Becky - I lost my libido the day he proposed to me ten years ago and we went through a really really rocky patch where I couldn't even pretend to like BD as it really hurt

Looking back, I think I had vaginismus and it only really went away went my body clock started screaming babies at me.

I'm still don't have a very strong sex-drive, but I do know it improves when I lose a bit of weight. According to Weightwatchers, 1 am 3 stone overweight. I don't completely believe that, as I do a lot of exercise and muscle weighs more than fat. I could do with losing 2 stone though. I will weigh myself on Sunday and see how I did this week Part of me would like to be lighter when I next book in with a midwife when I was last time - there is an unconfirmed link to high BMI and increased risk of MC and, whilst I think a BMI of 34 (when I was PG) is not considered high enough for that risk, it is in the back of my mind all the time as just one more worry !

funtimewincies · 30/01/2009 11:14

Thanks kitty!

Aw smiley they're lovely and clear, that's me all gooey and fluffy for the rest of the day !

kittycatcat · 30/01/2009 11:10

Hiya, if you click her name it takes you to her profile page, then you should see Smileys photos at the bottom i think it is

funtimewincies · 30/01/2009 11:00

OK, I give in, where is smiley's profile hiding? I want to see the scan pictures of someone I give a monkey's about for a change !

C1NDY · 30/01/2009 10:34

Broodzilla thanks. I am just getting use to it? am 4 weeks and 2 days now, it doesn?t seem real but it is very early days.

Ladies, I am staying here until you all graduate because you have all been such wonderful support to me and I am going to ensure I am here for everyone one of you!! (group hug)

Wanabe Your not that far ahead of me. I am going to see my doctor at 9 weeks. I had a bad experience last time I told him I was 5 weeks? yes, he gave me all that ?its early days and it may not ? well something along the lines without using the MC word. I came away thinking goush ? and of course I did. So I want to wait till the 9 week and then if all is okay will tell him. I am not even going in for an early scan thought I would just wait until the 12 weeks ? if I get that far.

Wanabe, I know what you mean. I am scared too ? scared to get too excited as I feel the rug may be taken away from my feet. All I can do is take one day at a time, not read too much horror stories on what can go wrong on the internet and to have loads of positive thoughts. Good luck at the doctors today, hope your doctor is more sympathetic than mine!!

Smiley what a wonderful date! Well congratulations on your scan, do you now feel a little bit more relaxed?

Becky Thanks. I have waited a long time for this and am hoping the bean will stick around. I can understand how you feel, so happy for you that you got to see your little baby ? it would be nice to have a scanning machine at home like Tom Cruise had for Katie to check on the baby at a glance ? rich people are so lucky. I can understand why you did it to get piece of mind, if it helps then great!! Relax and enjoy your pregnancy. You should share it with your hubby it will give him news that his little one is doing just fine!!

Wasabi I here, here your vision!!

Smiley will look at your scanned pics in a moment!!

iggypiggy · 30/01/2009 10:28

wasabi thanks I hope your prediction is right.

queenie - is wierd isn't ti!

smiley had a look at your scan pics - how cool!

yellow a positive is good - I have hope for you xx

becky nice to hear how you doing too

jools I have to be careful about the pressure too, so I know what you mean. I slightly ashamed to say that I never talk about when might be a good time - I just try to ensure we BD on the days I think we need to... he's usually very keen, but the slightest hint of pressure...

nothing to report from me.. no real AF signs today - but no other symptoms either... We are having a weekend away - so am hoping that if AF does come she at least waits until monday... I would be even more sad if she came tomorrow and spolit the weekend too

smileycat · 30/01/2009 10:21

Yellow you read about these women that don't know that they are pg until way down the line as they had periods all the way through.......you could be one of those everything is crossed for you

BeckyMcG · 30/01/2009 10:16

Jools I don't think you're being miserable. I have been having a chat to a few of my real life friends about ttc - they have admitted to me they're trying and so I have opening up about our process. It's quite nice to talk to people as I would on these chat rooms. The main thing seems to be 'putting pressure on men to conceieve affects performance' but in the job we do it's easy to get sent away Monday to Friday so the weekends become extra important. It's frustrating that this (along with pregnancy, child rearing and a host of other things) seems to be a woman's responsibility.
Smiley - love your little scan piccies :-)
Yellow - I do not know what to make of that. It sounds like a CP to me I think but then you hear stories of the same thing happening to people and sticky beans! So my fingers are crossed for you. Maybe wait till Sunday or tomorrow and do another test? also see how the bleeding goes?
Jools Have you got much weight to lose? You definitely do more excercise than me. I anm sure that's not the libido problem - probably like you say he's worried about performance, maybe he's worried about infertility too? could that be it?

yellowflowers · 30/01/2009 09:46

oooh - I missed the scan pics - will look now.

I am not holding out hope for myself tbh. But interestingly the biggest 'sign' has been the stench of women's perfumes if they just walk by me - overpowering. Though now I know that is a sign what's the betting I get it every month now through my brain playing tricks.

kittycatcat · 30/01/2009 09:39

Hello everyone.
Yellowflowers fingers crossed
Julesiam I know what you mean...i had no drive for years to the point of problems, not helped by the fact that my other half is 6 yrs younger than me...and now he can't quite believe the new me. However things aren't quite performing as they should be, so don't think it will be happening for me just yet [hmmm].
smileycat nice name and your scan pics are fab.
Wannabeamum Hope u get on well at the docs today
BeckymcG I would also have done the same thing. Reckon when my time comes i will be a nightmare...i am already impatient
Sorry if i missed anyone, still trying to keep up and get the hang of MN.
x

Joolsiam · 30/01/2009 09:19

Ooooh interesting Yellowflowers

I guess all you can do is keep an eye on the blood flow - if it stays light, it might be just a breakthrough bleed

fingers crossed for another confirmed BFP soon

yellowflowers · 30/01/2009 09:03

blimey- I am not sure about this new look mumsnet, plus only seems to work for me in Safari not Firefox.

An odd morning - last night a very faint positive on internet cheapy. Then woke up at 5am and had started bleeding - proper fresh red blood (though not loads) rather than period coloured blood. Still bleeding this am but got another faint positive on internet cheapie.

Guess it's a CP? Be honest - any chance at all I could have more red blood than spotting and this still stick?

Joolsiam · 30/01/2009 08:58

Good to "see" you Becky and I'd have done exactly the same in your situation I cannot believe you are 16 weeks already though !!!

Smiley - just had a coo over your piccies - bet it makes it seem so real now

I didn't have the best of evenings - DP was at a function at work - got back at around 10pm and we had a glass of wine and I tried to be extra nice and seductive, but he was too tired and it just didn't work, although we tried both last night and this morning

I'm trying not to put pressure on him and tell him when my fertile time is, in case this is what is impeding the performance so I can't express my frustration desperation to anyone else but you guys

Will try again tonight - hopefully a Friday night in the pub will get things going. It may be too little too late though. I've been telling myself for the past week that it doesn't matter and another month to really lose a good amount of weight will be better in the long run - but I really need to have at least one BD at the right time and have a 2WW, otherwise I'll feel a bit lost for 3 weeks till I can start seducing him again ..

Maybe we're just getting too old - my libido was so non-existent for years that it caused relationship problems - now it has woken up, he's approaching 44 and it is becoming more difficult. Maybe if I lose more weight, he'll get more into BD ?

sorry for being a bit miserable (again )

smileycat · 30/01/2009 08:40

I have just had my scan pics sent to me from yesterday, I have put them on my profile page if anyone wants to have a look

yellowflowers · 29/01/2009 22:54

Hi wasabi - I sign up to your prediction!

BeckyMcG · 29/01/2009 22:40

Broozilla that is so insensitive. My hubby was telling some friends our news at a wedding the other week and was drunk and joking "at least I know I've got lead in my pencil" and I told him off so much once I got him on his own. I said - how do you know they're not trying? and didn't MC only last week? or going through IVF? how would we have felt? and he felt really sheepish and bad. He won't be saying things like that again .
For a man to say it - it's just mouth talking before brain engaged but for a woman to say that though it's quite unbelieveable.

BeckyMcG · 29/01/2009 22:32

Hey girls,
Jools - she really sounds like a silly little girl, how old is she? must have a low mental age. It's hard to know what to do for the best but in situations like this I usually just try and rise above it and be the better person. If you let her see she's got to you she'll be more satisfied. If you get thrown off your message board then she'll have won. Don't let it happen - she's a silly cow.
Cindy - we are allowed to be happy for you now!!! We all know what can go wrong but this is the only thread where we know that it's so hard to get a bloody BFP in the first place.
Smiley Yeah, yeah. I think they just have a little guess at the scans as they moved me too and I was also sure of dates.

So my update is I've felt knackered this week and have been very, very crabby with DH. I am 16 weeks today and while my tummy is going hard (rather than flabby) I don't have any bump at all and no illness or food cravings and my boobs have stopped being sore and growing. So (and this is a guilty secret that I do not intend to admit to read friends) I went to St Thomas emergency gynocology tonight after work (it's next to my office) and asked them if they'd look at the baby. I looked pitiful I think and she relented and they scanned me. There it was - beating away and moving. I celebrated with a packet of Haribo on the way home. God - when will I be able to believe I'm having a baby? when it's here? Should I admit to hubby that I did that!!!

smileycat · 29/01/2009 21:13

Hi Ladies
Just had my dating scan & they put me back 5 days. I was pretty sure of my dates but I guess I have to go with what they say. I'm now offically 8wks + 1day & my due date is 09/09/09 great birthday if I go on time

My fingers are crossed for those of you with AF due this wkend & hope she stays away for you, baby dust to all on the build up or 2WW ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

WanabeMum · 29/01/2009 19:50

Hey everyone,

C1ndy i'm 6+1 today and have my GP appointment tomorrow. It's a scary concept as it's making it "real". I obviously want it to be real but i feel a little in limbo still as I'm excited but affraid to get too excited. odd i know
My only symptom until today was sore breasts. To the point where now it is awkward to sleep as i can't get comfy without brushing past them and boy does it hurt! . But today the extreme fatigue kicked in with a vengence and my eyes are burning as if i haven't slept for days! Plus the whole emotional thing also kicked in today. Just want to blub at anything Oh well this is what i signed up for!

I'm loving the idea that by the end of this year we will all be parents or will be waiting for our due dates!

I still don't know what i'd have done without you lovely ladies, even now i can't go for more than 24hrs without checking in on you all! Quick stop me before i blub

wasabipeanut · 29/01/2009 15:32

Brrodzilla - that must have made your dp feel just great! Never ceases to amaze me how staggeringly insensitive people can be at times.

Broodzilla · 29/01/2009 15:24

Hi everyone, I've been trying to catch up with you all... had been typing up responses individually until I clicked back a page and discovered that everything I wrote disappeared...

Anyway, sorry if I'm excluding anyone, but just wanted to say HAPPY BFP to Cindy!

Also, wasabi I hope you're on the home stretch now, and I'm sure we're all hoping your prediction is true!

Jools People can be really insensitive! We just had a letter in the post yesterday from SIL with pictures from her latest scan. She's nearly 40 but got pregnant right away and seems to think that it's the same for everyone. When they last visited us, she congratulated her DP on being "a real man" for managing to get her pregnant...

No news in camp Broodzilla. No signs of AF, but no BFP. Not sure why I was expecting either as I know I didn't OV.

Will start temping tomorrow... I'm REALLY not a morning person, but am determined to set the alarm for 6AM every day. We'll see how it goes.

queenie1 · 29/01/2009 15:03

iggy - i want to graduate with everyone on this thread too. feels like it really is our own special virtual group of friends and want it to continue.

wasabi - loving your prediction. lets hope the next year is a good one for all of is. xxx

Joolsiam · 29/01/2009 14:14

Found Pinkie08 on another thread - looks like she got AF today I think. No sign of LovelyMonster anywhere on MNet since end of Dec - hope all is OK

Joolsiam · 29/01/2009 14:09

Quick list update as I spotted one error, put the dates in order and I think my AF due date is going to be earlier, based on current fertility signs

Wasabi - I read all through that website and never saw that CD1 is the day that the last bit passes - makes perfect sense now because, if I count from that date, it means that my first wierd AF arrived spot on 28 days later..

Pinkie08 due 30th Jan clomid and DP
Yellowflowers AF due from 30th Jan DP
Broodzilla AF due 30 Jan
Queenie AF due 1st/2nd Feb

Joolsiam AF due 14th Feb
Kittycatcat - AF due 14th Feb (how romantic ;)
