Hi all

Belgian - sorry about your news, but maybe quitting smoking may make the difference you need to conceive naturally - you are not that far off.

Dawni - hope you are feeling better today.

HC - hope you had a productive evening

MJIM - I love your pictures - my fave is the one at 9 weeks.

I am just waiting until next month - things seem to be going very slowly - cant start to ttc until after HSG. They refuse to do the test if you have had sex since your last AF and the test. I think it is OK after that. Off to center parcs on 23rd for long weekend so hopefully that will pass the time (plus a week before packing and a week after washing....)

Decided not taking the children on - it is too much for me anyway. I am trying to help the lady find an alternative but it is virtually impossible to get two places around here.

Oh belgian-so sorry it isn't better news. Didn't realise your DH smoked as that is the first thing the Dr said to me is that my DH would have to not smoke or drink as it hinders conception but luckily he does neither. Personally I would try IVF and if your DH does manage to quit it will be health boost to him.

DawnAS-new mattresses do take a bit of getting used to. Probably not the best of times to bed it in though.

I think my OPK was a definite +ive as my temp has dipped today so that might mean OV is today hence the line last night.

Must get some lunch as am starving. Love to all.

Morning all,

Just a quick one this morning!!

HC - yay for your feint line - hopefully a stronger one tomorrow!!

Dawni - sorry you're not feeling positive this month hun. Maybe it is implantation, try and keep your chin up...

MJIM - you are soooo lucky!! Both of your children are soooo gorgeous!! Could do baby-modelling - they really are incredibly beautiful!!

No real news from me today, other than the last part of our new bedroom furniture arrived yesterday, our new bed. So our bedroom is now fully decorated and furnished so we slept in it for the first night last night. Had an awful nights sleep though because the mattress is bloody awful!! That's going to go on the guest bed from tonight and we'll use our old one on our bed - oh well!! Hope you all have a good day!!

xxxx

HumphreysCorner · 07/01/2009 22:13

Hi all.

Just had my HSG appointment changed for the third time - now smack bang in the middle of my childminding on a Wednesday afternoon so I will have to let the mum down (although she will be Ok about it I think). I have phoned and they have confirmed that it will not be changed again. All I have to do now is pray that AF turns up at the right time or they wont do it. I will be really glad when its over and done with.

I am off to recalculate when I can start ttc. First time I made it 13th Jan (so I can start next month) second time I made it 21st Jan - will have to start Feb.

Also thinking of restarting up Fertility Freind. Do you think if I de-register and then re-register it will notice? Or should I set up a different email account?

PurpleCrazyHorse · 07/01/2009 10:02

Good luck Dawni and HC. Thinking of you both.

HumphreysCorner · 06/01/2009 22:12

Felt better after being to the gym, been reading lots of articles about woman having AF pains and cramps from early on in cycle, so even though i think i'll get my AF, i feel a bit better

Everytime we ttc again i promise myself i wont become obsessed like the last time, but by the time i get to cycle 4 im just body monitoring everyday and wondering how after 14 years it just isnt happening !! Im not the most patient of people either

Sorry to be so me me me

MJIM Im clinging hun ...thanks x

Dawnas even with our dog i can be a couch pot coz he loves nothing more than a cuddle on the sofa !!! but im trying to make the effort

Everyone has posted so much that i can barely keep track, but all seems well (i think)

HC now know who humphreys corner is, i seen him in a shop today !!!! im so out of touch with DS being 16

Love to all

Thanks for all the smiles... popped by the GP and filled in a form for the midwife. I'm not very patient so all this waiting around isn't good Counting down the weeks to our first appointment at 9/10 weeks - seems such a long time.

On the weight front, I've been trying to lose 10lb so hoping to keep up the exercise and not put on too much extra padding. However, this is likely to go right out the window but even if I can manage some swimming, I'll be happy.

Hi Dawn - probably you won't want to hear this, but I put on 3 stone when pg with dd. Went from 10 - 13 stone. I blame the first 12 weeks when I couldn't get enough food - all I wanted was carbs, so by the time I had her the damage was done

I did lose 1 stone having her though - she was a fairly hefty 8.5lbs and I was huuuggggge..so a lot of water me thinks! I then lost another stone just going about my business (they say bf does help) in the next few months...and a bit more when I put my mind to it about a year later. I still am about 10lb heavier than I was pre-dd, but that's just my own laziness really

I don't think they weigh you anymore as it would just make us all completely paranoid...that's part of the joy of pg isn't it...not having to worry too much about your weight for a year or so!

juanitad · 06/01/2009 17:02

Hi all,

congrats on the BFPs! A great start to the year and continuing this thread's good luck. Long may the BFPs continue for all the other TTCers.

CE - wow, the nursery looks absolutely amazing! Love the pushchair too, looks great! Off to put some more pics on profile, as requested!

DawnAS · 06/01/2009 16:44

Willmouse, I must confess that I was a little shocked when I watched "Demons" aswell on Saturday night. I was terrified so goodness knows how many children would have had nightmares!!! Good on you!!

BSL, your lifestyle sounds so glamorous!! The full extent of my business travel was having to interview for some new call centre staff in Rotterdam about 7 years ago!! The remainder of my travelling was to Blackpool, Newcastle, Manchester, Uxbridge and Fleet. Not at all exciting!! Enjoy - what a pain that you have to go to Florida... . What I wouldn't do to be in Florida right now!!! Hope you're feeling better anyway. Sounds like you're feeling positive which is really good!!

Dawni, sorry that you're feeling low hun. It's not over until the old witch sings though!! Going to the gym hey - I've spent my life making up excuses to NOT go to the gym. I hate exercise - that's why I'm grateful that I have to walk my dog every day, otherwise I really would be a couch potato!!

HC, strangely enough, DH and I went to Mothercare at the weekend and I saw all the Humphrey's Corner stuff and fell in love with it!! You can tell I don't have children - it was only then that I realised where your nickname came from!!

DD, how you doing hun? Hope you and bean are doing well!!

Onlyanauntie, I think we're all a bit mental on here. I'm sure that our DHs and DPs are really quite grateful to MN for us having somewhere to go and be mental, so that we can remain slightly more sane when we're in their company!! My symptom spotting really got quite ridiculous, so nothing will shock or surprise us hun!!

PCH, so glad that the CB test confirmed you're PG. Wonderful news!!

CE, your nursery is beautiful!! We've decided to go neutral with colours as I love beiges and browns. Although we'll probably have some nice bright coloured teddy bears in there to brighten the place up!!

So, a question. How much weight (roughly) do they expect you to put on during pregnancy. Is there a percentage of your pre-pregnancy weight that they expect you to go up by IYSWIM? I got a bit of a shock the other day that at 18 weeks (tomorrow), I've already put on a stone. I'm 5ft 8 and was about 9st 12 before I got PG, so would a stone be about right? Can you tell I'm completely clueless about all this stuff?

Went to meet my new MW today. She was lovely and was very impressed with baby's strong heartbeat, although we didn't hear it for long because baby was kicking like mad and moving around. But she says that he sounds very feisty, which is a good thing at the moment, although not sure how keen I'll be when I'm getting all those kicks in my ribs and bladder!!

Hope everyone else is Ok today. Got to go out in this freezing weather soon to go shopping - almost worth paying the extra to have it delivered!!
