Hi Rtuff Everyone is impressed with fertility friend so far. I did sign up myself, but to be honest I havnt really used it yet. Everyone else seems to live by it....it might be worth a try if you havnt already!

Some of the other ladies on this thread know a lot more than I do, Im new to all this TTC stuff, so learning it all myself.

Good Luck

Morning ladies, it is so good to catch up on all your news - ANt congratulations, this sounds so promising!!
yummymummy aaaw at your DD and the 'noman'!
My school is closed today, hoorah! It was shut yesterday as well although actually I couldn't have got there because there are no trains/buses/tubes! Am just gutted that DH has managed to get to work today - we had a lovely day in the park yesterday, and BD-ed (not in the park!)
Am actually managing to feel a LOT more positive this week although v confused as I have had + OPKs Sat, SUn, Mon AND today... I have never managed to get a + before, so was initially pleased but am not sure what 4 in a row could mean. Esp as I normally OV on CD 18 ish and today it is CD 22 and still getting +s. Grrrrrrr. I also read a string of positive OPKs could be a sign of PCOS which is a bit scary.
Right, hope you are all enjoying the snow. It's gorgeous and sunny here, I want to go out!

oneyummymummy · 03/02/2009 09:36

Hi ant and sammy

Still lots of snow here, going to go out with DD in a bit again!

Sammy I can remember the sickness with DD, I had the type that went as soon as I ate something
(I suppose if your gonna have it, its the best type to have) And I suppose with your second, youve still got to look after DC#1 . At least when its your first, you can have ly-in's and veg on sofa if you need to!

sammysam · 03/02/2009 09:19

Hi ladies-just checking in to see how you all are!?
I'm still sending you lots of positive vibes....
I'm still terrified not helped by trying to sort out my first apt with the midwife and her saying we have a while to sort it out and that often it's best not to do it too early as it is tempting fate [worry]
I feel like absolute crap though-morning sickness has kicked in in full force from the moment I wake til i go to sleep...... I remember it is bad but not quite this bad-at least with dd I had the mornings feeling ok
Keeping my fingers crossed for you all x x x
Ps I'm loving all the gorgeous snow

Antdamm · 02/02/2009 11:51

Hi yummy,

I am in Ireland - its bucketting down now - dp had to leave car on hill as road was too icy to travel down!! I have made a snowman, angels, pile of snowballs for dp's return and now Im warming my soup up for our lunch

I am really tryin not to get my hopes up about the pg - I know the second I do, it will go horribly wrong

oneyummymummy · 02/02/2009 11:46

Congrats ant sounds like you are PG!

Loads of snow here, been out in it with DD all morning! Shes tucked up warm in bed now!
Where abouts are you?

Antdamm · 02/02/2009 10:06

hey ladies,

Hope you had a nice weekend. Its snowing here as i expect it is in uk.
Over the last week, i had some brown blood and what i thought was spotting, but was only there when i wiped (TMI) - twice. So, today i took a test - but i think i managed to bugger it up or it was a dud again.

I peed into a cup - plastic not drinking- and dipped hpt into said pee and waited 6-7secs and put cap on. I lay the test down flat - a really really feint line appeared in the first window and then 30secs later the control line appeared.

So, again I have to buy another test just to make sure!!!
I dont feel pregnant - no symptoms to speak of really - except from feeling a bit sleepy. When i was pg with my son, i didnt have any symptoms til i was 14wks - which is when the ms kicked in. Up til that point I just took the hpt's word for it.

oneyummymummy · 02/02/2009 08:15

SNOWED IN! But I work from home so

Still going to make a snowman or 'noman' as DD says!

Got my diary out, plotting all CM, mood change etc etc... so hopfully be more aware of whats happening this month!

Good luck everyone.......happy snow days....

bubblebell1 · 02/02/2009 07:53

morning girls! god what a day yesterday... still trying to recover.

Well...... cd30 today and no bfp and no af... had an awful feeling this was going to happen gonna wait a few days and go back to the dr. fingers crossed its not a 68 dayer like last time.... xxx

how are you all?

its been quiet here hope your all ok xxxxxx

lam81 · 01/02/2009 03:13

hi bubble good luck for monday doll!!!keep us up dated, have u got any symptoms?

i know testing early is such a stress its really not worth the trauma but so hard not too,i'm going to a spa day at a really fab place up near me on monday, hoping it wil ease the pain of af arriving, cant wait, would sril rather be pg tho

baby dust to all x x

bubblebell1 · 31/01/2009 08:41

O Lam, im sorry that witch got you. and im sprinkling loads of babydust for this cycle.

i always try not to test early but im terrible. i tested last wkend and then again during the week, im not even due af til monday!!!!! we can hold hands together again for this cycle. we need all the support we can get xxxxx

lam81 · 30/01/2009 21:45

Hi guys
didnt need to do another test af arrived yesterday so i'm out for this month, feeling not as bad as i thought i would about it,its funny cos i was really down about it last month, trying hard to stay hopeful tho for this month, good luck to everyone, hope the next lot of testers bring us some bfps,i'v decided next month i'm goni waste no money, time or energy testing early and wait for af to be late before i test!!haha who am i kidding xx

oneyummymummy · 30/01/2009 17:07

OH NOOOOO! I knew you could get it in subsiquent PG's but thought it would maybe be better or at least not start earlier if you are a healthy weight. I know its to do with the ligaments, but obviously the weight pressing on this makes it worse! Well I still want to loose weight, its healthier for me and baby!

bubblebell1 · 30/01/2009 13:45

yummy ive read that spd is worse in subsiquent pregnancies regardless of weight. but if being smaller makes you feel better in yourself it can only be a good thing try not to worry.

oneyummymummy · 30/01/2009 12:50

bubble sorry to hear that..at least if you were having some symptoms you could know either way! It seems like it has been a weird month for a lot of us! Maybe there is something in the water....

I hope you get BFP or Af soon, so you don't have to wait for a long time again.

Im starting to worry a bit now, as I wanted to loose some wieght before falling PG again, so have been trying to loose weight and TTC but not loosing as much as I thought I might! It is all my own fault, DD is 18months now! I was a size 8 before falling with her, now Im a 12, not that Im massivly overweight, but would like to start this PG lighter, so that I can try not to get SPD again, as this was horrendous last time, and what with weighing more before falling Pg this time, I think this would be even worse .

bubblebell1 · 30/01/2009 09:53

Morning girls,

how are you all? all pg/af symptoms have gone. now have a sinking feeling that my af wont show for 3 months like last cycle and am confused and upset.

why / how can your body change so dramatically. i concieved 2 healthy children so quickly and am reeling at the fact ive only had 1 period since october so how on earth am i supposed to get pg?? sorry for the sob story.

Joy27 · 29/01/2009 18:18

Oh antdamn your poor DP! Hilarious though.
Would love to have been a fly on that wall

bubblebell1 · 29/01/2009 15:41

on the first response test it says can detect hcg from up to 6 days before your af is due but only 50% successfull. clear blue from 4 days before.

i dont know wether i was late or not when testing with the boys so gonna wait til next week and test definatly no more early testing.

Joy27 · 29/01/2009 15:28

I don't want to get your hopes up either, but I certainly don't think all is lost. AF arriving is the proverbial fat lady singing- ie it's not over until af turns up!

But seriously, I wouldn't even think about testing before my period was due (well, I would think about it A LOT but wouldn't do it). In fact I would always wait until it was at least a day late to test.

I actually thought you couldn't get a result before your period was due, but I am quite a novice so may be wrong.

I really hope this doesn't raise false hope.

Antdamm · 29/01/2009 15:24

Hey all,

My DP went back to the chemist with the hpt!!! And guess wat ??
He got the money back!!!! I would have been way too embarassed to do that lol.

Anyhoo, Ive had some spotting (which I normally never get with AF) so I guess im out, just waiting for the real thing now.
I feel a bit better about the whole thing after talking it out with my DP - he told me to act less like a crazy lady wen a test didnt go my way

joy I would prefer another DS, since i was wee I have always wanted a boy, wen i found out i was pg I was dreading it being a girl, but like you im not sure why. I think boys are a little less work. Also, im not a fan of 'madams' which most of my nieces and friends dd's are.(when they reach a certain age) Im sure i was an angel at that age too

yummy I live in Ireland, we find that shopping here(our options are tesco and Dunnes) is too expensive and we always drive to Northern Ireland, so we can shop at asda and sainsburys, but im not sure if they have a Morrisons - will have to check. Thanks

bubblebell1 · 29/01/2009 15:08

do u think???? dont wanna get my hopes up.

Joy27 · 29/01/2009 14:41

Agreed bubble- there is definitely still time! I wouldn't be surprised if a BFP didn't show until your af was due.

Keep the faith!

oneyummymummy · 29/01/2009 14:28

lam thanks I'll have a little look at that site tonight!

bubble sorry to hear about your BFN. Theres still time though.

joy I would definatly prefer a boy, as I already have DD. However another DD would also be just lovely (I dont have a sister, so would be nice for DD to have one). Thats why Im trying to BD as near to Ov day as possible to increase chances of DS instead of DD.
