Hello.. Anyone fancy joining me?! I ovulated over New Year and hoping, hoping, hoping to get a BFP in a couple of weeks!

I just had a weird experience at our local toddler group (to which I took DS2 this morning). I knelt really hard, accidentally, on a play dough cutter and it hurt my knee so much I literally saw stars and was on the point of fainting when I got slowly better. That is so weird. Isn't feeling faint a symptom?? Or am I totally plucking?

irishmumwannabe · 08/01/2009 11:17

Oh Becky stop tempting me to symptom spot - I've got a snotty nose, and am a bit blocked up too. God I coudl be you know - but the snotty nose is probably the flu that's going around the office.

I had a weird dream about work last night too .... (irishmum might be buying an early hpt on the way home)

On the ewcm question, I'm not sure either but do feel quite randy as well when it's around (DH doesnt' complain about that). The best thing to do is as blondie says - try frmo cd8/9 - cd/16 (if you have a fairly normal cycle) and then you should be in with a chance.

blondie80 · 08/01/2009 10:46

congrats bethyrose!! hope all goes well for you. xx

aideesmum, if you just get at it from cd9 to cd16 that's your best chance!

this tww is driving me crazy!! and i'm heading on hol this sunday so don't know whether or not to bring a clearblue with me or not cause af will be due while i'm away!!

BeckyBendyLegs · 08/01/2009 09:17

I don't know the scientific answer aideesmum but I always feel much more up for a bit of rumpy pumpy on the days I start getting 'fairy snot' so perhaps that means ovulation. Before this time round of TTCing I didn't use tests to find out when I was oving and I just relied on my body: got pregnant three times that way!

Wind is definitely a symptom. As is (TMI alert) being a bit blocked up. Also a snotty nose is a symptom. Having strange dreams. Unsettled sleep. The list is endless. Anyone suffering from any of those? I had very bizarre dreams last night but it might have been the curry I had for tea, which also gave me indigestion!

aideesmum · 08/01/2009 09:07

Hi all,

I'll join you as really hoping for a BFP this month.

Can anyone tell me that when you start seeing the clear egg-white like discharge are you actually ovulating on that day? I've had it for 6 days now and not sure when I actually ovulate? Please educate me

Thanks

turtle23 · 08/01/2009 08:58

Hope nobody notices I'm here other than you lot!! Hi, am really hoping that this will be the month for a DC2. I'm due on the 19th and trying not to get my hopes up....

irishmumwannabe · 08/01/2009 08:43

Gosh my spelling is atrocious - that's what I get for being on this in work and hoping no one looks over my shoulder - no one here knows I'm ttc.

Sorry for teh spelling. I'bve made a NY resolution to spell better on Internet forums.

irishmumwannabe · 08/01/2009 08:41

bethyrose that's absolutely briliant news - so glad to have one BFP on this thread for a starter - hopefully we'll get a few more now.

Becky that's interesting what you said about indigestion and wind because I had the worst indigestion ever a few days ago. Now it may be just cos I ate something that didn't agree with me but I never get indigestion.

As for breaking wind - lets just say that I have been trumping a little more than usual (sorry if TMI) - I'm in sympton spotting hell - I've to wait until Sunday or Monday - (Irishmumwannabe steps away from the hpt)

Anyway - welcom to whatsfortea, ilovebingamummy and blondie - hope this one is eth right month for you all

Bringon hte BFPs.

BeckyBendyLegs · 08/01/2009 08:16

Oh my god! Congrats bethyrose!!!!!

It's too early for me to test yet. AF not due until a week on Monday.

Hello Ilovebeingamummy, I am trying for number three too!

I heard yesterday about someone who was in my year at school (a long time ago) who has just had her sixth baby. This was quite amazing enough except that she has now got six boys and says she will keep going until she gets a girl. Oh My God!!!!

bethyrose · 08/01/2009 06:58

Hi everyone.
Ilovebeingamummy, bendylegs, florence, littlemiss and whatsfortea, so sorry to hear about your mcs. Keeping my fingers crossed for you this cycle.

Well, I cracked this morning (dpo10) and did a test......BFP! I daren't put a smiley face, as it's such early days so I'm very nervous about mc. Hope the little one sticks. xxx

whatsfortea · 07/01/2009 22:55

Hi all, can I join too? 2WW started yesterday/today I think, so sounds like I am slightly behind some of you, but would love some company to obsess at the slightest little symptom with!

I'm ttc#1, had MC in September, so on Cycle 4 since then, hoping for a lucky one this time!

Ilovebeingamummy · 07/01/2009 22:42

obviously at my essay not bluch LOL

Ilovebeingamummy · 07/01/2009 22:40

hi all

hoping for an early september baby really - 12th to be exact

we are on cycle 4 of ttc number 3 - got pg in sept and nov but btoh ended in mc at 6 wks. I guess at ov using ewcm as guide (well it worked...!) and think we did enough during late dec to get pg if I ovulated post mc.

Feeling v pg like some of you ladies - very tired, achy, nausea (much more than with the mc's). Also gave up bfeeding ds (23 mths) when 2nd mc happened in case it was interfering with implantation so I am holding out hope for this month.

I can even see DH is beginning to hope now...(ob he is v nervous and being a man, finds it hard to talk about the mc's)

I have been having 34 day cycles though so now on CD32 (had clearblue bfn yesterday but midday urine) so am waiting (impatiently) now to see what happens

Sorry for the essay I needed to share all that [bluch]

Hope some of us are lucky this month ladies xx

bethyrose · 07/01/2009 21:59

We need to keep a sense of humour with this ttc business. I would be cracking up if I didn't!

It's funny how (funny strange, rather than funny ha ha) that when ttc DD1, I'd never even heard of temping, ovulation tests, dpo, luteal phase etc. If I had have met me now, I would have thought I was a nutter. We just bd'd happily for 8 months, then lo and behold I began feeling knackered and a bit sick, so bought a test (BFP).

Anyway, day 9 dpo today. Will try to hold off until day 14 (Monday) to test, but know that I'll crack and do one on Saturday or Sunday. Maybe I'll put the tests up in the roof space out of reach.

BeckyBendyLegs · 07/01/2009 16:51

I hope everyone here gets lucky this month though

To think chances are one of us is preggers!

BeckyBendyLegs · 07/01/2009 16:41

You both make me laugh! Which is really what I need. I am eating more at the moment too bethyrose but that is only because of all the chocolates in our house at the moment...your banana bread sounds nice though

How about indigestion? In the past I have always had really bad wind and indigestion during the two week waiting time when pregnant and last time I started eating cucumber like a mad thing when previously I hated it (strangely I still like it even after not pregnant any more).

FlorenceB · 07/01/2009 15:19

That should have been so want to be a mummy - oops.

OP posts:
FlorenceB · 07/01/2009 15:16

I 'listen' to my body all the time... I feel that I can't just relax, enjoy BD and be calm about TTC - I have had cramping (more on the right side) since ovulation but in the past I have had premenstrual aches from the point of ovulation until AF arrives, so I know that that's not always a sign..

My boobs aren't sore but I am weeing more often..?? I don't know! I just want to sleep and not wake up until the 16th! .

So want to me a mummy.

bethyrose · 07/01/2009 15:02

I'm VERY good at symptom spotting, BendyLegs. My latest symptom is increased appetite, absolutely nothing to do with the banana bread baking in the oven.

BeckyBendyLegs · 07/01/2009 14:35

I really hate the waiting bit. You feel fairly normal so you just don't know and every twinge, every slight sign of a symptom such as achey boobs, funny taste in the mouth, etc and you think 'oooooh I must be pregnant!' Then the old AF shows up and its back to square one again.

blondie80 · 07/01/2009 14:18

can i join? ovulated new years day so will be testing about 19th. have been ttc for 18mths+ now. on 4th clomid cycle. so fingers crossed for all.

bethyrose · 07/01/2009 14:08

Hi Ladies,
Can I join in? We've been trying to conceive for 6 months, although have only had one AF since coming off the pill. I started charting 54 days ago, and ovulated on 29th December. We bd'd on the 27th and 28th, so fingers crossed we've been lucky.

The 2ww is so hard! I have a load of cheapy tests, so it is very tempting to start weeing on the sticks. I've even been looking at other peoples charts on the fertility friend website to see the earliest dpo when the lucky pregnant ones got their BFPs. I may have to hide the tests in the roof space to keep them out of reach until 14 dpo !

LadyMetroland · 07/01/2009 13:38

Hello - I ovulated on the 4th so will be testing around the 18th. That would make it a late September baby I think. This is my second month of properly ttc although i've been charting for 5 months. Also used OPKs this month which I found very helpful. Last month I was slightly gutted not to be pg as I naively thought that I'd get the duff first time. Silly me. So now I'm here again - but I think we timed it a bit better this month. We only did it twice, but I definitely know we did it on the day I ov'd, so fingers crossed.

Good luck everyone.

BeckyBendyLegs · 07/01/2009 13:17

I hate the ttc lark too. It's just too stressful. With my first DS I just came off the pill, we just carried on as normal having sex whenever and I fell pregnant 7 months later. Had the easiest pregnancy ever with no sickness or anything and then had a baby! Easy. My second pregnancy was easy too except ended in MC at 12 weeks and third pregnancy easy with a DS2 making his arrival. This time around it seems so much more difficult. Fell pregnant in Feb last year hoping for #3, felt horribly sick, MC'd in May. Devastating. Been ttcing again ever since. I hate the peeing on the stick thing and then 'oooh we MUST do it tonight!' pressure. We only managed three days (same days as FlorenceB) this month but there's no way we could have managed more than that in a row!!! Let's just hope we're all lucky this month

littlemiss26 · 07/01/2009 13:03

Florence you sound like me I started trying in august and fell in october - had an ERPC for mmc on 22nd dec - i was 10weeks. have been doing ov sticks and think i might have ovulated yesterday but not sure as the line wasn't really dark. I hate this ttc malarky - just want to be pregnant NOW!
