Blimey smiley, where did that time go ?! Have I really been here for all that time ?

Please pass on our hellos to Nelix and that Auntie Funtime tells hers to look after herself .

Good luck with the scan and let us know what you've got there. I think that I felt definite movement at 18/19 weeks with ds. I was in an important meeting and it was all I could do not to shout out in surprise .

smileycat · 14/03/2009 09:38

Funtime Nelix only has 10wks to go now before her DD arrives, it only seems like yesterday that she was telling us of her BFP, she is suffering for loose joints at the mo & having to take it really easy, but also getting really excited that its all going to happen soon.

I've just turned 15wks on Friday, time is going slowly but also really quickly if you know what I mean. Havn't felt any kicks yet but getting the odd popping sensation so don't think it will be long before I feel some movement. We are finding out the sex on our 20wk scan so now on a 5wk countdown, then the shopping spree will begin

Looks like most of you are busy this wkend on the bedfest, hoping that we have some more BFP's at the end of the 2WW, love to all

funtimewincies · 13/03/2009 19:22

Oh Jools, I'm sorry that you're having such a pants time . This ttc ting, especially if you're unlucky to have mcs along the way, puts so much pressure on relationships. I agree with yellow that maybe talking to a third party before it gets any worse.

Hi pinkie, lovely to hear from you again. Let's hope the bd-fest pays off this month .

Well hopefor, it sounds good. Fingers crossed for you.

I've come up with a plan for avoiding the test-stress this month. I've got a job-lot of ultra-sensitive internet cheapies and I shall test with FMU every other day from Tuesday (7 dpo). Hopefully, this should stop the huge 'shall I test' dilemma because I've comvinced myself that I've got symptoms and the subsequent huge disappointment of BFN.

yellowflowers · 13/03/2009 17:30

jools - sorry it;s a rubbish day. Your mum probably doesn;t want to cramp your style.

Sorry you are considering walking away from dh. If you do that then no chance of family unless you want to go down sperm donation route. I mean of course you will meet someone else, but maybe not immediately. Can you have some couples therapy?

Anyone using pre-seed - I have another question. It looks to me from the packaging and info that it is for use a a lubricant and doesn't kill sperm but it doesn;t necessarily do anything to promote sperm to live longer/swim better either - in which case if I make enough natural lubrication then whatis point?

Your "working from home" day sounds good Yellowflowers

I've been working from home too - not got much done really. Am really struggling with things. I know it is hormonal - there is no doubt that AF will arrive in full flow tomorrow as I've had spotting today. Up to an hour ago, I was still wondering if I'd had an anovulatory cycle, but have suddenly been hit by a fit of depression that can only be hormonal Was reading threads on here about older mums (and crying), then read a thread in the MC forum about someone having a suspected MC at around the same time as mine and then it being OK - lovely to read but I feel horrible because it made me jealous. DP and I are still not communicating - he seems to find fault with everything I do or say and I've simply had enough - he needs to either talk this through so we can fix it or I want to walk away. I can't stay with someone who has spent ten years promising me we can have a family, only to renege on that when it is too late.

Also just found out that my mum is on Facebook and has been happily chatting away with all her side of the family - cousins, nephews, nieces etc in NZ but can't be bothered to add me as a friend

Sorry, major maudlin mugging. Am trying desperately not to break my diet as that will make me feel worse in the morning but I just want to go to bed and cry, with a bottle of vodka and a giant size bar of Dairy Milk. Bloody hormones

yellowflowers · 13/03/2009 11:29

Hi pinkie,wondered where you were.

I am having indulgent day today. Am working from home as in 'working' (I am part self employed so this not as bad as it sounds) and let myself sleep until 10.30 and now watching telly with tea and banana on toast while checking mumsnet on blackberry. Later going to supermarket then cooking a feast for some friends coming tonight. Dh has promised to be home an hour before they arrive so we can 'make lurve' first! Because of all this I am in a startlingly good mood.

Also this morning (before I decided to go back to sleep) I couldn't find my thermometer and just had an epiphany that now I mainly understand my cycle if I don't temp for a while no huge disaster.

Hi Ladies. You may remember I posted around a month ago, not posted for a while as my laptop died. Just catching up on all the news. Congrats on the BFP.

Yellow I am sure it won't be long for you, you are only 30 and have loads of time. It took me 18 months to concieve my DS (started trying just before I turned 30, I had loads of tests and they could not find anything wrong with me. Then I concieved my DD really quickly and also the one I lost last year. There seems to be no logic to it been trying for 7 months this time (I am 36 now) and so far no joy.

I have been putting the work in on the BD front this month, which has been knackering as my kids get up way too early and my dh has been mega busy at work!!

funtimewincies · 12/03/2009 19:40

Whoops, sorry Queenie and Broodzilla. My brain is like mush at the moment .

Hope that your egg appears soon, apologising for it's lateness wasabi, fingers crossed.

Smiley - I was wondering how you were getting along . Have you heard how Nelix is doing these days? Her BFP seems like a very long time ago now.

ray81 · 12/03/2009 18:09

Kyte LOL at you 'no sensation and noises' i'll keep that in mind when using the preseed.
Thanks for the babydust about a swimming pool full would do if you can manage it

Hi Guys,
I think i am on a similar test schedule too guys as had +ive opk yesterday and have done lots of Bding.

Yellow, you get a syringe type thing with the Pre seed and you use that to apply it

Wasabi if you have lots of EWCM then i am sure Ov must be here very soon in which case we will be on a very similar schedule.

Lots of beds getting action this weekend and lots of happy DHs out there he he

Kyte, you lucky lucky thing that it as your first month of ttc, you must pass on some tips as i am def doing something wrong !!!! i am on month 51 that is 5 sodding years i may try the pre seed alittle more and the grapefruit thing. Hey you never know!!!!!

Well more bding tonite, i do feel completely shattered but i think that is the clomid. My head feels heavy and wondered if it has anything to do with the putitory gland and all those hormones?? !!!!

Good luck guys Baby dust to you all but keeping some back here too.

smileycat · 12/03/2009 15:06

Hi ladies soooo great to see so many more BFP's on this thread

Just wanted to let you know that we have an anti-natal extention of this thread if you want to come on over when you are ready, some times it helps to discuss symptoms or lack of with some of the girls that have just gone through the stage you are at now

I've put the thread below but don't know how to do the link
Ante-natal clubs : GFJ drinkers anonymous
hope this helps

baby dust to everyone else hope you will all soon be joining us ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

yellowflowers · 12/03/2009 14:38

I second that wasabi.

So pleased to have temping buddies, except I maybe later than you if my ovulation late as I think it is.

wasabipeanut · 12/03/2009 14:19

Looks like me, you and Funtime on a similar test schedule then Yellow

We are all so due a break.

yellowflowers · 12/03/2009 14:04

Me too. Thereis a package for me at post office and I think it is my pre-seed. Will pick it up tomorrow morning. Any tips on how to use it - do you just stick a blob up 'there'?

OP posts:
iggypiggy · 12/03/2009 13:48

Hope you get lots of BD action in this weekend then wasabi

wasabipeanut · 12/03/2009 13:44

Nope not yet - still waiting for my egg to pop! Reckon I will get a positive OPK tomorrow as this is my 2nd day of loads of EWCM. Given the recent mc I can't be surprised if my cycle is a bit funny.

This means that the timing of the weekend away could be quite good!
Then the dreaded 2ww awaits.... actually its usually 12 days for me but thats quite long enough.

iggypiggy · 12/03/2009 13:44

queenie1 sorry you feeling low. I am also feeling worried cos sickness has pretty much gone for now.. and 12 weeks seems so far away. I def think you should go for scan tho. xx

jools is good to have pressure off - we had that in January really - cos not much BD action - and is nice to not stress. Then you can properly try after that again. You should def still come on here tho

wasabi hope egg turns up soon

yellow 30 is still young - one of my friends started ttc at 36 - and spent years trying/ clomid etc and she is currently 25 weeks PG and over 40 You still have much time. xx

yellowflowers · 12/03/2009 13:40

thanks wasabi - I think though if I am having trouble now when I am relatively young thatif it doesn;t happen soon it'll only get harder.

Anyway how you doing - are you on 2ww?
x

wasabipeanut · 12/03/2009 13:20

Hey yellow - don't be be blue. You are only 30 years old you have loads of time - for travelling and babies.

Have you seen your GP yet?

yellowflowers · 12/03/2009 13:11

jools - I am convinced I will be last one one here to graduate too . Other than ttc are you okay about lack of bedroom action? Maybe you guys need holiday to restart it?

queenie - sorry things tough. Hope all okay for you. I don;t really want to go travelling to be honest - did loads when I was early 20s and now loving being settled, but need something to do if no baby... I am 30 and reckon I would adopt mid 30s if no luck but not yet.

OP posts:
queenie1 · 12/03/2009 12:12

p.s. wasabi - the month I got PG (i.e. last month) I didn't have positive opk until CD20!!! So maybe being late is a sign you may also get lucky? After all, think of all that sperm you are building up in there!!!

queenie1 · 12/03/2009 12:09

Thanks kyte and wasabi - will take your advice and go for the scan date I currently have. I told them it might be too early but they weren't bothered and said I could come back the following week if necessary...

boobs are feeling a bit tender again and now just feel tired and v emotional (but don't know if that's from stress or pregnancy!)

Thank god for all you lot - I don't know how I would get through these scary few weeks without you.

jools - well done on the weight loss. amazing progress i think, particularly as you say you find it hard to shift.
