Kay4MattTTC · 10/04/2009 18:50

Afternoon all.
This seems like a nice thread so wondered if i could join in? i do have a confession to make tho, am not in my 20's am 16.

Wont beet around the bush me and my DP have been TTC DC#1 for about 10month. Been haveing problems with ovulating . We have a GOF very very regularly, but still no luck. Also, i have been getting very of people around me that are already pg or people who already have a DC, but oh well. I am currently on CD10. So just waiting for ovulatiuon CM if it ever arrives.

seanybosmummy · 10/04/2009 09:40

I will mumof, things are definatately looking positive for you though!!

MumOfBaby · 10/04/2009 09:28

Thanks Seany. I've had no more bleeds since about 4th april.

I've done a test this morning and it's even stronger positive, so I don't understand how theirs could have been negative.

I feel a little more hopeful today which I know I shouldn't, but I can't help but feel pregnant.

Got to hold out til tuesday for the blood test, and then hopefully that will confirm things.

Keep your fingers crossed for me

seanybosmummy · 09/04/2009 21:32

You're not being silly at all, you have a right to be upset, its a big thing after all. that doctor was an arrogant and insensitive prick (excuse my french),how dare he say something like that to you!!! that is so unprofessional! I honestly think that you should go to a different hospital and ask for an internal scan or even ask your doctor to request one for you.that is not on, you have been treated very badly mumof..

But you know what, you have had so many positive tests that i honestly think it is def just to early to show on a tummy scan- i was in that situation and the internal scan showed the sac and the little heart beat, when the tummy scan showed nothing at all.

Let me know how you get on,keep positive and i hope you get some answers soon.

ps don't let anyone else make you feel silly for being upset, its only human xx

MumOfBaby · 09/04/2009 18:02

Seany- I don't think the hospital have dealt with it very well. But when a tear slipped out, the doctor said 'Oh there's no need for that, these things happen all the time. Just try again next month. At least you know things are working'.

So i feel so silly for being upset. But I just can't help it.

seanybosmummy · 09/04/2009 16:49

mumof just wanted to let you know that i got a tummy scan at 5 weeks with ds because i had a threatened mc, but they couldnt see anything, so had to give me an internal scan instead. I just assumed earlier that they had given you an internal one with you being so early on in your pg-did they only give you a tummy one???? if they did then thats why they didn't see anything!!!
hope this gives you some hope xxxx

bubble lucky you only having 4 hours of labour!! i was in slow labour with ds for 4 days!!!! and then had to get emergency section at the end of it all cause i wasn't dilating past 5cms! lol god was soooooooooooo raging lol

MumOfBaby · 09/04/2009 16:25

Hi All,

I've been to the doctors and she said that she would trust the cleablue over the hospital test as they have been known to be wrong at the hospital- so she has booked me in for blood tests on Tuesday, thenmy 2nd set are booked for Thursday, but I might not need them depending on the first set IYSWIM.

Still really upset, but she said they wouldn't be able to see anything on a tummy scan at 5 weeks anyway.

I did another test and it was positive again.

I just don't know what to think.

Hope things will be fine for you Ray.

Bubblebell1 · 09/04/2009 14:44

o god.. im sorry i missed your post ray i took the boys to the the RAF museum. [feel guilty for missing you in your moment of need emotion]
im sure its nothing. i think what the others said is best. You should try and get a blood test to see if hcg levels are still rising. If you cant get a test then i will hold your hand til your scan next week.

Mumofbaby i feel for you hunny! it must be awful having conflicting test results. could you not ask for a blood test also? that seems to be the only difinitive way of knowing.

Joy im still feeling ruff. cramps on and off but im not so pre menstral. not half as moody but if u ask dh he would say i am

Ant im hoping that a bfp is just round the corner.

Seany your right. i can remember every detail. i was screaming down the labour ward at this time 8 yrs ago and ds1 was born at 16.49 weighing 9lb 4oz after only 4 hrs of labour.

ray81 · 09/04/2009 13:11

Mumof you poor thing i can sympathise with you i realy can. Drinking lots of water etc can affect the tests. am i right in thinking you did another CB digi and that said 1-2 weeks, how long ago was that?. Like seany said if the hormones arent high enough then they wont be able to see anything on the scan, the hormones have to be over 2000 which you normally wouldnt get until you were 6-7 weeks. My sis had the same thing and the doc did a blood test and it showed the hormones were fine so dont lose hope yet.

Seany, i ahev thought about a blood test but to be honest they have to do at least 2 to check what levels are doing and even then it wont change waht is going to happen. I am just trying to think that if i am going to lose then there is nothing i can do about it and worrying is just going to upset me alot more and not help matters. I have a scan a week tomorrow so just need to get through the next week.

I'll tell you what it is amazing we have babies at all given all that can go wrong.

Joy27 · 09/04/2009 13:07

oh mumofbaby poor you. I do hope this isn't a miscarriage... If it is though, many of us here have been through it (including me)so can offer any support we can. But of course, keeping everything crossed that it isn't.

ray, the hospital's advice re tests sounds reassuring. I'm willing your bean to keep sticking.

ant- I feel your pain! My last cycle was 42 days so now I'm resigning myself to an almost 4 WEEK wait. GROAN.

bubble- how do you feel today?

Thanks for welcoming me back ladies, it was nice to get your messages. In answer to your questions, my job is very stressful and rarely lets up. I do wonder whether it's hindering our ttc efforts- I can physically feel my insides tensing up when I get stressed. I'm certain that I also need to learn how to deal with stress better.

Anyway, I'm on CD18 now and pretty sure I ov'd within the past few days. So now it's time for that loooong wait.

seanybosmummy · 09/04/2009 12:51

Oh mumof you poor thing, you must be so upset at the minute . Did the epu not carry out a quantitive blood test to check hcg levels? I would go to hosp and request one if they haven't. I read on another thread that someone had a blank on a scan but two weeks later was scanned again and the baby showed up, and they said it hadn't showed on last scan cause it had been too early, so don't lose all hope.

Ray same advice to you, if you are worried I would ask for a blood test just to put your mind at ease, though i agree with what the epu said, all tests are different.

Ant ill keep my fingers crossed that its still too early to show bfp, though i know you would rather af show up if your not pg so you can start trying again instead of being left hanging in limbo.

MumOfBaby · 09/04/2009 12:39

I went to EPU today, and they couldn't see anything on the scan. My last period was 5th March.

They did a pregnancy test and it was negative. But I had downed loads of water just before it.

Then I came home and did a pregnancy test and it is positive 1-2 weeks.

I'm in a state.

They said I've miscarried.

Have I? Please can someone shed some light?

Breaking my heart at mo and DP is so upset, too.

ray81 · 09/04/2009 12:08

Well called the epu and they have told me not to worry to much and to NOT do anymore tests as they are not helpful and i may as well burn £5 notes as all tests can differ. I know that when i did some predictor ones they were lighter. Hopefully this one was just a dud not alot of ink or something youncan get those and it was still dark just not as dark so anything could have affected it.

In 2 minds now as was going to buy a cb digi and do it in the morning and if it says 3+ then i know i am safe and if it says less then i know i'm fucked esp as ive already had one that said 3+ weeks.what to do?

Antdamm · 09/04/2009 11:50

Hey Ladies,

Ray I second (or third) what Joy and Seany have said. I'm sure everything will be fine. Thinking of you.

As for me - BFN again
I'm on CD39 so I'm thinking that it is a repeat of last month, iirc it lasted 42days!?! So I may have a wee while to wait before I know.
I'm so annoyed.

Bubble - that sounds positive to me!! Good Luck

seanybosmummy · 09/04/2009 10:01

sorry,i didnt notice there was other msgs on here.

ray joy is right, contact the epu and see if they can do a blood test to check hcg levels. everything will be ok, keep your chin up and try to stay positive. will be thinkin about you xx

seanybosmummy · 09/04/2009 09:59

Morning bubble hope your feeling better (ikwym about the sickness -thats a good sign!!) lol

Time just flies by doesnt it, i bet you can remember every detail of ds1s birth like it was yesterday!!

Hows everyone else today?

Did you poas yet Ant??

Joy27 · 09/04/2009 09:46

Ray, try not to panic... (I know it's impossible). Can you go to your EPU or call them at least? I really hope this is nothing. xx

ray81 · 09/04/2009 09:25

Bubble-

I tested this morn and the test isnt as strong its still there and as strong as the control line but i have had ones that have been alot stronger. It was fmu too am realy scared now as this is what happened last time i had strong tests and then they got weaker. shit shit what do i do?

Bubblebell1 · 09/04/2009 08:04

morning girls!

welcome back joy! glad you had a good time, shame about work tho but proves how wonderful you are

Ray try not to worry about the pains, im sure they are just normal early pg pains. i was told that with each subsiquent pg you feel the aches and pains more so perhaps that what it is. When i was pg with ds2 i had terrible pains and went to hosp. thinking the worst and they saw him on a scan well it looked like a prawn but it turned out to be him

hows things Seany? ant have you tested?

i woke early this morn i feel sick. not like im going to be sick but queasy iykwim?
af isnt here yet but still have cramps and its cd26 today!! this time last cycle af was here so im gonna wait til monday to test but i dont hold out much hope.

its ds1s 8th birthday today! i cant believe how quickly its gone!

hope your all well..

seanybosmummy · 08/04/2009 21:55

Hi joy welcome back,im glad you have came back nice and relaxed . that sucks that you are being bombarded with work issues though, they obviously can't cope without you-do you think it will settle down soon?

ray hopefully it is just your womb stretching that is causing the pains, i had pretty bad ones when i was pg with ds and the epu told me thats prob what they were.

ant do you think you could contain yourself until fri or sat???? what cd are you on now?

Hope everyone else are well. Ive been on a healthy eating diet since monday and im DYING for a bar of chocolate (im a choc addict ) but have had to settle myself with an orange instead booooooo

ray81 · 08/04/2009 19:05

Joy welcome back glad you had a nice time.

Re the stress - my old job used to be very stressfull and funnily enough i feel in Nov just before i was made redundant, although knew from July that i was leaving in Nov so had chilled completely and then have fallen 4 months later, everyone has been saying to me what a different person i am so much more relaxed and chilled about everything. I cant say for sure that the stress stopped me falling but i would bet that it contributed.

Been having some pains today, nothing too bad but its making me paranoid that am going to lose - please please let me keep this little one.

Antdamm · 08/04/2009 15:03

Hey Ladies,

Tests arrived in post this afternoon. So, will be retesting tomorrow. (fingers crossed)
Do you think I should hold off til Friday/Saturday to test? In case(banging head against wall at craziness) I have ov'd late??

Joy - Glad you are back. I expect you were busy
Re your job - is it always high stress? Or is it a busy time of year for you? Will it be calming down anytime soon?

Bubble - as you have said to me. Its not over until she shows up. Dont give up.

Joy27 · 08/04/2009 14:50

Hello!

I'm back, had a fab time but have come back to some pretty high drama at work (am still on leave but getting phone calls which are stressing me out). Each time I get some time off work I feel so much more relaxed- I wonder whether stress is holding me back ttc-wise.

There's so much to catch up on- I'll have to go back and read the thread and see what's happening. In the mean time I hope all are well and everything going to plan!

I'm on CD17 at the moment, had EWCM on CD15, so not quite out of the game yet.

Ant from a quick scan of the posts, I gather you are waiting to test. Any news? (Apols if I've got wires crossed)

seanybosmummy · 08/04/2009 13:14

thanks ray that info is really helpful, i did have ewcm yest so i guess i am ov! yippee lol i was in a big bad mood with dp last night and was in no mood to bd but had him bding anyway which is awful of me .

I also just found out this morning that my sil is pg with #2 and although i am so pleased for her, i am jealous and upset .

Im sure your relishing the pg symptoms ray even though they are horrible .

bubble don't lose hope xx
