PS thanks for the offer re the CD - think I may take you up on it! Perhaps when we meet up at end of Feb (you're coming along to that aren't you?)

Caitni · 12/02/2009 16:32

oooh lovely chart MrsH! Looks like a lovely implantation dip to me .

MrsHappy · 12/02/2009 14:19

Sorry - cocked up that link.

Try this one

MrsHappy · 12/02/2009 14:13

Caitni Link to chart is here.

Bucky has my email address so if you get in touch with me through her I can always let you have my CD. It's on my ipod now so I can pass on the original.

JollyBear · 12/02/2009 13:36

Ei I'm sorry to hear your sad news. I hope you and your family are bearing up as best you can.

GG How lovely to see you!

Caitni · 12/02/2009 12:36

Wow, loads of activity on here in the last few days!

First and foremost, welcome back GG! Sounds like taking a break from MN was just what you needed . And it sounds like the IVF is going swimmingly too though the hot flushes don't sound like fun. If you're injecting you must be stimming yes? If so I hope those follicles are growing nicely . Here's hoping you have as eggscellent a time as MOB did (can you tell I'm happy to have an eggscuse to wheel the old egg puns out again ). I'll be keeping my fingers firmly crossed that there'll be no gin for you for a very long time to come . It looks like ICSI is our next step too though am taking a few months out to get my head and body (and finances!) in order, so am eggstra interested. Did you do anything in particular to get ready?

Ei I'm so sorry to hear your sad news . It's awful to lose someone you love, and I'm thinking of you and your DH (and DD) and all the rest of your family at this sad time.

MrsH oooh implantation dip and triphasic! Please post a link to your chart (you know me and my chart stalking tendencies ). I'm still so happy for you (as is MrCaitni), though it's perfectly normal for you to be anxious until you get that scan. But your remaining tube is healthy so I'm going to stay hopeful that this little bean (or beans, god knows you might catch twins from MOB and RFN2 ) settles in snugly. Also loved those affirmations from your CD - may look into that one myself .

Bucky hope you're not too jet lagged after your red-eye and sounds like you had a fabulous time in Miami . Here's hoping the law of pregnativity works for you too

RFN2 (or should that be RFN2and3 ) that's great news about your scan! Must have been some surprise to see them but I'm glad to hear that your pregnancy's going well

PnM glad to hear that horrible tonsilitis is on the way out but still major at your GP and her amazing telephonic diagnoses (not!). I understand that GPs must get a lot of hypochondriac patients but taking more than a year (I'm hazy but are you at nearly two years now?) to conceive and not miscarry is just not normal and needs proper investigations. From my brief skimming of the PCOS threads (back when i thought I must have it because I was convinced there was something wrong with me ) it seems like you need to be persistent. Perhaps changing GPs is an option? I had a horrible GP when I first moved to London, and stupidly assumed this was my lot in life until my DH moved over from the states and was allocated a charming and efficient GP so I switched and my life was transformed. And since then I've had no qualms about researching GPs surgeries and expecting quality treatment before I register with them...the HFEA has a handy clinic search so you can use your postcode to find clinics. I lurk on the assisted conception thread and NappyValley on there really rates her clinic in Southhampton (I think, or maybe Portsmouth? My English geography is atrocious ). On the quackolgy front, I saw a post on here recently that said wild yam and sweet potatoes were like nature's clomid (or something ).

Big to Jollybear and Mibbes - lovely to hear from you and hope your babies are thriving.

Not much going on with me. Am trying hard not to spend too much time on MN as want to get some headspace back from all the ups and downs of the past 14 months before we take our place on the IVF rollercoaster. But shall be keeping an eye on you all and keeping my fingers crossed for lots of lovely BFPs (and healthy pregnancies!).

MrsHappy · 12/02/2009 08:39

PnM the interviews were on Tues and were ok. The problem is that a lot of it is speculative right now. People aren't sure if they have the budget to hire. Still, we are battening down the hatches and should be able to ride this out quite well.

I feel ok. After eating I feel sick which is a new one on me and makes me hope that this one is normal. Looking at my chart I take back my disbelief in implantation dips and triphasic charts...

Is it quicker for you to get to London? Lots and lots of clinics up here...

PicknMix · 11/02/2009 21:13

Awwww, GG you came back to us Is lovely to have you back - am echoing MrsH a little here but look forward to hearing all about the treatment as find it amazing. Really hope it goes as smoothly for you as it did for MOB

Thanks for the info last night MrsH, that was pretty much what I was after, my google skills had escaped me! Had a look at the Agora website as well but it would be well over 1.5hrs drive away, likewise if we went the other direction to Southampton so am wary of dealing with somewhere so far away if we needed further treatment and therefore more visits.

Will give it all some thought!

How have you been feeling today? How did the interviews go?

MrsHappy · 11/02/2009 19:54

Mrs G! You're back!

It's lovely to see you and we all understand needing a break from talking about TTC from time to time.

Yes, I am jobless (wretched downturn) but I reckon that if this bean is in the right place that will more than make up for it. Third time lucky and all that...

I'm looking forward to hearing all about the IVF. I find it completely fascinating and miraculous. Fingers crossed it works first time for you (although be warned, this thread seems to cause twins!). It's great that it is all going well so far.

GorgonsGin · 11/02/2009 17:48

hello all,

erm....Does anyone remember me? i was wondering if you would have me back on the wimbewai(n)f thread even though I haven't been around for a while....? I stayed away because i had to get my head together and i think i was becoming a mumsent/BFP obsessive, so had to go cold turkey for a while, but I missed you all and wondered if I could come back?

i haven't had time to read the whole thread, so apologies if I am making stupid or crass comments!

ei I am so sorry for your loss. Thinking of you and take care of yourself. Grandparents are wonderful and you will miss him so much, but hope you are bearing up.

picknmix - I hope you are feeling better after that nasty bout of tonsolitus. last time I was here you had a gammy leg Get well soon!

MrsHappy - i am thrilled at your news!!! BFP!!! That is fantastic for you! You say that you have no job though - i am so sorry. i will go back and read through the thread.

Big hello to lovely bucky and caitni and all the old gang.

jollybear and mibbes - it is wonderful you both have little ones. So excited and pleased for you!

madoldbird -a re you still on the wimbewaif after your fantastic news? Sopleased for you!! i am hoping my luck will hold and I get a BFP too

sorry to anyone I have missed and not name checked!

No BFP's to report from the Gorgon household. Currently, DH and I are having fun and games sticking a variety of needles in my tummy every morning. No, not some weird BD-ing game - it's for our first (hopefully last ) cycle of IVF which is both exciting and also fairly uncomfortable, but if it works (keep your fingers crossed!)it will be worth it!! I am getting lots of lovely menopause stylee hot flushes, but actually it's not too bad at all. But it does mean there is not much gin being consumed in the Gorgon household

GGx

PicknMix · 11/02/2009 08:26

Oh Ei I'm so sorry to hear that You take care of yourself and your family xx

MrsHappy · 11/02/2009 07:32

Oh Ei I am so sorry to hear your news.
Lots of hugs for you and your DH.

HappyandEiknowit · 10/02/2009 22:14

hi ladies
just thought i would stick my head round the door to say hi!
life is not too good at the mo as my DHs grandad died this morning after a very short battle with cancer we were very close and he was like my own grandad so needless to say we are devastated

mrsH congrats on your BFP il do a better one for you soon xx
love and hugs to one and all xxx
xx ei xx

MrsHappy · 10/02/2009 21:16

PnM these guys regulate IVF clinics. Obviously the clinics do other treatments and investigations too.

You're on the south coast, yes? There is a clinic in Brighton - Agora - which has been set up by some doctors from the Lister. It's pretty new so I don't know if they publish results yet but it is where I would go if I was down that way and didn't work in London.

Glad you are feeling a bit better.

PicknMix · 10/02/2009 21:02

Oh, and hi to overseas Bucky as well

PicknMix · 10/02/2009 21:01

Awwww, MrsH I understand your reticence but I'm feeling very happy for you right now

It's lovely to see everyone on here! Hi JB and Mibbes again!!

And hi to you R4N2 and wow at your news !!

As I said this morning Caitni, I'm pleased you had a productive time at the Lister. It must seem like such a daunting prospect - I always see any IVF/ICSI treatment as way off in the future but, in reality, I think we might need to start facing up to things as well (we, as in me and my DH, not me and you!) and I think I'd feel the same as you that I would need a bit of time to get used to the idea, let alone the procedure.

Hope you're ok MOB?

Thanks for all your suggestions re my pct and their incompetence. Sadly its the same man who does the NHS and the private clinic in this area so no chance of sneaking off with my notes unless we went further a field. Speaking of which - does anybody know of a website that lists all private fertility clinics? I've googled and I've little joy so far.

It was my GP who gave me such wonderful 'advice' . Not sure she'd allow more tests to confirm PCOS as she seemed certain that I didn't have that as, wait for it, I wasn't overweight or hairy enough. All this deduced from a phone call!!!

Ah well, at least the tonsilitus is on its way out. Get it at least twice a year but never this bad before. Have stopped the anti-bs as they were making me sick so leaving my body to do its thing now. Off to bed again in a sec, been to Kent and back today so bit knackered!

God, I talk far too much about myself, apologies, I'm waaaaaay too self absorbed at the moment.....

MrsHappy · 10/02/2009 19:26

Thanks for the congratulations ladies.

Unlike last time I refuse to get at all excited unless and until I see the bean on a scan in the right place. Last time I got a BFP at 11dpo too, and my chart looks similar so am trying not to get too worked up...

I am going to pitch up at the EPAU at the start of the week after next. Fingers crossed all is well or that is my holiday out of the window!

Yikes this thread seems to cause twins. (Typical, no babies for ages and then two come along at once!) Congratulations, Rfn2. I hope the shock is wearing off!

Higs to you all. I am off to bed soon cos I feel like poo. (Because DD has decided she is nocturnal, not because of anything pg-related)

Bucky2008 · 10/02/2009 16:16

Yay MrsH that's great great news. . Lord knows we need some on this thread .

If the laws of pregnativity are applied to me too, I should get a BFP - Huge Amounts of alcohol + Bad junk food + very little sleep = ?

I'm just popping in as am still in Miami, but wanted to say congrats to Mrs H. Hope you are feeling better PnM and that the rest of you are having a great day. I am back on Thursday (landing at 6.20am) but will be non human till Friday. So will catch up with you all again then.
xx

MrsH congratulations - lovely news ! I am so pleased for you

Caitni great chance of success, good on you taking your time to prepare, very sensible.

PicknMix I really hope you get some progress soon and grr at tonsils, flipping ABs and stupid drivers.

Hi Jolly ! I've kind of dropped off the PN thread as it moves too quickly and no longer have time - DS keeps me very busy

readyfornumber2 · 10/02/2009 15:09

MrsHappy Just wanted to add that I got my BFP at 10dpo and am having twins so the law of pregnantivity may be even harder at work

JollyBear · 10/02/2009 15:04

OOoooh two lots of good news!

MrsH That is fantastic! What wonderful news and such an early result too. I'm so happy for you. Will they give you any early scan for reassurance?

RFN2 Wow another set of twins on the thread! Congratulations

P&M Oh my goodness tonsilitus is just so painful. You have my every sympathy. I thought tonsilitus was just a sore throat till I had it, and my God it hurt. Hope you feel better soon.

caitni a bit of time out before going ahead sounds like a really good idea to give you both time to let the idea sink in. I hope you are going to stick around the thread though.

MOB How are the chicks? Has the sickness passed yet?

Best dash, the jollycub is wakening...

readyfornumber2 · 10/02/2009 14:06

Hi Ladies thought I would pop by and say hello

MrsHappy CONGRATULATIONS on the BFP Im so pleased for you and it seems that the law of pregnativity has been hard at work lol

Hi to everyone else I hope things are good with you all x

Well I am 11+5 today and had my first scan, got to see baby wriggling around all happy and then we got to see their Brother or Sister wriggling around too!!
To say we are shocked would be the understatement of the year lol, I have to go to another hospital on friday for another scan to see if they are identical or not

Caitni · 10/02/2009 09:59

Congratulations MrsH - a digital BFP at only 11 dpo is excellent!!! (and don't feel bad about testing with FMU - who couldn't test after a faint positive at 10dpo???). I'm very happy for you and am hoping that this little bean snuggles down happily in your lovely smooth womb
PS good luck with the interviews today
xxx

MrsHappy · 10/02/2009 07:50

OK, so I did test.

Digital BFP this time. [nail biting terror emoticon].

If this one is ok, this has to be the silliest ever application of the Laws of Pregnativity. No job + no benefits (for the first time in years) x planned overseas trip in a couple of weeks / only one shag all cycle = BFP. Moronic.

PicknMix · 10/02/2009 07:05

Woah...MrsH, I'll be keeping my fingers crossed all day. Both for interviews sake and for lines on sticks.

Am off to work now but just quickly am pleased to hear your appt went so well Caitni, for your dh but pleased he's seeing the positive side.

Back later x
