Bugger, bugger, bugger-looks like AF is here on Day 14. What on earth is going on??

Will go to the Drs and have confessed to mum that we are TTC which is a huge relief. Fed up with it all really.

Back later.

Welcome Hannah! Fingers crossed for you.

HC SO impressed with you sending in troops when you're ill! Surely such stamina and determination will get richly rewarded? Buckets of baby dust coming your way. * MJIM - How is Naomi doing now?

Ceebee - Good luck for tomorrow - thinking of you. xx

Juanitad - Any day now... how very exciting.

BSL - Thinking of you today. xx

HM2J - Your beautiful boy is 2 weeks already - yay!

Dawn lovely to see you again.

CE wouldn't worry about the weight in the slightest - sounds v normal to me. Most of it is doubling your blood supply, right? It's not a cert you'll put on much in the third trimester at all.
And you were very slim to start with, no? I wasn't . I've put on 8 lbs totally - all in the past 3 weeks . And I've been eating loads (bloke portions ) but probably healthier than I do normally.

Just got back from MW, she measured bump for the 1st time (24 cm, whatever that means), everything seems OK, she said baby is big & wriggly for its age , more like 25 weeks . Wanted to cry with relief when I got home, the heartbeat gets me every time. Am just not taking anything for granted with this PG so any reassurance is so valuable.

Love to everyone.

xx

Hello all,

Sorry I've been away for so long!!

MJIM - Sorry to hear that little Naomi is so poorly. I hope that she gets well soon, bless her little heart.

HM2J - Sounds like yesterday was a little stressful! I hope it settles down for you... I can't believe that Zack's nearly two weeks either - wow!!

Ceebee - Good luck for tomorrow hun!! I hope that all goes well. Don't stress too much about little Josh, he'll be so excited about seeing his little sibling that he'll be fine I'm sure!

Juanitad - Hope your little one doesn't keep you waiting too long!!

BSL - Good luck with your results today, any news on them yet?

HC - How are things with you hun? Well done for sending in the troops, even though you were ill!!

Hannah - Welcome hun - this is a lovely friendly thread. They're not all as nice as this one on MN!!

CE - I totally understand how you feel about the weight thing and I'm sure you won't feel half as bad when I talk about mine. I've virtually become a recluse and so I'm really uplifted by the responses that you've received on your concerns. I feel so much better now!!

Waves to everyone that I've missed!!

So, I'll be 11 weeks tomorrow and I have my 12 week scan next Tuesday (at 11+5). I'm excited but really nervous.

I finally cured my constipation issue some weeks ago now but am really really concerned by the amount of weight that I've put on.... I am normally around 9st 10 and am already 10st 7 and have gone up to a size 14 in clothes and I'm really gutted about it. The thing is, I have a definite bump, but not sure why at this early stage with a first one. It's hard aswell, not a flabby bump ('scuse the expression ), is this normal? Or is it that everyone is different and NOTHING is normal?!!

Because of the MC last time, we haven't really told anyone about the bean yet, apart from my Mum and two of my best friends, but I'm having to avoid everyone because of my weight and the visible bump. My friend (who does know) came around last night for the first time since I announced my PG and was quite amazed with the size of the bump. There was definitely only one in there aswell at the 8 week scan so I know that's not the issue.

Be honest with me girls, do you think it's just fat or could I really have a bump already? I'm new to this and have NO idea!!

Anyway whinge over!! Every day I wake up I'm grateful that the little bean is still there so I don't want to complain too much!!

Hope everyone else is OK. Good luck to HC and Hannah!!

xxx

Juanitad, I hope baby arrives soon for you. Having just been through it, I remember only too well how long each extra day is. Try not to wish them away though because now there are not enough hours in the day, lol!

Ceebee, enjoy your last day. I am so excited for you to meet your new baby boy. These bonkers babies will be arriving thick and fast now! I can't help with advice for your ds1. When ds2 was born, we were already in hospital for a trace after a tumble. We weren't expecting to have a baby that day, but things kicked off fast and ds1 was in the gardens with dh making daisy chains, lol! Then, this time I was too far into the process and concentrating hard on not pushing (birth story in birth announcements section, very long!) to even be aware of what was really going on around me. I did open my eyes long enough to look at the boys while being carried down the stairs by the paramedics, but they were watching the tv and I didn't want to scare or worry them. I hope someone else can offer you some advice. Other than that, best of luck! Can't wait to hear all about him and see some pics!

MJIM: Sorry to hear that Naomi is poorly, poor little lamb. It sounds like you had a terrible scare yesterday. I hope she feels better soon.

Welcome Hannah! I hope you get your BFP soon.

Waves hello to HC, BSL, CE, Mandy, Soosy, Majormoo. Sorry if I missed anyone.

Zack is doing well. He had his first fussy evening last night, but his day was fairly messed up yesterday with a dr's appt that I got muddled up with, so a wasted journey and the the HV showed up unannounced at lunchtime which made things hectic. Hoping that is was a one off, but wouldn't be surprised if he gets colic, my other 2 did. At least he is good at night, but we are co-sleeping (which I swore I would never do). Ideal I would like to move him to his moses basket/cot as soon as he can go a decent stretch at night without a feed. I can't believe he will be 2 weeks old on Friday, it's going so fast

ceebee74 · 19/11/2008 10:16

Juanitad - I really really hope for your sake that our babies share a birthday - that would be lovely. I remember only too well from having DS how bad the waiting is - he was a week late and each day felt like torture!! Sending you lots of positive labour vibes - and there are things you can try you know - curry, sex......

x

juanitad · 19/11/2008 08:59

Come on baby, where are you.......? I had the raspberry leaf tea yesterday, it was yucky!! I also did some research and it turns out that it doesn't bring labour on, but in can make the second stage of labour shorter, but really you need to have drunk quite a lot in the last few weeks of pregnancy, so I'm thinking that just the one cup might not make much difference!

CE - don't panic, I think I had put on more than that by 21 weeks. My grand total weight gain to date is 3 stone!!! I'm usually 9 stone and now 12! I'm not over the moon about that, but I figure that my body needs all that extra fat and fluid etc and I'll deal with getting rid of it once the baby is here. Now is not the time to be dieting! And even though I have put on that much weight, I don't think I look too enormous, so it's all fine.

hannahlouhoo, lots of luck this cycle - this is a lucky thread, so even if it doesn't happen this cycle, I'm sure it's just a matter of time...

ceebee, enjoy last day of freedom! Maybe we'll share tomorrow as birth-day, I don't feel like it's going to be today, so maybe tomorrow. Lots of luck, I'll be thinking of you.

MJIM - hope Naomi is starting to perk up.

BSL - any news?

TO anyone I've missed, hello, hope all is well.

ceebee74 · 19/11/2008 08:26

Morning all

Welcome Hannah - any news this morning?? Even you do get a BFP, please stick around - we are a v friendly bunch

Last day of 'freedom' today and I was awake for about an hour last night thinking of all the things that must be done today before the baby arrives - funny how they weren't that important last week

Am feeling a bit though today as I am dreading being away from Josh - I know that sounds a bit wet but I have never spent a night away from him! He is such an adaptable little boy, he probably won't even notice but still.........I am dreading that part more than the op itself!!

Am trying to decide whether to say a proper goodbye to him in the house before we set off tomorrow and let DH take him into nursery - or whether I should take him into nursery in the morning and say bye to him then?? Am thinking in the house as I will probably be crying my eyes out - what do you think?

Sorry for the me me me post

Thanks for being nice about me being fat blooming!!! I think I might try not to eat so much chocolate/sweets esp on an evening and see if that helps! Meals are very healthy so that is not a problem.

welcome to hannahlouhoo - hoping it's a BFP today but if not then stick aorund - we need a few more ttc'ers!!!

BSL - thinking of you guys today. Good Luck.

HC - you get peeing if it makes you happy!

ceebee74 · 18/11/2008 20:44

MJIM so Naomi is poorly - she is still so little and it is awful knowing you can't make it better for them and you just have to ride it out!

BSL good luck tomorrow - will have fingers crossed that you get good news

CE 12lbs at 20+ weeks does not sound excessive to me at all (I have put on at least 2 stone, if not more). If there is ever a time a woman does not need to worry about her weight, it is when she is pg (bear in mind I have just eaten a third of a tub of Ben and Jerry's icecream so I am not the best role model )

HC you could always just pee on a pg test for fun you know

Oh MJIM-how worrying for you. Poor little girl. Remember taking DD2 at 3 weeks when she had a bad cold/cough. Was distraught for her.

ChocEclair-you are blooming my dear, blooming. Fat doesn't come into it and if you can't eat what you want when PG then when can you. I hope I get a definite OV day as last month I never even got to do a PG test. Have withdrawal symptoms.

My cold is just a cold now with the fluey feeling almost gone.

Hope all OK.

MJIM - awww poor Naomi! You must have been worried sick you poor Mummy! I guess you just need to keep a close eye on her for the next few days. Good excuse to have lots of cuddles!!! Hope she is all better soon xxxx

Junaitad - no baby yet! I can't believe it! Every day I come on expecting you to have had it! Are you getting a bit fed up now? I expect you just want to meet him/her now! Try fresh pineapple was it I heard?????

HC - very stoic sending in the troops even when poorly. Here's hoping to a definite ov day so you can spot symptoms this month. Fingers crossed xxx

BSL - good luck for the sperm test results tomorrow. I will be thinking some positive vibes for you xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

ceebee - can't believe it has got so close now!Keep busy with ds while dh is away and it will be thursday before you know it!!!!

Mandy - how lovely to be looking at cots and prams. It is nice to hear you sounding so positive and looking forwards to baby arriving

Hoping HM2J (and Zack) and all our other ladies are well xxxxx

I am getting fatter by the day! (Actually I think I am going to be enormous!). I had a mw app yesterday and I have put on 12 lbs!!! and I am only 21 + 2!!!!!! She said baby is just above average size for dates and womb is just above belly button! Average weight gain for whole pregnancy is about 2 stone right - so I'm def going to put on more than that! What do you guys think?!?!?

bluestarlavender · 18/11/2008 11:23

Ceebee - I'm getting excited now...only a few days and we'll see more newborn pictures! yay!

HC - looing forward to finding out one way or another now. How's the cold??

Morning everyone

Good luck to those TTC'ers that are coming up to OV time - maybe this month will be the month

Juanitad it won't be long now - hope you are managing to enjoy your last few days of 'freedom'

Hi to everyone else!

DH has had to go away with work today until tomorrow evening - talk about bad timing!!! He gets back tomorrow evening and then we have to be at the hospital first thing Thursday morning - it is all becoming very real now and I am starting to get nervous.

Anyway, breakfast time for me!
