Wasabi The whole experience of a MC is not pleasant so my thoughts are with you. Have you stopped bleeding? Will you start counting from the first day you started bleeding as CD1??

Wasabi Try Vaseline Intensive Care - with the 50% notice that says it softens hands and strenthens nails - I swear by it... you will have long nails in two weeks or my name is not Cindy!!

Kittyc@t I am 39 but will be FORTY in March Not that old i guess I have a DD aged 2 and 6 months... so hopefully if this beans sticks there will be only 3 years and 2 months difference between them - not that I really care. I have sisters who are older than me by eight years and we still get on like a house on fire.

Queenie Honestly, try the preseed i really think it helped this time around. VillageMum recommended it to me this month and I tried it and hopefully the BFP will stick!! big sigh roll on Friday!!!!

Thanks iggypiggy

iggypiggy · 28/01/2009 11:18

kittycat I am 33 in exactly one week - and I feel like am too old somedays and quite young on others!

I completely failed on the post pill bounce cos I came off the pill in Oct 2007 - didn't use contraception in Nov and Dec that year - but then my (now) DH proposed and so I use contraception right up until just before the wedding last year.. I was on it aged 18 to 31... So now have been ttc for 5 months.

kittycatcat · 28/01/2009 10:31

Thanks Wasabi

queenie1 · 28/01/2009 10:28

wasabi - good to hear you're feeling positive about ttc again.

xxx

wasabipeanut · 28/01/2009 10:27

Kitty if it makes you feel any better we concieved my son 2 months before my 34th birthday. I'm now a few days away from my 36th and hoping for 2009 to take a turn for the better.

kittycatcat · 28/01/2009 10:24

C1NDY would it be rude of me to ask how old you are? And will this be your first DC? You may have said before but sooooooo many posts ;) i am 33 - 34 in August, and also incredibly impatient ;)
[hugs] Wasabi!

queenie1 · 28/01/2009 10:23

cindy - bless you! but breathe deeply!! You are PG!! And you've had such strong lines!!

Thanks for reminder about pre-seed. If the witch does pay a visit next week I'll definitely order some more (annoyingly I did this a couple of months back but it never arrived!)

wasabipeanut · 28/01/2009 10:20

C1ndy - I am one of the most impatient people I have ever met so I can sympathise wholeheartedly! Lets just hope Friday rolls around quickly for you. I have a good feeling for you this month though I really do. PS. I have no nails either - they never even get long.

Queenie - got you! My dh NEVER managed a schedule like that. I think the last time we did it twice in one day was on our honeymoon!
I can understand you not wanting to get your hopes up and being only 7/8 days po is a difficult time. So many hopes, so little ability to do ANYTHING about it. We all have our fingers crossed for you.

Well, clinic appt was a bit of a non event. They tested my wee which still came up BFP which is unsurprising at this point. I had some blood taken to check hormone levels and have to call them tonight for results. If they are dropping they will assume complete miscarriage based on the clinical explanation I gave them. Quite glad I don't have to have anymore scans. Not pleasant to have that probe thingy confirming that yes, actually, there is nothing there.

Dh and I just want to get cracking now on ttc again. Hopefully not long to wait now.

On a positive note this is my last week at work. Hooray!!!

C1NDY · 28/01/2009 10:14

I don't want to go on about it but you all should try preseed its wonderful. I really honestly believe it helped me this month. Do give it a go even if its only for a couple of days, especially if you are an oldie like me!!

Queenie Today I am trying to actually do some work. I am so behind... boss is out of the office so want to get as much done today so that I can take it easy tomorrow and Friday.. I have chewed all my nails as I keep thinking about tomorrow... I hope AF does not arrive. Goush, why do I not have patience, if I had waited I would still have my georgous long nails!! Roll-on Friday!!

Hi all - just been reading back on your posts.

Firstly, welcome kittycat - this is a great thread and will be great to have you on board! Let's hope, for you, that you get lucky on your post-pill bounce. I'm almost starting to think about going back on the pill for a couple of months so I can benefit from a bounce!

yellow - I'm so, so sorry to hear AF got you. Like you and the others I had a really good feeling for you this month. Hugs to you. How are you feeling today?

cindy - am sure you'll make it to Thursday. Your strong BFPs are such encouraging signs.

wasabi - thanks for the high hopes!! Not sure how I feel about it this month - as ever, could go either way (obviously!). We did a load of BDing this month: CD 7, 10, 11, 13, 15, 17 (twice), 19, 20 but annoyingly not after that. I got my LH surge on CD 19 so hopefully caught it? I'm now on either 7 or 8dpo. I've had all the things that could be seen as symptoms over the past few days - sore, full boobs, cramping, slight feeling of nausea (which I've not had before), headache, heartburn etc. But I now from bitter experience that these can just as easily be explained by an impending visit from the witch...so I'm trying not to get too excited and trying not to set myself up for a fall (though as I inevitably will do, thank god you are all there to catch me!!).

How is everyone today?
xx

OP posts:
C1NDY · 28/01/2009 08:31

Spats I am on the October due thread, but goush have not committed to fully posting there as I don't want to jinx it. Have today and tomorrow to go before I know AF has come and gone!! I am 4 weeks today according to FF Pg webpage.

OP posts:
spats · 27/01/2009 16:44

ust checking up on you all. Reading about AF coming still fills me with dread. I rememebr each month thinking how the hell do people get pg everytime i did the first wip of AF. It does happen though when you least expect it. I do feel for all of you as its the most out of control i have ever felt whilst ttc. You have absolutely no control over it and its so frustrating. I am over on the antenatal grapefruit thread but not on lots as only 7 weeks so don't want to jinx me and bubs. However someone posted something today saying after 6 weeks risk of m/c goes down to 7 % which is good news.No sickness yet but have a feeling it may come from anytime onwards as getting ocasional feelings of it. Won't complain though as this is what i signed up for!! Fingers crossed and babydust to you all.

iggypiggy · 27/01/2009 15:38

queenie how are the symptoms? Anything to report?

iggypiggy · 27/01/2009 15:34

oh yellow - am so sorry the witch got you... felt sure this must be your month. Like funtime says - def next month

Interesting what you said about AF - cos I never get spotting - just straight into the main thing - do you think that's a good thing then? Mine doesn't drag on wither - I get 2 heavy days, 1 medium then a light ish day then is all gone..

I just 'know' this month is not the one for me... We hardly BD'd at all and I have no syptoms at all. Not even one.

Welcome kitty - I find this thread excellent support - everyone is lovely

funtimewincies · 27/01/2009 15:06

Jools - you might be in luck, although I doubt that they'd be so baby-like now . Mine were ready October-ish and I'm still harvesting them as-and-when. Let me know if you find them!

Joolsiam · 27/01/2009 13:59

Very interesting about the spotting Yellowflowers - I had that last year - a brown spot or two one day, then nothing for up to 48 hours, then a day of brown spotting before the main event. This last AF seems to have reduced the amount of spotting.

It had previously made me wonder about my luteal phase - I used to go to 13DPO, but with spotting seen at 10DPO. This last AF, first spotting was seen as 11DPO, so maybe one day longer ...

yellowflowers · 27/01/2009 13:51

Hi kitty and everyone else - kitty do add yourself to the list (find the most recent one and cut and paste it into your entry and add yourself).

The acupuncturist said last time the aim in order to get my periods as good as possible was to get my periods from spotting for 2 days with brown blood before full flow to starting red and with a flow so that seems to have happened. So fascinating. Have another appt on Thurs so will quiz them then

Joolsiam · 27/01/2009 13:48

Oh, forgot to say welcome Kitty

You don't have to be mad to post here but it helps

Funtime - I just remembered I planted out baby leeks at some point late Summer - do you think there is any point going outside to investigate ? !! I have no idea when they should have been ready, but am guessing it was before now !!

Joolsiam · 27/01/2009 13:46

Sorry its not your month YellowFlowers You work so hard at all this, it simply must be your month soon
