Well done Bellie on getting dd into reception - MJIM, my dd must be same as your ds as she's not due to start until Sept 2010 when she'll be nearly 5. I can't imagine her at full time school.

Had 1st app with mw today - apparently everyone asks for an early scan so it's unlikely I'll get one, so private it is! Good news is that she thinks I'm an excellent candidate for a home birth due to my straightforward pg and birth with dd.

MrsPuddleduck · 14/01/2009 13:14

Well done on getting DD in reception Bellie - We should have done this last year for DS (5 on 5th Sept so oldest in class now) and he had a hell of a year as a result. A friend's little girl similar age to yours started reception last year a year early and is doing fine.

Bellie · 14/01/2009 13:04

MJIM - she turned 4 in October so she shouldn't have started Reception until Sept 09, but the nursery and the school were convinced that she would be sooooo naughty if she got bored she would be better off in reception, and I think that they were right.

MrsPuddleduck · 14/01/2009 12:55

HI

Well done on all the cooking Bellie. Next time I am going to make sure that both my freezers are heaving with food. You would have thought I learnt after the first time but didn't. Dh and I often laugh about when we had DS1 and used to just about manage a microwave meal at 9pm - God knows what we were doing!!

I know that I will be terrible at giving clothes away - I would literally be mourning the loss of every jumper and set of dungarees..........Perhaps it would be best if I have a third boy they I can get to see them all again

Hmm not that really that ready but I guess you can never be really ready and the baby will come when they want to won't they!!

Yes dd is at school all day (she started reception a year early and loves it) but I still miss her even though she started going in September!!

hello all,

hope you are all having good days!

Sorry to hear about the toothache HM2J - it is one of the worst pains there is I think. Hope the AB's kick in quickly!

MJIM - I love the sound of your day, I could do with one of those but hard to have cuddles with dd when she is at school!! Although I have noticed that I am getting lots more cuddles from her at the moment which I am guessing is quiet normal as the baby gets nearer.

Have just done a cook-a-thon for the freezer so the nesting instinct must be starting! Pity it doesn't seem to extend to the rest of the messy house though maybe tomorrow.......

Any news from those on the 2ww?

Noooo, for you, £5 all together! I am happy to see them go to a good home.

Am feeling rather crappy today as have toothache. I am on the waiting list for surgery to have all 4 wisdom teeth removed under a GA, but they said likely to be 3 or 4 more months (if you remember, I was due to have them out last March but cancelled as was 8 weeks pregnant.) In the last year, this will be my 4th lot of antibiotics as have a HUGE abcess under one of my wisdom teeth. I can barely eat and drinking hot or cold is killing me. Thankfully the dentist can get me in today but am looking at at least 24-48 hours before the antib's kick in and then I have to worry about Zack getting thrush from them.

To make me feel even worse, I just sorted out Zack's newborn and many 0-3 month clothes to give to someone I know who just had a baby boy on Friday. It is a neighbour of my friend and I don't know her well so I hope she won't be offended by my offering her my son's clothes, but they are in pristine condition and he was hardly in them, they would only be going to a charity shop otherwise.

Right, just waiting for a nappy load to finish and dh to come home from work so I can go to the dentist.

Does £4 for both + £1 postage sound ok? I have no idea as haven't tried selling his outgrown stash yet. Do you have paypal? My email addy is [email protected], same for paypal.

MJIM, I tell you what, Naomi is welcome to a lb or 2 of Zack's weight! He's a right chub and is growing waaaaay to fast for my liking (but all the same it makes me proud that my milk has made him a chunky monkey, especially after some malicious, vicious person reported me to my GP when J was little for supposedly "witholding feeds" from him )

I have just had a quick look in the HUGE bag of nappies/wraps/clothes that Zack has outgrown and found 4 wraps. 3 I had pre-loved myself and 1 I bought new and it has been worn maybe twice (by the time I got myself together enough for cloth he was already so big!). So, I have 2 cottonbottom aplix size 1 wraps (4-11lb), a little lambs aplix size 1 wrap and an XSM ME Airflow popper wrap in savannah I think.... has hippos, giraffes, elephants, zebra's ect on it. The are all in EUC. Would any of these be any good?

Awww Dawni ((hugs))- you made me smile about your dog though!

MJIM - Orin is pronounced o (as in orange) -rin. It's meaning depending on where you look is Little green one (?), little one, or little pine tree (?). I am going with little one myself!! .

Willmouse - sounds rather ott on the homework for reception - or maybe it is because he is very good at this!! DD is getting reading and some spellings to do, but sentence construction is waaaaay too much for her to do at the moment!!

Hope everyone else is ok - dh is out tonight so going to catch up on last weeks ER!

Dawni · 13/01/2009 19:42

Oh God !!!!!!!!

Dont you just hate when its the time of the month.....ive bawled in the tatties and all over the fish, thank the lord the cabbage and cauli was ok

Dont think anyone noticed as i was flushed with the heat from the oven.....only the dog seen what was going on so i gave him a treat and told him not to tell

D xx

ChocolateEclair · 13/01/2009 18:37

willmouse - at your ds1's homework! That seems a lot when he's been at school all day! Does it have to be done tonight? Maybe you could spend some time at the weekend on it? Sorry you are having such a bad day, and are in pain. Feel free to rant away!

dawni - your day sounds rather nice curled up on the sofa! Sometimes our bodies need to chill don't they! Hope the painkillers are working for you xx LOL at your dog being called Max!

Mandy - thanks for not being cross with me! (I was worried). We do like the other boys names aswell, particularly Max, so will wait and see a) if we have a boy and b) if he looks like any of them! Everyone seems to think we are having a boy actually - I've no idea why! lol! On the BH issue, I guess if your bump is growing well, then maybe you might have baby early! Are you prepared just in case??? Have they measured it?

I ask because mine is measuring big by 2.5cm but they think it is position of the baby (breech and high) rather than baby being large. This is despite you lot saying my bump is tiny! It must look small in pics cos it's huge in real life! lol!

HM2J - I'm not surprised you are finding life busy! You have the 2 older boys at home for school don't you so it's no wonder you are! Hope you are enjoying it all though really!

MJIM - Naomi looks fabulously healthy in all your pics so you must stop worrying about her weight. She is obviously going to be a dainty little girlie!

love all the pics from MJIM, HM2J and ceebee. I love baby pics! I especially love seing the older dc cuddling the babies! Aww!

Hope HC, Dawn, Purple, OA, DD, BB, MM, bellie and BSL are all OK!!!

Did any of you guys see the news about that tiny baby Aya being born? I have wept buckets. So very sad and happy all at the same time.

Right, think I will have a lovely long bath

Willmouse Sorry to hear she's really got you that bad, what a day your having, hope you feel better after a good rant hun.....i gotta admit i hate kids parties, never done them and hardly ever accepted to go to any !!! Unless close friends or family

Ive been dozing on the sofa with the fire on, laid down with my jammies on and a good book, i feel better for it, painkillers need topped up now though...the blooming dog woke me with his snoring

MrsPuddleduck · 13/01/2009 16:27

Well, the witch has well and truly got me, I am in a vile mood! I am getting myself REALLY wound up over children's birthday parties which D1/DS2 have been invited to and which I don't want to go to. First is to DS2 by the sister of someone in DS1's class on the basis that they will be in nursery together next year so it will be nice and second is for DS1 and DS2 to the son of one of DH's friends (child is the same age as DS1) and who DS1 hasn't seen since the child's party last year - am I being unreasonable????

Plus row is going to occur this evening as I refused to invite DH's friend to DS1's party in September and then the said friend turned up on the day of DS1's birthday with a present for him

Plus to top it off I have just got home and checked DS1's "home learning book" and notice it has a new homework tartet - 'to learn to write simple sentences using a capital letter, finger spaces and a full stop'. He has been in reception for 13 weeks ffs and this is for ME to do at home - as you can imagine he is well up for it

Rant over, off to do DS1's homework

Mandy73 · 13/01/2009 15:54

Hi all,

OA so sorry, at least the 2ww is over (I know it's not much comfort but at least you know - or that's how I used to feel). Best of luck for the new shiny cycle!

Dawni great pics!

Willmouse fingers crossed for the HSG. xx

Dawn fantastic news!! Have been thinking of you loads, so happy for you.

CE we have by no means patented the name - hell, we don't even know if we're having a boy! Go on, have a little Felix if it feels like he is one when he arrives!x

Bellie
Wishing you a smooth and imminent labour.

HC men eh. Fingers crossed for you. So sorry to hear about the woman.

Ceebee and MJIM gorgeous pics, making Mandy v broody

Having loads of BHs. Pretty much every time I stand up or go to the loo. Frequently more than 4/hour which seems to be the crucial number. Will ask MW to check all is normal tomorrow. Bump is massive. Everyone thinks this will happen earlier than expected including me. 50% scary and 50% lovely thought. I'm only 30 + 3!

Love to everyone,
x
