Bloody potty training! She has wet her pants and won't sit on the potty, just keeps tipping it upside down in temper. She wants a drink and I said not until I get a wee in the potty or on the toilet. Is this a bad mummy thing? She had already pooed before school so still had a nappy on. Willmouse-I suspect he will do one when he gets a nappy on.

ray-have heard that book is excellent. Yes, I did know that after OV your temp will remain high for 10-14 days and if AF due it will drop. If PG it will remain high. However, if you look at my positive chart you will see a dip on DPO 13 which made me think AF was starting. When I read up on this it is normal to have a dip when AF due and still be PG. Phew! Do you have a chart I can stalk follow like I do Dawni's. I actually miss the temp charting (well, only a bit) Oh, and I did that method I discovered on another thread-BD every other night starting on CD6 or CD8 then when you get a +ive OPK BD that night, the next, the next, then have a night off then again the next night.

Hi guys back this morn. You all are a bunch of wonderful people it makes me smile reading all your posts.

Had scan yesterday and all is well in that department i knew it would be as i had a Lap just over a year ago and was told that my womb and everything are perfectly heathy but at least that is out of the way.
I brought a book yesterday called 'Taking Charge of your fertility' and i must say it is very very interesting it talks about temping which i havent ever done but will start now and also about CM and checking for your fertile periods which i am also going to try, along with the clomid and SME plan etc etc puling out all the stops this month.

I dont know if anyone ever knew this, i didnt, but when you are temping if you have 18 days of high temp after Ov then you are pregnant. That will save on bloody pregnancy tests, it also helps to determine if you have a problem with falling and then miscarrying very early or even problems with CM. Just want to get going now but still have a week or so to wait. DOH

Dawni this book may help for you too it is very interesting and so bloody simple i cant believe i havent heard all the things in the book. Enjoy having your hair done make sure you relax you need it.

Willmouse, congrats on being a graduate i realy hope to join you soon. Any tips ?

HC thanks for the goodluck hopefully this thread will bring me some and i will be talking about babies soon too.

Morning all

Potty training going OK now - still no poo though and I'm rather worried. Any advice????

HC - my thoughts are with you and your potty - I actually wish Ollie would just do a poo on the carpet - he must be really consipated!

Ceebee - good luck with baby massage!

Dawni - I think you are using too many methods to try and see if you have ovulated. Why don't you give FF a miss next month (if there is one) and just use your clearblue monitor?

Ceebee74 · 26/02/2009 09:51

Morning

Am off to my first baby massage class this morning Hopefully it will cheer up ol' grumpy pants for a little while

HumphreysCorner · 26/02/2009 09:27

Oh Dawni-please don't despair hun. FF has a clear red line but if you have more than 1 temp below the coverline it will remove the crosshairs. FF isn't always right but if you are like me I used to believe it had to be right. Enjoy having you hair done and read some trashy magazines.

How is everyone else?

Have a good day all.

Good morning lovely ladies.....

Fertility Friend is doing my head in, it reckons im now only 3DPO, which would mean we have totaly missed the moment !!! I went by the clearblue fertility monitor, so heyho, i know im not pregnant, just feel the usual old me !! Didnt do much BDing this month, DH wasnt really up to it. Never mind eh maybe next time {rolls eyes}.

I cant find old friends on Facebook either, they will all be married and i dont know the married names !!! And it doesnt know either of my schools !!! Nothings ever bloody easy in this house {big sigh}. Im going for my hair highlighted and trimmed at 9.30

Hope you are all well

Much love

D xx

HumphreysCorner · 25/02/2009 18:01

Lol Willmouse-am going for the pants only approach at first as easier to whip down and sit her on the potty. They do tend to hold onto the poos at first don't they? Not Sophie though-just uses the carpet.

Well, I sneaked a couple of pancakes in my mouth as nausea horrendous.

Hey all,

Thanks for your support again guys. I feel much better now.

Dawni, so pleased that everything is Ok with your cervix. Good that they saw you straight away and that's one thing you no longer need to worry about!!

HC, goodness, you are prepared!! I wish you hadn't mentioned pancakes - DH and I had them last night - now I want them again...

Wilmouse, I hope you haven't jinxed the toilet activity by mentioning it... eek!!

MJIM, hope you're Ok today hun!!

Big waves and hugs to everyone else.

Off to cook pork chops for tea - yum!!

HC - two pairs of joggers - PMSL - we are getting through about 5 a day here!

MrsPuddleduck · 25/02/2009 16:31

Hi all!

Ray81 - great to have a new recruit! I am the most recent gradute I am 6 + 4. This is a great thread - and very lucky!

Dawni - glad all is well and at least you got an MOT out of it!

Dawnas - I know it is easier said that done but I wouldn't worry about it. I can't imagine it will have any effect on you. My best friends' BIL was put on the sex offenders register (long story) and they never even considered extended family - now it can't get worse than that!

Potty update - only has a mistake if I am not in the room twice today. Dare I mention that he hasn't had a poo yet

Afternoon ladeez

A mahoosive welcome to ray81-crikey, you have had a journey too haven't you? Lots of luck to you.

DawnAS-I honestly do not think you will be affected in anyway. What happens to your DS and BIL is irrelevant to your circumstances. Must be a serious prison visit for SS to be informed though. What a mess.

Dawni-thank goodness all is well with your bits. Phew!

Today I bought a soft Fifi toilet shrinker, Kandoo Soap, training pull ups and a pack of 7 pants and 2 pairs of joggy bottoms. I mean business tomorrow (if I'm not too sick of course). Girls demanding pancakes again so better go and make a mix.

Back soon and big wave to all!

OMG DawnAS What a dilema, i really dont know but im sure just because you have the same MW it shouldnt make a difference to you and DH, you live seperate lives from your sis and her DH, it shouldnt effect you at all. Try not to worry too much and im sure someone else has better info to help but it is a totaly different case xx

Your right about GOOGLING, i saw some awful pics this morning re. cervix !!
Any hoo...Nurse & my doc says im fine, my smear would have been due in april, so she done that while i was there. Doc says there is 3 follicles on the tip of my cervix but its nothing to worry about and all looks healthy {WooHoo}

Later

DawnAS · 25/02/2009 14:44

Hello all,

Ray, welcome to this thread. It has been such a massive support to me through TTC and MC. Am 25 weeks PG today with my first baby so all of this is new to me. Luckily virtually everyone on this thread (except a couple of ladies) have had DC before so can give me hints and tips when the time comes. I wish you lots of luck on your continued TTC journey and sorry that it has been so hard for you... But you're in the right place now!!

Ceebee, try not to worry too much about scarring... I had chickenpox when I was 10 and picked them constantly. I just ended up with one tiny scar on my chin and you can't even notice it at all now!! Oh pleeeease have a duvet day for me!! I have no work to do yet need to stay by the PC in case something comes up. I am sooooo bored!! But I don't want to fall into the "Boredom leads to unnecessary internet shopping" trap!!.

Dawni, you are absolutely right to get it checked out by the nurse, I'm sure it's nothing but where's the harm. A piece of advice though - REFRAIN FROM GOOGLING!!! I'm sure Google is the work of some dark-being as it brings nothing but worry and misery I feel. You haven't got long to wait now. Make sure you come on later and let us know what the nurse said!! Good luck!!

Detox, what a nightmare for you. Lucky that she's feeling Ok though and not grouchy. Hope she gets better soon though...

Wilmouse - Ooops - maybe your little one is saying that they don't like you being on MN!! Eek... Hope things are going slightly better today!!

Majormoo, we had pancakes last night aswell - I made the batter mix but DH cooked them - they were bloody lovely!! Hmmm, I'm hungry now....

Where's HC and CE today?

Anyway news on my sis. She went home last night after some more steroids and had to go back in this morning. They have changed her dates now and brought them forward by a couple of weeks which explains the size of the baby etc.

But there is now another crisis (it's always the way with my sister) and I'm really concerned and very much need people's advice on this...

We currently have the same MW and because my sister has had various issues throughout this PG, her marriage and pretty much her life, the MW decided to pass the details onto Social Services. Well my Mum had a visit from SS today (for some reason my sister has registered herself at my Mum's address??!!) and they've investigated and decided that my sister's DH is a risk to children (he's been in prison but we don't really know what for...) so they're putting together a "pre-birth case conference" to discuss what's going to happen to their baby.

But the reason that I need advice is that I want to know whether my lovely DH and I may be affected by this aswell as we have the same MW? DH and I have worked so hard all our lives to build a good secure home to be able to have a child. Neither of us have ever been in trouble and we can't wait for Jelly to arrive and now I'm worried that by the silly actions of my sister and her DH, that we may be at risk of being tarred with the same brush.

Does anyone know how these things work or where I can go to get advice? Feeling really low and worried at the moment... .

majormoo · 25/02/2009 13:32

welcome Ray. Sorry to hear you have had such a tough 5 years. Hope you have some luck soon.

Dawni if it worries you no harm in getting checked out. Much better to do that than have it playing on your mind. To hopefully reassure you a bit, I have had treatment for abnormal cervical cells in the past but this just showed on a smear-there was nothing external to indicate a problem (actually that probably doesn't sound that reassuring!)

Bluestar-meant to say yesterday but did not have time, really hope you can get treatment earlier than two years, even if the costs are eye watering. At risk of banging on about the same experience in my life 100 times, when I had my termination I was shocked and angry at how many of my friends did not call me or even text to see how I was. I think people are worried about saying the wrong thing so many of them say nothing. I found that when you are struggling unfortunately you often have to still make the first move as it were, and guide people in how to deal with you. You may well have to call your friends rather than the other way round. On the positive side, I did find other people that I was not initially so close to were wonderful (they had all been through bereavements so I guess that makes a difference)-maybe you will need to lean on different people to the ones you would have expected to count on.

Anyway must go-boys are asleep so getting some peace and quiet. Have been feeling swamped the last couple of days-of course I should not complain but I so rarely get time to myself they were all driving me mad yesterday. Am still thinking about my 22 year old cousin saying 'I cannot remember you really before you had children'. I know the feeling!

ray81 · 25/02/2009 13:12

Hi Dawni,

i plan to stay here if i can it seems like such a nice thread and some lovely people on here. its so nice to speak to people about how you feel and know that they know how you feel too. Although friends and family try they realy cant understand if they haveent been through it.

Your poor DH too it must be so hard for him being in so much pain all the time. i hope there is something they can do for him.

I must go now havee o go shopping will pop on later to catch up.
i realy hope we can become friends that would be so nice

detoxdiva · 25/02/2009 12:46

Welcome Ray - sorry to hear about your ttc history, and fingers crossed you get some good luck soon. This is a very supportive thread so I hope you find it a help.

I have sudocrem in the house....so off to smother dd (she is 3 and I am 12 weeks pg just to introduce myself too!) now! She already looks a state covered in calomine lotion - good job we're not leaving the house

Dawni · 25/02/2009 12:45

Hi Ray and a very big welcome to you, hope you stay with us

I really dont mind telling you, DH was born without his right leg, he has a small stump which up until a month ago he wore an artificial leg, nothing has stopped him living a full life, but around april last year he started with pains in his stump and it has progressed from there, he has been in agony for months and going for scans, you will know the outcome from reading the threads so i wont do you an essea ...and i know exactley how you feel on the TTC front, our son is 16 !! When he was about 18 months old i came off the pill and the rest is history as they say. Ive had extreme lows over the years, even wanting to end my life on the very darkest of days, but then i think of how beautiful our son is and he has never been any bother all these years, at the mo he is a normal sulky teenager, but thats ok . We have had to take time out now and then, sometimes up to a year, because you forget who you are and what life is about. Me and DH have been through some serious shit over the years and we just keep getting stronger. Some days i feel very empty and lonely and sit and cry for hours at a time, but finding this thread and the fantastic ladies on here has helped me soooo much you would'nt believe, so stick around hun, you wont regret it i promise.

Much love

D xx

ray81 · 25/02/2009 12:41

i think the duvet day is a good idea for defo.

Try the sudocrem if sam gets the spots.

i am hoping that i will have a baby as a product of this tread to it seems like a pretty lucky thread.

decided to take the clomid again this month i am all excited now i realy hope it works. need something to look forward to

Ceebee74 · 25/02/2009 12:26

Ray how lovely of you to give your aunt a break and it must be nice to spend some time with your grandad

Sam is 3 months old (he was a product of this thread ) and Josh is 2.7 - 'my boys' as I call them all the time - there are photos on my profile page if you want a nosy.

Great tip about the sudocrem - tis too late now though - just have to keep fingers crossed that my lovely boy's face is not scarred!

Have just looked out of the window and it is dull, drizzly and damp - duvet day it is I think!!

ray81 · 25/02/2009 12:06

Hi ceebee,

I say stay in until you need to get Josh up dont go out until you realy need to !!!

i am at my grandads at the moment he is very poorly and lives with my aunt and i come and sit with him so she can go out. gives me time to sit on here and chat.
How old is Sam?
I must say that when my DD, her name is Emily had the spots i used sudocream and it is brilliant if you can get them before they come out full force then they dont blister and then dont scar the only one that came out was under her arm and shee has a scar there but thats all.

I am on CD 2 and the last time i fell pg i was taking Clomid, i have had a 3 month break since mc and cant decide whether to start taking it again this month or not. we also followed the SME plan whilst taking the clomid and it worke. any advise to take ot not to take ?

Ceebee74 · 25/02/2009 11:52

Ray81 welcome to the thread - the more the merrier How for your history - I really feel for you. Hopefully you will stick around and get some support.

Dawni I am sure it is absolutely nothing to worry about but better to get it checked out - where is the harm in doing that?

Willmouse fantastic news about your DS2 - what a star

Detox the spots look awful don't they? I used to look at Josh and just pray they didn't scar - he still has about 3 marks on his face but I am hoping they will fade and not scar

Trying to decide whether to go and get Sam weighed this afternoon or just have a 'duvet' day and stay in until it is time to pick Josh up from nursery...decisions decisions!
