OK girls, will go and get the list, but have lots of comfy sofa's and chairs, chocolate cake and virtual champagne.

Good luck and positive vibes to us all!

Beanie It's true for everyone in Cardiff. The only way to have a nuchal is to do it privately (at the cost of £180 in Bupa). My MW told me that they are currently planning to introduce the Nuchal on the NHS in Cardiff over the next few years (once the research has been completed?!). It's such a postcode lottery - the NHS offer it routinely in Neath.

beanieb · 19/04/2009 00:39

to be honest, until I looked it up today, I wasn't entirely sure what a Nuchal Scan is

I am taking my last Clomid pill tomorrow. All that freaking out (Again!) and I have had very few side effects. I was so worried about getting depressed but I have been really 'up' and hyper today. Just hope that the side effects don't come after you stop taking them!

I think now I just have to have sex every other day up to ovulation and then every day for a few days. Who knows if it will work. Worth a shot though!

Good luck for the 2WW kay
hi shayera, hope Mr Shayera's rash clears up and you get the appointment sorted.

ClaireDeLoon · 18/04/2009 22:08

beanie I think here they don't do nuchal scans, so my gp told me when I went at 6 weeks pregnant, I was 35 so in the hig risk category. It's not right imo, you're getting a scan at that point anyway so why not do the nuchal tests too. Yet friends in different areas who had their children young got nuchal scans, go figure.

Kay4MattTTC · 18/04/2009 16:14

afternoon all.

i am now on CD18. so in the 2ww. i have no symptoms as of yet but will keep everyone posted.

claire: dont yet yourself down. just think posative. have a virtual hug.

Shayera: hiya.

big waves to everyone.

beanieb · 18/04/2009 15:23

Sparkly - I didn't know that about the Nuchal scans! Is that true even for older mums? I am in Cardiff.

ShayeraHol · 17/04/2009 22:16

Evening all. Am being rubbish about posting at the moment. Kind of on a "why bother" about the whole thing until appointment comes through now. This month is out as Mr. Hol has got a nasty rash in a place (he says it's from the running) and doesn't want to take any risks, so we are a no bonking house!

Quick rant time: stupid, STUPID NHS choose & book service annoyed me - asked to find out waiting time of assorted hospitals, they said they could get GWH to call me back to let me know, turned out they just got GWH to book me in! Secretary at my GP said she wasn't surprised and it was typical "get rid of query" action. Have second letter coming through anyway to fix the wrong hospital problem, am going to go straight to Royal Berks.

So to catch up:
beanie & Pistachio, sorry you're back to the top. Let's keep stuff crossed for the Clomid beanie!
Lou, WOOHOO! So happy for you.
migola, glad everything's going well so far
Mollie, Hope the wobblies aren't too bad. positive thoughts galore your way
Claire, hope you're feeling a bit better.
zen, great attitude
And hi to Kay! Welcome.

SparklyPseudonym · 17/04/2009 16:30

Hi ladies,
Just popping in to see how you all are. Had private Nuchal today (they don't offer them on NHS in Cardiff) and baby was looking fine. There is a pic on my profile. Despite not having any pregnancy symptoms and experiencing brown spotting throughout it looks as though things are going to be ok. Can't quite believe it or relax but need to start having faith.
Beanie I really hope the side effects don't get any worse and that one round of clomid will be all you need. Good luck - I'll be checking in on you.
Mollie As I've said..you know where I am when those wobbly moments come. You will get there.
Claire I am so sorry you're stuggling at the moment. Lots of positive vibes to you. Hope you're starting to feel a little better.
Migola Congrats to you.
Zen Always good to have something waiting for the egg to arrive. Good luck.
Pistachio This place if full of useful knowledge. Have you tried pre-seed yet?

Hello to everyone else and lots of baby dust to all.

beanieb · 16/04/2009 23:03

No major side effects apart from feeling really emotional and sensitive about things. Just had a talk with my OH about how I am perceiving his behaviour towards me. I felt like he had withdrawn from me and wasn't even making eye contact or smiling at me. He says he thought I was being so sensitive about everything that it was best to withdraw! I think we understand eachother a bit more.

Only other thing that happened was that last night I woke up in the middle of the night and thought I had wet the bed. What had actually happened was I was sweating so much I was soaking wet! Took me ages to work out that I must be having a hot flush!

ClaireDeLoon · 16/04/2009 20:16

I'm OK thanks beanie and Mollie, thank you for your kind words.

Mollie I so hope that everything is OK, I hope they let you have the early scan. My heart goes out to you it really does.

Molliemooma · 16/04/2009 19:33

Lou Congratulations on your BFP, take care of yourself and your little bean
PL Sorry she got you
Beanie How's it going with the Clomid, any side effects?
Zen Sounds like your a girl with a mission
Claire I'm sending you a virtual hug, hope you feeling a little better today

Been having a few wobbly moments over the last day or two but have booked in with GP for next week when I am 6 wks, will try and get a scan for 8wks as the last two LO's died between 5-7 wks. I think I find it easier to expect the worst

Today is a year on from my due date, our baby was due 15 April 2008. This time last year I was distraught at not being pregnant again after the miscarriage the previous September. Now I'm just resigned I think. I don't think we'll ever have children.

Sorry for the me me me post and I'm not really all that down, just a bit thoughtful.

Mammina · 15/04/2009 14:58

hello back to beanieb & mollie - sorry didn't reply straight away have been moving house & visiting my parents (still there so not on line much).
mollie am 25 weeks already, don't know whether it's a boy or a girl, want a surprise and really don't mind either way what it is as long as it's healthy (such a cliche but true)
xxx

ClaireDeLoon · 14/04/2009 22:00

Good luck Beanie, I really hope the clomid does the job.

Lou, fantastic news!! Everything crossed for you.

zen1980 · 14/04/2009 21:17

Hey everyone

PL sorry AF got you she is a cow that way!! I'm with you with waiting until 3weeks late next time. You can always gurantee that you will be late do a test and within the hour AF arrives, its like she laughs at us for peeing on the money

Beanie - your first tablet i will raised a virtual glass to you tonight, although am not touching the drink at the mo.

Louis - well done hun very pleased for you, hope you have a healthy pregnancy x

Well still no sign on opk but am going for it anyway, can do any harm can it ?
have not done the tests everyday but very much doubt have missed it yet. Hope everyone is enjoying a short week x x

Kay4MattTTC · 14/04/2009 16:26

thankQ beanieb and dont worry we are getting plnty of practice in

beanieb · 14/04/2009 16:18

Don't give up kay, keep getting the practice in when you can because you may ovulate later than you expect.

PL the wedding is July and just a small affair. Something to look forward to

Kay4MattTTC · 14/04/2009 13:46

afternoon all. hope everyone is oki.

here's an update about me:
i am now on CD14. hopeing there is a chance somthing might happen after last night , but not sure anything has cause i haven't noticed an ovulation on my FC again . today i am feeling pritty . so thinking i might stay indoors.

PistachioLemon · 14/04/2009 11:45

Yeah, I bet so too! Although I'm very proud of myself this month for waiting until I was actually late for once. Well, as we're almost cycle buddies we will have to hold each other's hands this month.

It's amazing what you learn on here. I had no idea about most stuff until I joined and naively presumed that if we did the deed somewhere around the middle of the month I'd get up the duff quick sharpish. I think this month I'm going to try the OV strips again and not chicken out like I did last month when nothing had shown by CD16...

Oh, and when is your wedding? That's so exciting, what sort of thing have you got planned?

beanieb · 14/04/2009 10:53

oooh I meant

beanieb · 14/04/2009 10:50

hiya PistachioLemon , HPTs seem to have that effect on me too! Bet we both still test early though!

Because I am ovulating I take the Clomid from days 2 to day 7 of my cycle but I think for people who aren't ovulating they have to take it a bit later. I have 3 months worth, so 18 tablets all together - only a low dose.

Thanks for the crossed fingers, mine are crossed for you too! Xmas Grin

PistachioLemon · 14/04/2009 10:40

Morning Beanie. I thought I would be back at the top but I'm still a bit sad. It's amazing how HPTs bring on AF - I did one this morning (I was beginning to wonder what was going on) BFN and then AF within half an hour. Ha! That will teach me. I swear I'm not going to bother with tests next month unless I'm at least 10 days late (remind me of that please when the time comes!).

Well done on taking the chlomid. I'm really ignorant in these things - do you just take it once a month? Or do you take it every day for three months? I'm crossing fingers toes and everything for you, I hope so much it works.

beanieb · 14/04/2009 10:30

Morning PistachioLemon sorry to see you back at the top.

Have taken my clomid!

PistachioLemon · 14/04/2009 10:26

Oh Lou that's lovely news. Sending you good vibes for a healthy happy pregnancy

I was worrying this morning about so much and even started worrying about the wedding. Plans are pootling along so I really need to get some speed up and arrange things for the party!

zen sorry to hear your period was just hiding away for so long, what a pain!
