OK girls, will go and get the list, but have lots of comfy sofa's and chairs, chocolate cake and virtual champagne.

Good luck and positive vibes to us all!

Had a similar positive story from someone at work - she went through all the testing, IVF investigations and the works, and was told she'd never have kids - now she has 2!

beanieb · 22/01/2009 20:44

Zen, I am sure you will too, hopefully we'll all be planning our maternity leave this year. A positive attitude is what I need to take me through the next stages. I read today that these HSG things often result in women being more fertile the month after they have it, don't know how true it is but I'll be trying extra hard the month after I have mine.

Shayera Good luck with the Doc, totally sympathise with the feeling down about it, hopefully the doctor can move things forward for you. Sorry about the heavy bleeding . A woman I work with is having her baby today (planned C-Section); she had been told she would never be able to have another, as she has PCOS, but then fell pregnant naturally. So there are happy endings out there.

Nothing planned this Weekend zen, just the Big Brother final and waiting for my period to arrive

ShayeraHol · 22/01/2009 19:44

I'm taking your advice - will be speaking to the doc on Monday afternoon (I hope - they have a crazy system where I have to phone at lunchtime to book a callback with the doc, who will then decide if I need to go in or not!). Never thought I'd reach the point of needing to have this conversation so a little bit down - plus 2 pregnancies announced at work in the last week, including one which was accidental.

Bleeding heavier today, probably CD1 (giving it another couple of hours before I update the list though as it's only been since this afternoon!)

beanie, seems Clomid is worth a go if the IVF's a no go - can't believe you missed by 2 months, how irritating for you. Hope the positivity works out

Comma, can't believe the line went! Boooo. Makehubby buy you pretty things to make up for unreasonable behaviour I say...

Mollie - can't BELIEVE they messed up your tests! So does this mean you're delayed in starting again?

Hi to everyone else!

zen1980 · 22/01/2009 19:38

Hi everyone,
Beanie - pleased your tests are nearer for you, and I agree the last straw is a way away yet, you do have to stay positive, I'm now more of a firmer believer these things will work out for us.

Comma - sorry about your bfp but you never know test again if af doesnt come this happened to me.

Mollie - Good news about getting closer to your answers x

I'm feeling a lot better than I did, going to get back into my frame of mind I was before pg, where we were excercising, continue to eat healthy. We are just going to wait until i have proper af this month and then carry on TTC. I am reassured that I will hopefully be more fertile after the op I had so for the moment am clutching onto that for hope. Am being told its a bit like riding a bike, and we tried for all those months before so will keep on, and positive I will be taking maternity leave at some point this year. xx

Hope everyone else is ok and looking forward to weekend, does anyone have any plans ? x

beanieb · 22/01/2009 14:48

Comma - sorry to hear your BFP disappeared. Aren't blokes annoying sometimes.

Good luck with the other tests Mollie. Fingers crossed that we both find something that can be fixed. I really want mine to do a post-coital test so may mention it to them next time.

Good luck with the Clomid Pinkie - have you not had any mood swings at all?

I have decided I need to be more positive, even when I am not feeling it. My OH is being slowly chipped away at by my negativity and it's just not fair on him, I feel. So I am going to be positive about having just had my first appointment and the fact that these tests are all going to be done soon

Comma2 · 21/01/2009 23:54

Mollie and Beanie, all the best to you. I hope they find soemthing they can easily fix for both of you.

Beanie, I know two girls that were on clomid, and it wasn't too bad at all. Chin up. The last chance is not for a long while yet.

Shayer, I would talk to the doctor about the spotting too. It might be something he wants to have a look at.

Oh oh, my little line is gone today....of course I tested again. Anyway, told DH about it yesterday, and he said I shouldn't have tested and then up and went. Pffff. (I know, but) he could have been a bit nice about it anyway....

Molliemooma · 21/01/2009 20:48

Zen How are you doing? I'm thinking of you
thegreatescape So sorry TEW got you
Shayer Is it worth booking an appt with the doctor to discuss your spotting? Especially if it's only just started over the last few cycles?
Blackrock How lovely to hear from Migola so pleased for her and hope she sent sacks full of baby dust? How are you doing?
Claire Did you go anywhere nice?
Comma How exciting! Such restraint I'd be testing the next day
pinkie Lovely to "see" you again, really hope you caught the egg this time
Beanie Glad OH has finally caught on to how emotional this journey is for you (and I don't mean the one just in the car!) So glad you have finally got the ball rolling, lets hope they don't keep you waiting for the scans etc. How fantastic would twins be! If it's triplets could I have one please? Pretty please

Well I got some of my test results back this week, my Cariolipin antibodies were negative, they labelled by lupus anticoagulant wrong, (bloody cheek after they took an hour to get blood out of me ) so I have to get that redone, still a few more results and the one I'm dreading which is the chromosome compatability. Probably won't get that til our appt on the 17th Feb. I think I really want them to find something wrong that they can "fix" so I might be a little less terrified entering a 4th pg knowing they are doing something to help! Mollie breathes deeply chanting "positive thinking"!

beanieb · 21/01/2009 15:24

Forgot to add, they had my scan in my file - the one I had for my Swolen node where they mistakenly thought I was there for a fertility scan. Had to explain yet again that this was not a fertility scan but she said they had noted on it that my uterus was 'speckled'.

when I asked what 'spackled' meant she said 'I don't know'

beanieb · 21/01/2009 15:09

I'm just a bit about Clomid for me, as I know I ovulate regularly and I also have killer PMT so am pretty sure my OH can do without any added mood swings - infact I could do without them TBH!

Just told my mum about the apointment and she mailed back saying 'oooh twins!' about the slight rise in multiple births through Clomid. I would be so happy with twins as I really do feel this is my last chance now.

Maybe I should do a bit of that Cosmic ordering!

pinkie08 · 21/01/2009 14:23

HI beanieb

The freaking out and crying is normal, go with it. It always makes me feel better.

The clomid is not so bad. I havent had any side effects other than bit of insomnia and have tried to pretend that its training for the eventual baby

Am sure it will be ok big ((hugs))

beanieb · 21/01/2009 14:03

Afternoon.

well, I had my appointment with IVF Wales today. We got caught up in a huge traffic jam on the way which made me burst into tears and freak out that I was going to miss it and they would have to put me on the waiting llist again. Was ok though and we were only 20 minutes late.

So they went through our medical history and I have to have blood tests done on day 3 of my cycle (they are not doing the 21 day test again for some reason), an internal scan sometime between day 5 and 10, and an HSG at another hospital.

She told me I had missed being eligible for free IVF by 2 months though I knew this anyway and that if my tubes weren't blocked they will probably prescribe Clomid, which I am not sure I am happy with but what can I do?

I am on day 21 of a 24 day cycle so am really hoping they contact me for the HSG as soon as possible so I can have it this coming cycle rather than next.

Crying and freaking out in the car has hopefully brought it home to my OH how horribly stressful and emotional I am finding all this but I am not sure, I think he thinks I am a mad woman a lot of the time - I tried to explain that the reason I was so upset was because this appointment was the only thing I felt optimistic about RE my 'issues' for a long time. He was just more concerned about me being negative, but as I tried to explain missing that appointment would have been so hard for me. Thank goodness we made it.

pinkie08 · 21/01/2009 10:12

shayerahol sorry that its that way for you, it was for me too til i went on the clomid. I think its fairly common so dont get too stressed. big (((hugs)))

ShayeraHol · 20/01/2009 20:12

Sounds exciting, Comma!

Same old same old for me - light bleed this morning which faded to nothing by end of day. I hate this, it means that I keep getting my hopes up that it might be an implantation bleed when I know that's highly unlikely (given I'm 3 months similar pattern now). Why can't I just be normal

pinkie08 · 20/01/2009 19:40

Hi all,

Not been on in ages as been trying not to overdose on the mning and the ttc bit.

Congrats to all those BFPS

I had my first visit to the fertility clinic on the 12thJan(cd11) and had bloods and scan, results next monday. They did see one dominant follicle so came home and bded cd11,12, 13, 14, 16 am really quietly hoping that we caught that little egg but with my luck it was probably an empty follicle.

Got dragging pain in my leg which is an af sign for me but way too early as only cd19

Keep arguing with DH over my MIL so am going to bed soon in a mood.

Lots of baby dust to all

blackrock · 20/01/2009 16:43

Swirling dust about methinks...Good luck for next test Comma2

Comma2 · 20/01/2009 14:27

Ooooh. I just did a test, knowing it is much too early, but was in a devil-may-care mood. Nothing, but 30 min walked back into bathroom, and there is a veeeeery faint line! It's definitely there, but could be a lousy test (is cheapo ebay test) and it's not to the point where I would dare call the doctor. He told me call early though, bc of miscarriage-risk. Think will wait 2 days and test again.

Would be so glad if DH's surgery paid off....

blackrock · 20/01/2009 14:12

Migola just had a scan, and spotted a wriggling he/she. She passed on some baby dust to all of us.

Feeling more relaxed this week, and managing to apply some aspects of the CBT techniques!

beanieb · 20/01/2009 10:05

Morning all, wave to Claire and Shayera sorry to see you have spotting again.

Huge rages yesterday so am guessing it's PMT so my period will be here in a few days. I am just a horror when I have PMT and it's driving my OH nuts.Yesterday I just thought 'sod it, maybe I should go back on teh pill' but I have my appointment soon and I need to remain positive. Though at this rate I'll have no one to have children with if I keep ranting at my OH like I do!

ClaireDeLoon · 19/01/2009 23:42

Hey all

Sorry to thegreatescape and Mollie I'm glad you'll be trying again soon!!

How is everyone else? Been having computer problems then a weekend away for DP's birthday.

Comma2 · 19/01/2009 23:00

Oh no, Shayera and Escape! Have a drink!

I keep bursting into tears and don't know if it's hormones or because I'm so happy about the inauguration tomorrow....

blackrock · 19/01/2009 22:16

I briefly saw Migola on another thread today, jI just waved and then thought i should have asked how it was all going! Will try to find her, and ask this time.

ShayeraHol · 19/01/2009 19:47

Spotting today. Dammit.
