Hi to all - I have read all the posts but brain has turned to mush again!

Must say hope Josh is ok though poor thing! (It is better to get it at his age though isn't it) - tiny consolation!

MJIM - for you!

bellie - grumpy is a sign of impendinf labour my mw said!

Mad question here! (No such thing as TMI right???)I was in the bath earlier and my nipples have started to produce milk! Gasp! I could gently squeeze a little out as well! . Is it normal for this to happen so early??? (31 weeks today!)Is this good? I admit to being a little freaked out tbh!

I am at the mw tomorrow for 31 week check so will ask her aswell, and will also find out if baby is still breech - I think it is myself!

Cheers CE xx

Morning all,

MJIM - enjoy your time away, and when you come back maybe you can try again. I definately agree with the others though it sounds as though you were under feeding yourself.

HC - soundding good for you . Take care at the farm though - not sure that there will be any lambs/pregnant ewes around but take care just in case!

Welcome to Ladidadi - I hope you find the thread as helpful as we have all gone through the same things and are here to talk whenever.

Nothing again here - am feeling out of sorts today and very grumpy but not even a twinge!

Hope everyone is having a good day, it is pouring down here. Be back later - off to cook the roast.

HumphreysCorner · 25/01/2009 10:36

Good morning ladies....

MJIM your very welcome hun, you do have a good diet from what i can see, you are right though and take a step back and give yourself time, like you say Naomi is still only 4 month old, my cousin still has her pregnancy tummy and Callum is only 2 weeks older than Naomi, and she doesnt breast feed either and just the other day was feeling down about it!! The only thing you eat thats terribly fattening is bolognese, pie's(very bad), chilli & pizza's, the rest is pretty great hun until your ready to calorie control just be happy and enjoy life xx

Right.... Slight temp rise today, will do OPK later, saliva teast is drying as I type and DH is making b'fast Going to Auntie's for lunch later, so I can chill...

Much love

Myjob - We spoke to our friends on the day it happened and they asked us to tell some people...which we did. They are surrounded by family at the moment, and know we are here when they need us. I texted them to say anytime...just shout! We'll call them in the next day or so. I made a sympathy card last night and wept trying to find suitable words to put in it! I found an amazing poem online...didn't use it, but cried alot! It was 'Death of a Child' by Sandy Eakle.

Have fun on your days away!!!

MJIM your meals sound extremely healthy and varied so I woudl just carry on what you are doing. However, as you have said you want to take a step back, I think a visit to your in-laws is the perfect opportunity - enjoy yourself whilst you are there and tackle the problems when you get back

BTW, I am sure you know that no-one is looking at you and being critical - you have just had a baby and only celebrities get their figures back within days

Myjob - sounds like you're eating great food! Don't understand why you're not losing...but I do agree you need to give the dieting and exercise a few weeks. Whenever I start a diet it takes a few weeks to see the weight dropping off!

Bellie - fingers crossed! getting exciting now!

Ceebee - poor Josh! hope he gets better soon.

Big waves all round!

Myjob - more practical advice!! I totally agree with the others, you're putting your body into starvation mode and eating too little. Also what's a normal dinner? I would also think about switching your main meal from dinner to lunch time. You need the sustenance during the day, rather than at night. I always like to fill up on loads of veggies too and minimise potatoes, pasta and rice in the evenings...fine for lunch when you need the slow release energy, but you don't need them at night. I've also switched from things like mashed potato to mashed swede...just as yummy and filling, but not as many calories.

Oooh my dinner timer is beeping...more later!!

Hi everyone, ive enjoyed my day and even managed a bit of BDing while DS on the computer with music on loud this afternoon....

Hi to LaDiDaDi....hope u manage a BFP while here, there is a few of us trying very hard for that goal

MJIM Hi hun, you are eating far too little especially for breastfeeding, you will loose 500 cals breastfeedong alone....you have to eat little and often, mix the right amount of carbs and protien and it will give you the enery you need, my DH & DS are both body builders and eat every 3 hrs so their bodies wont eat at the body fat which makes you store weight....if your interested I can get DH to type up a diet sheet for you ?? You only have to say the word and he will. You'd be better off with an omlette for breakfast or porridge, then jacket potatoe with dry tuna for lunch, these foods keep you full of energy. {{sending you hugs}} Just say the word hun xxxxx

Off for a brew

Much love

Ah, I was on a very low dose so that explains it. He will be fine when he lowers his dose.

Thanks HC. He's on citalopram atm but he plans to cut down dose next month and then hopefully stop if he stays well.

HumphreysCorner · 24/01/2009 17:30

You are most welcome LaDiDaDi and hope you get a BFP very soon. I took some AD's once that stopped me 'O'ing st sll. Very upsetting. Can he perhaps swap to a different AD, I was fine on Citalopram this time. Good luck!

Hello everyone. I'd like to join you if that's ok.

We started to ttc dc2 this month though I'm not sure how well we will get on as dp takes ADs that make it hard for him to reach orgasm (sorry for tmi on first post in this thread ). Lots of BD so far this month though so just hoping that one little swimmer will find it's way through .

Ceebee74 · 24/01/2009 16:42

Don't be silly - it is obviously important to you so it is not selfish and pathetic - and I hope I didn't come across as thinking that because I don't.

You are 300 calories out plus I would say a few more because of the breastfeeding - maybe you just need to eat something else (maybe up the cereal to a full bowl?) to get you to the recommended amount?

I think the best advice is to be patient and the weight will eventually drop off

MJIM Ok you want practical support...I will do my best

Firstly, how long have you been doing this? A couple of days?? When dieting, it is recommended that you weigh yourself once a week only as it can take a week for any weight loss to show up iyswim - and it stops you getting disheartened as you have done.

Secondly, I don't think what you are eating is enough - particularly not for a breastfeeding woman. I know HC mentioned it before but if you don't eat enough, your body goes into 'starvation' mode and clings onto it's fat.

here is a website which might help. It is not the one I originally mentioned as that seems to have permanently crashed - but you can have a 24-hour trial on this one which would be enough time for you to see what the recommended daily calorie intake is for someone your height/build etc.

Also, finally, you know that it is ok to be a bit wobbly round the edges and I am 100% sure your DH thinks exactly the same.

I hope this helps - it is hard for me to be objective as I would love to be in your position of only having half a stone to lose, rather than the 3 stone that I have!

Ooh that was a bit of an epic - once I got started, I couldn't stop Have a lovely time with your DH and enjoy the break
