broodzilla · 06/03/2009 14:39

Aaaah, Friday!

Queenie I wish I had even a smidgeon of your self discipline! You know we'll all be thinking about you all weekend and collectively crossing our fingers Monday morning.

Jools Well done you - it must be really gratifying to see the pounds falling off so you can see all your hard work making a difference. Interesting that it's also good for TTC.

Wasabi have you thought about temping for a month? Not in an obsessive way, just to work out what your body is doing. I found it really cool to see how the chart was developing! Our bodies are such amazing, complex things. For what it's worth, I only had a faint OPK last month, but could see clearly from my chart that I had ovulated. The month before I was convinced I hadn't, so that's why I decided to temp.

Iggy OMG I can't believe your boss! She really doesn't sound like a very nice person... I would probably do what you're doing, keep it from her for a few weeks if you can manage with the MS. Personally, I only end up feeling nauseous if I'm hungry or tired, but like you, I've been trying to work out if it's too early to think I've had a lucky escape. (From what I've found, some people start feeling sick straight away, others don't start until about week 8 so I guess it varies.)

The only think that actually makes me feel ill is sweet things. Normally, I have a sweet tooth (so much so that if I'm eating out, I start reading the menu from the back and plan the rest of the meal around the dessert) but now I really can't face eating anything sweet. So, I guess, so far, that's easy to cope with!

One of my friends said she found the prenatals were making her feel ill, she feels much better now that she has swapper brands. Also, B6 apparently helps too.

I've still got cramps and am knickerchecking like there's no tomorrow...

Have a good weekend one and all!

queenie1 · 06/03/2009 12:47

Hi jools - great to hear you sounding so upbeat and well done on weight loss.

wasabi - before my first MC I was always about 30 days but after MCs my cycles have been a bit all over the place with cycles ranging from 24 to 33 days. Over past few months, it's got back to being a bit more predictable though - i.e. between 28 and 31. What has changed though is that I now OV much later in my cycle than when I used to and have a shorter LP. All this was confirmed by OPKs so perhaps give them a go this month?

iggy - sorry to here about your unsympathetic boss.

xx

iggypiggy · 06/03/2009 11:15

yellow trust me she's a nightmare I think I'll wait and see how I go - if I need to tell her I will... would prob be easier...

jools you sound really positive

wasabi Hope Jools is right and ov is just a bit late this month for you. xx

yellowflowers · 06/03/2009 10:40

iggy - that is an outrageous thing for your boss to say. Can you confront bull by horns and tell her you are pregnant and it's early days but you wanted to let her know because you are feeling rather sick. If she says anything after that it is harrassment and you can bring a grievance. But my guess is once you are she will just be very nice to you.

wasabipeanut · 06/03/2009 10:04

Jools - glad to read you're feeling positive about things and chilling out on the ttc side. Well done on the weight loss - must be very gratifying to see it shift so fast.

Thanks for your notes on your cycle too - mine must be following a similar pattern.

Joolsiam · 06/03/2009 09:53

Hi Everyone

Just dropping in quickly to say hello and CONGRATULATIONS to Iggy and wish Queenie lots of luck with testing

Funtime - I know how you are feeling. I too have tried to distance myself a little to stop TTC being all-consuming. At the moment, it is kind of working and I'm feeling better for it

Wasabi - my first bleed around 6 weeks post MC was anovulatory. During the first full cycle immediately after that, I definitely ovulated later - on CD21 rather than my usual CD14-16. The next cycle was completely back to normal- 14 days to the HOUR since AF started. So, you may have one late ov and then be back to normal

Diet still going well - I've now lost 6 pounds in 12 days which I'm very pleased with, and it takes me back to the weight I was when my world fell apart in November. Since the diet seems to have suppressed my cycle, I'm just going to keep going with it till Easter and see how much more I can lose. If AF does return, I will TTC as I've been told that this diet, containing exactly all the right vitamins and minerals your body needs, can actually increase fertility and is perfectly safe provided you increase calorie intake once pregnancy is confirmed ..

Happy Friday everyone - the sun is out and it is nearly the weekend

iggypiggy · 06/03/2009 09:46

yellow yes - did do something different... tried to BD every day - which we pretty much managed - and def over the right time... we tailed out a bit towards the end, but I was in the 2ww by then...

Also - DH gave up smoking at Christmas - which I think made a difference...

Also - I came off pill in Oct 2007 and tried for about 4/5 months, then stopped and started again 6 months ago.

Wasabi - is my boss that is the problem - she is in office next to mine and bathroom is next to that! She has spent every week since I got married telling me not to get PG cos it would be so bad for her etc etc.

queenie Thanks! I was exactly same as you - which is why I tried to put off testing till at least AF was due.. I have my fingers crossed for you. xx

wasabipeanut · 06/03/2009 09:42

Queenie - I thought we were getting some more news this morning! I was thinking of you as I was getting ready this morning. I thik wheb you are officially a week late would be a good time to test - especially if your knockers are still sore.

And yes, we are gearing up. Its wierd though - I am CD10 and in the past would have been getting increased CM (sorry if TMI) but at the moment I'm not.

I have a feeling this mc has changed my cycles again - I might not even ov again this month

queenie1 · 06/03/2009 09:12

iggy - that's brilliant news. you must be so excited!!

I was just about to test this morning - but got cold feet at the last minute. I so want to be PG and don't want a bfn to tell me it's all over.

I asked DH what he thought I should do. He said try to wait til Monday as I've never had clear positives until about a week late (and now I know it's because I OV so late).

Last night, tenderness in boobs felt intense and I felt convinced I was PG. But also, low back ache also intense which is what I get just before AF so also doubt about it. Could go either way but at the moment I want to hold onto this possibility a bit longer by not testing...

funtime - huge hugs to you. TTC is such a rollercoaster. It's v normal to feel down from time to time (esp after lots of MCs). Agree time out can be just what you need.

wasabi - thanks for your good feeling. Hope you're gearing up for a major BD fest over next week or so? xx

wasabipeanut · 06/03/2009 09:04

Morning Iggy - yep you're definitely preggers!

If you are feeling queasy this early you might be in for a bit of a rough ride. I really struggled with morning sickness when I was pg with my ds and it was horrid. Eating regularly is v important - sometimes I could head off the nausea with a cereal bar or dried fruit or something. Sugary things can sometimes help.

Work was a toughie - I confided in a colleague so he could cover for me if necessary and that did work to some extent. I remember taking one day off sick because I felt so vile. To be honest if it is quite people might guess but is that the end of the world? They will prob speculate behind your back rather than ask you outright!

yellowflowers · 06/03/2009 09:03

Brilliant iggy - did you do anything different this month?

When I started on mumsnet I used different name. looked up first post yesterday and it was in Jan 2008 meaning I have been trying properly for longer than I thought - hilariously (or not) that month I had all the signs and thought I was pregnant too - I seem to have thought it every single month) - did not expect to still be on ttc board 14 months later. How long the rest of you been on here?

OP posts:
iggypiggy · 06/03/2009 08:45

Thank you all for your lovely messages

I tested again this morning (obsessed?! Moi?!) this time with clearblue and was definate positive - very quickly!

Want to still post on here as would feel wrong to leave. Plus who knows what will happen... But one big thing for me is that at least I know I can get pregnant, whether this one sticks or not... I was convinced I would be totally infertile.

The not drinking was fine last night - I always had a glass in front of me - and no-one noticed that I wasn't really touching it...

funtime sorry to hear you feeling low

Also - for those of you that are PG or have been before - how do you deal with MS without people at work noticing? I only feel a bit nauseous at the mo - but seems early -s o am convinced am going to be very sick at some point soon or am i jumping ahead of myself?

yellowflowers · 05/03/2009 22:18

If you are still around lovelymonster then have a fabulous holiday - I'll be in 2ww when you get back.

Funtime - I wondered where you had got to lately. I miss you although I do understand why you might need to take a break.

Queenie - I have a really good feeling for you hon. Have my fingers crossed for a good result tomorrow if you give in to that urge!

Lovelymonster - Bon Voyage!

C1ndy - if you're still lurking I hope the morning sickness passes soon. I do remember very clearly how vile it is.
