Fab news EI
(DS and the twins were both detected with ebay cheapies so I trust them completely lol)

PicknMix · 25/04/2009 10:55

Oh, ff just gave me lines - on cd 12 as you predicted Caitni - but only because I removed a temp (it was really low but I took it 2 hrs before I usually do as I was up for work at 4.30). I don't think I really have ov'ed though, I think I might be having anovulatory cycles as my cycles have completely changed when I compare them to all of last years charts.

PicknMix · 25/04/2009 10:39

Yay for another bfp for you Ei, thats fantastic news!

Madoldbird · 25/04/2009 10:19

YAY!!!!!! Good news EI Hang on in there!!

SmilingEi · 25/04/2009 10:00

Madoldbird · 24/04/2009 19:46

EI How are things with you? Hope your period has stayed away, as you said you were hoping to get to today. Have you done any more HPTs or been to the GP? I still have everything crossed for you - which is no mean feat for me at the moment

Caitni I'm so pleased to hear that your AMH result was fine, that's really good news. I agree, i found it really strange going on the pill - but it is the first step in the ivf process, so it's exciting as well! Hope you have a lovely weekend, and do let us know the news from your SIL!

PnM Hope your is now a nice tanned colour . 4 years is such a long time since you started ttc, no wonder you have been feeling . You and DH so deserve the family you long for, and i know one day you will be able to put this pain behind you when you have your baby. I looked at your chart again, and it does look less scary in celsius.

Hope everyone else is ok, and that you all have a lovely (sunny) weekend. XX

Caitni · 24/04/2009 11:23

PnM sorry but I was chortling at your face as that happened to me in Wales and I also got NO sympathy from my DH. Since then I've been much more diligent about my sunscreen!!

We're off to babysit my two neices today - staying all weekend - they're 2 and 4 and super good fun. Their parents are getting to enjoy the delights of north london (and Bob Dylan at the 02 tomorrow) as we're just swapping flats. Fingers crossed it stays sunny .

And today my SIL is having her second child by planned c-section (she's just overdue and her first baby was an emergency c). So very exciting for them and the whole extended family too .

Happy Friday to all
C

PicknMix · 24/04/2009 08:19

I'll gladly take that hand hold Ei as it was a bit of a shocker to work out I'd been, at the very least, preparing to start a family nearly 4 years ago Hows the temperature this morning? Have you booked an appt with a gp yet???? Really think you should if your temp is still going up but you're getting bfns. Take care x

Working from home again today Caitni - will be torture being this close to the weekend but still having to work . I did work in the garden the other day but am now literally (colourwise) because I was enjoying the feeling of warmth too much and got a little burnt. I'm usually so conscious about sunscreening as well! DH thinks I deserve no sympathy though....!

Morning everyone else

Caitni · 23/04/2009 17:23

Ei hope you're doing well - any news on getting to see your consultant or GP? Or any symptoms??

PnM sounds like my ov predicting is way off mark then! And I don't know how you're managing to work from home in the sun, I've done too little today because the urge for time to pass so I can get out to the sun again is too distracting . But at how long you've been at this lark. God, life can be so unfair .

SmilingEi · 23/04/2009 13:36

to PnM
hope you are ok you seem a little down in the dumps recently il hold your hand if you want xxx

PicknMix · 23/04/2009 13:24

Afternoon,

Am attempting to work from home again but I just can't concentrate with all the sunshine going on outside my window

Mob I'm pleased you're getting such thorough care from your hospital - it must be worrying that it wasn't clear cut for you at the scan but I'm willing those boys to stay put for just a little while longer! Ditto Caitni in starting a thread in multiples to see if anyone has been through the same experience as you.

So horrible being left in limbo land Ei , I agree you should get in contact with your GP/consultant as your temp is still rising so maybe they could do a blood test instead of the hpt?

Hope you're enjoying the sunshine with DD MrsH and that you manage to get some interview prep squeezed in somewhere.

Yay for the normal test results Caitni !!! Really chuffed for you - you must feel v relieved. Wow at what you have ahead of you now! Will be very odd for you taking the pill I imagine! Have you got any idea of when you will start treatment?

Not sure about my FF chart Caitni, had no signs of ov whatsoever yet - I usually get a sharp side pain (at the time I think 'what was that' and then after I make the connection that its roughly half way through my cycle - even after all these years I still can only spot it retrospectively!!) and sore boobs and I've had neither. I looked back through my FF charts and can you believe I created my first chart in May 2005?? So really we've been ttc for far longer than I'd thought (I know I'm a bit dizzy but how did I block that out?!!). Its just been a far more concerted effort in the last 2.5 yrs. Shit thats a long time

Hi to R4N2+3, JB and GG hope you're all ok?

Caitni · 23/04/2009 12:11

Hi ladies

MOB I'm sorry that it wasn't straightforward good news for you, although I am glad that the boys can stay put for the time being. Perhaps posting a thread in the multiple births section may help? You could get some good MN wisdom from a woman who's been through this already...just a thought anyway. In the meantime, I hope you have a good chat with the consultant on Monday. It sounds like you're getting very good care anyway, which is also good.

MrsH I'm so glad you heart the garden centre too . I bet you DD just loves it (I loved going to the garden centre with my mum as a kid ). And good news about the clover too. Though sorry to hear about your nanny being sick, still at least it's nice and sunny so you're not stuck indoors!

Ei I'm so sorry that you're having all this stress . But your chart is one of the nicest preg charts I've ever seen (and yes, I've seen many due to my old FF chart stalking hobby ) so I'm still hopeful. Have you been in touch with your consultant? Have they given anyway advice as to what do to?

PnM I was just having a nosey at your chart (again ) and, if I look at it in celsius, then I think you may have ov'ed on CD 12. Did you have any other signs around then? Or am I way off the mark ?

Waves to all the other ladies

So I spoke to the nurse today and got my AMH results back and my results are normal - I got just over 20 apparently when they look for anything between 15 & 45. So relief for me (and my DH!). Now I just need to go to my GP and get the pill (how is that going to be!), get some blood tests on the NHS (HIV and Hep and a couple of others I can't remember ) and check in at the start of my next cycle so we can start planning when this is all going to start (and I'm [gulp] but all at the same time!).

MrsHappy · 23/04/2009 09:15

Ei I may be wrong but wasn't it you who didn't get a BFP until pretty late with your DD? I think you need to get to your GP and get some blood taken. Your temps still look pg and with a CP surely they would be dropping or you'd be bleeding by now (since HCG doesn't get very high with CPs). Hope you get some answers soon.

MrsHappy · 23/04/2009 09:12

MOB I'm glad it was better news from the scan. I'm sure they'll just keep a really close eye on you from now on and I bet the babies get to stay put for quite a while longer. It'll just be lots of scans for you!

Ei what a tough time you're having. I hope you're ok. (((higs)))

Caitni thanks for pointing me in the direction of clover seeds. Happily I found a clump in the grass yesterday so I don't need to visit the garden centre again (I am quite the regular - 3 times this week already - although that's a fair bit to do with needing to find things for DD to do and they have fish ponds to look at). Not that I am getting to do much gardening. Our nanny is off sick and so I am looking after DD all day. Not great when I have interviews to prep for and an enormous list of things I need to do, but never mind...

Hope everyone else is ok. I am a bloater but that is nothing new.

SmilingEi · 22/04/2009 20:02

MOB glad twin 2 is getting bigger but sorry it wasnt better news for you xx hope all is well
xx ei xx

Madoldbird · 22/04/2009 19:25

Hi ladies

EI I'm sorry to hear it was a BFN . I too still have everything crossed for you. What a few days it's been for you.

Caitni Am loving the gardening chat! Keep us posted on how your little seedlings are doing

Well, i had my scan, and twin 2 has grown, but he is still a fair way behind no.1. The sonographer said it gets critical when there is more than 20% difference between them - at the moment there is 14%. So it's not completely bad news, but it's not just the blip we were hoping for. I am seeing the consultant on monday, so i'll see what she says. I think she will just want to keep me on scans every 2 weeks, and monitor things. They also found today that twin 1 has less fluid round him that twin 2, so they will also keep an eye on that. I guess we'll just take things week by week, and hope that they can stay put for a while longer.

Caitni · 22/04/2009 15:08

Afternoon ladies

Ei I'm so sorry for all your stress lady [hugs]. It's so when CBDigi tells you bluntly. But your chart looks good so I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that it's just rubbish hpts.

MOB best of luck for your scan - i hope your little boys are healthy and happy to stay tucked in for weeks yet!

MrsH am loving all the gardening on here at the moment - spring has most definitely sprung! My first seedlings are coming through and I'm inordinately proud (keep thinking the neighbours must think I'm odd as I check in our little greenhouse every evening when I get back from work ). Turns out now we've cut back the grass we've got heaps of clover, so I'm leaving it be, but I was thinking of getting seeds from the likes Suttons. Though I bet the Capital Garden Centre in Alexandra Palace would have something too (I heart that place!).

Bucky don't feel too at whatever you said about your first m/c. I personally think that a m/c at 9 weeks would be devastating enough but we all tell the stories we need to at times. It's hard enough talking about this stuff in RL anyway so feel free to tell us all on here.

PnM at your temps but I don't think the fluctuations look as bad in celsius - certainly the first week of my cycle has up and down temps, and b/c I ovulate so early it's really annoying as it means some of pre-ov temps are higher than my post-ov temps (which annoys me as it's hard to see where ov actually is [sigh]). Still, when I spoke to Mr Needles and the fertility consultant about it neither were bothered as apparently they just want to see a general trend for higher temps post-ov...

Waves to JB DigiG RFN2&3 and everyone else. I'll check back later for news of MOB

xx

SmilingEi · 22/04/2009 14:23

hi ladies
mob good luck
well i tested again and it was BFN again so im not holding out any hope at all it was a CBD so it looks worse in writing hope all is well with everyone
xx ei xx

MrsHappy · 22/04/2009 13:10

Lots of luck MOB. I hope it goes really well.

Madoldbird · 22/04/2009 10:14

EI Am hoping that things are looking a bit more positive for you now. Your chart is looking great. Have you tested again?

Bucky That is not a psycho thing to have done at all. It is understandable . Don't feel about it. Now go out and do something "Bucky-like" that we can go at!!

PnM That chart is a bit all over the place, isn't it? . Hopefully a pattern will emerge as you go through your cycle.

MrsH Have fun shopping!

Big hello to everyone else not mentioned.

I have my scan this afternoon (am a bit of a nervous wreck). Will let you know how it goes.

MrsHappy · 22/04/2009 08:57

ei that is definitely a pregnant chart. How do you feel today? Have you peed on any more sticks?

Bucky tht doesn't sound particularly mental to me. Ttc is so incredibly personal I reckon we all get a bit tied in knots with it sometimes...

Mob when is your next scan?

PnM thank you for the grapefuit skin tip! I am craving grapefruit this week so it is very convenient!!

Caitni where does clover come from? Stupid question, but there is none in our lawn (a lot of shitty looking moss though) and I would like to put in some clover. Should I go to the park and dig some up???! Do you start your IVF thingy soon?

JB glad to hear all is well with you and the cub.

Not much going on here. I look really fat now and am continuing to interview (when jobs come up) so am really hoping noone notices that I am twice the girl I used to be. Right DD and I are off shopping so will BBL.

PicknMix · 21/04/2009 23:09

You don't need to go to therapy Bucky, I can totally empathize with your reasoning. Esp if the person you lied to doesn't know your full ttc history. Don't be or about it. Sometimes we feel the need to justify our feelings and I'm sure you had good reason to.

BuckyIsLucky · 21/04/2009 22:00

Fingers crossed Ei.

BuckyIsLucky · 21/04/2009 21:59

It wasn't ha ha crazy, it was need committing for therapy crazy. I lied about something to someone about my first MC because I thought they would think I was stupid to have been so upset by it when I as only 9 weeks pg when I MC. I am so embarrassed about lying about such a thing now, but I was devastated about that MC at the time and I somehow felt I needed to justify how upset I was....So psycho in a PSYCHO way...
