hi, im 23 dh and I have been ttc since september, am now 12 days late but have cramps like af is going to come. Dont want to test cos I have had this before only to get my Af the next day, plus it upsets dh every time we get a BFN as he is longing for another child. it is so fustrating. Ds was a lovely suprise, didnt find out I was pregnant til ten weeks gone, so never had the anguish of trying before.

SuziBhoy · 11/03/2009 20:56

good luck joy

Joy27 · 11/03/2009 18:48

Hello Antdamn! Pass the cake, yum. Sorry af is playing you up again You sound quite cheerful though. Happy birthday to your dp.

Oi, early testers, no! Put those tests down, that way madness lies. Wait til you're late.

Speaking of madness, mine is starting to descend. Am now on Day 31 which, although, have told myself that there is no chance this month, is starting to ring little hopeful bells in my head. 31 tends to be my longest cycle length, so if period is still absent by this time tomorrow I'll be officially late and officially obsessing.

No doubt I'll be on here tomorrow morning whingeing that af has arrived...

Antdamm · 11/03/2009 15:35

Hey ladies,

Well, I have returned from Bonnie Scotland to Dreary Ireland . Have just been catching up on the posts. Congrats to Amyboo!!! We needed a BFP to keep us going.

Fairyanne - sorry to hear your news. Hope you are doing better noe.

How is everyone else doing? Any news?? Anybody on the 2ww??

I have had an interesting time of late - re AF. When we went to Scotland she had been finished for a few days but then came to visit again!! on 2nd March. I dont know why - she just about ruined my hols. Anybody had experience of two visits in a month? Is she just making up for last month when she didnt turn up at all??

Anyhoo, hope you are all good. I've been a bit bored since we returned, I wish we had some decent weather so I could take DS to park. We have to resort to making cakes and biscuits cos we are so bored. not so good on the waistline i'd imagine.

Today is DP's Bday, he is the ripe old age of 24!!!!

SuziBhoy · 10/03/2009 18:02

i have decided not to buy any tests until i am actually late..... how much patience do i have.... but i wonder if it will actually last

Rtuff · 10/03/2009 15:42

I'm also in my 2ww got 8 or 9 days to go!! I keep looking a my Clear blue test desperate to use it but know it'd be pointless now... However i do have cheapie ones that i am very tempted just to waste 1! Also just found out SIL is preggers i have the same feeling as you Joy27 really pleased but completely jealous!! I'm just hoping i'll be able to join her soon!

Bubblebell1 · 10/03/2009 11:59

Hi joy fingers crossed af stays away and you get yourself a bfp..ive spoken to loads of ppl on here who feel that they are not in with a chance and end up with a bfp... so im hoping your 1 of them.
well im now in my 1ww and i bought 2 first response tests... bogof at boots. i am NOT going to use them for atleast another twoweeks week.

how is everyone..?

Joy27 · 10/03/2009 10:40

Hello Suzi and Award- welcome and good luck.

I've been away with work (again) for a few days so have missed out on all the posts. How is everyone?

I am on CD30 now and fully expecting my period to start either today or tomorrow. For one thing, I feel fat and tearful; for another, I know that circumstances conspired against us this month.

A friend has just announced her pregnancy. Pleased for her and all that. Totally jealous though.

Anyone else at the end of their cycle/tether?

SuziBhoy · 09/03/2009 11:35

Hi award, the feelings you are getting could be your body getting back to normal after your MC.... it takes a while for your body to return to normal after MC as everything in your body has moved to make room for the pregnancy and now the pregnancy isnt there, your body will be trying to return itself to normal!!

if your worried about it ask you GP for some advice aswell.

Bubblebell1 · 09/03/2009 07:45

Morning all!

Sorry Award i dont know what it could be.. hopefully someone will be along that has experienced the same thing.

Did you all have a good weekend?

award2812 · 08/03/2009 12:26

Hi bubble, I hope I get lucky too and that we all do! am a bit uncertain too but hoping that if I don't get BFP this cycle that I at least get AF so we know where we're at.

I'm getting sharp pains in my right side (my ovaries I think!!), occasionally but rarely left too, and was hoping it was a sign I was ovulating but it's lasted a week now. Anyone any clue what it might be? I'm hoping it's not an infection after mc?

Baby dust to all x

bubblebell1 · 07/03/2009 18:24

Hi girls!

hope your all having a good weekend.

Ray Im good thanks. im on cd18 and on the dreaded 2ww. i hope ov is near. Then we can be on the 2ww together

fairy i too was told that i would be more fertile in the cycle after mc but i dont know why. my mil said its because 'i got a good clear out' Im not pinning my hopes on concieving this month tho. BUT for the first time since starting this ttc lark in oct i got a +ive opk. i know i ovd before as i was pg so must of but im hoping its a good omen.

suzi i hope your lucky this cycle is this your first since your mc?

Hi and welcome Award. sorry to hear about your mc i hope you get lucky on this thread

SuziBhoy · 07/03/2009 16:56

hi ray... i have a cycle of 37 days, its a nightmare being so long. good luck with all the bding

sorry to hear bout your MC fairyanne, i was told after my MC that it should kickstart everything meaning more fertile in the months after MC. not quite sure if its true though as i fell pregnant and it turned out to be ectopic, then concieved 5 months l8r and i MC.... so i think its probably different with everyone.

award2812 · 07/03/2009 16:46

Hi all

I know I've missed a lot but can I join??!

I am 29 years old and came off the pill in November. I mc 2 weeks ago so am now ttc #2 now. I am on the ttc Dec babies thread but I like this thread too as the people on it will be with you even if you don't ttc for a dec baby!!

fairyanne · 07/03/2009 15:02

Hi everyone,

I need to catch up on the thread properly but Hi to Suzi and baby dust to all those on 2ww.

GP rang and confirmed that the blood tests showed I have had a MC. Not a big surprise given the bleeding. DH and I are gutted but are trying to find the positives from it in that we know now that we can conceive to some extent and there is no reason at the moment why it can't happen again. Plus its not been that long really since we started TTC. Bleeding has eased a bit now so hoping it won't be long and we are going to continue trying.

Does nyone know why you are supposed to be more fertile after mc (just reead a previous message)? If its true I'm hoping that would be the case for us but there is no guarentees on this rolleroaster.......

ray81 · 07/03/2009 12:54

Hi suzi how long are your cycles normally? sending lots of Babydust your way and hoping you are lucky this month.

My temp dropped yesterday so think Ov must be near although have been doing OPKS and nothing so far. If the last time i was on clomid is anything to go by i should Ov around CD14 which is 2 days away have been BDing like mad !!!

Bubble how are you? where are you in your cycle is it the 2ww now.

Ray waves to everyone else hope you are all having a nice weekend.

SuziBhoy · 06/03/2009 17:36

hey bubble, thanks......

im on CD 25, so in the 2ww now....... ive started to track my cycles a bit more now, so hepefully i dont have to wait as long as i did the last time!!

good luck to everyone else

bubblebell1 · 05/03/2009 19:03

Hi Suzi, nice to see you again..... im sorry to hear of your mc.

will you be staying with us til you get lucky again?

what cd you on now? long to wait til you find out for this cycle?

Glad your well.

SuziBhoy · 05/03/2009 18:56

hey everyone

wondered if i could join?? im 23 and ttc (very impatiently) #1.

bubble hey i remember you from another thread from a few months back (october thread), i was in the same position as you back then.... waiting and wondering..... im so sorry to hear you had a mc... i did too thats why i disappeared for a while.... couldnt face it... but trying again now!! apparantly you are more fertile after mc, so good luck in your 2ww.

ray81 · 05/03/2009 17:48

That is confusing considering you have had +ive on the opks. Perhaps in a few days if you have has enough high temps it will detect it. Just keep Bding until it does!!

bubblebell1 · 05/03/2009 17:23

yeah we did it for the last 3 nights in a row. and i had a dip in temp on day 14 and its risen a little but ff not detected ov yet as not enough high temps. tis all toooo confusing.

ray81 · 05/03/2009 17:12

Bubble, my cycles went right back to normal after my Mc too and yes you are meant to be more fertile but it has never worked that way for me.
You are meant to take temp after 3 hrs of consecutive sleep or at least thats what it says in the book i have but if you have had a +ive on the OPKS and your temps now risen i would have thought it is ok. Did you do alot of bding?

bubblebell1 · 05/03/2009 17:02

Hey Ray and Joy

Ray, glad your ok. My ds2 is still sleeping with us and sometimes im awake every 30 mins or so thru the night. i still take my temp. is that worng?? It is always at the same time tho. I got a +ive on my opk on days 14 and 15 and today cd16 its -ive so i guess im in the dreaded 2ww. I didnt think i would ov so soon after the mc but some ppl have said that you can be more fertile in the month after a mc... is this right?

Joy i will def join you with the 'no symptom spotting'

xxx

ray81 · 05/03/2009 10:59

Joy i'll join you on the no symptom spotting and i ill not believe i am pg until i have 18 days of i high temp or a +ive test. Im fed up with getting my hopes and then them being dashed everymonth. It gets tiring.

Joy27 · 05/03/2009 10:38

Hi all,

Ray, sorry you are feeling so fed up. Your pain could well be tension/stress- it's so bizarre how ttc turns something that should be enjoyable into something which is at times so difficult and clinical.

Fairyanne how are you feeling today?
What about you bubble?
And where on earth is everybody else?!

I'm on CD25 now and quite enjoying not feeling the nervous hope I normally do at this time of the month. Since I'm pretty sure we can't have conceived, I'm not on tenterhooks this month.

Also, I did a little experiment at the beginning of this cycle: I imagined that I was at the end of my cycle, and I managed to spot 4-5 pregnancy symptoms just through the power of my mind. Now, there was no chance whatsoever that I was pg at that time, so it just goes to show that symptom spotting is a waste of time! So have decided, short of actual vomiting, I will henceforth ignore all tummy twinges, nipple fizzles, tiredness, dizzy spells and phantom metallic tastes, until a test tells me I am knocked up.

Anyone care to join me?
