Morning everyone!! last day at work ... yah whooooo ! I used one of my pg test yesterday from Amazon and it was a tiny strip which really I couldn't work out anything... any way the test was negative... I was confused where the lines had to appear - the strip was really tiny.
I know its too early but I have the peeing bug!! Any way the control line worked out fine but I wasn't sure where the other line would appear on the strip. Has anyone used this type of testing strip??... I even peeled back the paper to see if there was a line underneath.. nope!!

I have finally read how to use pre-seed and will be using it next time. It sounds very good and as Villagemum recommended it I will use this along with my DP!!

Speak to you all soon
Cindy

Hi Jinglejools, just read your story. I am in the same boat with 1st cycle after mc and in 2ww (still have 10 days to go...aaaaah).

My doctor told me that implantation bleeding can be like AF. Go test so you can put your doc on your case if you need progesterone or such, I'd say....good luck!

yellowflowers · 23/12/2008 23:14

omg pezzina - here's hoping!
And good luck jools

JingleJools · 23/12/2008 19:15

Not sure if it is a bargain or not, but that ClearBlue digi with conception indicator is available in a twin pack in Superdrug for less than £15. Since I think the single ones are ten or eleven pounds each, this may be a good deal

I didn't get one - will use my Sainsbury's one tomorrow, then follow up with a conception indicator one if there is a need

tinselandglittercoveredwincies · 23/12/2008 19:06

Thanks Wanabe (staggers under the weight of the Green and Blacks) .

Welcome whatsfortea. A lot of ladies who have had mcs (including me) have gravitated towards this thread as everyone is really nice and supportive, so you're in safe hands here. Ooh, I'm getting all emotional, must be the sherry!

Pezzina - everything crossed for you, good luck with the next test.

whatsfortea · 23/12/2008 18:41

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome

Just wanted to say congrats to the BFPs so far and wishing lots of luck to everyone who will be testing over Christmas.

I'm wishing the days away already for when the BD can start again in earnest, but guess I should just focus on relaxing over Christmas instead. DH has promised we will increase the BD efforts for next month! I OV'd about a week early last time which took me by surprise so we missed the boat a bit, grrrr, fickle hormones!

Anyway, Happy Christmas to everyone, only one more day at work, woohoo

Pezzina · 23/12/2008 15:31

Jools - I definitely think you should test - like you say, you don't want to be thinking "what if" over Christmas. My fingers are crossed for you. I too haven't had much in the way of symptoms this month. I've tried not to pay too much attention to them this month because I think I had every symtom going last month with nothing to show for it. Ho hum...

Pezzina · 23/12/2008 15:22

Yeah, who am I kidding - I don't think I'll be able to wait either so I shall do as you suggest Cindy and test tomorrow with the other Christmas Eve testers.

I think you should really wait until you are 12 dpo before you test - but having said that I don't know anyone who is that strong!

JingleJools · 23/12/2008 14:59

C1ndy - I had very little CM after my last BFP - just went dry as normal post ov - I think it is one of those where everyone can tell a different story ...

C1NDY · 23/12/2008 14:55

Pezzina My fingers and toes are crossed for you... How exciting, do another test tomorrow and see what happens - I really could not wait that long to see if I was or wasn't.. ... but it looks very positive

OP posts:
C1NDY · 23/12/2008 14:54

HOw early can we test... I am on DPO 7... I have been feeling really tired but am not sure if I am coming down with another cold. I have ordered pg and ovulation tests so may wait for them to arrive in the post....

Should you have loads of CM if you are pg as I only have a little... does that mean I am not pg or is everyone different.

I may do an early test on Monday, three days before I am due.

Welcome WhatsforTea

Oooh - exciting Pezzina I hope that line gets stronger tomorrow

Good luck for the Christmas Day BD'ing Wanabe

I'm trying not to hold out too much hope but for 2 days running I've had waves of nausea in the morning, when tired after exercise at the gym and when hungry so I will test tomorrow, even if it is only to get the "what if" thoughts out of my system before Christmas Day

I have a rotten cold about to come out, so am feeling a bit spaced out and am coughing so much I've given myself a headache - need to rule out pregnancy before I hit the lemsip !!

Wasabi - what symptoms have you had apart from the waves of nausea ? I'm just clutching at straws really because apart from the odd twinge in my lower left abdomen and randomly aching nipples, I've had nothing.

Who else is testing in the morning - anyone ?

Pezzina · 23/12/2008 13:56

Hello ladies!

I took a test this morning - I'm only 10 DPO and know that is waaaaay to early to test but I was supposed to be having a reflexology appointment tonight and I just had to test to make sure I wasn't pregnant - as I've heard its not good to have reflexology early on in pregnancy. So, I got up at 5.30am needing a pee and thought - might as well do it now. However, just put my side light on to read test so that I wouldn't disturb DH. Couldn't see a line and so went back to sleep. However, after about 45 mins of 'doozing' my alarm went off and I had to get up and when I looked at the test under proper light I could see a very faint line. Now, I haven't allowed myself to get excited. I know that you are not supposed to count results after the 10mins developing time. But I did get an tiny bubble of excitment. Now my reflexologist has phoned up really sick and has had to cancel my appointment anyway! Fate?!

I'm now not sure if I should test tomorrow with everyone or whether I should wait till Christmas Day (my due date) when I will be 12 DPO.

What do you ladies think?

Congratulations wasabi!!!!!!!! That's fantastic news xxx

It looks like i'm going to OV on Christmas day according to my fertility monitor so hopefully I'll get my very own Christmas BFP although I'll have to wait until next year to find out for sure!

Good luck to all those still in the testathon tomorrow!

Sorry about the witch wincies, enjoy a very large G&T and some of this too

Welxome to our newbies, hopefully some more BFP's on the way!

Merry Christmas everyone as I doubt I'll have time to check in over the next few days. Will check in for some updates on the testathon soon though xxxxxxxx

Whatsfortea Welcome! sorry to hear about the MC in September. YOur on a good thread to get all the support you need. You have timed it well you can eat, drink and be merry to your hearts content. I MC in Sept also, and will be on my third cycle and ttc #2. I am 39 years old so time it ticking but hey, when it happens it will happen.

wasabipeanut · 23/12/2008 08:15

Thank you for your lovely messages everyone - you are all scrumptious and I have found this thread to be amazing over the last few months so regardless of how things progress I will definitely stick around!

I am 20 days po now (if I got the day right) and will, based on last AF be 5 weeks tomorrow. Am planning on getting an early scan at 8 weeks to set my mind at rest but until then it will be all the usual "will it stick?" worries!

We are off to the in laws today unti after Xmas so I won't be able to check in for a few days so just wanted to say a huge GOOD LUCK to all those testing over the next few days. More Christmas BFP's would be just lovely!

So.......have a fab Christmas everyone. I wish you all good tidings and much baby dust!

Lots of love, Wasabi xxxx

whatsfortea · 22/12/2008 22:01

Hi everyone - can I join in? I'm a recent convert to grapefruit drinking, temping and OPK'ing if that will help! (Only since discovering mumsnet mind you, altho DH actually drinks grapefruit juice by choice - bleurgh! )

I'm TTC #1, and had a mmc in September . AF got me today, so not much I can do for a few days now (apart from eat, drink and try to be merry of course).

Nice to meet you all.
