love the new thread title!

I have stopped (finally)feeling sorry for myself after a month of weekly acupuncture. it is FAB. I am very chilled, have cried lots, which i think has helped me finally let go of the baby. I am looking forward to Crimbo and spending time with my lovely nieces.
Sorry for not being around much, didnt want to drag everyone down along with me.
Am feeling much more positive, and hoping for a BFP for me and all the other people on here who have been waiting for so long and being so lovely and supportive.

So...my story...lets see if i get all the abbreviations right!! ttc dc #1 since May / June... no luck yet. Regular AF's which is good cos I don't have the whole thing of when should i test?

Morning all. Went to the Hospital today to see a Urologist as I had a scan a few months ago and they found intermittent swelling in my Ureta valve. Not sure what I expected but I feel disappointed. I went originally because I had a swollen node in my groin and pains just below my ribs. Anyway the Dr I saw said they shouldn't really have used the term intermittent as it doesn't make sense for that part of the body. She says it may not be a urology thing but they are going to send me for some kind of injection into my veins and an xray!

I told her I was TTC so she said I should take a urine sample when I get the appointment as they will need to check that I am not pregnant.

Then...

ahe asked me how many times I have sex :O! I told her that I was using a fertility monitor so we went for it during my fertile time nad she said from a urologists point of view I should be having sex every two days!!

I know some people think you should have a day on then a day off, but every two days?!? Her reason was that my OH would be 'pumping out low quality sperm'

I always thought this was rubbish and that the accepted method was to just have sex as much as possible?

Then she said 'oh I know what it's like, me and my friends have been through all this and it's so commen for women to have children late as they build their careers'!!

I'm really annoyed. She's presumably not a fertility expert? I know she was trying to be kind bu my career has sod all to do with me not having had babies yet.

I love the Christmas decs (but not as much as I love the champagne!)

I've just worked out I'll be ovulating over Christmas week around 22nd onwards and we're both off work so we'll be able to pretend we're just having relaxing holiday sex not having a baby sex

Take care of yourself Sparkly, I am fine DH being very calm about TTC, but despite being checked over, everything 'normal', timing things well and evidence of temp checks...no result yet.

I give myself 5/10 for the ovulation, perhaps bumping up to 8/10 for timing the BD. Hoping for a 10/10 this month. Tis' the season..well will almost be when the next OV occurs.

hi everyone!!! i bloody lost you all!! not to worry found you now! love the new place, very nice! although i do hope we arent here long!
i am now cd20 and having to literally sit on my hands not to test. there's no point as it will be NFN at the mo anyway so why do i have the urge to do it! insane!! my cycle is average 25 days but it known to go 2 27- 29 rarely. my yongest is only 9 1/2 months so cycle still hasnt settled down as such.
