Hi All, have been on a couple of ttc hreads but due to sad arrival of af yesterday and x2 negative pg testa thought I'd start a September one.

We are ttc#2 we already have dd(2) and had a mc in September this will be cycle 3 since mc.

Mc hit me hard, more so than other adverse life events for some reason also head full of other stuff such as trying to complete a Post grad Diploma in Cognitive Therapy!!

Anyway want to try to be optimistic and hopeful and not (too!) obsessive this month!

Anyone else fancy joining?? xx

Grrrr I'm sooo Goddamn impatient - it's only CD17 and I hate this 2ww lark! Need to keep self busy instead of surfing baby websites and thinking baby names of unconceived child!!
It's easy to get a bit obsessive isn't it?

Sounds like great timing forces... good luck!

Irish, sorry you're feeling pms-y.... get yourself some emergency chocolate pronto

I'm feeling decidely un-pregnant, not feeling anything actually, not pms-y either, but that doesn't mean anything. Still fully expecting it to arrive tomorrow or Thursday.

irishmumwannabe · 06/01/2009 11:32

Welcome back Forces - hope the bd plans work out!

I am in such a foul mood today that I must be PMS rather than pg - have bitten the head off everyone around me - and I should be really happy as getting doggies tonight -

Ah well, trying to snap myself out of this funk or else I migth be out of a job!

ForcesSweetheart · 06/01/2009 00:26

Only just getting back to normal now almost a week after getting home from xmas at the folks, so hardly been online all week. Gonna take me another week to properly catch up on all the posts there've been here this week - so apologies in advance for the shortage of personal comments, I've only had a quick scan through!
Have updated the list for Tuesday seeing as it's gone midnight now.
Bubblebell welcome to the bottom of the list. Was looking a bit lonely down here since homeinthesun left us.
So sorry it didn't happen for you littlepea, was really hoping you'd get some good news. Good luck for next cycle, I'll probably see you over in the Oct thread before too long.
According to my TCOYF software I should be ov'ing around Saturday 17th Jan, so hopefully no mid-week cross-country treks to Blandford Camp this month. Pouncing on DH the moment he gets home on the Friday and trying for the Saturday and Sunday before he heads back too should give us as good a shot as any I reckon. The software reckons if I ov then my due date would be Oct 10th so with planned CS delivery 2 wks early it'd definitely still be a september baby.
Good luck everyone still waiting, I'm sure we're gonna see a fair few more BFPs before this thread's done.

Just a quickie - congrats Bubble on AF appearing and Mosschops for what it's worth, the last two times I was PG I distinctly remember feeling a gush of cm - was convinced it was either AF or that I'd wet myself - two weeks later hey presto, a BFP. For me a gush = a bean. Man, am I waiting for that gush right now

irishmumwannabe · 05/01/2009 16:23

Thanks for the advice mosschop ad Gareau if I only ov'd today that means my cycle is gone to pieces - I am usually a 26 - 27 dayer and this is CD 21 so unless I have the shortest lp ever I don't think I'm going to be successful this month. Ah well maybe DH will be up for some donation tonight!

Hopefully they are the kind of pains that mean implantation or something is going on - God it hurts though (fingers crossed it's not something worse)

On another note - DH and I are rehoming 2 dogs - I've told DH that he can practise on them and if he's good with tehm I'll let him help out with the baby!

minxofmancunia · 05/01/2009 16:06

sorry to hear about bfn mosschops fingers xed for Thursday!

I'm testing again on Thur if no af if still bfn will move to oct thread i think.xx

Gateau · 05/01/2009 16:04

The stars are not working; okay, fecked then.

minxofmancunia · 05/01/2009 16:03

Still no af here but a few cramps, sure she's on her way.

feel a bit more positive today, went o health food shop and the lovely woman was v helpful. Have bought fertility vits for me and dh, agnus castus and she's given me the number of a reflexologist who's had some good results re fertility recently, am willing to try anything!!

I think december was such a horrible stressful month I oved v late prob about day 26 (xmas day had ewcm and sharp pains but dismissed them, then have had achy boobs since).

Am feeling hopeful re ttc but dreading starting back at work tomorrow and Msc course on Thur. The stress nearly finished me off last term, am thinking of jacking it in and changing jobs soon after mat leave (if that happens) anyway, it's only when you're away from it you realise how nasty and stressful it all is.

Gateau · 05/01/2009 16:03

Oops, I meant my body's f**d.

Gateau · 05/01/2009 16:02

That sharp pain down one side can, I believe, also be middleschmerz, which is a sign of ovulation.
I had it two days ago. Not sure what the hell is happening with my body. It's f**d, I reckon.

mosschops30 · 05/01/2009 15:39

hey irish Im sure I read somewhere (either on here or some concieving website) that you can have pains down one side fingers crossed.

sorry littlepea , I love it when men say theyre not trying anymore lol, then they get offered it on a plate and they love it . dh was moaning last nite because I didnt want to go near him, he said 'and I suppose I'll be fighting you off in 10 days time'

I thought AF had arrived today, felt a sort of gush (sorry if TMI) rushed to toilets and nothing, not sure if thats bad or good I know nothing about CM when AF is due or youre pg.

littlepea72 · 05/01/2009 15:30

That is me out. Symptoms where so bad this time, i did think i was in for a chance. But because i felt sick, had sore boobs etc my hubby isnt talking to me, told me to go get myself sorted out! Oh and also told me that he wasnt trying again.... maybe a change of man is what i need next month

Anyway....i hope you all get BFPs, i will log on to see what is happening....bye xx

Gateau · 05/01/2009 15:17

Quick question as I'm at work:
There has been little BD-ing in Gateauland as my DH and I have been apart during my critical time (as far as I know it is, anyway.
Clutching at straws here, but is it possible to conceive on cd6/7 or cd 14 of a short cycle. My cycle varies between 23-25 days. Haven't a clue when or if I've ov'd this month as I've had no signs.

HeadFairy · 05/01/2009 14:03

Morethan, that is gruesomely fascinating. It's like a giant spot!!! bleurgh! I love the comment beneath.... too much information LOL!

bubblebell1 · 05/01/2009 13:50

hope you feel better soon irish

head i too thought i was ovulating! but nevermind lets hope i am working properly again.

morethan that article was really interesting. its wierd but thats not what i imagined them to look like mind you dont know what i did imagine them to look like

irishmumwannabe · 05/01/2009 13:10

Hi Everyone,

Sorry for all those who are out - mosschops here's hoping you get a bfp soon.

I've been feeling ill since Froday - on Friday I had to get up in the middle of the night and (TMI) had really bad diarrhoea (sp). Last night was the same - and now today have the most awful stomach cramps - can't think what it is. I also have a sharp pain in my left side quite low down my abdomen.

I've had some lunch but that hasn't helped (chicken and stuffing wrap and a pear)

Anyway just feeling sorry for myself. Hope everyone else is feeling good and I tell you I can't wait to do my test at the weekend. I'm resisting the "6 days before" tests - I must be strong!

MoreThanChocolate · 05/01/2009 12:40

Hi everyone hope the 2ww is not too punishing and brings the right results for you.

bubble i do find ovulation can sometimes be very painful - lasting a few hours usually - but if you got AF it seems unlikely it was that. Anyway hope you are ok now.

tmi alert
no wonder ovulation can hurt
please don't follow the link if you are squeemish (sp?)

  • i'm still waiting for mine this month so may be out of range for the chance of a september baby
HeadFairy · 05/01/2009 12:17

Hi everyone,

Sorry to hear about your bfn mosschops... you've still got a chance this week though, so hopefully it'll be a bfp by the end of the week.

Bubble, such good news to hear af has arrived, it is wierd though, cos everything you described sounded just like ov. Normally my cervix drops down before af, well in fact a couple of days after ov it drops down and hardens. Well, either way, it's nice to know where you are and finally put yourself on cd1!

Welcome to all the newcomers, hope this is your lucky month!

Homeinthesun, I'll probably be seeing you on the oct thread, feel very premenstrual

bubblebell1 · 05/01/2009 09:22

aww moss im sorry. fingers crossed you still get your bfp at the end of the week

well i did a test, last night because I couldnt wait
It was of course a BFN

I am consoling myself with the fact that AF is not due til Thurs and so may not be showing in tests and also did it last thing at night instead of with FMU

Still though and already feel I am going to turn into a total brat if not pg

HomeintheSun · 05/01/2009 08:24

I think looking at my dates I'll be out for a September baby after all, so I have up dated the list, packed my bags and I'm off to the October thread, thanks for having me it's been nice. Good luck everyone.
