Welcome kitty, good luck with TTC and you'll find the ladies on this thread nice and friendly and not easily shocked (except me, I'm scandalised at the slightest thing ...and I'm not that nice before AF is due ).

Sorry, I'm in a funny mood 'cos I'm ordering a shed for my veg patch!

wasabipeanut · 27/01/2009 13:30

Welcome Kittycat - good luck with your ttc. If you have just come off the pill you might find it happens very quickly - there is a bounce that lasts for about 3 months post pill apparently. Worked for me with my ds - he was a one month wonder and honeymoon baby! Sadly his brother or sister is proving a little more challenging....

Yellow -sorry that the witch got you - it was sounding so promising! Interesting that acupuncture could have had the effect of reducing your cycle length.

Queenie - we have high hopes. No pressure

Thanks all for your encouragement re ttc again so quickly. Bleeding has drastically slowed today thank god although haven't done a pg test to check hormone levels. Have got a clinic appt at 3 so they should do that there. I haven't had any mad tearful moments in last couple of days so assuming they are dropping very slowly which is a bit of a PITA. Hey ho.

Off now to check out Funtimes question - hope everyone has a lovely day x

C1NDY · 27/01/2009 13:18

Yellow sorry to hear AF has arrived. It was sounding very promising!

I am waiting till Thursday... every twinge I get I am wondering if AF is going to show!!! Word of advice.... never test early!! take it from me its torture!

Kittycat Welcome, this is a lovely place here. I am not sure how long it will take you but you will get good advice here. Firstly, you may like to try the Deanna Plan (DP), good reading on the following website : www.pregnancyloss.info/sperm_meets_egg_plan.htm

then you may like to go to the Fertility website to chart your cycles found on : www.fertilityfriend.com/

When you are ready update the list with your name on it and expected AF date.

I hope this helps.

Regards
Cindy

Aww yellow so sorry the witch got you this month! Drink lots of cranberry juice but not the juice drink (too much sugar). It's really good at relieving the symptoms of cystitis/UTI's.
Take care honey xx

kittycatcat · 27/01/2009 12:26

Hello, can i join in? I was trying to read through the entire thread but was only 13 pages in after an hour or so ;) so have no idea what is going on. He he. Congratualtions you all of you who have conceived and good luck for all those TTC. I have only just come off the pill. Was on it at 15 and will be 34 in August. We are expecting it to take a long time but if it doesn't it will be a very pleasant surprise.

yellowflowers · 27/01/2009 12:09

I hope so funtime - I really thought this month might be it! And the funny feeling and needing to wee is still there so possible I have cystitis too. Gah!

funtimewincies · 27/01/2009 11:49

Sorry to hear that yellowflowers.

Right, you and I are definitely getting a BFP next month!

yellowflowers · 27/01/2009 11:37

oh no - just went to loo and period started - pink/red blood, not spotting. first time in long time a period with no spotting first - possibly because of acupuncture. Am really disappointed! It's started at either 11dpo or 9dpo depending on whether me or ff right about ovulation.

Not even going to speculate on implantation bleeding because if it was then the other things I've been having (weeing a lot, smelling perfume etc) wouldn't have started yet anyway.

Bloody mind games again!

C1NDY · 27/01/2009 10:37

yellowflowers fingers crossed... it sounds promising. let us know if you have any other pg symptons?

Funtime will go over and see if I can see your post

funtimewincies · 27/01/2009 10:10

Please could you do me a favour and have a look at a question I've posted on the conception bit? Rather than post twice, I put it there so that I had a the best chance of people having the same/similar experiences but nobody loves me . It's to do with my periods since having ds and the mc's.

Thanks lovely ladies and fingers still crossed for yellowflowers.

yellowflowers · 27/01/2009 09:51

Am update - slept really badly and then temp was mid table - neither particularly low or high, but starting to feel like I might start spotting later. Wail... I hate not knowing what is going on. I did wee on a first response this morning and it was negative - but am only 10dpo (according to FF)

yellowflowers · 26/01/2009 23:41

haha queenie - yes I am trying to persuademyself thatnot feeling pregnant is a sign!

We went to our local pub tonight - I had 2 pints of shandy which I suppose is a lot volume wise even if not alcohol wise but went to the loo 5 times in three hours!! Though maybe because I was thinking about it.

Also on three separate occasions I smelled women's perfume in shops today and thought that it was very strong - maybe it was strong but not something I usually notice.

But temps not particularly high and some twinges that suggest spotting will start soon.

hmmmm.
x

smileycat · 26/01/2009 18:41

Yellow at about 7dpo on my pg month I got a couple of sharp pains in my lady regions, I remember asking anyone if they had had anything similar...so could be a sign

Wasabi if you & dh are ready then go for it

WanabeMum · 26/01/2009 18:38

Oooh C1ndy that's so exciting!!

Wasabi If you feel ready then thats when you should try. Don't stick to what people say to make their lives easier, if there is no health risk for you or your bean then why not go for it?

Jools you don't need to get a life. My life is totally wrapped up in all the TTC and PG stuff. It doesn't change when you get your BFP as you know! I've been over to the antenatal thread to tell them all my news! Too scared to go over and talk regularly though until 12weeks so will just watch

Plus this year (so far) is turing out to be a fantastic one! We had a letter through from the luxury hotel where we got married inviting us for a complementary overnight stay with use of the spa & leisure facilities included because our 1st anniversary is coming up! How fantastic is that? Me being a little sceptical rang up and she hs booked us in on the saturday before (7th March, anniversary on the 9th). I'm so pleased can hardly stop smiling. May my good luck continue and some of it rub off onto all you lovely ladies!!

C1NDY · 26/01/2009 18:14

Wasabi if you want to try straight away go for it.

There are a lot of stories out there with women who have conceived after a MC and their babies have been fine - so go for it.

This month I used preseed, as Villagemum recommended it - perhaps all you ladies should give it a try its a wonderful product... I honestly believe it helped me to conceive (well we will know on Thursday for definate) seeing as I will be hitting the big 40 in March!!

OP posts:
Joolsiam · 26/01/2009 17:26

Wasabi - on the TTC after MC front - I'd just go for it - take advantage of the apparently increased fertility post MC

Have your hormone levels dropped yet ? All I'd suggest is making sure that PG tests are showing a BFN with FMU before you start TTC, otherwise you could end up in a situation where you are cautiously celebrating a "new" BFP that is just old hormones.

I was simply told they like you to have one AF for dating purposes. You do run the risk of getting dates wrong and having loads of worry if the new beanie is not the expected size at an early scan and you have to go back in a week.

My GP said - well dating is what dating scans are for !! You could deviously argue that, if you have no idea of your dates, the GP might be more inclined to send you for an early scan.

queenie1 · 26/01/2009 16:55

yellow - isn't feeling very unpregnant a sign!?! xx

Joolsiam · 26/01/2009 16:55

Hi Wasabi

I've never used OPK's because I always get very convenient ovulation pains over 2 days - and I'm sure that I conceived before by BD'ing within around 4 hours of first feeling ov pains

I always get 3 - 5 days of EWCM, so if this is an early run-up to ov, I should hopefully catch it. Am getting ridiculously excited at the thought of possibly ovulating earlier and starting the 2WW earlier - I need to get a life !!

Fingers crossed for you YellowFlowers

yellowflowers · 26/01/2009 16:38

I reckon i can legitimately test on Fri if no af by then... but I am not really hopeful - I actually feel very unpregnant!

queenie1 · 26/01/2009 16:23

ooh yellow - sounding promising for you honey. How long til testing time??? All my fingers crossed that this is your month. x

I can't remember if I'm 6 or 7 dpo but I've had heartburn, boobs that feel very big / full, have headache and am in a very emotional mood today. Last two things, of course, can clearly be explained by the shit day I'm having at work today...but I can't help hoping that maybe they're all symptoms???? Guess I should wait another week though...oh, I CAN'T STAND IT!!!

wasabi sorry to hear about the heavy blood loss. Hopefully you're through the worst of it now? In terms of ttc after MC I would just go for it as soon as you feel ready. This was the advice of my friend's gyney who she saw after having loads of MCs. Apparently you're more fertile immediately following a MC. Many doctor's do advise waiting a month or two but I think that's more about a) making it easier to date the new PG; and b) encouraging you to be in an emotionally strong(er) place.

wasabipeanut · 26/01/2009 15:18

Hello, I'm here. Been rather hectic today. DS only nodded off at 2ish but it still napping happily in his room leaving me plenty of catching up with MN time!

Not much to report today other than flipping nightmare this morning with another flood of blood and god only knows what else while I was having breakfast with ds and then taking delivery of a hie car. Aaaarrrgrghhhhh. I went through 2 pads in about half an hour and was terrified I was going to bleed all over this hire car. Bloody nightmare. Literally. Seems to have calmed down again now thank god. That has to be it noe surely????

Jools - You need to get some OPK's hon. Your cycle sounds a bit out of sorts still and OPK's were the only way I got a handle on mine after we failed ttc for several months. I was oving later than I thought and I am convinced a lot of other people have this without realising. Enjoy your fancy pants hotel!!

Yellow - don't want to get your hopes up but in my BFP month I felt a slight soreness in my ladybits - perhaps similar to that after having had a good seeing to after a bit of a break!

Sorry - I am TMI woman today.

So ladies, what's the verdict on ttc the month after mc? I know I said I was going to wait one cycle but dh and I are both having second thoughts.
