It is a bit like all those rl situations that all of u have experienced whilst ttc and it can add to the feeling of failure/despondency etc etc.

Exactly. I was convinced I'd be the only one left TCCing here.

Dawni, please don't feel like shit, we're not very frail here and there is a wealth of experience and empathy here too.

Me too, a little. That's not why I'm not around much though, it's 'cos I've just been so darn busy since Xmas.

I know it can be v hard & painful relating to all the PG/baby talk & updates when your own TCC-ing is coming up to a year.
We're simply victims of our own success here, the thread being so damn lucky!

Happy to hear everyone's doing (mostly) well but for BB and Dawni.

22 days until my CS and DH is nesting like mad - even hoovered yesterday .
Love to everyone.

Afternoon ladies

Well, my thoughts on the matter were that when we have all got a BFP we could move over to the chat thread. We need to help and support Dawni, Bluestar, belgianbun, puree, LaDiDaDi and soosy. However, I do feel guilty for talking about my pregnancy even though it did take 10 cycles. So I see where you are coming from ChocEclair-we have gone through so much and have become friends so like to talk about everything. Was starting to panic that you would all have left me before I got a BFP.

MJIM-what do you think?

8+3 here and still sick with diarrhea.

Big wave to all.

I understand what you mean CE but where does that leave me and the few other TTC'ers, does that mean we wont have a thread ??? Im the only one that posts the most out of the other TTC'ers (NO OFFENCE) so i'd have no-one to post to as such ?

juanitad · 22/02/2009 13:27

CE - That sounds like a good idea to me. I've been keeping a low-ish profile on here for a while, although I read the posts every day. I guess I kind of feel that as I'm not TTC, maybe I shouldn't be on this thread too much, but as you said I don't want to leave the thread!! Putting it somewhere more general would be a good solution. What does everyone else think?

ChocolateEclair · 22/02/2009 12:05

Right....somebody has to say it - so I'll stick my neck out for once in my life!

It is very clear to me that we have all become 'friends' on this thread. I know I don't want to leave and I think most of you guys feel the same! (hope so!) However, I totally get what Dawni is saying - it's not really about ttc very much any more.

I know it has been really helpful for me and the other first timers to chat about pregnancy and stuff to buy, and it's great being able to get advice. I don't want to upset anyone though who is still waiting for that longed for BFP.

My thought is how about moving the thread somewhere other than 'conception'? - it could still be called bonkers anonymous - but be more general babies/families chat (this could still include ttc for those who want it).

REALLY REALLY hope this doesn't offend/upset anyone - that's the last thing I want to do!

What do you all think - it's MJIM's thread so ultimately I think it should be up to her!

Hey ladies - just checking in so I don't lose the thread.

I think Dawni is right - this thread definitely needs more TTCers.

Happy days here at the moment - Sam is an absolute angel - he goes to bed at 7.15 without a murmur and we literally don't hear a peep out of him (even though he is at the bottom of our bed) until Josh we wake him up in the morning - I feel so lucky! Josh's behaviour is just great at the moment aswell - he is caring towards Sam (most of the time) and has actually started playing by himself a lot more which is really helpful - he still has his moments of naughtiness of course. No doubt things will all start to go pear-shaped again very soon When I think back to a few weeks ago when Josh was misbehaving so much and was clearly struggling with the huge change, and me and DH were wondering what the hell we had done, I can't believe how things have improved

Sorry that was a bit gushing wasn't it

Hope you are all well and having a good weekend

DawnAS · 20/02/2009 13:50

Ok, so totally got my info wrong (should read these things before posting...) apparently the blood from the umbilical cord is used to help Leukemia patients. Still a good cause - HOWEVER - there are only 4 NHS hospitals that you can currently donate in, there's lots of info on line but I believe they're all around the London area, Watford is one and Luton & Dunstable is another. There are two more.... That's me out - I think it's a little extreme to try and get from Torquay to one of those so that I can donate...

DawnAS · 20/02/2009 13:40

CE, my DH is really hoping that I get the nesting instinct!! I do feel like I've become rather lazy recently, although I have to confess that he is so anal about cleaning that what I do is never good enough anyway so I gave up - that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!!

Just a bit of info for you ladies who are due to be having babies soon, I heard from my friend who had her baby in August (although she found out too late to do this) that apparently, some hospitals will allow you to donate the umbilical cord afterwards for research into prevention of childhood illnesses and deformities of the child within the womb. It only gets thrown away anyway normally, so I'm definitely going to mention it to my MW and see if she can make a note on my records that I've requested this. I can't imagine I'll be thinking about anything much at the time!! But if it can help someone else in the future to have a healthy baby who otherwise may not have done, I'm all for that.

Anyway, just thought I'd mention it...

I hope that all are Ok today. I'm starving and really should get some food - mmmm cheese sarnie and some fruit I think!!

I've got that urge to start cleaning today So far I have cleaned the bathroom and kitchen, dusted the lounge, put washing in and dishwasher on and am thinking about hoovering now!

ChocolateEclair · 20/02/2009 11:03

Bluestar - can't believe there is a 2 year waiting list It must just seem like forever. Would you have any way of raising the money to go private? (I know it's a massive amount of money). Wishing you and DH the strength to get through this together xx

DawnAS · 20/02/2009 09:37

Hey all,

Bluestar, that is such bad news for you hun . I'm so sorry. Maybe worth asking about donation of the eggs like Detox mentioned if it was something you felt you could do.. You know where I am hun... I hope that your DH is Ok aswell. It must be really awful for him aswell.
