sammysam · 17/01/2009 07:10

Oh and please don't congratulate me-i could have just been really stupid testing early and i'll feel so so so so if it's wrong-just needed to vent cos i'm so scared i haven't even said anything out loud-just showed dp the test he hasn't said anything out lous either

sammysam · 17/01/2009 07:06

Oh god I'm not going to get too excited as I have tested early (wasn't supposed to til tues) but I took a test at 6 this morning.......it says 'Pregnant 1-2 weeks'!!!!!!!!
I'm in shock. But I'm worried it could be a chemical pregnacy or it won't stick as this cold really is nasty and i'm coughingmy guts up now [lovely emoticon]

Please please please let af stay awayand let this baby stick***
If (please god) af stays away i'll test again on tues....
Please don't let me regret testing early

Fingers crossed, touch wood etc etc.
Oh my god

bubblebell1 · 16/01/2009 19:58

joy im sorry ~~again~~ that dp is away on crucial dates i do think that it would be nice to go with him tho. you could take a nice book and relax or have a spa treatment?? then when he gets back from a hard day skiing u could pounce??

Joy27 · 16/01/2009 18:05

OK so now my boyfriend is going away for work NEXT weekend: days 12-15 of my cycle.
May as well throw in the towel for this month eh?

Boooo.

When I (blushingly) revealed why I was sad he was going, he said I should go with him (is lovely European destination) so we can make a baby, but I think that is going just a touch too far...?

oneyummymummy you can bet your bottom dollar (most) men don't worry this much! Mine would think I was insane if he knew how much I worry about it.

oneyummymummy · 16/01/2009 17:54

I have been with DP for 7 years!! Feels like a lifetime tho! My cycle is all over the shop, sometimes 28 sometimes more like 38. But I got pregnant once so heres hoping it can happen again! I need to start charting it so I know exactly how long, doing temp thing too! Oh this getting pregnant mallarky is very time consuming and exhausting isn't it...Im sure men don't worry this much!

bubble I will try to look on ebay for them, I still havn't tested today, been too busy with work, but will prob do it tomorrow if still no AF, plus Im going out tonight, so might only have a couple of glasses of vino...just incase! But it does mean that I won't get to see DD until tomorrow morning and shes been with nanny all day today.... I know she has lots of fun, but feel when I leave her for so long! Although come monday I'll be hoping for a break, working full time and looking after her

bubblebell1 · 16/01/2009 16:59

im in hertfordshire.

kat hope your cat gets better soon.

oneyummy my tests were advertised on ebay buy now.. but bought through babymad search on ebay and then check the seller is baby mad

temping is a way of knowing when you ovulate.. same as checking your cm.. i joined fertilityfriend and it explains everything

sammysam · 16/01/2009 16:39

I really wish (and in mad symptom spotting brain i'm thinking it could) it is a symptom but in reality I think i just have a monster of a nasty cold
God you can tell i'm ill-yes ZITA WEST-what am I on?! She did indeed say that 9-10 days is the shortest needed for pregnancy but trying to increase it can't be a bad thing!

katster37 · 16/01/2009 16:30

sammysam do you mean Zita WEst? And also, is 9 - 10 days the shortest luteal phase where pregnancy can take place? please say that's what they said, it will make my weekend!!
PS you don't think feeling rough could be a symptom do you? (hopeful emoticon!)

AngelFairy · 16/01/2009 16:28

Kat... I don't know those places (hmmm...) but I live in a little village between Wetherby & Harrogate called Spofforth, know of it? Near your old place?
I love it up here too, mind you, most people do.
I try to convince everyone who visits to move away from a city to the country, so much nicer.
Thanks for adding me.

Aww, an eye infection, bless. I hope your cat gets better soon!

sammysam · 16/01/2009 16:18

......hi again! Managed to pop on again(getting a tad obsessed!)-i'm feeling so rubbish we may leave it til the morning to travel up-i'll see what dp thinks when he gets home!
I'm in Dorset and have been with dp for 7 years now. I grew up in Surrey and have a lot of friends living in London, but i'm a country bumpkin at heart now-don't think i'd survive living in the big smoke

Have just had my friend round who I just found out is 12wks-she is so excited now! Her due date is the day after my dds birthday and 4 days after her dds so it will be very strange... Was weird talking to her about all her hopes, excitement etc and feeling excited as well but then remembering that I wasn't pregnant {sad]

yummymummy-i was hoping it would just happen but it has been so long now-I think we've passed that

My LP is on the short side-it has been 10days but most recently 11. My acupuncturist has trained with May West (is that her name?) recently and 9-10 days is now the accepted shortest time... Iwish I knew what mine was before dd-if it was the same as now then I wouldn't worry so much

I don't think that anyone is crazy trying to increase their chances by popping pills etc etc-why not!? But that is coming from me

katster37 · 16/01/2009 15:36

Hi Angel I think this is up to date now, sorry for missing you off the initial list. Ooo whereabouts in North Yorkshire are you? I used to live in Kirklevington, nr Yarm if you know it? Love it up there.
Are we all glad it's Friday? I have to take my cat to the vets in a min, he has an eye infection...

Yummy... What's your cycle length? Good luck for the test, be sure to let us know !

I'm living in North Yorkshire if anyone dare venture near, but from Solihull originally x

AngelFairy · 16/01/2009 15:30

Boob... I'm on CD24, ttc#1, cycle1 and usually have a 28d cycle length.
How about you?

Actually, would ANYONE mind adding my stats to the list, as I only have web access via my phone right now??
Thank you x

How quick are we moving today?

BlackCherry · 16/01/2009 15:16

I'm in sunny Scotland. But I do have London connection.. My best mate lives there now(south east i think)so I'm down there quite a lot visiting; it's only an hour away on the plane!

I've been with dh for 5 years, he's 27.

Will have to pay attention to my luteal phase length this cycle. I think it's been ok, maybe 12 days.

katster37 · 16/01/2009 14:25

Ooo whereabouts, yummymummy? I am in Herne Hill area. Def join the mad obsessiveness!! I would ideally love to be calm and relaxed about the whole thing, but fear that since I've never been calm and relaxed about anything in my entire life, it is unlikely to happen!
Just looking to book a weekend away in a B&B by the sea for next month, in an effort to relax a bit. DOes anyone have any suggestions for nice quiet-ish seaside places not too far from London? SOmeone at work said Deal is really nice, but never actually been...> Soryr, bit off topic!

Sabs1981 · 16/01/2009 14:25

i'm from east london...

oneyummymummy · 16/01/2009 14:22

katster Oh I didn't realise, Im so not with all of this, I wouldnt even know how long bwtween my ov and AF or that I could make it longer if it was too short. I think I have a lot to learn about myself . It must be because Ive never had to do this before! Well I am noe officially one of the club...can I be obsessed and crazy with you guys?!

Oh Im from s.london too!

theboob · 16/01/2009 14:20

I am in sunnyBlackpool
I have been with my dh since school too

katster37 · 16/01/2009 14:17

yummymummy - seriously, I am just weird. It is because we have been using 'natural' contraception for years, so I had to know when I ovulated in order not to get pregnant, and therefore realised I ovulated only 8 or 9 days before my period, which is not long enough for an egg to implant. HENCE I am now taking loads of stuff to try and regulate my hormones and get that bit of my cycle longer. I am sure that for people with normal cycle, none of the cr*p I am taking is necessary at all, but I want to try and sort myself out without loads of nasty drugs from the Dr's first. Plus, the Dr won't give out medication until after a year so I thought I'd have a go myself first! If all that makes sense!
theboob yes, what a good idea to say where we all are! I am in south London, but originally both me and DH are from Yorkshire. We met at school... How about everyone else?

oneyummymummy · 16/01/2009 14:13

bubble just went onto babymad but can't find any ov or pg tests for as cheap as you mention....am I looking in the right place?
I am looking atthis page

lam are the ones from e-bay as good (dont really know why they wouldn't be, just feels like I might get ripped off)

lam81 · 16/01/2009 13:59

yummymummy,i'm using ov sticks that i got from ebay, but unless u really want to start all that then i wouldn't,i started off with just lots of bding but then since mc have become a bit obsessed, its easy to get too caught up in it all and it gets bit confusing 2bh and stressful!! i'm the same as u,thought because dd happened by accident that it would be easy, thank god for accidents!! x

oneyummymummy · 16/01/2009 13:51

angel I quite like the idea of a 'test' jar, you should go for it! I might test today as Ive been having crampy pains but AF not here yet, normally Cramps followed by AF straight away!

theboob · 16/01/2009 13:50

hi all angel what cd are you on? i cant see you on the list?

shall we all say where we live t might be a way to mak new friends we could all be closer than we think?
