Hello,

As Nelix has a bfp (yay!) and she started the last one I thought I'd start this one as a continuation of this thread

Here's hoping we all get BFPs this month but if not then let's continue the thread until we all graduate

Hello everyone!

Cindy, sory to hear your AF is here but glad that you're sounding so positive!

smiley, enjoy those parties if AF arrives!

yellow, a friend of mine was five months pg before she realised - I've often wondered: how on earth?? (She thought she was just putting on weight!)

Heeby, fantastic news about your scan!

Well, we are now properly in the 'fertile window' so here's hoping!

yellowflowers · 04/12/2008 08:42

great about scan heeby. Sorry C1ndy - at least we've got each other again this month.

Had funny thought yesterday - a what if I'm that woman in a million who has periods and low temps all through and one day gets pain and gives birth without knowing she was pregnant. hahahahaha. Do you ever think that's you? Temp doing funny things - went up today - hope I have not ovulated early as dh ill so no bding even though it is day 9 today so dp should start. but as I have usual 30 day cycle at least thought probs safe to start dp on day 10.

smileycat · 03/12/2008 16:45

well caved in and did a test BFN so guess I've just got to wait for her to arrive, tipical I have had a 25 day AF for the last 4 months & now it looks like I'm back to a 28 day, guess I'll be testing closer to New Year next month instead of Xmas , but at least I can enjoy the 3 parties I am going to next wk without having to look like I'm drinking but sneaking tonic without the gin
Hi bubblebell & C1ndy I'll keep you company on the next 2WW

pinkie08 · 03/12/2008 16:12

Hi all,

Well done to the recent BFPs, I have started spotting so Af is on course for the 5th. I guess thats another month over for me.

I am so fed up with it all that i feel like i cant even be bothered.

Only one rounf of clomid left, fortunately the gynae is prepared to refer me to fertility specialist but goodness knows how long that will all take.

Patience is not my virtue

anyway heres to an alcoholic xmas

Ilovebeingamummy · 03/12/2008 15:01

Thank you all so much for your lovely messages. I wish I could send you all your BFP's too...failing that I send you babydust and the ability to stay sane whilst ttc xx

I have mild nausea and a feeling of having been kicked in the nether regions. But no cramps so I am staying positive for now that this bean is sticky..

((hugsx)) to all

bubblebell1 · 03/12/2008 13:52

wasabipeanut · 03/12/2008 12:14

Oh good luck Smiley. Being late is about the best sign there is I think. I've never really done the temping thing so not sure of the implications of ups and downs.

Let us know how you get on later!

smileycat · 03/12/2008 12:05

Hi
Didn't test this morn as my temp dropped to what it did last month when AF arrived, but as yet no AF & it usually arrives sometime before lunch. I'm feeling very confussed, temp tells me AF should be here, AF is now at least 1 day late maybe 2 & I've felt a little sicky this morning????
I'm scared to test again as it will make me feel shitty all afternoon if its another-ive & will feel stupid that I've wasted another test as temp says I should wait for AF to arrive today...what should I do??? plus I've had a ton of coffee this morning as have been in meetings so any wee I produce for the next couple of hours wouldn't be any good anyway
Think I'll give AF another couple of hours, drink lots of water to filter out the caffine & test later is she doesn't show up....I'll keep you posted

wasabipeanut · 03/12/2008 11:51

Hi Jools its only natural for you to be interested in how the others are doing - its because you're a nice person. I think you should treat yourself to a nice glass of wine and some trashy TV tonight and a cuddle with your dp.

I'm off sick today as have had really vile stomach cramps and period type pains and feel wiped out. I usually get a touch of ov pain but nothing on this scale. It must just be a bug or something. I got a positive OPK this morning so shite timing as ever!!

Every month there always seems to be something that stops us bding as much as we need to around the target days. Seeing as dh came back pissed last night I told him not to bother

Pezzina · 03/12/2008 10:54

Sorry I haven't been on ladies - but work has been manic.

Had to drop in and see how you were all doing though and just quickly wanted to give big hugs to Jools I really do feel for you sweetie and know that I would be doing exactly the same in your situation. Its human nature. You will move on and you will feel better, that I do know - but when it will happen I cannot say. But we are all here for you and will support you every step of the way. xx

Right - I've got to get back to work but will log on again later for a proper catch up with everyone. Lots of love to all xx

Jools1 · 03/12/2008 09:40

Someone please tell me to step away from my old antenatal threads I keep lurking because I've made friends and want to see how they are doing, but it is some kind of exquisite torture to see former due date buddies getting great scans / hearing heartbeats etc - why do I do it to myself

Morning all Getting really impatient now - want to TTC again NOW but have no fertile signs .... Have a good day everyone

iggypiggy · 03/12/2008 09:22

congratulations ilovebeingamummy

Just had two messages in a row about friends' babies just being born - I think its my age - 32 - lots of people having babies..

Anyway - am actually - oddly looking forward to AF on Fri, so that can get properly going with next cycle.

C1NDY · 03/12/2008 08:34

Snowflake thanks for the info on the preseed... where do you buy yours from?

Smiley I know how you feel. AF still has not arrived but I did another test this morning (because I am sad!) and yes still bfn ... so just wish it turns up, so I can get on with updating my schedule for the month... Been thinking maybe I will never have another AF again.

I am taking the boots fertility test when AF does turn up... it test to see if you still have a good collection of eggs - even though I have only been trying for two months (MC in Sept) thought I would test in case I had a problem. If all is okay then I am going to test my partner too as you can get a sperm fertility test. Am I being stupid?? Its just that I will be 40 next year and so if there is a problem I just want to know, so I can get help. I am lucky as I have one DD aged 2... so if I was only meant to have one then so be it!!

Think AF is on its way... which would be super news!!

Speak to you all soon
Have a lovely day

Cindy

Congratulations Ilovebeingamummy (and its a good job you do) - a BFP is good for all of our spirits! I hope you and your bean are getting on famously.

For all those feeling a little blue I can sympathise. I'be just had an email from a friend based overseas letting us know that their 2nd is due next Spring. The mail had been sat in my inbos for a few days and my dh had already relied to it and copied me in but not actually mentioned it. Presumably he thinks I'll be upset. I suppose he could just have been a typical bloke and completly forgotten. Not beyond the realms of possibiity is it?

C1ndy I'm really sorry to hear that this month hasn't been the one for you.

Yellow and Queenie I hope you're feeling a little less blue now. I am seriously considering saying to dh - sod it lets take a month off. I'm fed up with the wild ups and downs every month and having my hopes dashed after loads of mid month bding.

So far we have managed CD10 & 12 and now we are on 14 - no surge being detected by OPK yet and DS on his way home from an all day drinking session with some old friends.

Brilliant. Good to see we're both on the same page.

queenie1 · 02/12/2008 19:43

Yellowflowers - been trying 18 months too (and properly trying), during which we have conceived three times and sadly had three MCs (at 8 weeks, 5 and then 6 - so thankfully all fairly early). Last MC was May and we've been trying since but no joy. It's not taken me this long to conceive before and so I'm convinced it's stress that's preventing it from happening.

So yes, I know it's a good idea to try and 'forget' this month, have a laugh and get back to it in the new year...but it is really hard.

xxx

yellowflowers · 02/12/2008 18:51

The thing is beckymcg is that I can pretend to myself I am relaxing, but body doesn't believe me!

Hi queenie - no contraception for nearly 18 months though not living together then so not really getting right times of month. properly trying for nearly 6 months. I want 3 children really. Right now one would be amazing though.
You?
xx

BeckyMcG · 02/12/2008 17:59

Queenie - I think maybe taking a break for a month might be good if your DH has suggested it. It might be good for your relationship to spend a month drinking, eating and having fun together and then start again in the new year?.....although I certainly understand what you mean about wasting a month.

BeckyMcG · 02/12/2008 17:57

Hey ladies,
I've got back from a great girls weekend in New York......I was proud I kept up with all the others and didn't have to slope off to bed early despite the fact I wasn't drinking. I also spent far too much and am feeling mildly guilty!
Welcome iggy and other new ladies.
BIG CONGRATS to ILove and Boosie.

  • Boosie you have mentioned booking an 8 week scan. I've booked my private 8 week scan for next Monday, 8th Dec, and just can't wait. I've got everything crossed that it's all ok. It's expensive at £80 but I think reassurance would be a great Xmas present.

I can't remember who mentioned the TTC obsession - it's so easy to do - that's what I was like but I only seemed to be successful when I relaxed. We were debating taking a break so I could drink in New York and then over the Xmas parties. In the end we decided to carry on but I felt less obsessed than other months and then I saw my BFP. It's a tough one.....

queenie1 · 02/12/2008 17:25

yellowflowers - yes I know!! I want four!! And I have stamped my feet and said that in response to comments like you have 'all time in the world'!!

I guess though, being 30 / 31, some of the pressure is taken off in that we still have quite a few years of fertility left in us. And I do know loads of people who have had problems ttc in their thirties and have still gone on to have two or more kids. I am modifying my dreams a bit and while I want four would be so grateful for two (or even one!!).

How long have you been trying now?
xx

yellowflowers · 02/12/2008 16:24

Hi queenie (and sorry if this upsets anyone older ttc 1) but I want more than one child (dh is only childand hates it) so if we want 2 or 3 then being 30 means we have to have first one soon so can fit others in too.
