Oh C1ndy - I am SO sorry to hear this

Life really is sh!t sometimes. I know exactly what you must be going through and the only thing I can say is be kind to yourself, don't bottle up your emotions - scream and shout and rant if you feel the need.

come back and chat to us whenever you want, or have a chat to Emmsys Angels in the MC forum - they were my lifeline. ((( )))

Pinkyblue123 · 28/03/2009 09:13

Oh Cindy I am so sorry for your loss. It is so hard especially at 12 weeks as it is just at the time you are starting to relax. Big hugs coming your way, we are all here for you.

Oh Yellow no wonder the NHS is such a mess, why do they have to make it so confusing? I hope that your doctor can clear up the confusion for you shortly.

yellowflowers · 27/03/2009 17:06

So I have found my letter and made appt but am confused because on same day the doctor referred me to two clinics both gynacology - one for fertility and one to check out whether my oral thrush is that or indeed something else called Lichen (for which you get seen at a 'Vulva Clinic' - I've only received one letter so far and because both gynacology I realised I actually don't know whether this is for fertility or for the other. Have rung doctor and waiting for them to find out for me but I hate hospital bureaucracy so much and this has reminded me why and I just want to cry.

Well hilariously (?) I have put down my appt letter somewhere and mislaid it- so can't go online until I find it!

Hi Ladies,

Thought I'd check in. Seems to be a lucky thread, can't believe how many BFPs have come in over the last few weeks! I really hope everyone will graduate by the deadline, it sure is looking good!

Pinky sorry to hear AF got you this month.
Wasabi catfood in the garden IS a good sign, I'm sure Whiskas haven't changed their recipe for a more pungent version!
Yellow FWIW... I also had a temp dip a few days PO. It was actually someone on this thread who made me think it might have been a good sign, and so it was!
Also, sleeping like a log has definitely been one of my main symptoms - I'm usually a night owl, I take ages to fall asleep and then wake up throughout the night to check the time/listen to noises/jolt from a dream. Since the BFP (if not before it even!) I've been falling asleep pretty much right away and sleeping through the night. Even stranger, I seem to have lost my morning sleepiness! I did stop loosing hair in the shower around getting the BFP but that was temporary.

I really hope that you (or anyone else) don't find the listing of symptoms patronising, I'm by no means a pregnancy expert, but just wanted to reassure you.

I've had a strange week... I had the booking in appointment with the Midwife the other day and you have to fill in this long list of symptoms/family history. Well, I'd been having strange spotting for a couple of days, like rusty water or something, and had decided not to worry too much after obsessive googling and MNing seemed to show that it's normal... well, the MW was concerned and told me to go to the Early Pregnancy Assessment Clinic at a nearby hospital.

After a sleepless night (and an argument with DH who complained that it was "inconvenient at such short notice" for him to go in to work late as I wanted him to come with me!!!) we went to the Clinic yesterday morning. They were brilliant and did an emergency scan. (Not too pleasant as it was an internal one, but who cares!)

It seemed to take half an eternity for the radiologist to speak, but then she turned the screen towards us and there was our little bean. The heartbeat looks like a blinking star, it's amazing!

Anyway, I'm 8 weeks and would be due for AF, and apparently some women get "hormonal" bleeds around this time. They couldn't see where the bleeding was coming from but said the bean looks healthy and everything is in the right place. They said that I might get the same again at 12 weeks and suggested pushing back the private scan that we had booked, so will now have it at 12 weeks instead. The nurse told me that if it happens again, I should come home and lay down and just take it easy.

They gave us an EDD of 02.11. and the funniest thing? They'd kept working from the LMP but I kept telling them that I know the conception date (thank you fertilityfriend!) and they just kept nodding their heads and going, well, we do go by LMP... turns out that the bean is on the dot conceived on the day I knew it to be! They had to adjust their dates by nearly a week (I ovulate early.)

Right, sorry about the long ramble.

Wishing everyone a happy weekend with babydust and AF repellent all around!

wasabipeanut · 27/03/2009 12:43

Pinky I'm sorry to hear you are out for this month. Your wishes for me are very kind but I think it is fairly futile as tested this morning and got BFN.

Shouldn't have tested because I have now wasted my last 10miu test. Oh well. At 13 days po it would be showing something by now if there was any hope for this month. My normally short luteal phase has now it seems been made longer since my mc which means longer 2WW's in future! Terrific.

Funtime - I'd be surprised if you weren't being neurotic hon. Have you looked into an early scan yet?

ray81 · 27/03/2009 12:42

funtime, funny you should say that as the mc i have had have all been in the 6th week so if i can get passed that i will be abit more confident too.

funtimewincies · 27/03/2009 12:34

Sorry to hear that pinky, good luck for next month and have some wine and choccie to keep your strength up.

Pinkyblue123 · 27/03/2009 12:10

Hi ladies well AF arrived this morning so another month with out the BFP. Oh well, will try again this month. Had a chat with DH this morning and both agreed that last month it all seemed very stressful and took the fun out of trying. It is so difficult as it is hard not to get stressed out about it. I think it was particularly bad this month as it is a year this weekend since my MC and I had hoped that I would be PG again by now.

I have decided to start temping this month and see if that helps.

Any news Wasabi hope you are still in the running.

Yellow I know what you mean about having mixed feelings about going to the fertility clinc but you will feel better once you go. WHen i struggled to TTC my 1st child it was strangely after my inital appointment that I fel PG with DS. So you never know!!

Funtimewinces I feel for you constanly worrying, but it is good sign you are feeling so tired. I remember feeling loads of funny twinges when pregant with DS and DD and everything was absolutely fine

iggypiggy · 27/03/2009 11:43

fingers crossed for wasabi and pinky

Had comedy conversation with a friend of mine yesterday - it was first time I'd seen her since she had her baby and she spent much of the time explaining to me the ins and outs of getting PG - and telling me there were such things as ovulation predictor kits

I have not told anyone about ttc - nevermind about the BFP - so I was meekly nodding and saying 'ooh I didn't know that' she will laugh when I tell her!

funtimewincies · 27/03/2009 11:22

Meant to say that I did the 'using an ovulation strip as a pregnancy test' experiment at 14 dpo and it worked, really clearly.

Might do another one later for the sheer fun of it !

funtimewincies · 27/03/2009 11:19

Popping in to check when the next batch of BFPs are due . Good luck wasabi and pinky and keeping fingers crossed for you.

I'm being thoroughly neurotic at the moment and the knicker-checking is reaching epidemic proportions . Mind you, I'm weeing for my country, so plenty of opportunities. Every tweak and twinge causes panic, especially today as I don't feel as foul as I have done this week. The ludicrous thing is that I shouldn't be feeling too bad as I'm only in my 5th week. If I can get to 7 weeks, I'll begin to think that it's possible as all my 'normal' mcs (i.e. ones with bleeding) have been in week 6.

I'm absolutely knackered, but I'm home today and DS is at his Grandma's so I might indulge in a little nap later !

wasabipeanut · 27/03/2009 10:54

Yellow - its prob because it sort of confirms that you are having problems ttc IYSWIM. By making the appt you are acknowledging that you think its taking too long?

whatsfortea · 27/03/2009 10:52

wasabi am 39......

a friend of mine has just lent me her 'Taking charge...' book - she is same age as me and is on her 3rd dc. Obviously worked for her, so am hoping that the book will give me some of her fertile vibes (just by having it by the bed, not reading it or anything daft like that).

yellowflowers · 27/03/2009 10:36

Funnily enough I got the Taking charge of your fertility book from Amazon today. Read some chapters this morning and I am doing it all right I think! I also temp with bbt. Yay. Also got letter through from GP so I can go online today and book fertility clinic appt. This is good news right, so why do I feel rubbish about it and reluctant to follow through?
