oh no cindy - another site for me to obsess over!!!

Went to walk in clinic for cough today - told them I am ttc in case they prescribed anything (they didn't) but nurse said she was trying too and ended up having long chat about that instead - though I knew much more than she did and she's a nurse!

wasabipeanut · 16/01/2009 16:24

Ok C1ndy - just done my OPK and it was a strong positive.

Whether this info is helpful or not I just don't know!

C1NDY · 16/01/2009 14:18

Wasabi thanks for the link, it was useful reading. Speak soon and lets hope that everything works out for you. I am thinking of you x

For all those ladies waiting to test... I have found a website that gives you an online pregancy test.... www.epigee.org/pregnancy/test.html

Can you believe that, they have every on the web. Give it a go.. I did and it said I had 20% chance, but I am too early for it to predict!!

Wasabi thanks for indulging me, let me know what happens...I know its just wishful thinking on my side. I am going home to do another OPK test but am going to read your link first. I will logon at home after I pick up my DD...
Speak soon

Actually having read that it looks pretty good for you I'd say!

Seeing as I have bugger all else to do other than wait and get stressed, and, even if not preg, clearly still have HCG in my system, I will however test on one of the cheapie OPK's I have kicking around. I quite miss my stick peeing habit! Good job really because I have a feeling I am going to resume it quite soon.

c1ndy - may the experiment begin!

wasabipeanut · 16/01/2009 13:47

Cindy you need to go to....

www.peeonastick.com/opkhpt.html

All your questions should be answered!

C1NDY · 16/01/2009 13:45

I'm going home in a moment... so here's wishing you all that are testing the very best!! am so looking forward to see a whole lot of BFP on Monday... Laters Cindy

C1NDY · 16/01/2009 13:44

Spats thanks for the details of the cough medicine, I will definately be buying some

Wasabi if I ov late it means AF will arrive later, so I will not keep my hopes up when AF doesn't arrive. I was hoping that I had already concieved and the sticks were telling me I was positive... hummm wishful thinking.

Has anyone that is pg ever used t OPK sticks to see what lines would appear?? if you have one lying around perhaps someone could conduct such a test, for scientific TTC Theory?? I know, I know, I am mad to even suggest this, but I never have had such positive line before on my OPK sticks...

Aww Wasabi it's perfectly natural, if i were in your shoes i'm sure i'd be on an emotional rollercoaster too. If you need to cry then cry, it wont hurt you

Jools that's so exciting!!!!! Oh i hope it's a BFP for you

Joolsiam · 16/01/2009 13:13

Perfectly natural reaction Wasabi - the waiting must be soooo stressful trying to listen to every little twinge your body creates whilst desperately hoping - sounds like a magnified version of the 2WW really ..

We will ALL be on tenterhooks waiting for your news tomorrow.

I've just put 2 and 2 together and made around 347 Have been having lank, grotty hair issues for a few days - just remembered that I had exactly the same issue prior to Sept's BFP

Itchy boobs today - almost but not quite enough to chalk it up as a definite symptom !

Oh, and I just worked out my days were off by 1 - am ten or 11 dpo today, so will be testing on Monday if I get that far

Pezzina · 16/01/2009 13:09

Well I've got everything I can cross crossed for you - keep talking to your little bean. I was singing to mine in the shower this morning

wasabipeanut · 16/01/2009 12:59

Thanks everyone, you do give me a lift but perhaps I'm not handling this as well as you might think. I've just had a bit of a cry actually. Suddenly decided I was kidding myself and that there's no point trying to be positive.

But that's silly - I'm certainly not going to help myself or my family by assuming the worst. I'm so up and down. One minute I am convinced that it will be ok and the next that there is no hope.

I get the results tomorrow morning. I was meant to have a booking in appt at 10.30 and my lovely midwife said she'd call me 1st thing and let me know the score.

Pezzina · 16/01/2009 12:48

Wasabi It does sound positive for you sweetie - when do you get the blood results back? And I second what Queenie has written - you are handling this brilliantly [hugs] x

queenie1 · 16/01/2009 12:46

Hi all - just been to the loo and had some stretchy lotiony white CM...don't know if that means EWCM is on its way and I'm about to Ov or whether I have Ov'd and I'm getting the seemingly all important creamy, lotiony CM post Ov!!?

One things for sure, if this month isn't successful, I'm definitely going to temp next month...

wasabi - sounding good for you lovely!! I do hope so anyway. Is tomorrow when you get your blood tests back? I think you're handling all this brilliantly by the way.

wanabe - I'd be excited if I were you!!

Pezzina · 16/01/2009 12:46

Hi ladies - just checking in to see how you all are. Wanabe your symptoms are sounding very promising. Looking forward to hearing positive results on Sunday for all of you who will be testing! 11DPO is not too early to test - I tested then and got a line with First Response.

I really recommend temping to those who can be bothered with the hassle of remembering to take your temp each morning before you get up. It really helped me to get to know my cycle and pin point exactly when I was going to OV. Meant my DH and I could 'concentrate' our efforts to the three days before OVing and reduce our chance of 'running out of steam'

WanabeMum · 16/01/2009 12:12

Oh and have some "stretchy" feeling cramps today too, very mild but coming on in waves. Also, my boobs were itching last night but nothing today.

WanabeMum · 16/01/2009 12:11

Aww what lovely messages today!! Broodzilla i totally understand what you say and like most of the other ladies i don't know what i'd do without MN now! you all indulge my neuroticism and obsessions!

I'm getting excited now (probably not a good thing) but very anxious at the same time. Worried i wont get the result i want .

Wasabi i hope these are positive symptoms/signs for you, fingers crossed for you.

wasabipeanut · 16/01/2009 11:49

Oh yes and Cindy - remember what I said about just because you have a LH surge doesn;'t guarantee that you will ov immediately afterwards.

Are you temping as well? Apparently that is the only real way of establishing the time you ov'd. I bloody wish I'd done it now because this would take the guess work out of my timings to some degree.

wasabipeanut · 16/01/2009 11:47

Hello all,

I love this thread too - just in case you hadn't noticed! For all those stranded in the 2WW, I agree that increased CM and increased, erm, parpiness are indeed symptoms. I had and continue to have both! Apparently one of the effects of progesterone is to slow down the digestive system because it relaxes all the ligaments and tissues so stuff lingers for longer! Hence more burping and farting - nice
I'm looking forward to seeing some good test results on Sunday/Monday!

I am feeling ok today. Went and got my blood taken at the hospital this morning so we're still playing the waiting game. I keep getting short stabby pains in my boobs and other areas (!) which I remember having last time - so am crossing my fingers that this, and having lots of CM are good signs. When you're in my position you clutch at any passing straw.....

funtimewincies · 16/01/2009 11:31

Just noticed, why can't I spell Jools properly - another symptom (slaps own face ).

funtimewincies · 16/01/2009 11:29

Don't worry yellowflowers, even if it's a bfp I wouldn't dare go and play in the antenatal section until the 12-week scan was well and truly behind me!

yellowflowers · 16/01/2009 11:16

Hi evertyne - I lvoe this thread too and second everything broozilla has said.

I am 2ww now too I think, though really should bd tomorrow too. Still feeling ill though and had major throwing up yesterday. Bah!

Can't wait to hearabout all the bfps on Sunday when you've all tested, though please don;t go and leave just me on this thread.
x

funtimewincies · 16/01/2009 11:03

Lol Jules - I'd be hopeless in London, I just don't get all the stress and rushing about. I was behind the door and a long way down the corridor when they handed out competitiveness .

Unfortunately, I'm also at the other end of Wales. If you think that they're laid back down south you should try coming up north! The countryside is too fab and your need of your neighbours too great to get all hot and bothered about the little things. Mind you, it's a nightmare trying to get a decent pint of ale .

Feeling really rough this morning but I just don't 'feel' pregnant, which I did with ds and the mmc, but not the 2 other early mc's.

Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh .

Broodzilla - you're lovely, you are!

spats · 16/01/2009 10:23

Cindy - it was Robitussin cehsty cough medicine in a red packet. Actually says on the side that is loosens and thins mucus. As i said i didn't use it this month. however i do know its necessary to try anything just to feel in control of it. My cupboard is still bursting with 1/2 empty tubs of EPO, B12, cough syrup. Also i was on antihistamine daily and read somewhere that that dries up mucus so came off it. Did post that last year but for anyone new who doesn't know that is something to think about. Summer i guess is when people use it most for hayfever, but i have chronic idiopathic urticaria and so was on it all year round.

Looking foward to the sun testing gangs news. Will be logging in eagerly.

I read that if you orgasm its more likely to be a boy, apparentlythe Ph inside you changes and kills off girl sperm???!!!! Who know eh? All i can say was i was too tired and poorly to have 1 this month so i will be testing the theory out!!!

Off to buy new bra for huge boobs If it wasn't for them i would forget i was pg. Baby dust to all xx

queenie1 · 16/01/2009 09:41

p.s. jools / wannabe / funtime - look forward to the collective testing on Sunday!! Sounds promising for all of you. Fingers crossed.

I don't know how you feel but as I get near to the end of the 2ww, I find it quite a relief as i'm about to find out for sure whether i am or am not PG (rather than my continual hoping beforehand). The 2ww drives me crazy. Wish there was a way of knowing instantly...
