Dawni-I am the world's worse sleeper and never sleep the recommended 3 hours before taking a temp. I wee alot in the night and jump out to see to the girls as DH never hears them. Like last night, was sorting Emma out with medecine and cough mixture then couldn't sleep. Fell asleep about 6am and woke before the alarm at 7am and took temp. It followed the right pattern. When I first starting temping I used to mark sleep deprived and alter the time taken as I used to wake up at 4am for a wee and take the temp then but overall my charts followed the same sort of line whatever/however I took my temp so didn't need to alter anything. My friend who has just had a baby took hers secretly before she went to bed. When I questioned her she confirmed that the temps always showed an OV pattern so I think you will be fine to try temping.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!! Oh HC I'm sooooooo happy for you! I had tears in my eyes reading the 5 pages of the thread I have missed! (whoops!)I was REALLY hoping this month was yours you know! Good things come to those who wait etc etc! Hoping everything goes smoothly and you will not miss blossom hill at all!

Sorry some of you have been worried about me - I'm sorry! I am starting to struggle a little if I'm being honest! Work is mad, and we had a really busy weekend as well. Some nights it's all I can manage to try and cook something reasonably healthy before bath and bed. I gave up the ante-natal thread long ago in favour of this one! I will also admit to feeling a bit guilty also about coming on here and regaling you with pg tales - I do remember how hard that is when AF has just arrived.

To top it all off, we just got the OFSTED call today for next Tuesday! How unlucky am I with only 4 more weeks at work - they only come once every 3-4 years! I am feeling quite stressed about it but trying to relax as much as possible.

Hope the thingy goes well tomorrow willmouse - I was going to make sure I got on tonight to wish you well. I love your 2 ds's names you know - really traditional and will stand the test of time. I love George but DP doesn't but doesn't know why!

dawni - sorry you are feeling down. You can have the next BFP if you want?

BB - I think I too would have 1 or 2 goes at IVF if I could afford it, as you will never know if you don't try. What have you got to lose (apart from money and there's more to life than money!)?????

MJIM - sorry to hear about Naomi being poorly and you worrying about your weight again! I lost 2 stone myself about 5 years ago and found it OK really. I made sure I kept a food diary and you soon realise what you forget you eat! Knock supper on the head as well, and healthy snacks! Anyway, this is all irrelevant while you are BF isn't it? I thought it wasn't advisable to diet til Naomi is weaned or am I wrong? CE is worrying that MJIM is going to waste away!

Big waves to all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Dawni · 20/01/2009 17:17

Ah HC I dont have a basal thermometer because i wake alot and pee maybe two to three times in the night, so dont get the restfull full sleep for accurate reading ??? What is your take on this ??

I had a call from the school to say that nobody had collected Emma-FIL or MIL hadn't turned up so rushed to get her 1/2 late poor girl and took her to MIL's as she always has tea there with Sophie and DH. Before I left MIL phoned in tears and my first thought was that something had happened to Sophie-my heart was doing double time. Anyway, FIL was uncontactable so MIL set off and when she got up the road she realised the horsebox was attached so turned round and came back as rang me. Question-how can you not know you are pulling a horsebox????

Bellie-no way are you having a 4-5 lb baby.

Willmouse-. Will be thinking of you tomorrow.

Dawni-perhaps you could use a Basal thermometer because the OPK's are not always accurate. I had a feint +ive with them for about 7 days running the other month. Start BDing every other day as soon as AF finishes. When I look at my chart this month I actually sent the troups in on CD4 because my AF was very short compared to the previous mega long one.

MJIM-didn't think about freezing the wine. Good idea. Hey, perhaps I can defrost it in October and drink it to celebrate my 40th. I still can't believe my BFP and the digital test is now blank so only got the photo as proof. I do like this stage even though I will worry and feel rough because nobody in RL knows, just mine and DH's (and MN's) little secret. What day was Naomi due on?

Must get some tea. My school mum friend battled the nausea by constantly eating so may try that theory as long as I don't pile on the pounds. She didn't but is naturally slim. Love to all.

Oh Willmouse - sounds like it was a good job that she wasn't there make a list of everything that you want to say to her so you don't forget by Thurs.

Probably a good thing not to think too much about tomorrow, but good luck. xx

MrsPuddleduck · 20/01/2009 16:22

I have had such a bad day I haven't had time to worry about this HSG thingy tomorrow

To top things off the school nurse has been in today and aparently DS1 has speech and mobility immaturities I wouldn't be so bothered if it wasn't so far from the case. I have already phoned to demand more information of how she reached this conclusion - she can think herself lucky she was out of the office! Aparently she's not due back in until Thursday - hopefully I may of calmed down by then!

Bellie · 20/01/2009 16:14

MJIM - exactly lol!! I think the consultant thought that I was scared of having a big baby as I asked whether she had any idea of how big!!

Dawni - yey on a feint OPK - but yes drive to the gym - otherwise you might not make it out of the door with weather like that!!

Thanks everyone xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

With having a strange cycle this month, i decided to start with the OPK's just so i dont miss a second !!!!!! I had the faintest of faint lines, so im pleased i started and the very second AF is fininshed we will be on the job I would have been on CD8 if AF had played fair, but im just gonna carry on as CD2 and just go for it !!

Rain and snow is wild here, it just doesnt know what to do

Thinking of driving to the gym !! Its only up the road but i dont wanna be soaked before i start !!

MrsPuddleduck · 20/01/2009 14:51

Thanks HC!

Bellie · 20/01/2009 14:48

Hello all again,

just back from the consultant - everything is fine. Here's one for you - based on size etc consultant says baby 4-5lb - midwife 8-9lbs! Who to believe - dd was 8lb 9oz so I am guessing probably the midwife!!

Oh yes - another bonus for all of you due after 6th April this year (which I think is now most of you) you are all entitled to £190 from the government as a Health in Pregnancy payment. You need to get your form signed by midwife and sent in after you are 25 weeks but before your due date to get it and it is not dependant on income at all!
They gave me a form today although I am not entitled as beanie will be here before 6th April!!

HumphreysCorner · 20/01/2009 14:30

Oh yes, the thermometer should be Basal and have 2 numbers after the decimal point. V. cheap on Ebay.

Good luck with the diet MJIM. When I accidently got down to 8st 2lb I felt dreadful and it was too low for my heavy bones.

Willmouse-before I met DH I hated sorting out car problems but now DH does it all as he is in the accident repair business he can get most parts cheaper. My only just opened Blossom Hill is looking at me in the fridge. I was thinking that if I hadn't tested I could have used some of it up but as I have tested I can't. What a waste.

Juanitad-very traumatic going for the jabs. When I took DD1 I was so upset I forgot to stay and see the Dr afterwards and the HV had to book me another appointment.

Very cold here, have just been down the garden cutting up some twigs to put on the fire. BBBRRRHHH!!!

Right, off to watch part 2 of Hunter.
