Hello can i join you guys?

i have been reading through all you posts and this seems like such a nice place to be.

I am a TTCer am on CD2 on cycle50, thats 5 yrs, have DD who is 7 and have had 3mc over the last 5 yrs. Have unexplained infertility and am under going investigations for the mc have a scan today and 4 oclock and AF is here so wont be pleasant.

Dawni i have been reading your posts and i realy feel for you. Im so sorry for DH, if you dont mind me asking what is wrong with him exactly? could find a post saying? sorry is you dont want to say!!
I think you are doing the right thing going to the nurse if you are worried it is better to be safe then sorry, im sure its nothing but get it checked anyway.

i wanted to say that you seem like such a strong person and i wondered how you cope with it all after 14 yrs. i am only 5 yrs and sometimes i feel like i am going to fall apart at the seems. Alot of my friends and family have ahd babies in the last 5 years and i just cant imagine spending another 5 years or more ttcing i think i would go mad. sometimes i feel so down especialy at the moment i feel very alone and hope that you dont mind me joining this thread it would be lovely to feel i had people to talk to.

Dawni · 25/02/2009 10:46

Right ladies, are you ready for TMI ????????????

Throughout my journey of TTC i also feel my cervix to check its position and CM as i dont always have any on the paper after wiping.....The last two cycles i have noticed 3 bumps on the end of my cervix, today i feel as though they are larger & harder and im now paranoid im going to die of some horrible disease !!!!! I have phoned and made an appointment with the nurse for 2.50 today, is this the right thing to do or am i going to look a prat ??
Any advice welcome

Detox Hope you are well, sorry to hear DD is covered head to toe with spots, at least she seems ok with herself..bless

Much love

D xx

Hi all

Just a quickie - DS2's only accident yesterday was while I was on Mumsnet so am on potty watch!

Dawni - sorry to hear about your DH - but at least they are getting a second opinion. You never know what a different view on the situation may bring. CM was the way I knew I was ovulating too. I bd the day I had it and then the next day this time around and it did work for me.

Hope everyone else is Ok

Hope I haven't upset CE with yesterdays' comment - am a bit worried

detoxdiva · 25/02/2009 09:53

Morning all

Dawni - sorry to hear your dh's news. How awful. I hope there is something that can be done. As for the ewcm today and yest - go for it girl (if dh is up to it!) I always found than cm was the most accurate way of keeping track of my ov'ing.

Ceebee - sorry to hear you're still having problems with Josh's sleeping, it's soul destroying isn't it? I do think there is something in the just pick 'em up and put back in bed in silence plan though, as time consuming as it is though for the first few days. Fingers crossed for some good results soon

CE - how are you doing? If you still have the nesting urge, let me know as my house is a tip!!

HC - 8+5 already...unbelievable. Hope you're feeling better

Dawn - thinking of you and your sister. Hope the little one hangs on in there ok for the time being. At least she's being monitored in the best place.

Willmouse - good luck with the potty training. 1 acciddent is good progress though - you'll be there soon!

Bluestar - so sorry to hear that you're not getting the support from your friends and family. Are they generally unsupportive or is it just that they don't know what to say or do - sensitive situations often make people react in different ways. I hope that you and dh get through it all together.

Well, dd is covered in even more spots today and is itching like mad! They are everywhere - in her ears, hair, all over her body and in places you really don't want to think of, poor thing. She is ok in herself still, and thinks it's great fun that she's still in her pj's with Cbeebies on at 10am!!

Dawni · 25/02/2009 08:48

Good morning ladies
You dont need to find the right words, just being there for me is all i need xxxxxxxxxxx

{big sigh} Back to the job in hand (TTC) My CM today and yesterday is very stringy like eggwhite !!! CD14, FF has given up on me again and taken away the red line for the 2nd time !!! I think this month is totaly doomed, lastnight when i wiped myself there was a streak of pink and ive still got cramps which ive had since CD10 ! Im feeling like giving up, but i wont.

Back later, hope everyone is well xx

majormoo · 24/02/2009 22:18

Dawni so sorry to hear your news
Dawn thinking of your sister

We bought some Roary the racing car pants today so potty training here too.

Bloody pancakes-took me hours

Ceebee74 · 24/02/2009 19:54

Dawni oh sweetie so so sorry for you and your DH (and your DS) I also have no words to make you feel better but I am thinking of you all and sending you huge {{hugs}} xx

DawnAS glad the news is a bit more positive about your sister - lets hope the little man can hold out for as long as possible.

Detox lol, I honestly can't believe your DD has the pox aswell - this is truly an internet epidemic - I swear my Ds's caught it from another mum on my PN thread Glad she is ok though.

Willmouse well done to your DS2 on starting his potty training - is it easier because you have already been through it once? I think I am just scared hence why I am delaying it

Nowt new here - Josh, of course, behaved perfectly well at nursery and then turned into devil-child at home - honestly it is like having a 3-foot tall teenager in the house

Further to my sleep problems with him, I think I am going to have come and MN in the middle of the night - when I put him to bed in the evening and shut the stair gate at the top of the stairs, he merrily trots off and puts himself to bed....so I am thinking that might work at 4am too - surely MNing is much more preferable to standing on the landing freezing to death trying to put him back to bed over and over again???

DawnAS · 24/02/2009 19:04

Dawni I'm so sorry for you and DH honey. How truly awful for you. Like HC, not quite sure what I can say to make you feel better, so just sending you loads of hugs and kisses and pray that you are given more strength to cope with this.

MJIM, thank you so much, your post on the other thread was lovely.

Update on my sis, they scanned this afternoon and baby looks fine. Apparently she's lost about a pint of amniotic fluid and is still slightly leaking so they're keeping her in again tonight and I think they will just take it day by day. The doc hadn't been around when I last spoke to Mum so I'm still waiting for news.

This has been one of those days with massive highs and deep lows, let's hope tomorrow things are a little clearer for all. Dawni, any idea when you'll hear more?

xxx

PS: Glad to hear that my Salsa incident is keeping spirits up - but please don't beg me to repeat it - I'm sure DH is ready to hide all jars or put "Dawn-proof" locks on the cupboards so I can't get to them....

Oh girls The procedure did'nt work so we are back to square one, Dr said he wants DH rescanned and to attend a clinc with himself and two other surgeons because he is such an unusual case and is not sure what to do next as he was so certain this would work ! DH has told him there is no way he wants his femur fused to the pelvis as he would then never walk again, drive or kayak, he would'nt even be able to sit properly, he would have to semi lie down ! What a mess....{tears brimming}...Its another waiting game again now, DH said in the car on the way home that if it wasnt for me & mike he would have taken all his meds and just ended the whole thing once and for all life can be so cruel cant it ?
Im sorry i havent read your posts properly, my head is just mush {big sigh}

Lovin ya all

Afternoon ladies

Have already had my pancakes-yum.

Dawni-how did DH get on today?

DawnAS-how frightening for your sister and her much longed for baby. Hope he hangs on in there. I got up to 13st something with DD2 and I'm only 5ft. You will be blooming lovely.

MJIM-fancy you having a jar moment. I'm staying away from jars I think as my pelvic floor is very poor and I can't afford to laugh too much.

Bluestar-how are you and DH getting on? You need all the support you can get so hope you sort things out.

detox-fab nuchal test results. Am dreading this bit after DD2's 1:195 result. Am older now too but much thinner so wonder what difference that will make. Bah to the chicken pox-DD1 never seems to catch it but it is easier to cope with when you are younger.

Willmouse-your potty training seems to be going well. I'm not going to start properly until the Easter hols then Sophie will do something on the potty.

Big wave to everyone else!

Flippin 'eck - its all gone on on here! I don't know where to start.

I think that Dawni's reaction to CE's posting was quite justified. The support from friends on this thread is unbelievable - we have been there for eachother through thick and thin and always will be. There is no need to move to Chat - no-one will go anyway. If I had been ttc and someone had suggested moving over to chat I would actually have left the thread so we should consider ourselves lucky that she is still with us.

Dawni - hope your DH gets on OK today. Also think the poo story is v funny!

BlueStar - sorry you aren't getting any support. I think it is a combination of the fact that people firstly don't know how bad you actually feel and secondly don't know what to say to you so say nothing - it's easier. At least you have us for support.

DawnAS - I hope your niece/nephew is OK - keep us posted.

Fellow potty trainers. I am also potty training DS2 this week. It is hell on earth. He screams like he is being murdered every time he has to sit on it but also doesn't want a nappy or to wee in his trousers. Basically where we are today is that he waits until he is absolutely desparate and jiggles and jumps around hysterically not knowing what to do with himself until he really can't hold it in and then I have to literally force him onto the potty where he finally relents and does a wee. He is then completely changed and happy, runs through to watch you pour the wee down the loo and waits for his chocolate bunny. I hope tomorrow will be better! We have only had 1 accident so far today - he had 5 yesterday.

Sorry that went on a bit! Must go - have a rare hours' peace between potty watching as DS2 is having a nap!

DawnAS · 24/02/2009 14:08

Oh MJIM, that would be lovely if you could post a prayer. My sister would be so appreciative. She's much younger, she's only 22 (12 years difference) and is desperate to have this baby. She's already had 3 miscarriages before they found a cyst on her ovaries and this PG has been fraught with problems. She has to inject herself every day as her blood doesn't clot and her white blood cell count is up again aswell which is indicating infection... She's comfortable at the moment and she's being closely monitored. She hasn't actually gone into labour so they're hoping that it's just a blip. They'll know more when they've done the scan this afternoon to confirm how much fluid has been lost/is remaining.

I'm glad that my Salsa incident made you laugh!! I am definitely able to laugh about it now and DH keeps saying that "there's loads of mileage in that laughable situation yet", so no doubt I'll be the joke of both of our families for some time to come!!

Hello ladies,

BSL, I'm so sorry that you feel you're not getting the support that you absolutely need and deserve. Although I do second what the others have said that maybe your friends just don't know how to approach you about it. I remember when I had the MC and two of my best friends just said "Oh well, it was very early", as if that didn't matter and I didn't grieve for the baby I'd lost. But now I think back, I'm not sure that they meant it how I heard it and maybe your friends are scared to say the wrong thing... We're all here for you hun and hope that you and DH can work through this together.

MJIM, YAY for Naomi!! What an angel!! And YAY for Bradley aswell - what a good boy!! You're a lucky Mum today!!

Detox, so fantastic that you got such a low risk result from the Nuchal Scan - brilliant!! That's another hurdle hurdled!! Roll on your 20 week scan!! Ooh ooh, let us know when it's time to start guessing for pink or blue!!

Ceebee, oh dear about Josh. Such a shame as he has been so good recently. I'm sure it's just a blip... I have to say that your poo story made me laugh aswell (think I'll stick with the Salsa incident thanks!!), sounds like I've got all this joy to come!!

HC, thanks for the Dancing On Ice update and sorry that you're still suffering with MS. I'm glad in a small way as it must be alleviating your fears, but it must be pretty rotten all the same to be going through it. It won't go on for too much longer, surely?!

Dawni, glad you're feeling a little better today. How's DH doing?

Well my DH was lovely at the weekend. I've been quite paranoid about the way I look for a few weeks now as bump is mahoosive!! I've gone from 9st 12 to 11st 5 and I'm only 25 weeks (tomorrow). I'm 5ft 8 tall and everyone that sees me says that I'm all bump, but I'm not so sure. Well, on Sunday morning DH just came out and said that I look fantastic pregnant and sometimes he just stares at me because he can't believe how radiant I look!! That's all I needed to hear!! I'm a happy girl now!!

Well, I think maybe happy is the wrong word with what I'm about to say...

My sister (who is two weeks ahead of me) was rushed into hospital last night as her waters broke at 27 weeks.... I'm not sure that saying her waters broke is quite right as they don't think she's lost all the fluid but definitely some and she's still leaking now. They've kept her in and given her steroids to help her little boy's lungs to develop and they're scanning her this afternoon with a special scanner to find out how much fluid she's lost. What they were worried about though is that his head was engaged... Unfortunately, my sister is very prone to exaggerating so we're waiting for more info from the hospital before we all start panicking. Surely if it was that serious they would have scanned her last night or this morning wouldn't they, as opposed to waiting until this afternoon?

In answer to the comments that some of you made recently when I mentioned my sister about how nice it must be to be PG at the same time, unfortunately we don't get on at all. There are 12 years difference between us and we really have nothing in common and are chalk and cheese. But obviously she is my sister so I'd never wish anything bad on her or her little boy. I just hope that whatever happens, her little boy is strong enough to pull through... So, I'll be calling my mum this evening to get another update...

Hope everyone else is having a good Tuesday. Has anyone else noticed a severe lack of anything "Pancakey" in the shops? I didn't even know it was Shrove Tuesday today (it's not on my calendar) until they mentioned it on GMTV this morning and did a pancake race on Loose Women at lunchtime!! Luckily we've got stuff in to make them!!

Morning Ladies......goodness, this will teach me to not log into MN for a few days...hope everyone is well today. I haven't read all the posts but just want to add that this thread has been a fabulous support to me ttc, when I had my mc and now as I plod through my pg, and I hope that's how it stays for me and all of you.

Well, had the nuchal scan and tests on Fri and have been given a 1:11,000 risk which obv I am very happy with. Saw the baby up close and he's looking good Am convinced it's a boy - just have to wait until 28th April to find out at 20 week scan hopefully.

On a less positive note, dd has managed to catch the internet chickenpox that's been going around but in a way I am glad she's got it out of the way now. Apart from being mega spotty, she is completely fine in herself - just not the way I hoped I'd be spending my week off work

Ceebee74 · 24/02/2009 10:31

MJIM a huge well done to Naomi I bet you just feel like a new woman this morning don't you?

BSL oh how crap for you - was DH defending his family/friends?? Maybe (and I am not defending them in any way) they just don't know what to say so avoiding the issue seems easier - when in fact all you probably want is a kind word

I packed Josh off to nursery today and told the staff 'good luck' with him and his contrariness - no doubt he will be as good as gold there today

Evening all,

Dawn - you have absolutely hit the nail on the head with your earlier post about this thread. I could not have put it better myself!!

HC - you poor thing with MS and poos on the carpet! Moan all you like about the morning sickness! Grateful?....sounds not nice to me!

Myjob - good luck for the dedication!

Ceebee - oh no...not more poo stories!

Well having a crap night here again. DH and I are fighting.... He's finally (finally finally) told our friends and his family. And not a single one of them have bothered contacting me...not even a text to see if I'm okay. I am very upset. I've been there for and talked to our friends whenever things have been been hard for them...now, well not one of them has reached out to me with any support. I feel very let down.

Do you know what...my DH just asked me what I was doing and I said I was posting here. Guys, you are such a massive support to me...I don't now what I'd do without you all. I told my DH, you guys are one of the few groups of people I can come to and I know you'll all be there when things are good or bad.

thanks guys!
