Unless Bellie has internet phone thing/internet access in hospital. We had the world's crappest (and expensive) system but was more reliable than DH who got the baby's name wrong!!!

Chocolate eclair- know what you mean about EDD. I was 6 months pregnant when my EDD came. Its a very strange and bittersweet feeling. Suspect that's why I still cry when I put Cecily to bed!

majormoo · 05/02/2009 20:56

CE-had not thought before but this thread really has had some ups and downs. My early miscarriage was around this time last year-shows we have been going on here for a long time now. Hope you are OK today-we always mark the day for the baby we 'lost' a few years ago-I think it is important.

MJIM-yes the name is biblical-my dad was really pleased we had chosen it as he kept mentioning 'the rod of Jesse' but have to confess not sure what he meant by that! (Also just wanted to clarify it was a friend of my friend who put her foot in it. The friend I visited is lovely. Also we still live in Brighton CE and intend to stay)

Oops pressed 'post' too soon!

Majormoo at your friend - I bet she just wanted to curl up and die Of course Jesse is a boys name - Jesse James and all that! I love it - am quite although I would never have got it past DH who only likes traditional names!!

Ceebee74 · 05/02/2009 20:28

Agree with HC - I don't think we will find out about Bellie until the weekend. She will be in hospital until Saturday at the earliest I would have thought.

Dawni sorry you are feeling - I didn't realise you had been trying for 14 years - I can't even begin to imagine what that feels like. Please continue to post here - I think CE summed it up - we have all been through so much here and it has not been plain sailing for most of us by any means!

CE what a lovely post You will always remember your little beanie - don't feel bad for thinking about them today.

Am sat here watching cricket from Jamaica - me and DH always wanted to go to the Carribbean to watch cricket one day but decided to have children instead

HumphreysCorner · 05/02/2009 20:19

Hey Dawni, no need to apologise. You are right about friends, some of mine said well, you've already got 2 so be thankful. That is not the point when you are TTC.

Don't think we'll find out about Bellie for a week unless Mr Bellie can log on.

CE Thankyou so much, im so sorry to hear you mc'd, i didnt know, that is alot to deal with and i should thank my stars ive not had to go though that. I often feel very selfish after my outbursts, but i just cant control them and dont want to make everyone sad by it, but when ive calmed down i then realise just how much help this thread actually is and it helps me a great deal. I think because over the 14 years we've tried ive only really had DH to talk to as even though i have friends, they dont really understand and im sure they get sick of listening to me (iykwim) going on and on about getting pregnant. Wishing you lote of happiness {kisses}

D xx

Am going to try to respond to everyone!

Willmouse ? sorry the spotting has started but don?t give up just yet! You sound like you must be a good CM if you are in demand like this also! Hope ds1 has been ok and gone back to school. Lol about ds2 not being able to go to the party!

Ceebee ? you piccies are lovely! I agree that they do look very alike despite colouring and size! I?m pleased that Josh is behaving himself and being a good brother!

MJIM ? glad your dh got home in the end safely. I had a little ?aww? at the image of ds dancing round the room entertaining dd! (and at him now wanting a brother!)

HC ? sorry and yey! About the morning sickness. Feel free to moan away ? it doesn?t mean you aren?t happy to be pg! (I can only apologise for how much I moaned back in August?urgh the memories!). Crumpets sound yummy ? I ate only mullerice for one whole week iirc! PS. You sure twin boys wouldn?t tempt you? Can?t believe you are 6 weeks already!

Dawni ? so sorry you have been feeling down, but please please don?t disappear. If I think back over the last year on this thread I do remember lots of happy times when the BFPs came, the scans have gone well and the babies have been born, but I also remember that some of us (5 I think) have had mc, some have had worrying blood/test results and worries of CVS/amnio, plus all the months of BFNs and late AFs giving hope. We have all been here to support each other through good and bad and we will support you as well. Today would have been our EDD if I hadn?t mc?d our first baby?so feeling a little sentimental myself, not sad, just had it on my mind today. Stay positive honey!

Detox ? so happy for you that the second scan was all good! Yey! And what a fab due date! Hope your dd is better very soon

Puree ? sorry about the BFN. Here is some baby dust for next month * * * * * * * * *

Dawn ? yuck about pulling your muscle but that jellybean is well! You must be so happy that you can feel her all the time now!

Majormoo ? pmsl at the idiot friend?s comments! Bet she was WELL embarrassed! I happen to really like the name Jesse (and have never heard it spelt like that for a girl!). Def get a move on back to Brighton! Lol! (Sounds like my small town here ? I?m sure we will have every old dear?s opinion on what we should name our baby! I have deliberately not told anyone (except MN!) our shortlist for that very reason!)

Mandy ? was it your Doppler artery scan today??? Hope it has gone well and everything is in place for your lo?s birthday in 6 weeks!!!!!

Waves to HM2J/Juanitad/BB/Soosy/BSL/Ladidadi/luckysalem

Hope Bellie is ok and just enjoying her new baby! How exciting!

I only have 11 days left at work! ?good job as I had to stand through my lunch hour today as I had a foot/head sticking into my ribcage! Lol! Bought some moses basket sheets and terry nappies (for use as sick/mop cloths!) off ebay and they have come today so feeling almost ready!

CE xx

Evening ladies

No snow here, just drizzle !!

Had a tiny bleed today but knew it would happen, i am also going to try and keep level headed from now on and not symptom spot too soon, i really thought it was going to happen though !! Never mind, i can at least use the clearblue fertility monitor i got on ebay, and the preg tests can go back in the cupboard Id even splashed out on the digital ones !!!

Good luck to Bellie even though I know im a bit late in the day, hope it all went smoothly xx

HC Fantastic hun, 6 weeks already xx

Willmouse Fandabidosi you found christening pics, i also would have been mortified if i thought id thrown michaels out by accident xx

Hope everyone is good and well

D xx

majormoo · 05/02/2009 17:05

No news from Belle yet then?

HC hope you aren't feeling too rough. It is so hard not to stress out about every twinge in the early weeks. Hope the time passes quickly.

Ceebee-still have plenty of sibling rivalry in this house between DD and DS1-think it occurs no matter what the sex. It is swings and roundabouts-think I find boys harder work just because of the CONSTANT energy. Mind you, I watched that Channel 4 programme the other night where they left a group of girls and a group of boys aged 8-11 to live alone together for two weeks. Some of the girls were vile-horrible bullying behaviour on show. The boys spent most of the time unable to cook and crying for their mums!

Detox glad your scan went well.

Hello everyone else

Visited a friend who lives near the birthing centre where I had Jesse today and already felt nostalgic about the birth and he is only 6 weeks. Met one of her friends who, not realising we were talking about my son, said to me 'What sort of a name for a boy is Jesse? It's a girl's name'. She was very embarrassed to discover that was my son's name. This was at my friend's local village toddler group. Was very glad to scuttle back to Brighton where boys can have long hair, girls' names and do ballet if they like!!

MrsPuddleduck · 05/02/2009 16:16

What an hour!! It has taken DS2 20 minutes to accept the fact that he is NOT going to Jack's birthday party

HumphreysCorner · 05/02/2009 14:55

Snow just about gone now so going to take DD1 to dancing as they are driving me mad! Untidy is the understatement of the year and I can't face housework at the moment.

Bellie should have her baby now shouldn't she?

HI MJIM - it's always quiet here when I need an ear to bend! I'm about to go off on the school run and then DS1 is off to his party. Thought I would try and be organised and scrape the snow off the car before I go up to school!

Hi all - just popping in quickly to say I have to go in at 12noon - so a long time with no food!
I could just eat a plateful of crumpets now yummmm

Hope everyone is well, and wishing you on the 2ww all the best, and HC hope that the heartbeat (or heartbeats ) stay strong for you

Wave to everyone and see you next week!!

DawnAS · 05/02/2009 10:26

Morning ladies,

If you're still at home Bellie, good luck for today!! I will checking back on later to find out if we've had any news!!

Dawni, glad you're feeling more positive hun.. Keep your chin up!!

Willmouse, Birthday parties hey?! Although at least your DS is popular!! It might be worse if he wasn't invited to any at all!! I didn't get invited to many parties when I was little, get the violins out please!!

HC, I can think of much worse things to eat than crumpets - yum yum!! I'm starving now!!

DD, brilliant news on the scan hun!! You must be thrilled. Great EDD too!!

MJIM, hope your DH got home safely. My Dad works away in Birmingham and London during the week and travels back on a Friday lunchtime - don't rate his chances though getting from Birmingham to Devon tomorrow though after last nights snowfall!!

Big waves to everyone else that I might have missed!!

Still got a stinking cold and all the coughing has caused me to pull a muscle in my chest - nice - NOT!! But little Jellybean doesn't seem to mind as she's been jumping around all over the place in the last 24 hours.

Anyway, hope all is well with everyone.

xxx

MrsPuddleduck · 05/02/2009 10:24

HC - I could happily live on digestives and crumpets!

HumphreysCorner · 05/02/2009 10:03

Good luck with the birth of your boy baby Bellie. Dawni-you have had a nice temp dip so don't forget to mark any spotting as it could be implantation spotting.

Willmouse-I can't face anything but digestives and crumpets. The weight is dropping off me but I know it won't do any harm. Hope your AF stays away.

detox-fab news on your scan and loving the 9.9.09 date. Bet your baby doesn't arrive on it though.

It started snowing at 8-30am and got to school to find the head had decided to close it. I am fortunate to be at home but some mums who had to go to work were marching their children back into school in the hope they could stay there.

Am 6 weeks today so hopefully the heart will be beating. If not then my symptoms will start to go so back to obsessing over symptoms.

Big snowy wave to all.
