Ha ha... Amanda, I reckon you've covered all bases. Did you notice any ewcm during your 14day marathon?

Cazza28 · 22/01/2009 15:45

Catz I know, I couldn't help it when Mr Postie arrived with my parcel (grin) Deff going to get digital if the witch doesn't show on Monday!

amanda12 do you know when you ovulated? Sometimes you can ovulate late but going by text book rules, LP of 14 days you should ovulate day CD16 of a 30 day cycle (people correct me if I am wrong) so fertile up to day CD17 I think.

amanda12 · 22/01/2009 15:12

Hi all
Some advice please im cd19 cycle is usually 30 days give or take a day or so. Can i stop bding we have done it for the last 14 days in a row and quite honestly i have had enough and need a night off!!!

Catz · 22/01/2009 14:45

Hi All,

Cazza - I thought we were waiting till Monday! Sorry that things are getting you down. Angelfairy, really sorry to hear that AF arrived. Hope that you're enjoying the wine and soft cheese!

If anyone is thinking of getting expensive/digital tests, I did a Sainsbury's online shop the other day and they have money off clearblue pregnancy and ovulation tests. They've also got half price on pregnacare vitamins. I guess the same offers will be in the shop. I splashed out and got a two pack of clearblue digital with conception indicator for about £10, which is not cheap but better than full price. You can probably get cheaper on the internet but if you want one now you might want to take a look.

It arrived yesterday but I've not tried one yet (Catz polishes her halo!). AF due somewhere between Mon and Thurs so I will try to hang on till at least Monday....

smallone · 22/01/2009 12:24

Hi ladies, just wanted to post to say that I am reading the board and I am thinking of you all, just not posting much. Well done BFPs and chin up AFers.

I'm on CD12 and so far have managed CD6 and 9, should have BD'd last night but neither of us could be bothered! Not ov'd yet according to persona, but its looking likely in the next few days so am going to have to get the lucozade in. Had a really hormonal day yesterday, and today really. Do you think its possible to have Pre Ov Tension?

Went to the Gastro's on Monday and they're testing me yet again for coeliac and have told me that if its pos they'll have to put a camera down and do a biopsy and if its negative they'll put a camera up to see what else is going on. OH JOY!

Haven't mentioned through all this that we're ttc, so not sure now whether it makes a difference.

idreamofbeanie · 22/01/2009 12:20

dancing queen and girl- keeping my fingers crossed for you this month, you never know. My DP was also working away the week I ovulated so only managed to BD on days 11, 15 and 16. It must have been enough though. Also I should be 4 weeks pregnant and I don't have any symptoms (boobs are a bit sore but might just be from me poking them to see if they are tender yet ). In fact I don't feel different at all which makes it quite difficult to believe the BFP, well apart from AF staying away.

cazza - I used a first response test on Monday and got a very clear BFP then bought a digital test to use at lunchtime and got a second BFP. On Tuesday I got some cheapies delivered - they should be very sensitive but are just those strips rather than a stick IYKWIM - and thought well I might as well give them a go. I could barely make out the second line even holding it up to the light and tipping it so I'm not convinced they are the best if testing early. I would give it a few days (not that I managed to wait!) and try a digital test.

Right, going to have some lunch.

Hi to everyone else

dancingqueeen · 22/01/2009 11:40

hi, i've been away for a bit as not holding out much hope for this month, and trying to distract myself, but congrats theboob and idream, v pleased for you both! and keeping my fingers crossed for cazza28...

planing on testing saturday as my cycle is normally 30-32 days, just trying to find the strength not to test sooner. not hoping for much this month though with dh being away a lot and it being a pretty stressful month. plus absolutely no symptoms, even imagined ones (!) to 'spot' this month...

girlwithacurl · 22/01/2009 10:30

thanks cazza that makes me feel better, just need to keep telling myself the same! guess i will find out for sure in 12 days! I am not the most patient person at the best of times!

think my DP would think I had gone mad if i tried to get him to poas...

Cazza28 · 22/01/2009 10:05

theboob you are funny! made me chuckle, thanks for your answers! I dont think my DH will let me do that? an idea though!

girlwithacurl the day of the positive opk and the night after are menat to be the best I think your timing was spot on!

girlwithacurl · 22/01/2009 09:55

theboob i can't believe you tested DH, what if it had been BFP!!!

I am so annoyed, going to join the grumpy corner! I think we might have missed the window, which seems mad as we BD'd loads, but think we started too early and were too exahusted to keep going . I got the positive OPK on Sun so BD'd Sun and Mon, but didn't last night or Tuesday. DP refused as I told him I was sore and he didn't want to hurt me. Got loads of EWCM yesterday (tmi sorry) so really confused as this is 3 days after the positive, think my body is playing games with me, wish it would be on my side for a change!

sorry, just feeling at the moment as I have to wait another 6 weeks with my stupidly long cycle (sorry eeyore know its not as bad as for you, don't know how you cope. It will happen for you though, it took ages after I came off the pill to settle down! never going on that evil thing again! )

theboob · 22/01/2009 09:21

sorry AF got you aidees >>

cazza28 no you could only see it in natural daylight, moving it around and it nearly touching your eyeit was hardly there at all really but i tested dh wee and compared them lol

AngelFairy · 22/01/2009 09:16

Aidee... Sorry AF got you, chin up chick x We'll get her back this time!

Cazza28 · 22/01/2009 08:49

theboob when you say faint could you see it from an arms length away? I think I may get a difital if AF dosen't arrive Monday (They are so expensive!)

aideesmum · 22/01/2009 08:46

Well I'm out for this cycle as AF arrived last night so disappointed. This gets harder each time.
Was so upset last night and not feeling much better today but must pick myself up AGAIN and wait for ov time.

aideesmum ttc#2 cycle 5 cd2

theboob · 22/01/2009 08:31

cazza28 i used the ebay ones and only picked up the faintest line,i bought a more exspensive test and got a BFP,so did a digi and got pregnant 1-2 weeks
i did another ebay yesturday out of curiosity and still only had a faint line although darker than on sunday,i think the ebay are made to drive us insane!!!
hope you are all well today, hope your cycle sorts itself out soon eeyore
babt dust to you all *

Cazza28 · 22/01/2009 08:22

Morning All,

Feel a bit more human today although it is only 8am. I think I was just being the bitch from hell yesterday! People were eating too loudly and trying to talk to me (would you believe it! (blush) I am hoping I am going to be nice today as my colleagues will never talk to me again!

E-Bay cheapies arrived yesterday and course I had to test. There was the faintest faintest line if you held it up to the light and angled it slightly! (Oh dear) So still taking that as BFN. Has any one use the 10miu ones, early detection? Any comments would be appreciated.

Big Hugs to all not feeling at there best! x

bubblebell1 · 22/01/2009 07:53

morning girls!

some of you sound so down so i am sending you all hugs.>

eeyore i really feel for you. it is so hard not knowing.. is this your first cycle since stopping the pill? sometimes it can take a while to settle.. dr didnt reassure me much just said af will arrive when she does (der we know that) and sent me for a bloodtest to see if i was pregnant and tests wernt picking it up. i just planned what i would do once af arrived. i ordered pre seed online, some more opks and hpts then just waited... and waited and waited...maybe your body tried to ov at day 14 but didnt manage it and tried again more recently... def do the hpt coz you could still fall pregnant before your af rears her ugly head. good luck xxxx

MMM don't stress it. each pg is different. it's stil early days so more nausea will follow i expect

homeinthesun don't put yourself down like that. dh goes away for the weekend and i'm a wreck by the end. you deserve a medal. now go and buy yourself some choc

angelfairy sorry you have your af. maybe change your name so your initals aren't af too?! still i hope you will take full advantage of soft cheese eating and wine drinking until af leaves!

i felt all weird at p&t group today. after telling you lot all off for syptom spotting i was convincing myself that i am pg. lol.
think i might buy a test tomorrow. don't know when i'll test though. have some friends coming to stay next weekend so i'll test before then as we will be drinking if i'm not.

eeyore2 · 21/01/2009 20:09

Hi all. Well, I'm away on yet another business trip, and starting to get a bit down about it all. DC57 just seems so ridiculous! It seems like so long ago that I stopped taking the pill. I have promised myself a pregnancy test on Monday which will be two weeks after I got my positive OPK, but am not really holding out much hope considering I also got a positive OPK atCD14 but never got an AF after that. I just wish I could see a nice regular pattern and that I had a decent chance of getting pregnant every month or so. I keep having thoughts that this will go on forever, and I'll never ovulate, even though I know that's unlikely. I'm trying to decide how long I would need to wait withough having had an AF before I go to my GP. Bubblebell, how did you cope when you were having the same problem?

MissieMoosMummy · 21/01/2009 19:46

Hello again!

Big contratulations to Theboob and Idreamofbeanie I'm so very pleased for you!

Very sorry to hear AF caught you Angelfairy, I was feeling quite hopeful for you when you mentioned the twanging.

I have my fingers crossed for all you entering your 2ww - it is a really fustrating time isn't it? at least beforehand you had scheduling the bd'ing to give you purpose.

yeah cazza28, why are you angry?

Been trying to re-engage my brain for several days, but I'm still a complete basket case. After doing a little happy dance around the bathroom when I got the BFP, I leapt onto DH to show him the result. He gave me a That's-great-but-why-are-my-eyes-open-at-6am-on-the-weekend? kind of look, so I went and woke up DD to tell her the news. She didn't find it nearly as interesting as her porridge. So with no one else to tell, it has started to feel very unreal again as I have almost no symptoms at all.

I get the odd wave of nausea, but it's very very mild. Now don't get me wrong, I really don't want the kind of permanent monster nausea & vomiting that I had for 7 months last time, but I can't help feeling that beenie isn't terribly strong if it isn't putting out enough hormones to make my life a little uncomfortable. I have always been rather sensitive to the stuff (I can't take the pill because even the smallest dosage gives me raging ms) so feeling hardly anything seems a bit suspect.

This is leading me into some rather obsessive behaviour, such as..er.. strapping my thermometer to my hand at night so I can check my temp is still high first thing in the morning . I have also been using up my cheapie HPTs, but they still don't show a bfp line, and the other clearblue digital took ages to register a bfp this morning (2nd pee of the moning). I thought HCG was supposed to double every day, so why is it still so weak?

I have been very good with my diet, not a scrap of overprocessed crud has passed my lips for more than 2 weeks and I like to think this is the reason why I have huge amounts of energy, rather than lack of beenie viability.

Anyhow, sorry about the essay, just needed to vent a bit. I really just meant to add my name back to the graduate list (hope my missing name is not an omen)

Thanks Bubble... like a lot of people, I find FF difficult to use. I wouldn't mind temping, to make sure I was ovulating, but my boyf would think I've gone mad, waking up to with a thermometer in my mouth. He wants it to happen naturally...

I'm in a grumpy mood Joy. Just because um hormonal for all the wrong reasons.
I've just had rubbish food for dinner (fish&chips) and now wish I'd have bought some chocolate.
Cazza... Come and join us on our grumpy mission!

All those on your 2ww, you could be on cd1 with tummy cramps! Boo...

Joy27 · 21/01/2009 17:20

Hello, I've been lurking around and posting on another thread... but just wanted to say hi and congrats to idream- that is fantastic news! Quite a successful thread indeed.

I'm a bit bored of this month too girlwithacurl. Only on CD12 so technically should be in midst of frenzied "activity". But our living situation means we're rather limited as to when we can do it, so I'll have to make do with just CD10 and CD13 this week. Anyway have no sign of any EWCM or indeed any CM. And bf off on a work trip for a few days at the end of the week. So I'm already writing the month off a bit. Bah.

Anyone else sitting in Grumpy Corner like me?

girlwithacurl · 21/01/2009 17:10

Finally in the 2ww... great...
bored of it already.

cazza28 why so angry?
