yellowflowers · 03/02/2009 19:11

thanks funtime and will def keep an eye on it. and no doubt obsess about it on here every day - yawn. apologies in advance x

funtimewincies · 03/02/2009 18:49

Good luck iggy and Happy Birthday for tomorrow.

Yellow - usually CP +ve's disappear very quickly (mine was +ve, bled the next day and was -ve the day after that), although it does differ from person to person. Keep a close eye on it and if you're still getting a +ve a good week after bleeding, please make an appointment for your GP. It's very unlikely but period-heavy bleeds combined with a +ve can (and I only mean can, I don't want to panic you) be an ectopic sign, as it was for me. It also might be a pregnancy with some breakthrough bleeding or a CP. Sorry, I don't want to worry you, but if anything happened and I'd kept quiet I'd never forgive myself . Fingers crossed for you that it's a pg hanging on in there.

yellowflowers · 03/02/2009 18:42

We're dangerously close to 999 so have started new thread here

Hope that's okay. Will copy list over. xx

WanabeMum · 03/02/2009 18:25

Hmm Yellow that is weird. I'd leave it a few days then test again (the snow should have gone by then too). Fingers crossed though

Smiley i know what you mean, i too don't want to BD at all at the moment (7weeks tomorrow) much to DH's dissmay. I'm hoping once the initial panic of "am i going to get to my 12 week scan" are over my libido will come back? But i also have a stinking cold at the moment and feel like crap so could have something to do with it (or at least it gives me a break from him "pestering" me)

iggy it sounds positive for you though. Keep us posted and Happy Birthday for tomorrow! xxx

yellowflowers · 03/02/2009 16:58

hi wasabi - no tests left and don;t want to go out in snow to buy one. Thing is, it wasn't light bleeding, it was proper period bleeding.

wasabipeanut · 03/02/2009 16:17

C1ndy and Funtime you are ver cheeky No, the bd fest has yet to commence because I am a bit scared about infection. I have got a blood test at hospital tomorrow to hopefully confirm I am officially no longer pg so will ask then if it is safe to start again!

Yellow - this is most odd. If you are getting a faint BFP well then you really should be pg. Can you try tomorrow with FMU? Some wome do get lightish periods serveral months into pregnancy as I'm sure you know.

Iggy - happy birthday for tomorrow! A BFP would be a lovely pressie wouldn't it?

Sorry bit of a spped post as ds just waking from nap. Wil log in again this evening...

yellowflowers · 03/02/2009 15:25

happy birthday iggypiggy - how about testing tonight so doesn't ruin birthday and then if bfp great bday present and if not then test after your birthday
x

iggypiggy · 03/02/2009 14:57

yellow how frustrating and confusing for you I guess you just need to test again in a few days and see if line still there? not sure really..

iggypiggy · 03/02/2009 14:55

I might test tomorrow morning if no AF by then... but tomorrow is my birthday... so bad news could make me cross.

you lot are funny - I was doing well on resisting temptation...

yellowflowers · 03/02/2009 14:07

An odd day today..

First to recap - got a bfp and spotting on same day (last Thurs) which then turned into full period (last Fri) which finished yesterday (Mon) - so was spotting Thurs/Fri heavy Sat/Sun light Mon.

Last night when I went to bed I felt like my dinner hadn't been digested - really bloated and felt weird. Also in the day I felt seasick while on thetrain, if that makes sense, and did not want a hot drink when I met someone for work in a coffee shop, despite the cold.

Today I have felt a bit discombobulated and nipples hurt and needed a midday nap, so just weed on my final internet cheapie despite just having period. There is a very faint line but def a line and def within 10 mins. But as it follows a five day period does this mean it's the tail end of hormomes from a probably cp or something else?

Am all confused and also don't want to get dh excited again for no reason.

smileycat · 03/02/2009 13:55

No snow where I am (Gibraltar) just lots & lots of rain. I fly back to UK for half term on the 14th to visit the family on both sides (time to break the news) so hoping that the snow stays a little longer for ds, but not too heavy to stop the flights.

Enjoy the bding while you can, I've been off it since I got pg much to DH's disappointment he keeps asking me how I'm feeling, but I know he has a different agenda on his mind & not just asking me because he's concerned. I keep him happy but he feels like we've gone from none stop to a complete stop...but I really don't feel like it, I'm hoping once the hormones settle down I'll be back to my old self, but also worried that he feels like I've used him to get want I wanted (we wanted)...........so for all those dh/dp's that are complaining that they are getting too much tell them they can have a rest once the deed is done

funtimewincies · 03/02/2009 11:43

She might be too 'busy' to reply !

C1NDY · 03/02/2009 11:18

Wasabi How are you doing?? have you started bd?

OP posts:
funtimewincies · 03/02/2009 11:13

Oooh, iggy I too am bad and want you to test (and then I'll feel really horrible and guilty if you're disappointed) so I'm stuffing my mouth with biscuits to keep me quiet !

Still nice and snowy here. Ds goes to nursery one day a week as he loves it and I get work done, but I might ignore the bathroom (again ) and give in to the urge to plant some early peas and cauliflowers.

Also starting on the ov sticks this evening. It's been so long since I used one, I'll probably be back here asking what the lines mean .

C1NDY · 03/02/2009 10:56

Becky I made a wonderful snowman with the help of my sister!! Am in work today (sigh)

Started to feel a little tired and am craving red onions which I just have taken with some salad just this moment ago (at 10:30am) everyone in the office are wondering what i am doing eating onion early in the morning!! hehehe!

Iggy Let me know how you get on with the test.

iggypiggy · 03/02/2009 09:50

I am going to have long bath too

Then am going to go to supermarket - how exciting

I might give in yellow - but am convinced will be negative... might do one tomorrow first thing if no AF by then...

yellowflowers · 03/02/2009 09:42

oooh iggy - fingers crossed. Maybe one eensy weensy test... (I am bad, ignore me!)

I'm in London too and office closed. Going to have long bath then potter!

iggypiggy · 03/02/2009 09:21

morning all - is snowtastic in London still

My work shut again today (I could have made it in easily - I did yesterday - but was all shut...) So instead I have been out walking the dog since 7am he insane with delight at the snow

New from me is not really very interesting - no AF so far... but been feeling like AF is on the way (massive choc craving yesterday and cramps - but they gone for now).

Am not going to do a test tho - cos last month was a long 32 day cycle.. adn whilst normal for me is 27 day - am only CD29 today.. so AF prob on way..

Am finding the lure of the tests in the bathroom hard to resist tho..

BeckyMcG · 02/02/2009 21:26

Yeah - all the snow fun sounds great! I'm working from home tomorrow as is hubby so I might see if I can talk him into making a snowman and that will be only for our own benefit so no funtime I certainly do not think you're sad!
Like that wasabie - might become my new mantra - "you will see me for the godess I am!"
Girls - I am sure I will feel the same way as you by baby 2! But I will be repeating my mantra so will be fine :-)
Christmas baby would be nice Jools! I think there's plus and minus of all times of year.

funtimewincies · 02/02/2009 20:00

Know what you mean wasabi. I feel a complete lemon going for the posh bra and pants with my post ds belly, ectopic scars and wobbly cellulite. Mmmm, nice .

Why can't babies be conceived by magic like I believed when I was 5 ? I'm just fed up with all the faff!

wasabipeanut · 02/02/2009 19:20

And yes, ds has had a lovely time in the snow! He looked so cute in his wellies, duffel coat and hot pottering around with his wheelbarrow and spade. And then daddy came home from work early which was a brucie bonus for him.

Funtime - I think I was more excited when I saw the snow this morning than ds! If you want to make a snowman now he should still be there in the morning!

We've got no more forecast now

wasabipeanut · 02/02/2009 19:16

Ooooh what a day. Queenie - sorry you got the evil witch too.

Buggeration - this hasn't been a good month.

The whole business of how to handle ttc without going into so much detail you frighten dh/dp is a difficult one. Becky - your approach is great if you have the energy! And indeed body confidence. I love my ds dearly but the cs scar and that lovely little pouch that hangs over it means by stockings and suspenders days are behind me. I don't have an issue with dh seeing me naked but the idea of packaging myself now makes me feel daft!! I do try to wear nice undies for my confidence as much as his enjoyment but thats about as far as it goes!
How your dh reacts to the birth is anyones guess but I think most men just become in awe of their wives. I think they get over the gore pretty quickly and think you are a goddess for the service you have rendered. Which, frankly, you are.

Dh and I have vowed to have more sex all the time rather than just key times of the month. After my cycle gets back to normal I might even bin the OPK's. Might. I was going to do it before I got my BFP so I should continue really.

Hope everyone's week improves.

Wasabi xx

funtimewincies · 02/02/2009 19:04

My ds (aged 2) has been so excited today I think that he might actually pop. When he was too cold to play outside mummy made some biscuits (selflessly, obviously) so today was probably his perfect day.

So easily pleased, how it will all change when he's a teenager .

We've had another heavy fall of snow in the last couple of hours. Is it too sad for dh and I to sneak out and build a snowman when ds has gone to bed ?

yellowflowers · 02/02/2009 16:45

sorry about af queenie.

I made snowman this am then had work this pm. Keep putting bread out for the birds and it gets covered up before they eat it.

Southbank must be pretty today becky

Right ladies - February will be our month, I am sure of it!
