Oh villagemum, huge hugs to you and your dp . Nothing anyone says can make it better, but I hope that you know how sincerely our sympathies and best wishes are.

Tentative congratulations to C1NDY, completely agree with your caution. Hope that the witch knows when she's not wanted.

Hi all, I did a test this morning... and yes it was a BFP. But AF is due on Thursday, so will only update the list, once I know she will not be turning up - it may be a chemical pg or something (but I didn't take any drugs i.e. cough mixtures even though I was sick! Here's fingers crossed that everything will be okay

VM - I replied to you on the other thread

Life is just so cruel sometimes

VillageMum · 24/01/2009 15:24

Bad news I'm afraid, ladies. We had our second scan at 9 weeks today and there is no heartbeat now. I will be having an ERPC next week, not sure what day yet, will be speaking to the consultant about it tomorrow. Please think of us. I may not be on here for a while as I just need to be able to come to terms with this second mmc on my own. Thank you all for having been there for me. xx

funtimewincies · 24/01/2009 12:11

Thanks smiley, feeling a bit better this morning although dh took a bit of a verbal pasting yesterday . He's a bit non-plussed, as it's usually me who is determined it will all work out, so roles were a bit reversed! How are you feeling at the mo?

Also came on to see if there was any news from C1NDY [hopeful emoticon]...

smileycat · 24/01/2009 09:07

Funtime so sorry she got you again, sending you a great big bar of dairy milk & a bottle of vodka to wash it down..big hug

C1ndy ANY NEWS?????

funtimewincies · 23/01/2009 18:38

Ooh C1NDY, expecting a definite, absolute BFP tomorrow !

AF has finally arrived, so much relief all round that I'm not having a ludicrously long cycle but feeling really about the whole TTC thing and my usual bright-side approach has completely deserted me. I'm very grateful for ds, but I so badly wanted another baby and it really does just seem that it isn't to be.

Need booze.

smileycat · 23/01/2009 18:00

OMG C1ndy I would say a +ive is a +ive no matter how faint the line is, but as the others said do it with your first wee in the morning & you should get your answer

Wasabi big hug

Wanabe I did this pg thingy nearly 11 years ago now so it really does feel like the 1st time again for me & with so much more info around its amazing whats out there, good & bad........... every pg is different & you can easily get very wound up reading too many of the wrong types of stories. I read everything I could get my hands on in the few couple of wks & scared myself silly but now I just stick to the stage I'm at now & read the good stuff

Joolsiam · 23/01/2009 13:54

Oh and Wanabe - I'm a complete novice aswell - am just going by the 11.5 weeks of pregnancy that I know about, but you learn quickly

I loved being on the antenatal forums, as you got so much good advice and hand-holding there as a paranoid first-timer.

There was also a thread for first time mums expecting Spring babies. When I left there, I told them to look out for a thread I intended starting for first time mums expecting Autumn babies

Joolsiam · 23/01/2009 13:51

C1ndy - the month I got a BFP, I realised half way through the 2WW that I was completely out of pads, and ended up buying loads as there was an offer on - I thought then maybe it was a sign - you know like if you don't take an umbrella out with you, sods law says it will rain but if you do take one out, you won't need it ! iyswim

OK, I am rambling now, so will go have some lunch

wasabipeanut · 23/01/2009 13:50

Buckle up Wanabe - it's a hell of a ride!

C1NDY · 23/01/2009 13:49

Pezzina thanks, I have three tests (2 cheap one's from Boots and 1 First Response) and will no doubt use them all over the weekend, coz as you probably worked out I have no patience at all!! But still early days... I know... lets hope that if I am this bean sticks around!

OP posts:
WanabeMum · 23/01/2009 13:24

OMG jools that's so cool! It's still very strange for me at the moment and I've only just realised how clueless i am! I'm pretty clued up on the ttc lark but when it comes to pregnancy and babies ..... eeek!! lots to learn!

C1NDY · 23/01/2009 13:10

Jools I am laughing now, seeing as I ordered all that low calorie food - may still do it as you never know!! its healthy and I will add more fruit and salads

Wasabi thanks for your kind words especially at this difficult time for you. (BIG HUGS). Its way early for me, so who know if the egg will bed etc... but just want you to know that I am still going to stay on here even if I get a BFP and I am going to ensure that everyone on our list graduates!!!

I love you all for your support, goush I am so teary now... but thank you everyone!!!

OP posts:
Joolsiam · 23/01/2009 12:51

Well that would mean you have a chance of seeing the heartbeat at an early scan in two weeks

WanabeMum · 23/01/2009 12:48

So that works out that I'm 5+2 then. who knows??

Joolsiam · 23/01/2009 12:27

Wanabe - GP's calculate from the first day of your last period, but that assumes you have a 28 day cycle and ov'ed around CD14

If you don't have that sort of cycle but know when you ovulated, I'd just go back 14 days from that date and count from there

WanabeMum · 23/01/2009 12:19

Ooh C1ndy that sounds hopeful!! It's true, you can't get a false positive on a pregnancy test as it only picks up the pregnancy hormone. If I were you I'd wait until maybe next Tuesday and test again. I got my BFP a day before AF was due!

Aww Queenie I'm sorry you're feeling so blue. Men have a knack of making us feel miserable sometimes. Try not to let this be the deciding factor thoug. Me and my DH argued really badly at one point and we decided not to be so rigid with TTC this month. We relyed totally on my Clearblue fertility monitor. When it said Peak, we BD'd and boomb I now have my BFP! It can happen when you least expect it. Keep positive honey xxx

Ladies, a quick question ...... how do i work out how many weeks i am? Is it from the date of your last period? Getting confused!!

queenie1 · 23/01/2009 11:55

cindy - this is great news! Particularly as it's coming from a first response which I believe is better for early testing that clear blue. Clear blue, being blue, is more prone to evap lines than first response. I'm very excited for you. Agree of course that it's very early but it seems as if you are PG. Here's to hoping it implants nice and strongly and you get a darker line in a few days time.

sorry to hear you're feeling so low wasabi. It's only natural, particularly if there's lots of blood loss which is a constant reminder of what you're going throuh. But as jools says, better that you bleed like this sooner rather than later so you can put it behind you more quickly.

Despite being sure I have now ov'd already (probably 3dpo) you may recall my wanting to grab DH in case last night given that night before he stayed out on a huge drinking bender. He arrived home at midnight, stressed and in a foul mood and made it very obvious he couldn't deal with any pressure / hassle from me to BD. He snapped before I'd even opened my mouth which set me off and we had the worst row I think we've had in months. TTC is really taking its toll on us given that the journey has been so long and difficult. I'm feeling so overly tired and emotional today because of this. I'm so hoping I fall PG this month. The way I'm feeling right now, don't think I / we could take another month of this pressure. Sorry for self indulgent miserable rant...it's just good to get it out to people who'll listen / understand.

C1NDY · 23/01/2009 11:48

Hi all, I can't believe it been looking at the test for what seems like forever. Its early days.... I think I am 8DPO or even 11DPO, as I remember having a very strange month last week and may have ovulated early. I remember sticking to the DP and bd on day 8 and my OPK was bright red on day 10 which was odd... so I carried on testing, hence the test performed by my Scientist Wasabi my OPK still showed positive. I am not getting my hopes up as its very early days, I will only get comfortable once AF date has gone and that is next week Thursday!!! so have a long time to wait.

I understand wasabi because we are a team and we know we are all struggling and that we will be here until every single one of us has graduated whereas it almost seems as if other people in real life get pregnant without trying that hard (though they probably are and we don't know about it, or maybe they are on MN without us knowing). xx

wasabipeanut · 23/01/2009 11:25

Thanks for the hugs Yellow. Feeling a bit better now - C1ndy's news has cheered me up actually. Funny how one persons pregnancy (fingers crossed) can make me feel more positive yet another persons who I already knew about can make me cry when actually announced.

Very odd.
