bubblebell1 · 23/01/2009 18:36

angel thanks for the reality check and so jealous of your shopping spree.. we r so skint since xmas and its ds2s bday 2 wks today so saving for his pressies and party.

welcome VKFAB

Joy27 · 23/01/2009 17:06

Angelfairy- go girl with your shopping spree. What an excellent way to banish af blues. What did you buy?

When my boyf (not married) gets home I won't be able to jump his bones as our beloved but ttc-hindering weekday housemate (his family member which explains the ick factor) will be home and believe me our house is so small, it's virtually impossible to do anything, let alone THAT, without her hearing (and the neighbours, but I don't really care about that, they're always arguing anyway and have to listen to that).

However the housemate does go out once or twice during the week, at which point I will barricade him in the bedroom. Ha.

I have to say, I do find that ttc brings us closer together as a couple. You know what they say, when you do it more you want it more.. Certainly true for me! Er, tmi. But there it is!

AngelFairy · 23/01/2009 16:25

Well good afternoon lovely ladies...

I have been spoiling myself on a (already hidden bags from boyf) shopping spree in Harrogate! Whoop, whoop!
Sssshhhhhh........,

Welcome Verykeen!
Good luck on our VERY successful thread.

Yummy... SO glad you're feeling better. Hopefully the antibi's will kick your cycle into rhythm and you'll be all brand new and sparkly x

Bubble... Wallop! There's my reality check ;) You can't seriously be worried about BDing enough - you put my bedtime activity to shame! Ha...
I haven't felt like it to be honest, but as soon as AF came Bam!
You're going to be fine chickadee, just see x

Joy... Is you DH coming back Sun or Mon? I hope you're going to jump on him as he walks in!

Anyway, I'm off to hide receipts (joke). Much love x

Oh, I wasn't really eating cream cheese at a ridiculous hour, that would make me a fat pig...

VeryKeenForABean · 23/01/2009 15:09

Thanks everyone - I feel all welcomed!

For those that don't know me from previous threads, I am ttc after an ectopic last year that was treated with methotrexate. That's why I put ttc #2 even though I have no dcs. Have had the all clear to try again so we are giving it our all! Hopefully this thread will be lucky for all of us!

OYM - it doesn't help that I bought 20 tests on line, at least when they were expensive I had that putting me off!

I am going to try not to test over the weekend and reward myself with one on Mon if AF hasn't come to stay. Thank you for the support

Best extra sparkly baby dust to all x

I meant to say
So that was fun but pointless ttc-wise*

Joy27 · 23/01/2009 13:24

Hello verykeen welcome- there is room for a little one here- in fact lots and lots of little ones, when we all get knocked up. Which we will goddamit! We've already had some successes, hurrah.

bubblebell it sounds like you have BD-ed plenty. We've only managed it on CD2,4,8,10 and 13 (not focusing only on fertile period as I want us to have sex for enjoyment not just making babies!). Next week we'll probably up the total a couple more times.

This next part is a bit : We also did it on CD9 and 11, in an attempt to ignore the fact that our housemate (a very close relative of his) is on the other side of a thin wall- normally we don't BD when housemate is there- which is 4-5 nights a week so not much fun at all!

But, ehhhh, both times he, er, found he couldn't, well, finish, as the thought was making him feel a bit iffy. So that was fun was pointless ttc-wise.

So my rather tmi point is that I too don't reckon we've done enough this month. But am much comforted by the story of a lady on here (gah, can't recall name off top of head), who bd-ed once during fertile time as she and her dp were both ill... and got a bfp.

There's hope for us all!

yummymummy what a horrid time you are having. Hope you get your dratted af soon so you can start afresh- or even better, get preggers before af has a chance!

oneyummymummy · 23/01/2009 13:02

Hi verykeen I love your name

I think that you should have to fill out a questionaire at the till, and your only allowed to buy tests if your AF is actually late. But then again, that would spoil all my fun!

Welcome aboard VeryKeen! You'll find plenty of support here.
How long have you been ttc?

Good luck trying not to test!!

VeryKeenForABean · 23/01/2009 11:19

Hi Guys, can I join in? I know I'm late but have been womanfully avoiding ttc threads in an effort for it not to take over my life - hasn't worked!!

I am trying to sit on my hands as AF due Mon and have done a couple of sneaky tests already - I need support!

Any room for a little one? x

oneyummymummy · 23/01/2009 09:33

i dont know about you all but i just feel like it will never happen. with both ds' we decided we would have a baby and just bded daily until it happened dh doesnt seem to want to bd as much as me (maybe im just sulking coz he has been ill for 2 days)so far this month we have managed 6,8,10,12,15,and 17. i cant help feeling that it isnt enough

sob story over sorry guys

Joy27 · 23/01/2009 09:11

Hope you're feeling a bit brighter today yummymummy Angelfairy I'm ages away from testing. CD14 for me today and my partner has conveniently left on a work trip for the weekend. Ho hum. BD last night so we'll see. However, I haven't had any ewcm whatsoever this week, so I'm not sure I'm even in my fertile period. We'll see.

Am really trying to be more relaxed about the whole thing though. I don't like the thought that I'm becoming a mumzilla!

AngelFairy · 22/01/2009 21:15

Who else is testing soon?
Excuse me, I have a mouth full of cream cheese

bubblebell1 · 22/01/2009 15:37

oneyum i never went back for a scan...the pain stopped after a few days so just left it. i will go back if it happens again tho... i hope your feeling better xx

theboob · 22/01/2009 15:21

oneyummymummy i hope your feeling beter soon and its not the worst case for you ,thinking of you x

oneyummymummy · 22/01/2009 14:34

Thanks for all your kind words. I think im just shattered and in pain, so feel even more miserable than normally would! Hopefully get a little more sleep tonight.

Good luck blackcherry fingers crossed it your lucky month.

bubble that sounds horrible, did they still do a scan? I think you can still have AF even if you have got cyst.

angel I hope so!

Oh oneyummy I hope things turn around for you soon. It sounds so frustrating.

As for me, I'm coming up to estimated ov time and bd'd for first time this month last night.
I haven't been temping or anything just noticing (or trying to notice) my cm and I used an ovaluation calculator. This one www.baby2see.com/planner/index.html Don't know how accurate these things are but fingers crossed.

AngelFairy · 22/01/2009 13:50

Big hugs Yummy.... There's obviously a rather special baby being created for you, which needs a little extra time. This is just a stalling method I reckon x

Joy27 · 22/01/2009 13:32

oneyummymummy hang on in there. Surgery is worst worst case scenario here. As bubblebell says, the doctor didn't give you any definites. Can totally understand how fed up and you feel though. I think you deserve a massively treaty weekend: shopping spree or lovely dinner out with bubbly wine, or if you're credit crunching, a dinner cooked by your partner, a massage and a lovely long bath or five.

Hugs

bubblebell1 · 22/01/2009 12:08

oneyummy my last cycle was 68 days... but new years eve i got the most horrific pains in my lower abdomen.. it felt like stabin pains in my uterus. i was taken to hosp and given pain meds told to have scan when dept opened after the newyear break and low and behold... on the 4th jan AF arrived!! they too suspected an ovarian cyst or ectopic but as AF arrived i put it down to bad period pains. i hope you get some closure soon.. even if af arrives you can get started on next month

dancingqueeen · 22/01/2009 11:45

oneyummymummy, i'm so sorry to hear that, keeping my fingers crossed for you that it is just a bladder infection, in which case hopefully the antibiotics will make you feel more comfortable quite soon. she did just say a possibility of a cyst, so it might not be, I know its easier said than done but try not to get too upset about the 'worst case scenario', because often it doesn't turn out that way (i know, i have twice worried when the doc said i 'might' have something nasty and it turned out to be fine). anyway, I hope they get to the bottom of it and start to make you feel more comfortable soon

oneyummymummy · 22/01/2009 11:36

Got back from docs, she said a possibility of a burst ovarian cyst, but shes not sure as could be a bladder infection. I think that ive got both, the backache and pelvis pain is probably the infection and the stbbing pain i had inside my pelvis was something different. Any how I have some antibiotics now, so I will take them and see. The niggly pain ive been talking about was obviously a cyst (it did feel like ovulation pain, and similar to when i was first PG with DD on one side) Then last night it obviously got worse.

She also did a Pg test too just to be sure and it was -tive, so no chance im PG, just got to wait for AF now! I obviously didnt o this month either Why do these things only happen when you are TTC?! If it doesnt get better they may have to operate (possibly remove whole ovary)
