Job done.

The best of luck for tomorrow GG. I really chuckled hard at your DH buying you tena lady! Good on him for going to buy them though. I needed some breast pads as I'd underestimated the leakage (!) and DH wouldn't ask for them in Sainsburys. I had to cut a sanitary towel in two and stuff my bra with them! Sexy .

Caitni · 11/03/2009 17:45

Bucky nightmare about the training but sounds like some pretty good symptoms to me! Shall be keeping my fingers crossed that AF stays away for a looong time for you

GG am thinking about you and good luck for tomorrow {{{higs}}}

BuckygoLucky · 11/03/2009 12:48

I might look back at the thread, because I think the last couple of months whilst I have been on Clomid I have had this, but I feel really weird today. Like kind of spacey and slightly nauseous. I seem to recall this happening last month though right before TEW turned up though....

GG crossing everything for tomorrow.

PnM why is AF such an evil witch? We were cycle buddies practically and I didn't even realise it!

Well I have a week of training it seems as I am training all afternoon and all of tomorrow so there will not be much MNing occuring. I will check on my iPhone sneakily when I can though.

I don't plan to test until Sunday if AF doesnt arrive before. Although I have a test at home so will try not to be tempted before then!

GorgonsGin · 11/03/2009 11:51

Hello everyone - you lot do make me laugh .

I called the hospital and I am going back for another blood test tomorrow at 7am to see if the HSG number has changed. I am really very pessimistic. There is so much bleeding and such bad cramps - way worse than period cramps, which I have never really suffered from. We'll see. At least you get the results the same afternoon, so no time to mess around with pointless googling. There really is absolutely nothing you can do 'cept sit around and wait

HappyandEiknowit · 11/03/2009 10:42

hi ladies
GG sorry you are still bleeding and the cramps havent let up yet you are right i did a bit at your city break holiday but it might be a good idea for a relax. where is it you will be going?? you may need to speak to your doctor about it if you are going out of the country for insurance/medical purposes. i hope the hospital let you get your blood test earlier than monday. when is your break??
caitni hi how are you? good i hope
PnM sounds like you have got a rather glam life now photoshoots etc what are you taking pics of?
hope everyone is ok
DD is ill today so off school again shes got a cough but seems to be fine after i ring the school so im sure shes putting it on im not sure where in my cycle i am but im assuming i havent oved yet and carrying on molesting my DH until next week i think i had some very low right sided cramping the day before yesterday and have noticed i havent got much cm so im guessing i have oved but with my body who knows still, DH is happy with my new TTC frenzy
xx ei xx

Caitni · 11/03/2009 10:27

Sorry GG I just saw your post

So to hear you're still bleeding & cramping. Massive massive {{{higs}}} to you. I can understand you wanting to prepare for the worst but I'm still hopeful for you because of your result yesterday. Trust your instinct when it comes to your city break - it may be just what you both need, to get away just the two of you to relax in a hotel after the rollercoaster of IVF. But if you prefer to stick to home and what you know then I'm sure your DH would understand that too...

Caitni · 11/03/2009 10:23

Morning ladies

GG how are things today? I think you're right to try and get an app for tomorrow, fingers crossed they fit you in. I'm so glad your DH came back, but I was LMAO at his robust provisioning! I'll be checking in later to see how you're doing xxx

PnM at getting home at midnight and being back in Bournemouth already! And double at your cycle lengths! Have you tried anything like EPO/agnus castus/Vit B complex? I know it's not wise to self-medicate with things like that but lots of women on MN seem to get results with them.

Ei hope you're still waving those lucky pom poms

MOB yay for your 20 week scan!!! I'm so glad to hear that everythings going well with your little beans . I'd love to see the scan pictures if you want to post them!

Big waves to everyone else Bucky MrsH JB DigiG RFN2&3. Not much to report from the Caitni household - also on the TWW as now 5 dpo. Boobs aren't as sore as usual (maybe because of the acupuncture?) so not even able to imagine symptoms at the moment!!

Caitni xx

GorgonsGin · 11/03/2009 10:17

picknmix - PMSL at the colour of the bullets required . At firsst I thought DH hd bought them as a joke to cheer me up, but no, he genuinely thought that's what I was after . I am disappointed that you were not on a glam photoshoot with make-up artists and people holding light metres next to your face

ei - you do not look like that I've seen you on facebook Any news with you?

I am sitting at home today nursing the cramps with a hot water bottle and still bleeding . It's maybe a tad lighter than yesterday, but I've still period amounts of bright red blood and not spotting and significant pains. I really can't see this being anything other than "it" despite BFP .

I am supposed to be going away on a city break this weekend - DH organised it for our anniversary (ei's going to laugh that I am off on my travels again ). I am definitely in two minds. I suppose it could be a nice break if the bleeding/cramping has stopped but don't feel very party-ish. DH is adament we should go (anf not waste the money ) and it will be a nice break etc etc

PicknMix · 11/03/2009 10:00

How are we all doing this morning? Are your pompoms still in the air Ei?!

The photoshoot last night was in no way glam - totally work related and tres boring! Back in Bournemouth today for the same thing, didn't get home until midnight last night

Was actually on cd26 not 28 (can't count ). That means my cycles are officially c-r-a-p! As an eg, the last 3 cycles have been 54 days, 21 days and 26 days. Huge sigh.

Great news that dh returned last night GG, really pleased to hear that. Although the tena tale did make me chuckle! I sent my dh out for supplies once and got a furtive phone call from him asking "what colour bullets" I wanted!

HappyandEiknowit · 10/03/2009 21:53

GG im really more like this [fat ass emoticon]
im glad you are sounding more positive good idea pushing for an earlier test as it would be sheer torture having to wait almost another week!! hope you are getting the rest and pamper treatment from your DH that you deserve (P.S. brownie points to your DH for coming home it was germany wasnt it?? take one off for the tena lady-though keep hold of them for the pelvic floor issues later in preg)
PnM sorry AF got you hope you are ok and good luck for this cycle
MOB yay on the scan its all go in the MADOLDTWINS household pics please
hope everyone else is ok
xx ei xx

GorgonsGin · 10/03/2009 21:17

hello there everyone.

MrsH funnily enough I was thinking about twinklingfairy earlier today and her amazing story . Stories like those together with a high HSG result do give me a tiny bit of hope. The HSG level seemed to confound the nurse on the phone. I think he thought I was exaggerating the extent of the bleeding . This aint mere spotting, pal . I hope you and bean are having a lovely holiday and enjoying the sunshine

Talking of erm...heavy, this may be TMI but I asked DH to buy me some pads on his way back home (he came BACK ) bcause was told not to use tampons. Haven't used those things in 20 years since the school nurse used to hand them out if you got your period at school . But he came home with a pack of bleedin' (no pun intended!) Tena Lady incontinence granny nappies!!! WTF?! "I thought they looked robust". That's what comes of having no sisters . It cheered my mood up no end .

MOB - woweeeee, so excited about your 20 week scan and so pleased everything is looking perfect. Best get on the "what's the best double buggy to buy?" threads Please post the scan photos of your little DBs so we can see them! If I could knit, I would start two pairs of blue bootees to celebrate, I am so excited for you and your DH

picknmix - what are you photographing in Bournemouth? I'm really sorry that AF arrived today. Does that mean you have had a shorter cycle this month? I have taken DG and ei's advice and hit the chocolate too, although now think that chocolate twist sounds mighty tempting. I am determined that, one way or another, this IVF is going to make me FAT

ei thanks for the cheerleading! If this works out I shall put it down to the power of poms poms. Oh, and I found this old photo of you throwin out one of your secret moves

ei shows us some moves

jolly caitni ready and bucky - thanks for being great supports today and talking sense into me. I am PMSL at Bucky wishing she could whip out her rosary beads for me. I think God would die of shock if I got back in touch after years of agnosticism (which, if he did, would not be good news for faithful believers out there )

I'm going to try to take time off tomorrow. It really does help the cramping to lie down on the couch and I can indulge in my secret vice - 24 hour More4! .I'm also going to pitch up for another blood test on Thursday morning - I agree, I think I do need to check before Monday. I wasn't assertive enough earlier on the phone (hard to believe, I know )

JollyBear · 10/03/2009 19:59

Hello there,

GG Crikey, what a day you've had - sorry for not stopping in earlier, I've been out all day. The HSG test result does sound encouraging. I just can't imagine what you must be feeling at the moment - so many conflicting emotions. Keep us posted on how you go on over the next few days. I so want things to go well for you

MrsHappy · 10/03/2009 19:38

GG As a veteran of ridiculous numbers of HSG tests I agree that those results do sound quite positive. It is, of course, entirely possible to bleed A LOT and still have a viable pregnancy. Do you remember Twinkingfairy who had an op to remove a suspected molar pregnancy and yet was still pregnant after that? Hang on in there. Take some time off work if you can. I know that the second 2WW can be as bad as the first but it can also turn out very well in the end.

(((Higs))) and positive vibes from SA.

Madoldbird · 10/03/2009 19:08

GG Those blood test results do sound hopeful. I would agree with everyone else about asking for a blood test sooner that next week, if they will give you one. Glad you are now tucked up at home. Can you take the rest of the week off work?? How is DH doing with all this? Look after yourself, and rest as much as you can. XX

PnM Poo, poo, poo at your period turning up, virtually as you typed. I'd go and have another 5 paninis now if i were you. The photo shoot sounds glam!!

EI Stop posting and keep those pom poms going - they are obviously helping!!! Don't think you are going to be able to have any sleep until GG's next blood test!

Bucky I have everything crossed for you as well - roll on the weekend.

Caitni How's the temping going? How are things with you?

RFN2 How was the appt with the midwife?

DG Lovely to see you. How is your gorgeous boy?

MrsH (If you are able to lurk) Hope you and DD are having a fabulous time!

Things going fine here. We had the 20 week scan today, and everything is looking good. We now need to start to get organised i suppose!

HappyandEiknowit · 10/03/2009 18:39

GG i am being quietly excited for you over here a HCG result higher than even the docs expected is a good sign and heres to a higher result again on monday have a hot choccie and some cake (a known cure-all) and try and distract your mind {{{{{higs}}}}}}
xx ei xx

PicknMix · 10/03/2009 18:37

Ho ho ho - my body has a funny sense of humour. Literally just got my period. ALWAYS a bad idea thinking you've got symptoms - just brings af on even quicker...

PicknMix · 10/03/2009 18:32

Evening all, am stuck in Bournemouth doing a 'photshoot' (I use the term loosely as it is me doing the photoing and I am a true amateur!)...

GG I'm seconding what others say about the blood test and waiting until Monday. They should, as a matter of routine, do one every 2 days. This is what I had to go through (for three months!) and you know how truely awful my pct is!! I would ring them tomorrow and try and get an appt for Thursday. I imagine the last thing you feel like doing is being proactive but it would eat me up being in limbo for so long.

Loving the pom poms Ei - keep it up, the high kicks are truely impressive

I have just worked out I am cd28 today. Can I steal your symptoms Bucky? I too am bloated (but this may have something to do with the Panini, Chocolate Twist and Mocha I had for lunch - who ever thought putting a Costa into a service station was a good idea???? Its devious and plays havoc with my 'diet' )

Best get back to the photography....

Caitni · 10/03/2009 16:58

hi Bucky , I x posts with you.

Caitni · 10/03/2009 16:57

GG that is good news about the blood test so I'm keeping my fingers (and eyes and feet!) crossed for Monday. I hope the bleeding stops soon and I'm glad that you're tucked up on the couch watching daytime telly. This is going to be an agonising wait {{{hugs}}}

Waves to DG Ei and everyone else (Ei am loving the pom poms - here's to all the cheering we can do for GG's little bean(s) )

BuckygoLucky · 10/03/2009 16:52

GG we spoke so I haven't posted, although I am lurking. The HSG reading does sound positive and the twin idea is interesting. I guess you just have to wait for Monday! That seems so far away though, surely on Thursday they would know if it was going up on not, that's 2 days away? I'm thinking of you and if the burglars hadn't stole my jewellery box I would have whipped out my rosary for the occassion. Surely hearing from me would shock God into action as he rarely gets a shout of from me these days! I may have to get jealous afterall if things get better . Higs.

CD24 here, so I should know my fate by the weekend. Nothing unusual to report though so not hopeful. I did eat the biggest lunch known to man today which is causing me to feel like a beached whale, but last time I checked that was not a symptom.

GorgonsGin · 10/03/2009 16:34

cheers ei - The hospital has just called and said "Your pregnancy blood test is positive". Erm, yes, I kinda thought it would be. My HSG reading was 65, but the nurse said he expected I would have a reading of approx 50 for my dates, so he said my result was strongly positive and asked how long I had been bleeding for, which is quite good news but also quite confusing. He seemed surprised that i had been bleeding since yesterday lunchime. I have to get another blood test on Monday - a falling result means a rising HSG blood test result would be good news and they'll give me a scan. Falling result means very early miscarriage. Feel a little more positive now, but still really scared [terrified emoticon] and given the emotional mess I have been over the last 2WW, I will be a quivvering jelly soon! My poor DH and poor you ladies too, having to listen to me panic and put up with my see-saw moods

DG it's great to hear from you and lovely to see you last week and meet your gorgeous DS I was thinking about your posts fromtwo years ago when you were on holiday and can really relate to the worry you felt then. There can't be anything more scary when you've got a BFP .I hope it all turns out for me too. I think bleeding has slowed a little, it's hard to tell.

I am completely distracted today. I got on the tube going the WRONG way to come home. I've only been doing that journey, every day, for the last three years I'm home now and tucked up on the couch with a hot water bottle and feel a bit better. The cramps are quite bad, but How Clean Is Your House is quite distracting for now

digitalgirl · 10/03/2009 15:53

thinking of you GG

was lovely to see you and the others last week. sorry I've been so slow to post on here, but have been lurking.

ei's right, I did have a bleed right at the start of my PG. I had three mornings of severe implantation cramps just before I tested. But the blood didn't come out till a week later...and then trickled out for three weeks, red, brown, 'bits', little clots (accompanied by cramps and backache that kept me up all night). You might remember that I thought I was MC'ing and I was on holiday at the time, so all I could do was wait till I got back for the next scan.

I know my story doesn't help take the worry away, but you will get through this. Do everything possible tonight to relax and distract yourself. Watch a movie, take painkillers, eat chocolate cake.

Will continue to lurk...

HappyandEiknowit · 10/03/2009 14:53

GG any news yet??
xx ei xx

HappyandEiknowit · 10/03/2009 12:36

GG thats the spirit i hope you are holding up and are keeping nice and relaxed on your couch is your DH still away? i hope you are ok
xx ei xx

GorgonsGin · 10/03/2009 11:15

ei - you have made me smile . I have visions of you with your pom poms out and dancing around shouting "Give us a G, give us another G"

I have heard fantastic stories of ladies who have had severe bleeds and still having successful pregnancies, so i know there is always hope and there is the lost twin possibility too. I'll try and be positive but I can't get my hopes up too high after all this.

If any of you ladies are in London and want two tickets for the Donmar Warehouse tonightto see "Be Near Me" (good reviews and the run is sold out) you are very welcome to my tickets for gratis. Can't face going and sitting there cramping all evening.
