Ov'd Tuesday 25th. I used a ebay cheapie and then a Clearblue OV digi stick just to make sure - so - it's offical, I'm on the 2ww. We BD cd11 cd13 cd15 cd16 cd17.

I'm feeling strangley optimistic this month, even though we've been trying for 5 years

Hi Folks - sorry am a bit behind, just wanted to say Xserial, it's especially hard when you've felt positive on a particular cycle isn't it - hugs to you xx

BBL and Ali - sorry to hear that the BFP's are being elusive for you, let us know how you get on. Hope you're feeling better BBL.

Any news MintChoc and Snowflake?

I too am aghast at the thought of having time to shag on Christmas day (and also fairly aghast at the thought of Tia Maria and OJ BBL - doesn't it curdle?? )

Re Xmas pigging out, I must admit I don't alter my lifestyle when ttc in terms of eating and drinking - prob because I've (kind of) been trying for nearly 8 years now and I'm a believer in getting on with your life and if it happens it happens. But for me it's only 'happened' once in 8 years so I guess I'm not a great advert for a life of non-deprivation - oh well!!

xserialshopper · 13/12/2008 12:10

Sex on Christmas Day How did she manage that I wonder

Well Mint we're hanging on for you with everything crossed.

Ali do you want one of my (many) cb preggi tests? so you can put us out of our misery

BBL urggghhhhh

Snow How are you doing darling?

I've already told DH to buy me some tia maria as my favourite drink at Christmas, and you might go 'blugghhhhh' but I like to drink tia maria and orange juice: tastes like chocolate orange!

We'd all have been feeling sick on Christmas day if we were pg now and feeling sick on Christmas day must be really tough! And we can drink cava as you say, eat pate, and wine and just take it easy. A friend of mine conceived on Christmas Day after 11 months of trying because she said it was the first time she just thought 'sod this!' and relaxed. My first reaction was: 'when on earth did you find time to have sex on Christmas day!!!!'

MintChocAddict · 12/12/2008 23:06

Sorry to hear your news BBL and Ali. Here's hoping January is lucky for you.
I don't think I'll be lucky this month either. Reckon AF will appear over the next 3-4 days if past few months anything to go by. Getting those AF signs.
I love Pate so will gorge on that if AF arrives.

Alibobster · 12/12/2008 22:02

Aww BBL and xserial I'm so sorry for your rotten news. I did another cheapo hpt first thing this morning and it was a BFN too. Let's just enjoy lots of pate, peanuts and cava over Christmas and make January our lucky month xxx

AF not here yet but just did a test: negatory. I don't feel pg anyway. Just waiting for blumin' AF to arrive now so I can get on with having a glass of wine and the monthly feeling sorry for myself!

MintChocAddict · 11/12/2008 21:57

Very frustrating Ali. Good luck if you decide to re-test soon. Fingers crossed for you.

Sorry to hear that AF got you xserial. Hopefully next month'll be your lucky one.

BBL - Ooooh keep us posted.

BeckyBendyLegs · 11/12/2008 17:44

AF is late! Too snotty to care at the moment though...sniff, sneeze, snot.

xserialshopper · 11/12/2008 16:37

Alibobster how frustrating I'm with FF and think you should maybe get a first response or a clearblue test.

BBL it could just be preggi symptons, though, my feelings of af coming were accurate at today is CD1 for me (af started last night)

Fingers and toes crossed for the rest of ya

ps I think the 'Pregnancy Test FAQ' section on that site is the best one to look at.

FertilityFiend · 11/12/2008 15:50

Alibobster - gosh how frustrating! Sounds inconclusive really. A line within 10 mins does sound hopeful, but I wouldn't want to raise your hopes unless you've had a 'definite' positive within the time they say.

Different brands of tests do have different reactivity strengths, so that may be confusing things. Also factors like how concentrated your wee is when you test may have an effect at this early stage.

Unfortunately the only real answer is to wait a day or so and do another one, or possibly to go to the chemist and get one of the super-sensitive ones which should hopefully give you a better indication one way or the other.

This site may help with more info

GOOD LUCK !!!!!!

Alibobster · 11/12/2008 15:05

Anyone around??

Alibobster · 11/12/2008 14:09

Snowflake, many, many congratulations, I'm so pleased for you, a lovely Christmas present . Xserial, belated birthday wishes x. Well I really need your advice ladies. Did an Asda hpt on Tuesday afternoon (Day AF was due) and got a -. Did another this morning first thing and got a faint +. What's bothering me though is it says the result will appear between 1-5 mins but don't read the results after 10 mins. My positive result appeared sometime between 5-10 mins, but I'm not sure if this is valid? Did a a cheap test at lunchtime and it was -. Totally confused now

BeckyBendyLegs · 11/12/2008 11:32

AF due around 4pm today. Not here yet... I can feel it coming though.

MintChocAddict · 10/12/2008 21:19

Huuuuge congrats Sn0wflake. What lovely news. Gives all of us awaiting AF some hope.

Sorry you're not feeling so positive xserial. You never know... hang on in there.

BBL - I've had a rotten cold too and choking, snorting, sneezing. It's v attractive isn't it?

BeckyBendyLegs · 10/12/2008 19:38

Yeahhhhh SnOwflake. That's fab! That's lovely news. I did say that pg symptoms are the same as AF symptoms! My AF isn't here yet but I have a stinking cold so my symptoms right now are: snotty nose, sneezing all the time, temperature, sore nose. Does that mean I am pg? Hmmm. Hang on....another one coming on....ATTTISHOOOOOUUUUUU! I look and feel like a lemsip advert right now.

xserialshopper · 10/12/2008 15:02

Thanks everyone and

wow Sn0wflake, CONGRATULATIONS. Yay Ooooh So this will be a September baby - maybe? Fingers crossed that all goes well

As for me, my cb is telling me I'm not preggi - so onwards & upwards[fsigh emoticon]

I'll still be checking in on the rest of ya

Snowflake - wow congrats!! Hurrah - a BFP on this thread

Whenever I try and remember what it was like in v early pregnancy all I can remember is that for several days I was convinced AF was about to start as I was getting bad cramps - several times I got the tampons out, but... nothing. Then I twigged that I was actually late and got the shock of my life when I finally got round to testing on day 36.

Happy Birthday for yesterday xserial - hope you had a good day

Sn0wflake · 10/12/2008 10:07

Morning. Happy Birthday for yesterday xserial.

Well I actually tested last night - with one of my cheap tests and I was really surprised when I got a line! Then I got my clear blue digital and it said 'pregnant'. I'm gobsmacked. I really didn't think I was. I had no symptoms whatoever untill day 28 when I started feeling very subtle nausea. And before that the sensations were exactly like a period coming on. Last night things hurt a bit - but still feels like period pains. So there you go.

MintChocAddict · 09/12/2008 22:26

Happy birthday xserial. Hope you've had a nice day.

I prefer knicher to knicker anyway!!

Loads of luck if testing tomorrow to you, Sno and anyone else who's testing. Everything crossed for you all.

xserialshopper · 09/12/2008 14:15

Knicker checkers [sigh emoticon]

OP posts:
xserialshopper · 09/12/2008 14:11

Hi all ((waves))

Well af hasn't turned up yet.

I'm joining the 'test or not to test' brigade I might test tomorrow if af hasn't turned up - but then again I might wait a little longer as I can definatley feel af on her way If I do decide to test tomorrow I'm going to use my last ebay cheapie

Bendy wow I'm well impressed with the perfection of your cycle

FF I'm on the B6 as well - and - it has varied my cycles abit. I used to be dead on 28 days (with 1 long cyle each year of about 35 days) but with the B6 I vary between 26-28 days (though this is cycle day 29).

Ali I'm with you girl can't make up my mind about testing. Whenever I test, I definately wont be using my cb tests I've been in this game way to long to do that

Snow it sounds really promising. When ever you test make sure you use your FMU (first morning urine) as it should your most concentrated (I think)

Mint Oooooh, only a few more days to go

Isn't if funny? If you get a BFP we then will become knicher checkers

It's my birthday today That's one of the reasons why I haven't tested - I couldn't bear to be disappointed as the odds are stacked against me.

Hey Becky. i think you should talk yo your partner. He may be scared to talk to you just in case he upsets you. If you start the conversation you may find that he has been thinking about it.

Anyway no AF yet. If not here by tomorrow will test. I have very vague sickness...but I can't get past the thought that it's probably in my head as I really have felt like AF is on the way.

BeckyBendyLegs · 09/12/2008 09:24

Hi m2o thank you that is sweet of you. DH hasn't even said anything but he is really busy at the moment with work. He's much more a head-in-the-sand person anyway - don't talk about it and it won't be so bad.
