Just popping in (whilst also doing important work things ) to see how you are PnM and how it all went?? Lots of love and hugs to you. XX

I'm busy tonight, but will be back to speak to you all properly tomorrow!!

JollyBear · 11/12/2008 16:50

Hurray MOB, two chicks in the nest! I'm so pleased for you. How very exciting, I've never been a cyber Auntie to twins before!

caitni Damn and blast your AF, I was feeling so hopeful when I read your symptoms. I hope you do manage to relax over Christmas (easier said than done I know) and you get a new year BFP.

MrsH This spotting sounds a bit odd. COuld it be related to the procedure you had recently?

ei How are things with you? Any symptoms? I love your festive name .

PnM Hope the investigations went OK today and you enjoyed a restful afternoon on the sofa. From what you have said about her before your SIL sounds quite sensitive to your TTC so she would understand if you found it a difficult situation.

I don't know if GG ever lurks but if you do, hello and I hope things are going well for you and Mr GG.

The countdown to the arrival of the jollycub is certainly on now, only 4 more sleeps .

Caitni · 11/12/2008 16:33

Also hope you're OK PnM - was the HSG ok?

Sorry to hear you're still spotting MrsH - most frustrating. It makes every trip to the loo stressful...but I'm glad you're seeing the doc tomorrow, as they should (hopefully!) be able to give good advice about it.

Well I'm now spotting so bloody AF is going to show up tomorrow right on cue . Am feeling quite fecked off with the whole ttc malarkey today. Sick of the whole emotional rollercoaster of hopes rising/hopes dashed - I've decided I can't face all this over Christmas/New Year so I'm going to avoid temping/clearblue monitor and just try to relax and enjoy Christmas [half hearted smile emoticon].

MOB hope the happy news has sunk in . I must say it's been great being able to tell my DH about your progress, as it makes him think that IVF/ICSI is ruddy marvellous! He told me last night that he'd secretly love twins

Waves to Ei (any symptoms young lady ) and JB and Abby (not long now til you meet your babies ). And hope our cyber babies are all doing well in time for their first Christmas

MrsHappy · 11/12/2008 13:52

I hope you're ok.

MrsHappy · 11/12/2008 07:38

Lots of luck for your HSG today PnM. I am hoping it will flush a wee something out out your tubes and then you will promptly get pg with two dolly mixtures! Just try to stay as relaxed as you can and if need be take some deep abdominal breaths when they are messing around with your foof. It'll be fine, I am sure.

Caitni I second the wrist-slapping (although I deserve a slap too...). No matter how you look at it 'tis very good that your LP might be a little longer, no?

Ei I hope all is well. Are you somewhere around 8 dpo too?

MOB is the reality of two little babies hitting home?! Hey, at least it wasn't four! There seems to have been a number of multiples coming out of the AC thread lately. The two embryo thing is clearly a good thing.

I am still spotting here and feeling sick and not really sure what to make of it all. I did poas, which is terribly clever as I am 8dpo! I can't help thinking that my cycle is v screwed up and this is more likely to be something defective than implantation. I am seeing the quack tomorrow and so will mention this. It's grim, spotting all the time...

Caitni · 10/12/2008 23:35

thanks for the little wrist slapping PnM - I deserve it . The good thing about it was it brought me back down to earth so feeling a lot calmer (). Good luck tomorrow xx.

PicknMix · 10/12/2008 22:55

WOOOOHOOOO MOB

Sooooo pleased all went well at the scan and even more pleased to hear that TWO little chicklet hearts were seen

Ei, no worries about being left behind, I'll still be here with you - my looooooong cycles mean that I'll still be waiting for my egg 'til way after Christmas

Loving the symptoms MrsH, although was a bit concerned to read about your erratic bleeding, hope you mention this to the consultant. Fab that DD enjoyed her FC trip! Am for you Ei that he gave your DD lipgloss

Caitni - great that your appt went so well. Fab that she seems so proactive about setting the ball rolling for you. Am sorry to hear about the bfn, but really, it doesn't count and big slapped wrists for testing at night, at only a possible 10dpo.

Can't believe we'e all such a creative lot what with your sewing/knitting MrsH and your tapestry Mob - I know where to come for some advice now

My appt is at 9 tomorrow so at least it will be done and out the way quickly. Good advice re painkillers MrsH, will take a few nurofen before I go. Will be rattling as am well into my anti-biotic concoction now (4 of one type, 2 of another per day) plus various vitamins and sinus tabs to get rid of a cold I've picked up. Have had SIL and her 3 children over and invariably seem to have inherited their snot

I have the funniest feeling that SIL is about to announce baby number 4 in the not too distant future. Have had this feeling 3 times before, and yep, she has 3 children so I'm hoping I was 3 times lucky as not sure I could perform the necessary niceties and smiling required this time

Will let you know just how pathetic I am and how high my pain threshold tomorrow xx

PicknMix · 10/12/2008 22:32

I'm here too!!!

Just going to have a good catch up then will be back in a sec

Caitni · 10/12/2008 22:26

I'm also around!

MOB still so happy for you - such great news!! MrCaitni also sends his congrats .

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you MrsH - a Crimbo BFP from you would be fab!

My feet are back on the ground - did a test and BFN. Which is what I expected testing at 11dpo in the evening . Still no spotting though am thinking there's a risk I ovulated a day later than I thought, which would possibly make me 10dpo. Still, am telling myself I'm glad there's no spotting . Though am also fervently hoping I just tested too early .

PnM good luck tomorrow - here's hoping it shows your tubes are nice and clear

DingDongMerrilyOnEI · 10/12/2008 21:32

mrsH im around as usual
symptoms sound good lol
xx ei xx

MrsHappy · 10/12/2008 21:21

MrH sends his congratulations too, MOB.

Just when I was starting to think this thread was cursed you pulled off a seriously good result. Huzzah!

Now the rest of us need to get our BFPs so we can start that ex-wimblewai(n)f antenatal thread.

Quiet on here tonight. Is everyone ok?

No change here - still having cramps but spotting has stopped. My left boob is sore but that seems to happpen when it is cold in general!

DingDongMerrilyOnEI · 10/12/2008 19:49

MOB in hope you dont mind too much but i have emailed bucky to let her in on the excellent news
xx ei xx

MrsHappy · 10/12/2008 19:19

I KNEW IT!

I'm thrilled for you, Mr Mob, your girls and the chicks! How bloody marvellous!

DingDongMerrilyOnEI · 10/12/2008 19:18

xx ei xx

Caitni · 10/12/2008 18:56

Oh MOB! I'm so happy for you and your DH - Congrats on your two little chicks! I'm on the train grinning from ear to ear for you...

Madoldbird · 10/12/2008 17:33

Well ladies....

It's twins
Two little heartbeats seen, and all is looking good. We are utterly delighted, if a little stunned!! We had suspected, as i have been feeling so sick & tired.

In a bit of a rush, as off to a school carol concert, but interested to see some symptoms MrsH & Caitni!

Caitni · 10/12/2008 16:38

Those symptoms sound quite promising to me MrsH but then I've also turned into a symptom spotting fiend . My main symptom being that I've no spotting yet - I've had spotting by 11 dpo on all cycles I've recorded this year except the one I got a BFP on (can you tell I've been on FF )...have also been peeing more often (I even had to stop off to use the toilets at St Pancras on my way to work this morning as needed to go so badly when I got off the train - that has never ever happened to me before!)...am trying (possibly failing!) to keep a grasp on reality though .

MOB hope the scan went OK?

Caitni xx

MrsHappy · 10/12/2008 14:30

Just checking in to see how MOB's scan went.

Caitni how annoying about the hot-desking lack of privacy...

Hope everyone is ok.

Am symptom spotting like a demon today! I had a tiny bit of spotting, some cramping and the sight of the sandwich my colleague was buying turned my stomach.

I will NOT be getting my hopes up this month...

Caitni · 10/12/2008 11:20

Just a quick note to say good luck to MOB today.

We're in our brand new offices today - all hotdesking and 21st marvels - but it does mean my work internetting will have to reduce (my screen is visible to all my neighbours) - Sigh...

MrsHappy · 09/12/2008 21:00

Hello all

Ei at FC giving your DD lipgloss. I think I would have given it right back! Our FC was handing out books, which we were really pleased with and DD loves her book so that's all good. We've got our tree up too - smells fab, I completely love it

Caitni well done for not symptom spotting for days. I find myself going "I wonder if that twinge could be implantation..." on a near daily basis, which is actually bloody stupid of me because if a baby could implant in the right place I think one would have in the last 18 months... Your doctor, although unfortunately named, does sound very good, so that must be comforting.

MOB embryos can't (I think) split after implanting but of course your might not have implanted on transfer day - it might have taken a few days longer!! Lots of positive vibes for tomorrow (not that you need them). Looks like christmas is coming early in the bird house!

You around PnM? Or are you elbow-deep in quilt pieces?

No news here, a few twinges and feeling bloated and I need to get it into my thick head that I am not going to get pg until after my op. No more bleeding, though, so that's a plus.

I really can't wait for christmas. I need a good break!

Caitni · 09/12/2008 16:04

Hi all

MOB I can't believe it's the day before your scan already - time is flying!! I'm keeping you in my thoughts that there's at least one good strong heartbeat tomorrow. I'll be waiting with fingers and toes crossed for good news

MrsH so glad to hear that the bleeding wasn't so bad! Also glad to hear your DD has been telling her chums about her trip to Santa . My non-symptom spotting of yesterday has collapsed today (and it's only 10 dpo - I'm tragic!!) but if I didn't symptom spot at least one day each month then I guess I wouldn't be really ttc

Ei Sorry to hear your poor DD was terrified by Santa...and lip gloss - what an pressie for a small girl! And well done with the getting the decorations done! I'm well jealous, as I'd hoped to get ours done this past weekend but having friends down scuppered it. But am definitely starting on Christmas cards tonight though

PnM hello! Meant to say that I'd love to take up sewing - did a bit as a kid but have always loved the idea of making my own patchwork quilt. Might be just the thing to get my mind of ttc...what time on Thurs is your HSG? So glad that you've booked the day off - hopefully it won't be painful, but it's nice to be able to relax anyway

And big to everyone else

So I had a lovely visit with the unfortunately named Dr Cramp this morning. She was very nice and sympathetic, and told me a reassuring story about a patient of hers who's currently pregnant but found out she was pregnant while waiting for her period to start so she could start her IVF drugs - moral of the story is don't give up hope! Anyway, she took a swab for chlamydia (sp??) and once the results for that come back then the X ray dept will be in touch to schedule an HSG. She's also referring us to the fertility clinic, so that that ball is rolling while waiting for the HSG. She did say that my progesterone result was borderline, so that's something that the fertility consultant may want to do again. But it was high enough to "probably indicate ovulation". Since I temp and get good biphasic charts I'm not too worried...

I'm 10 dpo and am now symptom spotting like mad, the main one being that I'm not actually spotting (yet!!). But my temps aren't too high...and I'm getting exhausted from all the knicker checking already!

Madoldbird · 09/12/2008 08:45

Morning ladies

Caitni 9DPO already . That has flown! Look forward to hearing how today goes.

MrsH Glad the bleeding has gone and not grown! Still worth mentioning to the GP though, when you are there, at least it will then be noted and in your records.

EI Your poor DD - terrified of FC! I was the same when i was little. Well done on getting all your decorations up, we are doing ours this coming weekend.

Well, MrsH, i didn't realise the embryos could split AFTER being implanted ! Still, i suppose as my main worry is that there won't be a healthy, live, baby in there at all, I won't really care if there is 1,2,3 or 4

Hope everyone else is ok. Have a good day!

DingDongMerrilyOnEI · 08/12/2008 21:44

hi ladies
mob 2 more sleeps
mrsH DD was terrified of FC she was so excited and then when she saw him she said she was scared and then screamed when he stood up!! luckily he was quite a jolly old soul so didnt take offence good job it only cost £5 and she got a present (which turned out to be lipglosses so totally inappropriate) but she was happy enough when we got outside
we came home and crimbofied our house so it now looks nice and festive has anyone else put theirs up yet?
caitni hope you are doing ok
PnM hello lovely how are you??
hello to everyone else lurking or otherwise
xx ei xx

MrsHappy · 08/12/2008 19:41

Mob it is so exciting that you are about to see your bean[s]. You know I once saw a programme about a woman who had 2 embryos put back and they each split so she got 2 pairs of identical twins!! Can you imagine the shock of their first scan?

Caitni well done you for not symptom spotting. I wish I had some self-control, but then I would be someone else!

How did FC go Ei? My DD seemed to quite like it but she was scared by a 4 foot high dancing santa before we went in. Today she has been telling her friends that it was very exciting though, so clearly it was good enough!

Mibbes I hope mummyhood is still lovely (am sure it is). Will have a look at the photos later.

PnM I hope all is well and that you're good and chilled about the HSG.

My bleeding has stopped - I've re-read my last post and meant to type "gone" but instead put "grown" so sorry for worrying anyone! It was a blob of brown, a blob of bright red and then a day of brown wipes (sorry tmi), so not too bad. In a way I am pleased it happened at 3/4 dpo (too early for implantation). Can you imagine how unbearably excited I wouldbe if it had happened at 7-10dpo?! I have a GP appointment at the end of the week so will mention it then but I suspect the hysteroscopy will reveal all and I will be getting that in Jan so it is not too long to wait...

Caitni · 08/12/2008 17:17

Afternoon ladies

MOB only two more sleeps!! Will be keeping my fingers crossed that you get a nice view of your little beanie[s] . I was lol at the date with dildo-cam - it's like a fertility reality show!! Thanks for remembering about my doc's app tomorrow morning. Hoping she'll have some good advice re what happens now...

Mibbes Evan is a gorgeous wee man! I love the photos - you must be so proud

MrsH that bleeding sounds very odd . Have you managed to ring the consultant to ask about it?

PnM firstly, sorry AF arrived but yay that the HSG is on Thurs! Secondly, I would have just freaked out at your completely insensitive colleague!! Surely just some plain, old fashioned sympathy is not too much to ask for?? Grrr makes me very irritated to hear stories like that .

Ei did your DD like FC? I loved all that when I was a kid .

So nothing going on here - 9 dpo, no symptoms to speak of (I am actually trying very hard NOT to symptom spot this month ) but still hoping I get a BFP instead of the usual AF this Thurs/Fri. There are so many Xmas parties this week and weekend and I'd actually love to be on the soda water & lime at them all !
