hi guys I have a er, differnet type of question, this whole chlaydia (sp) thing has been playing on my mind a lot, althou i've just looked it up and it say's u'd normally have symptoms within the first 3 weeks (which reassures me somewhat) but i'm worried incase I have it - am I being stupid? please someone tell me i'm being stupid! I'm sure it's all fine in that area and it's cos DH is coming home that i'm getting worried about all this sort of stuff when I haven't been for the past 6 months. uurhghghh what do I do? should I sit tight and wait for teh gyno apt and see what happens? I've been with DH for the past 6 years so i'm pretty (well 99.9% sure all's ok) but there's always a what if IYCWIM. uuurghghhgh what to do!

Debs - I have persona, been using it for 5 months and it's fab, can't praise it enough!

fresco - munz is me, (bit of a shorter name, sorry I assumed u'd all guess it was me)

When I m/c I also had positive HPTs after the event for a while afterwards. I had a scan to check everything was in order.

fresco · 22/03/2005 15:55

who else is waiting to test?
any b/feeders?

dizzy36 · 22/03/2005 15:44

thanks chuffed, will wait to see what dr says tomorrow. don't worry about being a cheapskate, thats exactly what I was thinking and I promised myself I wouldn't waste anymore p/t cos costing me a fortune. have a nice holiday

expatinscotland · 22/03/2005 15:37

yes it does, chuffed. i had bloodwork to confirm that the level of HcG (pregnancy hormone) was going down the way it should after m/c.

Chuffed · 22/03/2005 15:35

doesn't a home pregnancy test come out positive for a while after a miscarriage? I'd ask the dr to test you dizzy36 then you don't have to pay for it either...(cheapskate me I know)
Thanks for the thoughts, I know I'll have a nice holiday.

dizzy36 · 22/03/2005 15:00

hi new girl again. in my first message told u about unusual periods after m.c and then last one being even more unusual. rang NHS direct and she told me to see GP and worth doing a preg test!! I dont feel preg and can't face another negative result. Does anyone think its worth doing. It wasn't a normal period but I think it was one rather than an implantation bleed. Please tell me if anyone has had this happen after m/c. going to gp tomorrow to see what she says but am having kittens at the minute as thinking all sorts.

expatinscotland · 22/03/2005 14:29

HPT=home pregnancy test

Have just started on Persona, debsy, so the verdict is out. The leaflet says it can take 3 months of usage before it really gets to know your cycle. So far I'm still on red light. CD9. Feel PMS'ey so having a can of Coke and a packet of M&Ms.

B/c the Pill has obviously messed me up - on it's assumed to be the Pill for now - we are just enjoying ourselves this cycle and not paying much attention to it.

fresco · 22/03/2005 14:15

on Fertility Friend they keep talking about neg HPT and positive HPT.what is HPT?

fresco · 22/03/2005 14:11

Debbsy · 22/03/2005 12:57

Debbsy · 22/03/2005 12:52

Chuffed · 22/03/2005 12:42

hi everybody - have been trying to keep my mind off ttc so haven't really been posting but am getting so frustrated. last af started 7Feb no AF since and got another (3rd) BFN this morning.

Not charting or anything yet this is the AF since dd was born almost a year ago. Dr is pretty understanding and has said that if no AF in 3 mths since this one then she would do a referral to gyne but I can't help but feel a bit down about it all.

Of on holiday for 10days tomorrow to Turkey so now had a BFN have to pack in case AF arrives.

piffle · 22/03/2005 12:14

hello, back on the ttc roller coaster again this month, another 2 weeks til af...
I'm going to try not to think about it.
Agree with some of the pill comments - although I came of it in December 2001 and had dd in Oct 2002 but have not gone back on it.

fresco · 22/03/2005 11:13

munz...? is that not munnzieb? it take it aint

dizzy36 · 22/03/2005 08:58

Got pg first time 3 months after coming off pill, I was nearly 31 at the time. This time came off pill 3 years ago and taking forever. Started OPK this morning, difficult to stay positive though cos my chances of getting preg seem to be down to just pure luck rather than when I am ovulating.

munz · 22/03/2005 08:48

well hula i've decided i'm not going back on the pill, when I was 16 and got PG, it was pre pill, and literally an accident no planning or anything, I didn't even know where I was in my cycle, I had some form of injection after the m/c althou i have violent mood swings on it, so only had one injection then went straight onto microgynon, been on it 6 years, never had any probs didn't put on weight or anything (or loose it thou) anyhow, as it's taking so long to fall I won't be going back on it, but rather using persona as a natural aid. (just means for a week DH can't come near me! after all this BD i'll be glad of a break! lol)

fresco · 22/03/2005 08:30

hi dizzy! someone of my age,hehe..welcome to our crazy world

expatinscotland · 21/03/2005 21:58

I won't do it again, either. DH wants to have the snip after our second, anyhow. I think it may be taking me longer to get rid of the Pill's effects b/c of my age, too. The first time, I'd been off the Pill for 3 years when it came time to TTC dd, and it still took us 6 months. No telling now. One of those decisions I now regret - staying on that Pill so long.

Hulababy · 21/03/2005 21:47

Me too. Infact, although I am not wanting to have a 3rd child at all (DH would have a fit!!!) I doubt I will go back on the pill automatically this time. I hate to think what it does to me system - all those hormones messing about. It definitely took a while for them to get out of my system, both times round. I have taken the pill for a fair while so it has to have an affect on my body, surely???

expatinscotland · 21/03/2005 21:43

Hula
I'm beginning to feel the same way. If I had known, I'd have come off the Pill sooner. I'm not getting any younger into the bargain.

Hulababy · 21/03/2005 21:42

Welcome dizzy, and good luck!

Hulababy · 21/03/2005 21:42

Just found out that my cousin came off her pill at the same time as me (not sure my auntie should have been telling me but...) - so 7 months ago, and they haven't got pg either - they are only young too, 23ish??? Wished her well.

I do wonder how much the pill can be blamed for people taking longer to concieve. i know the GPs always say it has no effect on fertility, but I am not convinced!

Hulababy · 21/03/2005 21:39

Hey Jeddah. How are you? Good to hear from you! I am fine. This TTC can be a pain, but I am still going for it

expatinscotland · 21/03/2005 21:37

Welcome, dizzy!

I'm thinking may have ovulated this time round, b/c there's CM. Here's hoping!! That'd be first in a long while (what w/being pregnant and going on the Pill 3 weeks postpartum).
