OK, so how about we start of on a positive....

I bought the test.

I did the test.

BFP .

Job done.

Bucky2008 · 30/12/2008 08:52

OOOOH, I love new hair MrsH and definitely a precursor to a BFP I am sure. . Post a pic on your FB page!!!

Boring here. Took the Clomid have had really bad cramps but only about CD12 or something...I'll have to check my diary to see what day it is. I actually had to take an ibuprofen it hurt so much and I never get cramps. I read somewhere that it could be overstimulation but I don't want to Google too much in case I convince myself it is a sure sign I have a brain tumour or something.

Anyway, have managed to muster up energy to BD. It is DPs birthday today so it was cheaper than a present..., I'm kidding, I'm kidding...LOL

Hope you are all having fun. I am bored witless and have spent a very sad number of hours designing my house on Facebook Yoville....I cannot believe what has become of me...Hee hee.

Hi PnM, yes I did spot after the HSG.
I had quite a lot the day of the test, then spotting the next day, a break and then it started up again every few days thereafter until my period. V weird- the consultant I saw the other week thinks the bleeding was HSG related. If you are worried give the unit that did the test a call. Also call them if you get cramping, a fever or if the bleeding gets more heavy.

I hope everyone is having a lovely christmas break.

I have chopped off my hair. New year = new hair = new excellent chance of viable pregnancy.

PicknMix · 29/12/2008 18:46

Helloooo[ooo][oooo] (that's supposed to represent an echo !)

Hope you all had a fantastic Christmas....?

Just a quick question as not much to catch up on! I'm still spotting - MrsH did you have any weird bleeding after your hsg?? I'm unsure as to whether I should pop to the gp or not as its lasted for 5 days now but hasn't really developed into anything other than spotting.

Hope everyone is ok and still in a festive mood

xx

Merry Christmas everyone. Here's hoping Santa brought you lots of nice stuff.

MrsHappy · 24/12/2008 22:01

Gosh, I was only away a few days and seem to have missed loads...

Abby congratulations on the birth of little Max. I hope that you've recovered well from the birth and that everything is going well.

Bucky I knew you'd be back! Well no actually I didn't but I rather hoped you would! I have a feeling that clomid the wonder drug is going to do its stuff for you!

Caitni well done for passing your theory test. I hope the cold is on the way out.

Ei it's too bad that your period showed up, but now you can hit the crinks with the rest of us non-preggos.

PnM those symptoms sound hopeful. I am crossing various bits of my body for you. Perhaps a nice relaxing christmas will help things along...

MOB I hope you and the chicks (and the girls and Mr Mob) are having a lovely christmas.

Not much to report here. DD was all set to stay up to see FC until I informed her that unless she went to sleep he would not come!

Merry Christmas to all of you.

PicknMix · 24/12/2008 17:32

Just popping in to wish everyone a very merry Christmas

Hope you and your dh are over the worst of your respective colds Caitni? Congrats on passing your theory!!

Big congratulations to JB and Abby and hello to Max and Lucy! Glad to hear Lucy was ok after her trip back into hospital.

How you doing Ei? Sorry to hear you're back to cd1 but, positive thinking and all that, hope you can enjoy a boozy Christmas

Hope you're ok MrsH? Have a lovely christmas with dd and dh

Bucky! Lovely to have you back, I know nothing about chlomid but if thats what the dr orders then its got to worth a shot, eh? Hope u, dp, Molly and Finn have a lovely Christmas

Enjoy Evans first christmas Mibbes

Hope you and your dc and your dh have a lovely Christmas Mob and that the chicklets behave themselves . Make sure you get a bit of time to put your feet up!!

Hello to anyone else, lurking or otherwise (if you're still around R4N2 then I hope things are progressing well for you).

I'm currently on cd24 and had a wierd spotting thing this afternoon. Prob just something dislodged after the hsg but I can't help thinking back to 2yrs ago when I last got pregnant.... Putting a lot of pressure on myself with irrational thoughts about the fact that surely fate should intervene as my cd dates are so similar as in 2006 and therefore another bfp should be, by rights, just around the corner .

Take care everyone!! xx

Caitni · 24/12/2008 14:41

Also a quick post from me to say MERRY CHRISTMAS to everyone.

Madoldbird · 24/12/2008 10:05

Just rushing in to say...

Abby Congratulations on the birth of Max - he's gorgeous! Have a lovely Christmas all together.

Bucky How lovely to have you back. I'm pleased that things are moving forward for you.

Sorry this is such a short post, but just wanted to say MERRY CHRISTMAS to everyone I hope you all have a lovely time.

Lots of love

Caitni · 22/12/2008 21:51

Hi ladies

First off, HELLO BUCKY - so so glad to see you back. And while I'm at this being your follow up appointment from July, I'm so glad to hear about the clomid - MrsH has also mentioned that her consultant has discussed it as an option for her. Since ovulation is not only pretty much ensured but also predictable it makes the chances on the ttc lottery that bit better...

Abby a huge massive congratulations to you on the birth of Max!! I love love love the name (WTWTA is one of my all time favourite books!). I hope you have lots of fun reading the story to him in the years to come

JollyBear sorry to hear that Lucy needed to be checked over - must have been stressful. Though am so glad to hear that not only is she gorgeous but is also now feeding more

Ei to hear that AF got you - I had high hopes for you. Though glad you had fun at the Xmas do (hope you didn't suffer too much yesterday ). We can face into 2009 together - it'll be the year that all of us on this thread waiting for BFPs will get nice sticky beans!!

Big waves and hugs to everyone else - here are some festive smilies for us all .

I'm over my blue mood, but have been full of cold since Saturday. I decided today was my last day in the office as couldn't face the train into London tomorrow with yet more lemsip/sudafed/olbas oil so now off til next Monday - yay . Have also got a DH hacking and coughing away. Fingers crossed we're over it by Thursday!!! Oh and also passed my theory driving test this morning - extra yay!!

JollyBear · 22/12/2008 10:06

Hello everyone,

Thanks for all your congratulations on the birth of my female jollycub!

Sorry not to have popped in to say hello before now but things have been a bit stressful with DD, she dropped just more than 10% of her birthweight at her 5 day check and we had to pay a visit to the pedriatric ward to have her checked over. She is fine but just not that interested in eating (she doesn't take after me!). Fingers crossed she has eaten much better on her last few feeds so I'm hoping we have turned a corner.

She is gorgeous and as soon as I work out how to do it I'll put some pics on my profile.

I haven't read everyones news, I'm really sorry, I promise to catch up but I just wanted to say welcome back bucky and three cheers for the clomid.

Congrats abby! What a fantastic weight and a super name.

abbymeg · 21/12/2008 09:50

Hello!

Just a quick post as I'm in chaos at the moment.

Max Walker (Max from Where the Wild Things Are and Walker was my Grandad's middle name) was born on Tuesday at 1.01pm by elective . He weighed 10lbs 9oz. There should be a pic on my profile.

The op wasn't great, had a bit of trouble and was quite uncomfortable, though the staff were wonderful.

I'm currently trying to feed the monster who seems to have hollow legs so is never full!

I hope you are all well. I want to wish you all a wonderful Christmas while I can - I'm trying to pop on here when I get a minute, but every time I start something it seems to trigger the desire to eat in DS!

Bucky2008 · 20/12/2008 17:07

Am I allowed back now that i have finished sulking?

So much has happened I cannot begin to read it all, but I have had a quick scan and am pleased to be a cyber auntie so many times over. Congratulations and higs to all Mibbes and JB and I guess Abby will be next week! .

I had my hospital appointment on Thursday. The follow up for my lap I had in July believe it or not!! And I started Clomid today. I am bit freaked out (no change there then) as I ov regularly so apparently my chances of multiple births have increased significantly. If you don't ov they increase upto 10% I think. They never mentioned the MC last month so I didn't bring it up. I don't know if they didn't record it or what? But given what the GP said about being refused treatment I decided not to say anything unless they did!

Glad you all seem to be ok and feeling the Xmas spirit.

MOB congratulations!!! Two bundles of joy...how great that is. xx

Hi everyone,

great to catch up on people's news!

JollyBear congratulations on the birth of Lucy . Hope you're enjoying your new baby girl (gorgeous name by the way!!).

Abby hope that Tuesday went well for you - looking forward to hearing how it went

RFN2 - woo hoo!! Congrats on your BFP . I'm glad things are working out for you and hope you have a lovely Christmas

MrsH sorry to hear AF got you . Hope the consultant app goes well today - onwards and upwards is right! Have a great time in Germany

MOB glad to hear you're busy with Christmas - hope you have a great time, in spite of how tired you must be

PnM hope you're doing well sweetie

Ei hope you're doing well and that AF stays away - I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Santa brings you a BFP this year

Sorry for not being around much at the mo - quite busy with the Christmas build up, but also in the midst of taking the month off tracking my cycle so trying to be less obsessed iykwim. Though got my app for the HSG through - need to call on the first day of my next period and book the appointment. So trying to take the onwards & upwards approach like MrsH too.

But feeling quite blue today. Last night my younger sister (less than a year younger than me, best friend really) told me she's 11 weeks pregnant - they have a 5 year old son that was conceived accidentally while on the pill...since they got married in August I've kind of dreaded her telling me she's pregnant, which makes me feel so so guilty. It's not that I'm not happy for her - I'm honestly thrilled - but I'm sad for me and my DH too. I would so love for us to be pregnant at the same time, which we would've been if I hadn't had that miscarriage in Sept. And, being horribly honest, I'm also so jealous of her and her husband's fertility. She's the only one in my family I've told about our ttc struggles, and she didn't tell me until she was 11 weeks. I was the first person she told when she was pregnant with her son and it makes me even sadder that I was one of the last to know this time around. To think that she didn't want to share her happy news with me in case it upset me (which of course it did, but only after I'd hung up after a good hour long chat).

I'll snap out of my funk soon, but I'm so glad now that we're not heading back to Cork for Christmas (one of my sisters-in-law is also pregnant with her second at the moment). As the only woman in my family not to have had a baby yet (and I'm talking about all my cousins, bar the 22 year old gap year travelling one, and cousins-in-law as well), I feel like I'm excluded from a club that it should be so easy to join...I reckon being back in Ireland right now may have just been too much...

sorry for such a depressed ramble! Don't really want to burden DH with too much right before Crimbo and can't really say it to anyone in RL. But I love Christmas so much that at least that'll distract me (bring on the crinks! it's going to be champers & pomegranite all the way for me this week!).

MrsHappy · 19/12/2008 11:14

Hi ladies

Sorry I haven't been around much but I have been busy and then struggling with this wretched cold. We're off to the in-laws tomorrow so I will be quiet for the next few days too...

Mibbes that is great that you've managed to get breastfeeding established. Is there a group near you? They might be able to help you sort out the positioning so that it doesn't hurt. Honestly you will be so glad you did this in a few months when your friends are faffing with bottles and you can just grab Evan and stick him up your jumper wherever you are!

Jollybear congratulations on the birth of Lucy - also a lovely name, but then we are tasteful ladies on this thread.

I hope everything went well for Abby too.

Ei is there any news from you yet, Mrs?

RFN2 congratulations on your BFP.

MOB I hope the nausea isn't too bad and that you are still loving being a pregnant lady.

PnM are you around poppet? Is all ok? That goes for you roo Caitni. Where did you go?

Well I am definitely not pregnant since my period showed up with a vengeance. I have my appointment with the surgeon this afternoon to talk about the thing in my uterus. I will try to get him to do the op next month and then it is onwards and upwards!

I hope you're all looking forward to a lovely christmas with plenty of crinks for those of us who are allowed! I may not be around much before then, so merry christmas, just in case I don't 'see' you!

Madoldbird · 19/12/2008 09:01

RFN2 How lovely to hear from you! I am so pleased to hear that things are so much better for you & DP, it really sounds as though you are both on the up. PLUS a festive BFP - that's wonderful Keep us posted.

readyfornumber2 · 19/12/2008 07:20

Hi all x

Sorry I havent been around for a while, have been very busy getting ready for christmas

Hope everyone is ok x

DP and I are coing really well and we are closer than ever, My tablets are working well and I am feeling realy good and even quit smoking 2 weeks ago without turning into the snappy witch from hell

Now for the shock news! I got a BFP yesterday I am only on cd27 today but have been feeling sick for 3 days and have very sore boobs so I took a test yesterday and got a faint positive and then got another bfp later in the afternoon and again this morning. We are still very much in shock but I am a strong believer in what will be will be.

So I am looking at a very sober xmas and new year now lol.

Good luck to everyone and I am looking forward to seeing lots of BFPs from you all in the new year x x

Madoldbird · 19/12/2008 07:00

JB Congratulations on the birth of Lucy!!! So exciting that our little Jolly cub is here I hope you are recovering well. Enjoy!

Abby Sorry to hear your CS was delayed... hope it went ahead on Tuesday, and that you are all doing well.

Mibbes Thank you for letting us know the news! I'm so pleased to hear that you have been able to get breast feeding established. You sound like you are delighting in motherhood. Thank you also for the positive stories about giving birth to twins!

EI Any more good symptoms??

Hope everyone else is ok, and enjoying the run up to Christmas!

DingDongMerrilyOnEI · 17/12/2008 22:30

hi ladies
jollybear huge congrats on the birth of lucy i am so happy for you
mibbes glad to hear evan is BF well just a quick question is it the BF that you are finding painful? i hope not but if it is maybe try positioning him differently as it works wonders for the pain BF shouldnt hurt as my MW kindly informed me 3 weeks in and with a quick alteration to how i held DD and voila painfree feeding in one fell swoop i hope you are healing well and it sounds like you are a fantastic mummy
hi to everyone else
xx ei xx

mibbes · 17/12/2008 22:08

OOh just got email from our AN thread list and Jollybear has had her baby, she hasn't posted on MN yet so hope she doesn't mind me passing on her news:

"I'm afraid I haven't popped onto our thread yet but I just wanted to let you know that I had a beautiful baby girl! She was born as planned, by section on Monday. She weighed in at 6lb 13 and we've decided to call her Lucy. We haven't decided on her middle name(s) yet but there is plenty of time for that whilst we get to know the young lady. She is absolutely lovely and DH and I are both besotted."

mibbes · 17/12/2008 22:03

Oh and MOB a girl on our AN thread just gave birth naturally with no pain relief to twins (7lb and 7lb 110z !!!!), I was amazed. Also someone from my NCT class gave birth to twins with zero pain relief (albeit they were 7 weeks early) they were both about 4lbs and they are both doing really well .

mibbes · 17/12/2008 22:00

MrsH good luck, when you testing ?

Ei sounds very promising

MOB sorry to hear you are feeling rough but I guess you are pleased in a way as always reassuring that all is well with beans !

abby had her section delayed as there were too many emergency CS on Mon but she was booked in for first thing Tue. No word on the Dec AN thread from either her or Jolly yet, I'll pop over and let you know as soon as there is news

Wee Evan doing great, he is BFing now and very demanding so am in a lot of pain but not complaining ! Still as cute as a button and melts my heart with his wee smiles (even though I know it is wind !!)

Madoldbird · 16/12/2008 19:38

Hi Ladies

Sorry i haven't been around for several days. Due mainly to a combination of general pre-Christmas "busy-ness", and feeling pretty grotty!!

JB & Abby I was thinking about you loads yesterday. I hope it all went really well for both of you, and i can't wait to hear about your new arrivals.

PnM Glad the hsg was ok last week. Sounds like the results are pretty good. I'm sure both tubes are fine, but even if one of them is not perfect, one good one is fine. I understand that a fair few women are wandering about with only one fallopian tube anyway - without even realising! I hope you can get a cancelled appt before March - that's AGES to wait. Sounds like a good plan to get one private appt if not.

MrsH I assume you are ok then after the "bacon of death"?? I'm sorry to hear that it appears to be the end of another cycle for you. Has your period turned up yet? I'm pleased to hear you have an appt with the surgeon this week. Hopefully that makes it feel as though things are "happening". Try and enjoy yourself over Christmas, and have a few crinks.

Caitni So sorry to hear your period arrived. I just love the way you pick yourself up each time though. I'm glad to hear you have been indulging in a few festive crinks (can you tell i love our new word )

EI Wel, i'm feeling rather excited for you at the moment! You have some lovely symptoms there - i hope they turn into a BFP! Keep us posted, and let us know if you secretly test!

Mibbes How are things with you (i realise you probably don't have much time to spend on MN at the moment ) How is that gorgeous little Evan?

Well, things are fine here, although the "chicks" are making their presence felt with rather extreme nausea and tiredness at the moment! I think the idea of twins has sunk in for us both now, and we are very excited. DH went through a stage of worrying, about the risks to myself and the babies, but i have tried to reassure him that many, many people have healthy twin pregnancies. I have a definite (tiny) little bump now - I dread to think how enormous i am going to get DS & DD are over the moon that it's 2 - at least they won't have to fight over whose going to hold the baby! It is my last day at work on Thursday before Christmas, and i have 2 and a half weeks off, which i'm really looking forward to. ( i had more leave left than i realised, so i have taken plenty!) I'm hoping that by the time i go back in January i feel a bit more human!

I have high, high hopes for you all in 2009 - it will be a good year for the thread. I have discovered that miracles can and do happen, and i KNOW that you will all get the miracles you long for and deserve.

MrsHappy · 16/12/2008 19:17

Hi ladies

Ei no sign of my period yet. I guess it is due tomorrow although the cramps have subsided and (TMI alert) my cervix is unreachably high. Not sure whether that means anything - I certainly do not feel at all pregnant! Will see what tomorrow brings. Your symptoms sound promising, especially the weepiness.

I hope everyone is well and happy.
