Hello,

As Nelix has a bfp (yay!) and she started the last one I thought I'd start this one as a continuation of this thread

Here's hoping we all get BFPs this month but if not then let's continue the thread until we all graduate

morning all well still have a good temp this morning & cramps like AF is on her way (but that could also be a positive sign) My temps started to fall by tomorrow this time last month so I guess the morning will give me a clue to the answer I'm looking for..fingers crossed, good luck to the girls that are comming up for testing & for all you starting the BD fest this wkend

Deeja · 28/11/2008 17:24

Congratulations Boosie! I am very, very pleased for you. You have made my day which up till now has been all about interviewing people arrrrgh.

Anyway enjoy.

Hello everybody else...comiserations to those who's AF has arrived but I have a good feeling about Christmas - and what a nice feeling to have concieved over that special time.

iggylou · 28/11/2008 16:27

thanks v. much smileycat

that answers a few more questions I had

I've just learnt something today from reading stuff on here that I feel v.stupid for not knowing - I never really knew how to count my cycle I always counted from end of AF to next AF date... oops...

Pezzina · 28/11/2008 16:26

Wow! Its been busy on here again today.

Firstly ? congratulations Boosie! That is great news. You should get a stronger line on Sunday which will make it all the more real .

Smiley ? I have high hopes for you too. Fingers crossed your temps stay high, sweetie!

Hi again, Wasabi ? sorry you?ve had bad headache ? definitely not helpful towards BDing! Hope all goes well tonight

Welcome to iggylou ? you will love it on here ? such great advice and support from everyone.

Jools ? big hugs to you ? don?t know what else to say really ? it must be really hard when the emotion hits you unexpectedly. I just hope you have lots of lovely people in your life to support you. You will get through this xx

Sans04 ? sorry to hear that AF got you too. She?s been busy this month ? damn her!

VillageMum ? looks like you?ve got to the fun bit ? hope you have a good weekend.

I?ve had a naff week. My temps are all over the place and the day after my reflexology session I had the heaviest period I have ever had my whole life (sorry if TMI). I was shocked when I went to the loo ? made me feel quite woozy! I think it may have been something to do with the reflexology ? I will definitely mention it when I see her next week. LovelyMonster ? no, it hasn?t hurt me. Some areas on my feet feel ?tender? to her touch but not so much that it causes me pain IYKWIM. It?s not a relaxing foot rub but I am able to zone out whilst she?s doing it.

Anyhoooo - thankfully my mood is improving in time for the weekend. Being grumpy is no fun at all!

smileycat · 28/11/2008 16:19

Igglou CD is the days you count from the first day of your period, it then goes into DPO which are the days past Ovulation when you are in your 2WW 2 week wait (waiting for AF, period or a BFP, Big Fat Positive pregnancy test)
If you go to a sight called Fertility Friends it gives you loads of really great info & you can join for free. It will give you a month of VIP membership for free then you either stick with the basic membership or pay them to continue with the VIP bit. Its great for recording your fertility signs & gives you your CD & DPO. If you do your temp or use OPK (ovulation sticks) it will also tell you when you have OV'd
Any problems just ask as many of us on here us it

Elliegant · 28/11/2008 15:40

congratulations boosie

sans sorry your joining us at the bottom, lets hope better news for christmas.

welcome iggylou you will love it here.

jools and Wasabi, I know exactly where your coming from, my niece is pregnant after only ttc for a very short time and although I am genuinely happy and thrilled for her I can't help feeling a little sad as well.

iggylou · 28/11/2008 15:29

Thanks wasabipeanut

Am already quite addicted to reading the threads!

wasabipeanut · 28/11/2008 15:23

Smiley thats just plain spooky. We all hope your sign was right! Not long to wait now to find out.

Welcome Iggylou - you will like it here I promise.

Villagemum - looks like me and thee are going to have a fun weekend

Jools - I think most people would be surprised if seeing pregnant women didn't make you feel sad at the moment. You need to give yourself time to recover emotionally as well as physically. Feeling sad is ok.

A friend of mine who I originally met at NCT told me on Monday she was 6 weeks pg. I was genuinely really happy for her but I did shed a few tears on dh's shoulder that night. It's a very confusing set of emotions - being happy for someone but a bit jealous at the same time.

On the bright side she was kind enough to give me her ov sticks so at least I've saved a few quid.

BoosieBoo · 28/11/2008 12:36

Aww, thanks for all the lovely messages everyone. To be honest it still doesn't feel real. I think it might sink in a bit more on sunday or sometime next week, when my period is oficially late. Just have to hope and pray it's a sticky bean. DH has been very sweet since I told him last night.

We're going up to my brother's this weekend for my niece's 1st birthday, so that should keep me busy till I do another test. Won't be able to check messages till monday, so good luck to anyone testing this weekend and hopefully there'll be lots more great news next week x

queenie1 · 28/11/2008 12:19

Just a quick post - hello all.

HUGE congratulations Boosieboo!!!

Smileycat - keeping my fingers crossed for you. I too am due early next week. The waiting is agony isn't it!!!

Jools - my heart goes out to you. Lots of love.

xxx

VillageMum · 28/11/2008 11:34

BoosieBoo, congratulations, what fantastic news!! A line is a line!

Cindy, how are you doing? Hope you're feeling a bit better...

Jools, hello again ((waves)), just give yourself time - it's so great that your body is getting back to normal again now and you'll soon be on course for another BFP!

On cd9 now and have started the DP - just hope we can stick with it! Dh is very keen so that's a help.

yellowflowers · 28/11/2008 11:17

maybe it's a sign smiley?

Hi sans04 - sorry you're back at bottom but you're in good company.

xx

I'm not religous or anything really in that way but I real spooky thing just happened to me. Last night I was laid in bed & had a few things drifting through my mind & I whispered a sort message to anyone out there if it was possible I'd love a sign to tell me if I'm pg or not, like I say I'm not religous but like many people wonder if anything is up/around us.
Well I was watching a program on tv & switched over when it finished & just caught the end of another program & it finished with the lines (girls with the same name as me) did you know you were pg & she said no & they said well we just did a test for you & its +ive
I nearly fell off the chair...what do you think????spooky hay

iggylou · 28/11/2008 10:39

thanks for the welcome

Are there any good websites or places for info?

also - I don't understand some of the acronyms... what does CD mean?

I also have no idea when AF is next dues cos the last one was really early and really heavy (sorry if TMI!) so not sure what going on with cycle as is normally predictable...

anyway - am looking forward to joining in with the threads on mn - it seems v. friendly

Sans04 · 28/11/2008 10:36

Hi to all

congratulation BoosieBoo a line is a line that is geat well done I am very happy for you big huges.
Yellow ,Elliegant & Pezzina I am joining you too as af arrived. I hope the beatch won't visite anyone elss anymore.

smileycat · 28/11/2008 10:07

Jools your hormones have an hell of lot to answer for, give it time your body is still not your own & will take a little longer for you to get a grip on your emotions again, don't blame yourself just let it out, its the best way to heal, big hug ((--))

Welcome Iggylou ask away any help you need we have a fountain of knowledge on this thread, you are very welcome here

Jools1 · 28/11/2008 10:01

Many congratulations Boosieboo Has it sunk in yet ??

Good to see you again Wasabi I have similar issues in some offices, but most people work from home on Fridays, so I can get on with work mnetting in peace

I had a strange night last night - was woken up with pain in my abdomen that I'm sure was in the ovaries I don't know if this was a post MC ovulation, or just everything gearing back up - hopefully gearing up as I was too tired to BD this morning, so if that was the egg, then I've missed it

Am having a strange week - most of it I felt OK and the post mc hormones behaved themselves - went away on business to be confronted with a colleague who has announced she is due in April, another colleague whose wife had an mc last month, told my new boss and then in the hotel was served by a lovely lady behind the bar, who made a mistake with my order, apologised and put it down to pregnancy brain, at which point I noticed the bump and just had to leave the bar The emotion hits at very unexpected times - I couldn't eat the chicken satay DP had ordered for me last night because I was in the middle of the same meal when I first noticed a bleed and the association was just too much

Oops sorry for long post / rant

Good luck to all the imminent testers

iggylou · 28/11/2008 10:01

hello everyone - can I join you?

I have no idea what I am doing but am def ttc

I sort of started ttc this time last year.. then stoppped (for wedding) and started again in Sept... Came off pill in Oct 2007.

So have started taking Folic acid... but not much else - any advice greatly appreciated

wasabipeanut · 28/11/2008 09:41

Boosie ? congratulations! 1st one of the month, lovely

Hi everyone, sorry I haven?t posted in ages ? work have moved my blardy desk so that my monitor is highly visible to passers by and having ?Grapefruit drinking, knicker checking etc. displayed on it for all to see isn?t great so I can only post at home now.

Yellow ,Elliegant & Pezzina, I?m so sorry that you?re out for this month.

C1ndy ? I?m sorry you are feeling down (or were at the beginning of the week). This ttc business makes crazy women of us all at times. I hope you are feeling more happy and positive now.

Jools - hang on in there honey. Anyone would have some wobbles after a mc as late as yours. Hopefully you and dp can relax over the weekend and bd or not to your hearts content!

Deeja ? ov sticks have worked for me in the sense that I have caught a surge (although I only realised last month that you shouldn?t use FMU on them so I reckon I was picking things up a day late. I am CD10 today and will pee on my 1st stick of the month this pm!

Hello Lovelymonster ? sorry to hear about your mc but happy that you are feeling positive about the future.

Smiley I have my fingers crossed for you ? sounds promising

Welcome bigbaubleeyes !

Interesting posts re caffeine and vino. I decided at the beginning of the week to quite caffeine because I was drinking more and more coffee and I wondered if it played a part in what I am fairly sure was a very, very early mc last month. It won?t do me any harm anyway and apart from an evil headache on Wednesday it hasn?t been too difficult ? am already feeling better for it actually.

I?m a little reluctant to quite the wine but I only have one glass usually of an evening, maybe 2 if I stay awake long enough. If we aren?t successful in another 3 months or so I?ll reassess.

I?m CD10 today ? would have started DP on CD8 but said headache and feeling like death put a stop to that. I have told dh to consider himself on a promise tonight!

Sorry about long post! x

smileycat · 28/11/2008 07:28

boosieboo OMG fantastic news well done you I hope you have set the ball rolling for this month congratulations

My temp is still up this morning, wishing away the wkend already so that Monday hurries up (what are we like) I'm going to take my temp over the wkend & if it hasn't dropped by Monday morn then I'll test then, but if I get a drop Sun & Mon then I wont waste a test as AF will probably be on her way..good luck to all comming up this wkend & early next wk

Evening everyone,
So having promised myself not test till sunday morning... I have a stash of ten cheapies from the internet and I thought what the heck - i have NO willpower. So I do the test and see nothing on the strip at first glance, then go to run DS's bath for bedtime. Come back about 5 mins later to put it in the bin....

and there is a line! Not as strong as the control line, but a definite don't have to squint to see it line. I'm still in shock. It's way, way too early to get excited and I can't even think of myself as pregnant yet. I'll do another test on sunday morning as planned and if the line is stronger, maybe I'll let myself get a little more excited, but even then it will be early days.

Just wanted to share with you all. Even though I haven't been on very much I do try and read the posts and wouldn't have had half the enthusiasm to stick with the DP (and more!) without all the messages, so thank you x

LovelyMonster · 27/11/2008 18:55

Hi all you lovely ladies!!

Thankyou for welcoming me with open arms!!! Have had a good day - although did start to freak a bit about just how quickly christmas is sneaking up on us (again).

Pezzina - reflexology! will be interesting to see if it works for you. I had it done once and swore I would never again. It really hurt!!! Does it hurt you?? I would consider doing it again if the practitioner was nice and gentle (or maybe that defeats the purpose?)
