thanks joolsiam popping over!!

Joolsiam · 14/01/2009 16:44

Spats - when there were 3 BFP's from the original conception thread, we did set one up called "GFJ drinkers Anonymous"

It is still there, ready and waiting for anyone who wants to have loads of pregnancy chat without boring everyone still TTC and a good half way house for anyone who doesn't want to join a due date thread yet. I pop back from time to time, as I am a serial internet chatter

Stick around here aswell though

spats · 14/01/2009 16:29

hi, well if no one really minds i may stick around a while as don't want to join ante natal yet thanks. x

smileycat · 14/01/2009 16:23

congratulations Spats its great to hear of another BFP

Wasabi I wasn't sure how to put my good news down in words when you are feeling so low. I didn't want to say the wrong thing & upset you. I'm happy that you are happy for me & hope that we can soon be enjoying your good news. I read an artical a lady went for a scan at what she thought was 10wks & was told there was nothing there but a sac & to wait for it to pass, she spent 2 wks crying & coming to terms with the news & then went back to have a rescan before the D&C & behold a baby with a heart beat, so it can happen xx

Girls it looks like some of you are nearly ready for testing, I have everything crossed for you, lots of good symptom spotting going on out there

yellowflowers · 14/01/2009 16:23

I can spell people by the way - just can't type! (and on an earlier post, I can also spell tomorrow not as tomorroe!!)

queenie - you don't always see ewcm - it can wash away when you do a wee and (tmi!) last time I saw it on loo paper only which means if you forget to do a through exploration or loo paper (yuk) then you can miss it easily.

queenie1 · 14/01/2009 16:14

just did opk and it was back to pale lines so maybe i did surge yesterday? No EWCM though. Who knows? BD'd yesterday morning and will try to grab DH tonight, but will also keep BDing for at least next five days if not week.

My initial hope and optimism that this might be the month is beginning to wane though. Convinced / always hopeful that I will fall successfully PG at some point in my life but each month keeps passing and nothing...now been eight months since my last BFP. Why does it just not seem to be happening for me?

yellowflowers · 14/01/2009 16:04

Pezz - i am 5 (tues) so not far behind!! Are you going to an ante natal thread. I feel its too soon really as i do think i will be jinxed!!

Thanks Queenie!! good luck with the wee collecting!!

queenie1 · 14/01/2009 15:41

Spats - congratulations!! Good to have another BFP on here to remind us that there is hope

Smiley - brilliant news for you too. You must be so excited and relieved.

wasabi - at least there's quite a bit of hope left so keeping willing on your little bean.

Forgot to do my OPK earlier (definitely no scientist then ). Will test as soon as I next have urge to wee (and have been collecting wee in glass).

jools / wannabe - looking good ladies!!

Pezzina · 14/01/2009 15:38

Hi Spats I'm nearly 7 weeks

spats · 14/01/2009 15:37

i think we just crossed post pezz - how far along are you?

spats · 14/01/2009 15:36

Thanks alot. I know how i felt when someone got a BFP and of course i was glad for them but but it still made me wonder why not me. I will leave this thread and probably go to ante natal in few weeks just in case i jinx it. I think there is one from people from this thread. I will look in from time to time though to see how things are going with everyone. This month was the 1st month i didn't stress about getting pg as wasn't really the best month for me (although i will still accept it gleefully!!) so had a hunch it may happen this month!! also didn't get too obsessed with mumnet!! logging in every second of the day!! I guess that helped. I just wish everyone the best of luck xx

Pezzina · 14/01/2009 15:36

Great news on your scan Smiley it much be such a relief.

Sorry that you are still in limbo Wasabi - its horrible that you have to wait and can't really do anything to help the situation - although I think Wannabe is right - talk to your little bean to encourage it to fight and grow.

Spats congratulations! That is wonderful news.

Good luck to Jools and Wanabe your symptoms do sound promising

I've been feeling quite nauseous today and my belly seems quite bloated. Twins do run in my family and so my DH and I decided to book in for an early scan - just to check in on the little bean(s) and make sure everything is ok. Scan is booked for 24th Jan - by which time I will be 8 weeks. Quite excited about it. But still so anxious something may go wrong. I love Mums Net but sometimes reading all the other peoples experiences can make you realise how much can go wrong!

yellowflowers · 14/01/2009 15:32

great news spats
x

spats · 14/01/2009 15:27

i did suspect after 3 days after i thought AF should arrive and now my boobs are overspilling my bra so was a sign!!! I do alot of dancing also but as it was the xmas holidays there was none on so i don't know if that helped it implant. Who knows why it suddenly happens, it the most out of control i have ever felt these 6 months. I wish all of you every luck in the world with ttc as its a complete bl**dy nightmare each month. I have fingers crossed this sticks, but if it does i have the unenviable task of telling my friend who tried for 7 years , had 1 miscarriage and is now adopting. It will be hard on her

Joolsiam · 14/01/2009 15:13

Fab news on the scan Smiley - I can well imagine how relieved you must feel

And Spats - wow - did you suspect Congratulations I was asking the other day on a new thread about taking Ibuprofen when TTC - someone told me a story about spraining their ankle or something and having a theory that it was natures way of making you slow down

spats · 14/01/2009 15:10

scared to type this in case i jinx it but i got a BFP today i don't test early and wait and wait and DH made me test today so i am 5 weeks now six long months and this month i was feeling so ill over xmas that didn't bother with epo, grapefruit juice or cough syrup!! Oh and fell on the ice and twisted my ankle on the day i guess it was inplanting!!!

wasabipeanut · 14/01/2009 15:06

Smiley that's great news. I'm happier for you than you probably think.

WanabeMum · 14/01/2009 15:05

Aww Congratulations Smiley!!!!!!!
That's fantastic news and such a relief for you all i bet. Take care and keep us updated on your progress xx

smileycat · 14/01/2009 14:59

Had my scan today and we saw our little bean (only 1 thank god) with a lovely strong heart beat thumping away. I nearly cried, what a relief. My gyni said it looked good & strong & hopefully we are past the danger stage.she agreed with my dates for the size
She said I can go back and have another scan in 2 wks time to put my mind at rest & then book in with a midwife either that day or arrange an appointment.

Wasabi I'm so sorry your news wasn't great, but there is still hope & I'm sure they would have told you out right if they thought that there wasn't so not to keep you in limbo

Joolsiam · 14/01/2009 14:54

Sorry it isn't more definite Wasabi

As you say, a 4 day discrepancy could be explained away, so I will still keep everything crossed for you.

WanabeMum · 14/01/2009 14:26

just rang the GP back and they agree there is protein in my urine so the nurse has sent it to the lab for testing which means i can't have antibiotics until at least tomorrow afternoon!! what happens if it flares up again tomorrow? bloody people have no consideration, she was a bit drippy too (sorry not normally so mean)

WanabeMum · 14/01/2009 14:23

Yes please feel free!!
Laughed out loud at the hurling in the cat food!!!!!!

I just spoke to DH about it possibly being a symptom and he wants me to test Saturday (10DPO) and every day after until we get a BFP or my AF arrives. Men have no idea how expensive these tests are obviously!
I know he's hoping now but i have to do the whole "you never know but i can't think about it until AF arrives or is late" but he isn't having any of it at the moment

wasabipeanut · 14/01/2009 14:21

I think the "cat food challenge" should be a proper part of diagnosing a pregnancy.

The smell of our IAMS nearly did for me on more than one occasion.

Joolsiam · 14/01/2009 14:18

Oh, and "pokey feelings" are very good news - can I get excited for you ? !!
