Hi Girls!

Welcome Millie, sorry to hear about mc. i hope you get lucky soon xxxx

Seany sorry it was a bfn... hopefully it was too early and it will still be a bfp in a few days x

Joy has that evil witch turned up yet? or have you tried another test and got urself a bfp??

Ray when are you going to test? im keeping everything crossed for you xx

Yesterday i was told the news that my bil and his gf are expecting their first baby. I am happy for them but feel like ive hit a brick wall. I keep thinking of my mc and that i should of been 10 wks by now. DH has been away working this weekend and i am too to admit to anyone im feeling like this. I need a slap hug. I know i need to think of other things but i think that not dealing with my feelings after the mc that ive made it worse somehow.

Happy Mothers day and Happy mum 2 b (in the near future) day xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

SuziBhoy · 21/03/2009 17:48

have you ever found yourself staring at the test that much that you actually start to see lines that arent there... i do all the time, then have to walk away and look at it l8r and see that there is actually only one pathetic line.... oh how frustrating

ray81 · 21/03/2009 08:39

Seany so sorry you got a BFN what a painin the arse however hope is not lost it could still be a bfp in a few days. But know how you feel.

Still holding off on testing but because of all this i am forgetting things , ummmm like the fact it is mothers day tomorrow bugger need to get card and pressie DOH.

seanybosmummy · 21/03/2009 08:21

Hi millie

So sorry to hear about ur mc. good luck for this month+a bfp!

Dear god girls did everyone just go and get pissed last nite?! lol Wish i couldve stayed awake long enough to do that-was too tired and out doing my food shopping at 7pm last nite (had to otherwise ds would have had to have stale bread for his breakfast lol)

Well seems i couldnt hold off until af is 1 day late and bought a cheap test out of boots. bfn as usual....

Don't you just get sick of looking at ONE line! WE WANT TO SEE 2

Milliemuffin · 20/03/2009 21:51

Hi ladies, i'm going to be 30 in june so thought i'd join this group whilst i still can :-)

We got the all clear today via an internal scan after a miscarriage at 9 weeks so now waiting for AF so we can start trying for our 2nd, already have a 20month DS.

Joy27 · 20/03/2009 20:02

So the general concensus for many of us is:

Where the hell is af? And why aren't I pregnant? Never mind, let's get trollied!

Perhaps all our afs are off getting pissed together.

Have fun ladies!

SuziBhoy · 20/03/2009 18:48

hmmm i have a bottle of wine in the fridge.... thanks girls for reminding me... ama gettin pissed aswell

Rtuff · 20/03/2009 18:44

Just to fill you all in i too did a test and got a BFN but still no AF.... Couple of days late now, and my cycle has never been this long...

If only things were soo much easier for everyone!!!

I'm also off to get pissed tonight, sounds like drunken nights all round!!

ray81 · 20/03/2009 18:07

Suzi, so sorry yours was a BFN too this is not good but like Bubble said it isnt over until AF arrives so you never know.

Am out for an indian in a min and am going to have a few drinks, i know all the signs are pointing to be being UTD but i realy dont want to put my life on hold 'just in case' as if i am not i shall me bloody pissed off so will carry on as normal.

I realy hope we get some BFPS soon ALL OF US would be good.

Joy27 · 20/03/2009 14:27

Woo bubble, prepare yourself for some hot birthday lovin'!

suzi, goddam, I thought we were both going to be triumphant this month. Bollocks.

I know what you mean re temping etc bubble. It does seem like a proactive option rather than wailing and gnashing my teeth every month.

I suppose it ain't over til af sings, as you say.... this is the twisted logic in getting merry tonight. I think if I carry on as though I'm definitely not pg, it might somehow, er, fool fate into making me pg.
Or something. It makes sense in my head.

(Never fear tho, I'm not going to drink to liver-pickling levels- just in case).

SuziBhoy · 20/03/2009 14:25

no bubble ive never tried deannas plan but im going on google rite now to research it... ive heard its hard

i hope you have an eventful birthday then

Bubblebell1 · 20/03/2009 14:17

Suzi i thought u were pg too. its shit isnt it. you still could be. it isnt over til AF shows im keeping my fingers crossed for you and Joy

im good. on cd5 and wishing the month away. my fertile days this month are my birthday and the few days after!! im keeping my fingers crossed that it means this is my lucky month

im gonna use opks from cd8 and follow deannas plan it says that it works for couples who have had a mc.

have you tried it before?

SuziBhoy · 20/03/2009 14:09

hey bubble i tested this morning and it was bfn... so dont think i am pregnant as i am now on CD39 and im sure it would show if i were. so i have decided to try something different. i have always just relied on ewcm, but thinking of trying opk or something. not quite sure where to start!!
how are u getting on??

Bubblebell1 · 20/03/2009 13:59

joy i too am getting pissed tonight. DH/ps dont really know how it feels to us as the women who are ttc. Have you explained further than just your upset at not being pg. i found that confiding in dh that i felt like a failure etc made him more understanding to how i felt.

do you take agnus castus? after speaking to a medical herbalist she reccomended it. i started taking it in jan and my cycles went back to norm and i fell pg but lost it.

temping and using opks can help, i know you dont want to go down the slippery slope of obsessing but i look at it as being pro active. (i think ive said this before) by temping you could confirm ovulation and would prob find out that you have been mis timing intercourse or something like that.

suzi have u tested yet?

SuziBhoy · 20/03/2009 13:07

aw Joy so sorry, i dont think i can say anything to make you feel better, but you are right to think you can come on here for support x

Joy27 · 20/03/2009 11:57

bubble, so did I! Actually felt quite affronted when the second line didn't appear, like "this was not how the script was supposed to go!".

Have just spoken to lovely nurse at doc's surgery, who is going to send off a sample for me on Monday just to confirm I'm not pg, after which they'll book me in for an appt to check all is well with plumbing.

In the mean time, I have a work do tonight, and goddamit I'm going to get pissed.

Thanks so much for being so nice everyone. I am a brazen thread-hogger today, but after building it up for so long (yeah, sorry about that btw), I've come crashing down, and I don't have anyone in RL apart from Mr. Que Sera Sera (dp) to talk to about this. I so appreciate your support.

Bubblebell1 · 20/03/2009 11:33

joy im so sorry. i really thought u were pg. i know i cant say anything to make you feel any better but dont feel self indulgant. your intittled to feel like this. 10 months is a long time and it is a big deal. im thinking of you and sending you hugs xxx

Joy27 · 20/03/2009 11:23

No seany I haven't been temping. I just don't think it's the right way for me to go about things- it helps a lot of people but would drive me up the wall with worry.
I just make sure we bd regularly and extra on days when I have EWCM.

Thanks for your understanding words btw sniff I do hope all of us get our bfps soon.

seanybosmummy · 20/03/2009 10:59

Hi Joy, men just don't think the same way women do. It's us women that have to put our bodies through all the trials and tribulations of ttc and actual pregnancy. Your partner is probably just as frustrated as you are but just doesn't know how to let it out without making you more upset.

you will get there in the end. I know thats a really stupid thing to say and I would feel like slapping anyone who said it to me, but it really is true when you think about it.

I know the wait is unbearable and the differing emotions just leaves you feeling deflated and exhasted. it only took us 5 months with ds to conceive (he is now 18 mths), but already it has been double this and for some reason it is so upsetting this time around when every month it doesn't happen,as we really want ds to have someone close in age.

I really really hope you get your wish soon. I have decided that if it doesn't happen for us this month i am going to go to my doctor and get it checked out ( i am going to lie and say we have been ttc for a year as they wont do anything knowing its really been 10 months).

I haven't been temping or anything, have you?

Joy27 · 20/03/2009 10:16

ps I'm really sorry if I'm being insensitive towards lovely ladies who have had things much harder than me and been trying longer. I appreciate that things could be a lot worse, and will be smiling again soon.

I'm just on a whinge binge and can't seem to snap out of it!

Joy27 · 20/03/2009 10:12

Thanks for the support guys.

Feeling a tad better now but still very grumpy and sad.

My partner doesn't seem to understand at all and couldn't appreciate why I was crying. He just thinks it'll happen when it happens, and when we get a BFP we'll be really happy but there's no reason to feel sad in the mean time. If only I could think the same way. He also seems to think I could still be pg despite what the test said (don't worry, am not kidding myself that I could be). We had a bit of a bicker about it all. Soooo not how I envisioned last night was going to be .

Sick of it all. Almost wish we'd never started trying.

How's everyone else? Any good news?

seanybosmummy · 20/03/2009 09:52

Awww Joy im so sorry. You're not being dramatic, I understand exactly how u must be feeling. We have been trying for 10 months as well, and it does get so frustrating, esp when ur body keeps playing such cruel tricks on you.

And your right it IS a big deal.

Joy27 · 20/03/2009 08:57

Thanks Ray
I did a test last night and one this morning to be sure.

You know, I was totally OK with not being pregnant this month. If I'd just got my period when it was due I would have been fine.

Two friends have just started trying for babies and I feel I'll be left behind. We've been trying for 10 months with one mc, and I feel the one-year mark looming.

I don't want to be the woman who has miscarriages, who can't concieve, who has mad cycles and has to fret and worry about her fertility and go to the doctor for tests. I'm 28 ffs!

I just feel so sad, and I know 10 months isn't that long, and I know I'm being dramatic and wallowing in self-pity, and it's not a big deal.

But it is a big deal. And I could do without this further madness from my body.

ray81 · 20/03/2009 08:51

Oh bloddy hell joy im so so sorry this TTc lark is a bitch. Realy gutted for you.

The only explanation is that you Ovulated later or you didnt ovulate at all.

Joy27 · 20/03/2009 08:42
