Crikey, well Sophie seems OK on it. Helped her grow a tad.

HC the guidelines changed a few years ago to 26 weeks - it was certainly 26 weeks when Josh was weaned so it must have been before that. Josh was never really interested in food (not much change there then!) so I managed to wait - in fact, it was more like 8 months before he would eat anything

HumphreysCorner · 31/01/2009 13:46

I thought weaning was done at 16 weeks. Did Emma at 14 and Sophie at 15 weeks as there is no way they would have lasted any longer.

Afternoon all - DH has taken the boys to MIL for a few hours so I have the house to myself - tis bliss!

CE ooh not long now at all - I bet you are really excited! My one bit of advice is to enjoy the time between finishing work and the baby arriving - I had 5 weeks before Josh was born and it was absolutely lovely - it will be the last time you can lie in, sleep when you want, shop, go out for meals etc.

MJIM am I right in thinking that Naomi is about 9 weeks older than Sam? So that would make her about 20 weeks now...are you hoping to get to 26 weeks before weaning? It didn't occur to me before but there might be something in what the others have said about weaning early. Gosh, how time flies - I can't believe we are already talking about weaning!!

Dawni lol at your arse on fire! Glad it is ok now though

CE Well spotted about Bellie - maybe this is it, I really really hope so!

Have been to an aerobics class this morning - am almost back to full fitness again and I love love love it! Now if I can just shift this extra 3 stone, I will be a happy bunny!

Sam and Josh are both pretty much ok now - just waiting for the scabs to disappear and fingers crossed, they don't leave a scar on either of my beautiful boys faces Neither of them really suffered at all thankfully and at least it is over and done with now!

Hope you are all having a good weekend

ChocolateEclair · 31/01/2009 12:59

Hi ladies

willmouse - cannot believe that chicken pox can be catching via the internet!!! Whatever next! Hope ds is better soon xx

dawni - I also think you have ov'd already! Relax and enjoy the 2ww - yeah right!

HC - excellent - no more temping now! Promise??? 3+ weeks is fab!

Dawn - FABULOUS piccie! Very clear! Would you have been able to tell it was a girl if you hadn't already known? Did you get all emotional like me? Only 19 weeks left to go!

MJIM - don't know what to say really that the others haven't said. Of course you are going to be worried, we all would be. Has the hv/dr or anyone actually said they think there is a problem or that you need to do anything different? How did your ds gain weight when he was tiny? Was it steady or in fits and starts?

DD - hope your dd is feeling better xx

ceebee - how is little Sam with his pox? Hope he is ok (and still a cutie!)

Juanitad - thanks for your comments about cs and work! I am really looking forward to finishing but I think it will be wuite wierd! I have always worked FT since leaving uni so it will be a shock to the system! I bet you are secretly happy your replacement isn't up to much! I know I would be!

The boss bought us all cream cakes yesterday for passing the OFSTED bless him! yummy! (and obviously not related - I have hit 11 stone!!! ) I still think/feel I look ok though but bump is getting 'silly' big now! lol! Down to my last pair of work trousers! Also getting loads of kicks right in the ribs which take my breath away - oh what fun!

PS. Have you noticed no news from Bellie! Hope this is it!!!

HumphreysCorner · 31/01/2009 11:31

Ah, that is good Dawni. I think you may have OV'd last Tuesday. Difficult when it is your first chart but we will get the hang of it.

Good morning all

HC Pleased your happy and can stop temping now

My bottom is fine, i certainly wont make that mistake again, when it says a few drops it means a few drops.... i was running round the house whining in pain for ten mins till i jumped in the shower and scrubbed !!

Hope everyone has a nice day

Much love

HumphreysCorner · 31/01/2009 09:17

Morning all

Have taken my last temp this morning and at 3am did my fancy digi test which came up 3+ weeks on the conception indicator. Hope this is a good sign.

MJIM-are you weaning Naomi soon? Think I weaned Sophie at 15 weeks so not much before the 16 week guideline.

Hope all OK in the Willmouse house.

Dawni-how are you and your bottom today?

Hope everyone has a great weekend. We are hopefully going to the Pizza Hut later then have to visit the PIL as they go away on Tuesday for 1 week so must see the girls before they go.

Love to all!

instincts - doh!

detoxdiva · 31/01/2009 07:26

Morning all - early start here as I let dd sleep on the sofa yesterday afternoon. Knew it would come back and bite me in the bum, but she was just soooo tired that I couldn't not let her!

Dawni - ouch. Hope you're feeling better now!

MJIM - I can understand your worry. Anything to do with our little ones causes concern doesn't it? Forgive me for forgetting - how many weeks is she now? Dd was very similar, and was bf but didn't put a lot of weight on from one week to the next - she was constantly slipping down the growth chart . She was a little dot up until she was about 1yo (which was odd considering her hefty 8.5lbs at birth )

I took my hv advice and started adding rice and purees at just before 5 months - controversial I know but actually she woolfed it down and this in combination with bf'ing her kept her weight static rather than losing any more. I'm not suggesting you add anything to her diet yet - that's a completely personal choice, and actually with no.2 I will hopefully try and keep s/he bf until 6mo. However, dd is a happy and extremely healthy 3yo now who shows no evidence of giving us all a load of worry 2.5 years ago! Trust your instints - you're the expert on Naomi and go with what makes you feel comfortable. I am sure she is just fine - looking at your pics, you're a wee little thing so she's obv just going to follow your genes!

Dawni · 30/01/2009 22:00

MJIM I would worry too, because im the worrier in this house, but has a HV or DR expressed concerns ? Is she hungry and need more ? My godson Callum as you know is only 2 weeks older than Naomi and he is on 8 oz of formula plus yoghurts and baby porridge depending on time of day...I dont know if this helps or makes things worse, i just dont know what else to suggest hun {{sending hugs}}

Good evening ladies

My arse is on fire !!!! Put some citrus oils in a hot bath, obviously too much and now i feel like ive fell in a bed of nettles had to scrub in the shower and cover myself in talc

HC hope your feeling relaxed and cramps have stopped ?

Willmouse the food hygiene is a doddle hun

MJIM i cant really comment on your little one cause im so out of touch, but i remember michael always being dainty but now he is 5'8", he caught up eventually. As long as she seems well and no-one has commented a concern, she will just be a dainty little girl.

Waves to everyone else

Much love

Honestly MJIM, please don't fret about Naomi's weight. I spent forever worrying about Sophie being off the bottom of the scale and now, although still tiny, she is absolutely fine and in proportion.

That OV calculator is naff on MN so ignore Dawni. Everytime I put in LMP and calculate it changed the LMP I put in. As for the due date calculator, it has me due in September. I still think you have OV'd already but no harm in sending more troups in.

Hope things are better for you Willmouse.

Big wave to all!

MJIM but I don't really know what to say that we haven't said already! You know you are providing the best nutrition for her! Are the HV's worried? Is she still following her line? If she is, she is obviously just destined to be a wee little girl and nothing to be worried about.

Dawni - it sounds as if you did enough Bding to hit your fertile period whether 25 or 35 days. Try and keep optimistic

I feel exhausted after a really stressful week and am on a food hygiene course tomorrow - oh well, I suppose I may learn something new.

I am toying with the idea of not drinking quite so much wine this evening - I wonder whether or not I will manage it!

detoxdiva · 30/01/2009 15:48

Dawn - great picture! It makes it all seem so real when you see them wriggling about like that doesn't it.

Hope all the poorly, spotty babes get better soon. Dd is currently sound asleep on the sofa - temp is a bit high and she's been a right misery ever since I picked her up from pre-school, so I'm sure she's coming down with something too I saw the nurse this morning who assures me I can take small amounts of paracetamol to help with my throat and ear pain - that and steam my head is all she can recommend as it's viral not bacterial. Went to mums for lunch today and fell asleep on her sofa for an hour which definately helped too

Dawni · 30/01/2009 13:40

Tried ov predictor, i might have hit right dates but my cycle varies from 25-33 days, so without doing the OPK's im still not sure

D xx

Dawni · 30/01/2009 13:28

Willmouse I dont know when i was most fertile, just hope i hit it right !!

Dawni · 30/01/2009 13:27

Dawn, excellent scan photo xx

D xx

MrsPuddleduck · 30/01/2009 13:26

Ceebee - thanks for the advice - I hoped you may come along - I wonder if we will infect anyone else

DawnAs - what a great scan photo

HC - glad you are feeling better today, I would definitely rest as much as poss if I were you.

Dawni - I just looked on the ovulation predictor on here and it shows you your most fertile 4 days - I managed to BD on two of mine so feel a little better now.

To top my day off DS2 trod in dog poo outside mindees school - I will spare you the details of what I have just been doing......
