Yellow I'm so sorry I didn't respond to your post. Sorry to hear that you got the BFN. I guess if nothing happens then perhaps try one of t he internet tests in a couple of days - not much else you could do at this point! It's so bloody frustrating isn't it? It's good that you have a busy day lined up.

It will happen for you soon I am convinced xx

Joolsiam · 29/01/2009 09:52

Thanks for the support - tis good to feel my reaction is not completely unreasonable.

Wasabi - I think you she either doesn't know or doesn't care about how her actions affect others, as long as she gets attention, praise, congratulations etc. I can see that she is permanently logged on, just looking at the thread she has started and waiting for responses. She has now said she thinks she is 5 or 6 weeks, is seeing a GP today etc - but surely if you are on a cocktail of meds, you speak to your GP and have a plan to come off them as soon as you get a BFP, not after the drugs could have done some harm

This may be a good thing for my employer - think I'll take a break from that site for the day and get on with some work for a change !!

wasabipeanut · 29/01/2009 09:45

Oh jools darling I can totally see why you are upset. I don't know what to say really it's a difficult one. You say that this girl has experienced mental health issues. Is it possible that she just doesn't understand the implications of how she posted - both for her and for you?

kittycatcat · 29/01/2009 09:41

hi Joolsiam,[BIG HUGS]. i can see how that must have made you feel. Very insensitive of her, and it's not right that she has made you feel like that. x

Joolsiam · 29/01/2009 09:31

Tearful rant coming up:

I've just had a massive kick in the teeth

I help administer a chat board to do with my main hobby and love - told very few close friends on there when I was PG and, after I miscarried, decided to tell everyone - I got good support from some who had been through it and others just didn't know what to say, or couldn't comprehend what it meant to me.

One person has just announced today to the whole community that she is a few weeks PG - says she knows it could all go wrong but she wants to tell everyone. This girl is a serial attention seeker - never responds to anyone elses messages but just wants people to respond to her and make her feel the centre of things. She has mental health issues that are now under control and I am really trying to be happy for her but just can't bring myself to post on her thread and I know if I don't, she will either privately ask me why, or put up some public message about how she hopes I can be happy for her etc etc. It is difficult to explain, but I feel that the way she has presented her news and worded her post is belittling what I have gone through and I just want to pick up the silly cow and give her a good shake. I don't think she has any concept of the enormity of what she is doing and what could go wrong

Sorry not explaining myself very well, but if she does direct any messages to me, I've got a feeling my response might get me banned from the site

wasabipeanut · 29/01/2009 09:17

Ok, so are we allowed to get excited about C1ndy's BFP now?

yellowflowers · 29/01/2009 09:09

Hiya cindy and queenie

Well temp back down a bit today though still above cover line but proper bleeding still not materialised. Have acupuncture this pm though with fertility specialist again so will talk to them too.

FF says today is 11dpo and I think it's 13 dpo (because temp rose for two days then had one day of dipping then rose again so FF took the second rise but I think it's the first rise as that correlated with ewcm).

Actually not feeling too sad today whereas usually when spotting starts I am devastated- but I have a hugely busy day today.

Cindy - everything sounds so good for you?

iggy - how you doing?

We're getting so many BFPs on this thread we'll need a recruitment drive for new members soon.
xxx

Joolsiam · 29/01/2009 09:04

I've had so many BFN's with First Response, I just consider them unlucky for me and avoid them !! I am converted to Digital - HATE the ambiguity of is it / isn't it a line.

Wasabi - definitely get TTC if you feel ready for it - I'm told you should wait 10 - 14 days for the cervix to close up again, otherwise there is a risk of infection. I really hope you are one of these people that catches again without seeing another AF I think age and the later MC was against me - I didn't ovulate for 2 months

Couldn't get DP to co-operate last night - need to work on my seductive skills tonight as the next 3 days are crucial I think

C1NDY · 29/01/2009 08:57

Queenie last bit of post was meant for Yellow I feeling quite dizzy today, so forgive me!!

Yellow your signs sound v promising. First Response should be used in the morning with EMU... but I still used it during the day. It may be too early for you to use one as they recommend 6 days before AF is due. The internet one's are not that sensitive ... I found the OPK sticks better in detecting a pg than an actual strip pg test!! How many days do you have left till AF shows up?

OP posts:
C1NDY · 29/01/2009 08:53

Wasabi I think that when you stop... you should count 5 days and then bd on and off as soon as you know you are ov do three days in a row. Just in case you ovulate early and not sure if your temping will work - may be one of the others ladies will know this, as I haven't used temping. Buy some preceed (Cindy is raving about the product again) it will make the sperm live longer (that's my belief as it creates a better CM environment). Good luck and big hugs to you in this difficult time. When I MC I wanted to do the same thing but waited until the next cycle as I thought that we would be making shots in the dark (if you get my drift). You go girl!!

C1NDY · 29/01/2009 08:46

Queenie your bd this month was absolutely amazing, goush i never packed in so many.... your symptons seem very postive. I had AF very mild cramps so fingers and toes crossed for you.

OP posts:
queenie1 · 28/01/2009 19:58

yellow - has the bleeding stopped? what dpo are you? is your bleeding earlier than expected AF date? the am i / aren't i is so maddening isn't it.

I've got such bad AF style cramps but hoping there's something more exciting going on down there. feel slightly nauseus too (because hungry?) - if anythng was implanting would it be too soon for any potential symptoms?

yellowflowers · 28/01/2009 19:01

just did a first response (last one lying around except for cheapie internet ones) and negative - though if yesterday's bleeding was implantation (which I don;t think it was) then would today be too early for any hsg to be produced?

What miu is first response? Maybe I should do an internet cheapie which is10 miu. Curses for not saving first response until morning.

queenie1 · 28/01/2009 18:00

yellow - i agree with Wasabi. It does sound strange / unusual, so you should test.

iggy - yes, roll on Friday! I'm not sure when AF is going to arrive (if, let's keep the hope alive!). If I was working on my typical sort of cycle it would be around Friday too but because I did the Ov tests this month and Ov'd quite late in month - CD20/21 - I pushed back my AF due date til around Monday. But if i get no AF by Friday I will, stupidly, begin to get excited...I've had weird cramping feelings over the past hour and have been wondering whether it's implantation. I also, again stupidly, just feel that it could be my month...

just read back the above. exit the collected, together, philosophical queenie of this morning...and enter the crazy, delusional, tragic queenie gearing up for the angst and agony of the last week of the two week wait !

iggypiggy · 28/01/2009 16:52

yellow totally know what you mean about glimmer of hope - I was like that last month - but I have my fingers crossed for you xx

Fanks Wasabi you are right, we do. And if AF arrives next week then I will just make Feb my month. Many hugs to you at the mo - am hoping for post MC fertility for you xx

kittycatcat · 28/01/2009 15:45
Grin
wasabipeanut · 28/01/2009 15:25

Yellow - have you done a test hon? Something sounds slighty amiss on what you were expecting your cycle to be?

Kitty - you are just going to have to set your alarm clock half an hour earlier!

Iggy - we all need hope. Fingers are crossed for you too.

C1ndy - of course we aren't bored! Tks for Vaseline recommendation - my hands are like sandpaper at the best of times so must try it. In answer to your question yes I am still bleeding but hardly at all now. It's all but stopped now thank goodness. I guess I should count day 1 as CD1 which currently puts me at CD10 now. I am expecting a longer cycle now so not sure what to do really. There isn't much point in ov kits as I would get a positive based on excess HCG kicking around. I guess I should just keep doing pg tests every few days and perhaps start temping to see when I actually ov. Then we can start to test theories about fertility post mc.

kittycatcat · 28/01/2009 14:34

C1NDY not bored at all....[taps fngers for friday]

yellowflowers · 28/01/2009 14:23

Hi all - just managed to hop online and loads of messages to catch up with.

Thanks for enquiring how I am queenie - I am actually fine. A bit confused though as blood never became full flow - just bright red spotting - am sure it will become period v soon but actually temp shot up today (not hugely high but second highest temp of the cycle at 36.65) and also the cystitis type feeling back though am convinced I don;t have actual cystitis as doesn't hurt to pee, just feels odd about an hour after going to the loo. Hmmm - probs be full period in a day or so but is def a bit weird, so am still holing a glimmer of hope though trying not too too much.

Hi wasabi - much love to you. Sorry it's still grim

Not at all bored cindy.

And good luck iggy - thinking of you.
xx

iggypiggy · 28/01/2009 14:01

c1ndy I am not bored - and I am sure no one else is

roll on Friday I say

am stupidly getting hopes up myself... even though I know is such a tiny chance that i would be PG - am trying not to, but I can't help it

C1NDY · 28/01/2009 13:30

Oh I meant to say thank you to all of you for all your positive vibes.. it wasn't meant to read like I wrote it ... I know your not all bored... are you...

OP posts:
C1NDY · 28/01/2009 13:29

Jools and Kitty and everyone else who is getting bored with me ranting about my BFP... all will be revealed on Friday. I won't say nothing more about it till then.

Joolsiam - i am app fertile at the moment, and EWCM is expected sat....annoyingly i am out every night this week
Good luck and fingers crossed for C1NDY and Queenie

Joolsiam · 28/01/2009 12:26

Hello everyone

Am trying to have a day of more work and less surfing, so kick me off if I come back here today

Kittycatcat - I'm 39 (40 in Nov) and TTC my first - trying not to think too much about being an ageing first time mum !!

I have been checking Fertility Friend, and I think the "EWCM" I was seeing is actually creamy "CM" and I saw exactly the same last month. Based on CM patterns, I now reckon I will ovulate on CD14, which will be Sat or Sun. It is going to be a busy few days

C1ndy - I got my BFP in Sept one day before AF was due, so I reckon you must be pretty safe now

Funtime - I got home too late to check my leeks last night and am out at the gym tonight - will investigate at the weekend and report back

WanabeMum · 28/01/2009 12:18

Hey ladies,

Welcome Kitty!!!! I hope this thread will be lucky for you. Our BFP list is stacking up.

C1NDY I'm actually convinced that you're PG. I got mine the day before AF due and here I am 6weeks today! Keep positive, i'm sure AF wont arrive. I will be checking in to see.

Queenie your symptoms sound promising too! Fingers crossed that your AF doesn't arrive either and there will be another 2 BFP's by the end of next week.

Keep it up ladies! so to speak!
