Congratulations Village!!!! that's a lovely Xmas pressie - a nice little secret for you and DH to enjoy
I'm off to Ireland on Sunday for Xmas with my in-laws - plan to do lots of sleeping - v. social! Have been partying all week and with the early work starts have been buring candle at both ends - didn't get in till 3a.m. last night and so feel shattered today.

Call me neurotic but have booked another private scan for Sat 27th Dec. The reason being I'm heading up to my relatives on Sun 28th for new year and want to share my good news as I won't see people again for a few more months. I'll be 11 weeks at that point so feel confident enough that if I get a positive scan that I can share my news. Then I'll have my NHS scan a couple of weeks later - 13 weeks or so. Bit excessive but I figure what I'm spending is only what I'd have spend of vino over Xmas!!!!
Ok everyone - have a good Christmas and hopefully I will come back in the new year to good news from everyone.

Pezzina · 20/12/2008 08:51

Village congratulations! that is such great news! And what a fabulous Christmas pressie.

Hello to everyone - sorry I've not been on for the past couple of days but work has been really busy and yesterday was our Christmas party - which was really good fun.

I'm 7DPO today and so far don't have much to report. No sore boobs, not pains or grumbles. Just a temp dip today. So nothing to report really. Hey ho...

smileycat · 20/12/2008 08:33

Jools so sorry you now think its AF but at least if it is it could settle your body back down ready for next month

JingleJools · 19/12/2008 15:07

I've said it elsewhere but again CONGRATULATIONS VillageMum

My light bleeding has now got heavier, so I am assuming that is AF and all the other "symptoms" I have are just my body trying to screw me over I've never had an AF last this long (6 days) and am blardy fed up with it

tinselandglittercoveredwincies · 19/12/2008 14:31

Wehey village, congratulations!

WanabeMum · 19/12/2008 13:44

Congratulations Village!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's amazing news, what a fantastic Christmas presant for you. Fingers crossed it's a sticky bean!

Fingers crossed for a few more Christmas BFP's!!!!! Good luck ladies

VillageMum · 19/12/2008 13:29

Thanks so much for the good wishes guys!

smiley, I had those cramps too (at 9 and 10 DPO) and was convinced AF was coming early... but no!! Fingers crossed for you!

Boosie, good luck with the scan! Guess I will ring my GP on Monday (STILL can't believe that AF won't suddenly appear!)

Babydust to everyone!! (BTW in my case I'm convinced it was the combo of the DP and Preseed that did it!)

smileycat · 19/12/2008 12:23

Villagemum Excellent news I'm so happy for you

I've got really thuding cramps today, the ones you get the day before AF gets you but not due for another wk, I'm not getting my hopes up but can't help getting a little excited that it could be implantation cramps as I'm DPO 7 today but I have been here before & not had a bfp so trying to ignore the excited feeling

BoosieBoo · 19/12/2008 11:36

village - hurray!! Well done you. The BFP's are starting to stack up - have a good feeling about all of you for xmas. Am also seriously impressed with all the BD'ing going on.

Went to GP this morning to get booked into antenatal clinic and having scan a week on tuesday - the wait is going so slowly!

Lots of festive baby dust to you all x

iggypiggy · 19/12/2008 11:20

Fab news village

am all pleased - hope this bean sticks xx

yellowflowers · 19/12/2008 10:30

oh village that is brilliant. Congratulations!!!

And merry christmas.

Now everyone, it starts with a village...

VillageMum · 19/12/2008 10:28

wasabi, I went freelance two years ago (for the same reasons - wanted to be there for ds and step dd!) and have never looked back, so go for it!

Cindy, thanks for asking after me hun (news below!!), how are you doing?

funtime, everything crossed for you!

Well ladies, I'm 15 DPO today and have been feeling very queasy. I've now peed on that hpt, and it's positive - BFP!

It hasn't really sunk in yet; I can't quite believe that AF won't be making her appearance in the next day or two. I'm also full of trepidation as my last pg ended in a mmc in September. This time I will go for an early scan at 7 weeks. I'm just hoping and hoping that this little bean will stick and thrive!!

THANK YOU girls for being there in these last weeks and months; I think you kept me sane!

yellowflowers · 19/12/2008 09:55

aw thanks smiley. We managed it this morning - tempo has dipped so maybe pre ovulation. Who knows. Means I am not really in for xmas eve testing but don't know what date to put so will not update list yet.

Am feeling very festive today! .Have a great build up to xmas everyone.
xx

queenie1 · 19/12/2008 09:23

This is my last day at work before going on a week long christmas grand family tour.

Managed to BD last night and plan to do it again tonight. That'll make a total of CD 9, 12, 15, 16, 19 and hopefully 20. Not brilliant but not a complete disaster. I guess, then, the 2WW begins for me (which is actually about 10 days I think for me). How will I cope without you all!!!?

So just wanted to say, if I don't have a chance later, happy christmas to all and good luck for everyone BDing over the festive period or working up to the end of the 2WW.

Hope to log on on the 27th / 28th and see lots of BFPs!!!

xxxx

smileycat · 19/12/2008 07:36

Morning ladies are we feeling festive today this time next wk It'll all be over for another year rrrrrrr, but hopfully next year we will all be sharing it with a new little buddle of joy

Yellow Its great to have a blow out every now & again it reminds us that we are still normal & not just a baby making machine, don't feel guilty about it remember its your body too

Iggy You never know, I'm in the same boat as you but it does only take one & I have to remind myself that in the right conditions they can live upto 5 days, so its not over yet

mummy2olivia impressive, you deserve a nice long rest now

tinsle lack of symptoms can be a good thing my boobs have been so sore the last couple of months & this month they are a little tender but nothing like the last two, I'm hoping thats a good sign but also not having to hold them up this month is a great relief

yellowflowers · 19/12/2008 00:08

Had first hangover in a long time today - on just half a bottle of wine. Think it's because I've been drinking hardly anything because of ttc so when I did it hit me as if I'd never had a drink before. And with a bad cold. Tsk - I am naughty.

Then today guess what - a loads of ewcm - had it 4 days ago too but no temp rise (though not been doing properly because of cold) so this may be body having delayed ov because ill. DH is in bed as was kanckered but has promised me we can do it in the morning. Finger's crossed.
x

JingleJools · 18/12/2008 19:50

Heeby - Sparky was asking over you on GFJ Drinkers Anonymous The thread isn't quite dead yet !!!!

mummy2olivia · 18/12/2008 19:43

Oh and would just like to add that of all that BDing- we did it twice on CD 17 and quick note to self in case I forget-positive OPK was on CD 16.

Fingers crossed but don't have a good feeling- dunno why, you'd think I'd feel really positive after all that! But just have a grim feeling that it will be a sad Christmas...

mummy2olivia · 18/12/2008 19:41

BD fest over here- eventually did CD's 11/12/14/15/16/17/18/19. I'm flippin knackered and glad to be having a rest!

Good luck to everyone getting symtoms- am very excited about a few BFP's that are sure to be coming up!

tinselandglittercoveredwincies · 18/12/2008 19:17

Good luck wasabi, I recently became a SAHM so that I can enjoy ds' early years, especially as he might be the only one at this rate . It's really weird at first, losing the security of a regular wage but often worth it with you can manage.

Smiley - enjoy the skiing and .

Symptoms have disappeared today - all in the mind ?

iggypiggy · 18/12/2008 16:29

Hello all - just dropping in for a quick catch up

nice to hear from both heeby and becky

Good luck with handing in your notice wasabi

Today I am a bit [sad} cos we managed to BD on CD10 and CD11 - but not yesterday on CD13 and I know we won't be able to today cos am meeting DH in London for work party.. and alcohol/ late night will conspire against us again... so keep feeling we will have missed our opp for this month - even if we manage to BD tomorrow morning

Anyway - will have to make sure we make up for it next month

wasabipeanut · 18/12/2008 15:19

Jools that must be rather awkward!

I have some sympathy because every now and again my c section scar will itch like hell - I think its still healing, must take years to repair properly. Anyway, giving that area a good old scratch in public is most definitely not on!! I have to go to the loo because its an itch that simply cannot be ignored!!

JingleJools · 18/12/2008 14:14

Good luck handing in that letter Wasabi

I'm sat here with wierd things going on in my boobs - an uncomfortable, almost itchy feeling but if I itch, the feeling doesn't go away - not easy to scratch boobs in an open plan office full of men !!!!

Broodzilla · 18/12/2008 13:38

C1NDY I was planning to do the Deanna plan, but man-flu caught me... had a rest on Tuesday night, but did the OPK again yesterday, and as it was positive we did BD although I'm feeling pretty rough. I was feeling all smug and happy until I read somewhere that if you BD after you pick up the surge you might have already missed it... then again, the kit says that when you pick up the surge you should ovulate within 24-36 hours, so here's to hoping... (If anyone has managed to get a BFP with only BDing after the surge, please tell me!)

Anyway, will stick with the plan and BD tonight and tomorrow too, just in case. As it happens, I'm ploughing through cough medicine which apparently is good for EWCM so you never know.

Smiley Your DS sounds like a little angel! Reading that actually made me tear up a little (I'm v. soppy, hormonal or not!)

Wasabi Good luck with handing in the letter. It's nerv-wrecking, even when you know it's the right thing to do. My SIL actually did pretty much what you're hoping to do (although she works in a different area all together) but basically, her old company kept her busy with freelance work for the first couple of years! She was getting to do all the fun bits, with none of the politics, and as far as I understand, far more money than she'd have made if she'd been employed rather than freelance! Best of both worlds!

pinkie08 · 18/12/2008 13:21

Smiley your ds is gorgeous dont you just want to hug them.

Becky that is the best advice on pretending to drink. I really hope we can all give it a try soon.

I agree with not telling the MILs mine is such a pain since she heard i on clomid cant imagine what she would be like if actually pg

wasabi hope it goes well it sounds like you really thought it through and know what you want.

We are nearly through the bd marathon for this month and i am exhausted but really felt had to give last month of clomid a good try.
