Thought I'd take the plunge and begin new thread to follow on from this one thread

All welcome.

thank you all so much for your support. Is making me feel much better.

Spend most of last night in tears (am not a tearful person AT ALL). Finding work v. hard to concentrate on.

pinkyblue Sorry that you didn't get good news - but on the up side at least you are being referred somewhere - so you can get answers I guess? xx

Jools can imagine the EDD will be v. hard for you. This whole ttc / pg thing is such an emotional time anyway - thanks for your thoughts. xx

queenie thanks - you are right - I should at least hold onto that.

Joolsiam · 01/04/2009 10:34

Was thinking of you last night Iggy Wish I could make the days go faster for you

I also believe in instinct - something just didn't feel right for me last time and I couldn't articulate / didn't take it seriously as a green first-timer - wish I had - then maybe I'd have had an ERPC at the time I think it all happened, rather than spending another 4 weeks thinking I was PG

Sorry - hit for 6 a bit today - very happy news but brought it all back - one of the people on my old a/n thread had her waters break a few weeks early and will have her LO isoon My old EDD is approaching far too fast ....

Pinkyblue123 · 01/04/2009 10:33

I Iggy thinking of you, and still keeping everything crossed.

Sorry you are feeling so poorly Wasabi
Hope you are not going too mad on the 2ww Jools

Glad DH has said sorry Yellow

Well I have been to see GP for results of day 21 test today. Not great news my Progesterone levels are 25 which only means possible Ovulation apparently (should be over 30) So he is referring me to a fertility clinic. I am gutted that things are not more positive, has anyone else had a similar experience??

queenie1 · 01/04/2009 10:27

iggy - so sorry you're having to go through all this. I'm a big believer in instinct in these sorts of matters BUT don't lose sight of the fact that you DID see a heartbeat. I guess it's going to be a LONG six days...we're all here for you.

jools - glad, too, that you're back into the madness of the 2WW!!!

iggypiggy · 01/04/2009 10:22

They did offer us either date - and not sure why we went for the day after (strange insanity and maybe wanting to put off bad news) but was obvious that was wrong decision - so changed yesterday.

Sorry for taking over the ttc thread with this - but is where I feel most able to 'talk' about it. xx

wasabipeanut · 01/04/2009 10:12

iggy whinge away my love. If you sort of know in your heart that things aren't right then that isn't good. I'm so sorry you're feeling like this. Its very difficult to know what to write because on one hand I want you to stay positive but on the other hand I believe that your instinct should be respected.

Moving the scan date was a good idea - only 6 days to go really.

iggypiggy · 01/04/2009 09:52

Morning all.

yellow Hope your Dh was suitably sorry when you saw him xx

Thanks kitty v. much appreciated.

wasabi I feel v. negative (sorry to whinge about it) just don't feel pregnant anymore... I sort of know but I hope am wrong also thank's re: the needing the loo thing is nice to read. Sorry you feeling so rubbish - hope you get some good drugs from the Gp to make you feel better.

I have moved the scan date to Tues 7th April as I thought even one day less waiting would be better...

wasabipeanut · 01/04/2009 08:49

Yellow - they can be such inconsiderate buggers at times can't they? Hope you managed to get some decent sleep in the end.

Iggy - hope you are feeling positive today hhoney. Take heart in the link that Jools posted. Also, just to let you know, the needing a wee all the time thing wasn't consistent with me when I was pg with ds. I'd have days where I did and days where I didn't and everything was fine with him. It got a lot better from about 10 or so weeks if I remember correctly.

Jools - yes I am glad to see you back in the saddle too . We will all help you stay sane in the 2WW!

Well I am feeling monstrous today. I think my ds has passed on a lovely throat infection or tonsilitus or something because since yesterday morning I have had a really sore throat and felt dire. Really struggled with ds yesterday - had to put him to bed at 6 as I felt so ill Now he is at nursery and luckily they can keep him for a full day. Sods law that I get ill when it is financial year end so dh is insanely busy, my parents are on holiday and all my friends are at work. Have been taking paracetomol and brufen but its stopped being effective which isn't good Just waiting till nine to book a GP appt which will prob involve an interrogation from the receptionist.

yellowflowers · 01/04/2009 00:41

Feel better now as he has texted big apologies from bus stop saying lost track of time but very sorry because he knows it's not fair to make me worry. Sorry to bore you all. X

yellowflowers · 01/04/2009 00:20

Hello. I imagine you are all in bed like normal people. Dh was meeting work people tonight but he said he wouldn't having a late one. At midnight I tested to ask if he was nearly home as I was worried. He has just replied to say he's just leaving. I am really annoyed, not that he's out late per se but because a) he should have let me know earlier so I wasn't worried and b) because I am tired but no point going to bed because I'll wake up when he gets in and find it harder to go to sleep again.

Sorry, not about conception at all. Just needed a rant. And my boobs are sore.

Thinking of you iggy

I've just eaten a HUGE AMOUNT of chocolate. Guess that means spotting/af will start soon.

Iggy fingers crossed the ladies positive vibes rule out the docs forecast! hugs

iggypiggy · 31/03/2009 16:47

wasabi thanks - I'm not sure how to cope with the wait - feel awful (miserable) today - and another symptom disappeared today - have just realised that am no longer running to loo every hour or two.. am back to normal whereas yesterday I did have those symptoms so am convinced all isn't well.

thanks broodzilla much appreciated.

Apols for rambling on here - but hormones and emotions all over place today...

Joolsiam · 31/03/2009 16:03

Thanks Broodzilla

It was all quite unexpected - I'd resolved to leave DP to sort his head out till after Easter - well can I help it if he decides to seduce me the night before OV

Part of me is quite philosophical - I didn't really want a mid Dec baby if I had a choice, and I would like to lose more weight (12 lb loss at the mo and in size 14 work skirts - yay !), so if it happens, I'll be jumping for joy and if it doesn't, there is always next month

I just want to know NOW

Broodzilla · 31/03/2009 15:08

Jools all sounds very promising and exciting - meant to say earlier, I'm so glad to hear that you're back in the saddle. ;)

Joolsiam · 31/03/2009 15:06

Thanks for that Broodzilla

I was determind not to get obsessed (at least not until week 2 of the 2WW, but seeing creamy CM yesterday (2DPO, CD16) was a surprise ! I also slept really badly last night, but not my usual tossing and turning - more like just being wide awake from around 2am. I last had this when I was PG before. Today, (3DPO), I think I have a mild dose of thrush (another pregnancy symptom from last time), more creamy CM and, although I could be imagining it, just a general feeling of oddness in the abdominal area

How on earth am I going to stay sane for another 11 days !!!!

Broodzilla · 31/03/2009 14:07

iggy sorry to hear what you're going through! I echo Jools though, a hearbeat is a good sign, and from that link, it certainly seems that one "low rate" is not in itself anything to worry about.

8th of April must seem like an eternity away, but just think of all the growing (and beating) your little bean will get up to in the meantime!

I'll be keeping fingers and toes crossed for you!

(PS Jools Just had a nosy on fertilityfriend. I had EWCM on CD10 which was also the OV day. CD11 was sticky (possibly due to PreSeed) and CD12 onwards creamy. Had EWCM again on CD15 which was the same day as the implantation temp dip. Then back to creamy and a BFP.) Hope that helps? Gosh, the things we disclose in the name of TTC...

wasabipeanut · 31/03/2009 13:43

Hi Iggy - oh this is such a shite thing to have to go through. I totally agree with what everyone else has written. As Funtime has said, symptoms vary so much from woman to woman that they really aren't a reliable indicator of the health of a pregnancy.

I just hope that the next week goes quickly for you - I remember from my own nightmare at the beginning of the year that its the waiting that is the worst.

iggypiggy · 31/03/2009 11:28

jools The doctor specifically told us not to tell anyone at the moment. We aren't going to - but i think he is preparing us for worst case scenario... Thanks for the link - that's interesting... I guess there is hope - but can't feel too cheery about it after the 'merchant of doom' yesterday (as I will now be calling that doctor).

You lot are all helping v. much - so thank you xx

Joolsiam · 31/03/2009 11:13

Iggy - my mum was the same - told relatives about me when I was only 8wks even though I'd told her it could all go wrong and I wasn't announcing till 12 weeks. She was so excited and positive - making more plans than me and was equally floored when the worst happened.

Neither she nor my sis had any noticeable PG symptoms - in fact my sis was on the pill and didn't know she was PG till she was 5 months !

I've also heard that the heartbeat starts slow and speeds up.

This PDF is written in quite clinical terms but gives some good information about early scans etc. It clearly states that, in 97% of cases, seeing Cardiac Activity means all will be OK.

iggypiggy · 31/03/2009 10:51

queenie1 I don't know when I ov'd really... Fertility Friend has it down for roughly the date I thought it was (which also linked to some ov pain i thought I had a couple of days before. However - in terms of BD action - we did so much in Feb it could have been any date really and a week later would also work for BDing... but who knows... My cycle is can vary by 5 days - so could have been later? Thanks for your thoughts tho. xx

funtime is ok you didn't
I have some time off over Easter anyway luckily - basically i booked the scan in for the evening of the day i finish - so don't have work the next day whatever the outcome. The main prob with my mum has been that she has been convinced that everything will be ok - even when i have kept reminding her that there is risk of miscarriage - she won't have it - so yesterday she was a bit floored... anyway - will stop waffling!

flintski · 31/03/2009 10:31

Hello everyone, (sorry for lack of posting - been a bit glum of late about TTC)

just wanted to say iggy that just like funtime, i don't want to gie you false hope but i didn't really have any symptoms in the first trimester with dd - very little nausea and no actual sickness at all - everyone is different so just hang on in there.

funtimewincies · 31/03/2009 10:21

Phew , I though that I might have sounded a real pain there!

I have a similar problem with my mum, especially as her approach is very much the 'well in my day, we didn't have all this technology and we were better for it'. I have to bite my tongue from reminding her that this technology probably saved my life when I had the ectopic .

Might also be worth having a think about what you'll do if the news isn't good, you might need to take some time off work or something like that. I found it helpful to have a 'worst case plan' in my head when I went for the scans and that made it a little easier to deal with as I wasn't trying to make decisions and process what was happening at the same time.

queenie1 · 31/03/2009 10:20

iggy - really sorry to hear your scan wasn't better but want to echo funtime. When I had my early scan they said I was 6 weeks and not 7. The only reason I wasn't worried was because I'd done OPK sticks and was pretty sure when I Ov'd - and that tied up with me being 6 weeks. Do you know when you might have ov'd? As to the slow heartbeat, I don't know...I do know, though, that the heartbeat is slower at 6 than 7 weeks. I so hope next week brings good news for you. Try to keep as positive as you can in the meantime though. All my love to you.

xxx

iggypiggy · 31/03/2009 10:15

all v. much appreciated funtime not preachy. TBH I have no idea about any of this stuff as is first time have ever been PG - and is such a rollercoaster - so is just v. nice to be able to 'talk' to people that have expereince. There isn't really anyone in RL that I can chat to about this - as have only told family and the only one who has ever been PG is my mum and that was in the 70's so her memory is prob not that good! Plus they didn't have early scans back then - so she has no idea about this kid of stuff...

Just struggling to concentrate at work for now xx
