Hello,

As Nelix has a bfp (yay!) and she started the last one I thought I'd start this one as a continuation of this thread

Here's hoping we all get BFPs this month but if not then let's continue the thread until we all graduate

OP posts:
Pezzina · 03/11/2008 13:11

I'm doing OPK, CM, temperature and following DP. I'm using Fertility Friend to enter the temps each day and you can also note your CM and any OPK results - its very handy.

Hadn't heard that doing it doggy style is better for conception but that would make sense I guess - as your DP/DH can go deeper giving the little swimmers less distance to travel bless 'em.

WanabeMum · 03/11/2008 13:07

Hey C1ndy yes i had heard that too! Nothing is tmi on this thread honey!!
Not sure I could cope with that position every time though, may just have to ... ehem ..... swap positions at the end? lol
Will be a nightmare though, how are you going to manouver into a position to put your legs in the air from doggy? oh the mental images lol hhhhhhmmmmmmmmm

C1NDY · 03/11/2008 13:01

Pezzina I know what you mean! My DH hates the routine though but enjoys that his getting more dancing!! Well enjoy your time and fingers and toes crossed for you. What methods are you using, apart from the DP... are you OPK and CUM checking?

I am doing everything next time around. OPK, CUM, temperature checking and DP...

Now, Ladies I have read somewhere that the best method for conception is ... now sorry for this as its really to the point... well the best method is doggy style as it gets the little buggers to the correct area faster... rather than the missionery position. Has anyone heard of this??? as I always makesure that I am lying down so that I can stick my legs in the air... sorry if I am getting all personal.

C1NDY · 03/11/2008 12:55

Howdy, everyone... I can see five of us are going to try the Deanne Plan (DP)... our hubby's won't know whats hit them this month. We are women with a PLAN!!

I am happy coz i get to drink a glass of wine or two or three or four (okay you get the message) this evening.

I am so prepared this month that the egg will be bombared... it can't escape the conception!

VillageMum What's wrong sweety... I have been skimming posts as I have the big boss back today. When you had a MC did you have a D&C? as that can mess your cycles up and apparently you are more prone to dropping quite a few eggs as your body adjusts itself!

Pezzina · 03/11/2008 12:49

Hi C1ndy

Yes, in the midst of it all now - this is definitely my favourite part of the cycle . Having to work out 101 ways of seducing DH - not that he complains - he thinks his Christmasses have come all at once! I guess it makes up for me acting like a crazy, knicker-checking obsessive at the end of the cycle.

VillageMum · 03/11/2008 12:31

Thanks again Elliegant, Wanabe... my cycle used to be 30 days with ov on cd17, also fairly late in the cycle, but I guess it's become even later now... groan. Will try not to whinge too much! Really tender abdomen with twinges so hope something may happen soon. Thanks again, ladies, you're a lovely bunch. x

WanabeMum · 03/11/2008 12:15

Aww villagemum i really feel for you. It's aweful waiting to ovulate and I can't imagine what it's like for you after having a MC. Hopefully you will OV in the next few days and it will be best foot forward! My normal cycle is around 34 days and I found out since my fertility monitor that I OV on CD20/21 so that's fairly late in the cycle.

Chin up honey xx

Elliegant · 03/11/2008 12:14

Good for you wannabe, no more pickled swimmers eh! , glad you feeling better.

villagemum you must be really frustrated, hope something happens soon for you.

WanabeMum · 03/11/2008 12:06

Oooh heeby im so excited for you!! Here's hoping!!

JClaire im so sorry the witch arrived, how horrid. Never mind, now's your time to do everything you're not supposed to when TTC!

Well ladies, im feeling much better today, not that worried because at the end of the day my day will come (to quote c1indy!). Plus i get to try out the Deanna plan to it's full effect next month and I can make sure that DH has minimal alcohol intake too!

VillageMum · 03/11/2008 12:05

Hi Heeby, Elliegant, thanks for your kind words, I'm trying to stay positive... I actually ov'd three weeks after my mc, and this is my first 'real' cycle since then - I just assumed (naively) that my cycles would be as they always were once AF had come again, but I guess not. That's interesting about your change of cycle length, Heeby - I suspect mine may be a bit longer now. Sigh. Maybe that egg will pop in the next few days. It's really getting to me as we've decided to wait this cycle out, and now the wait is becoming longer... .

Heebychick · 03/11/2008 11:46

Thanks for all the good luck wishes guys, i am a fully fledged knicker checker today that's for sure! feeling a bit queasy today and bloated, mind you after a bad diet yesterday that's not surprising! I will try and hold out to tomorrow as thought FMU would give a better result but might have to do it this afternoon when dh gets in, he is buying test so depends on which one he gets!

smiley so that sounds positive eh? i am going to do temps next month if af comes. It might give me some more insight if nothing else.

village that must be so frustrating, i didn't know if i OV'd after MC as had a cyst develop but it all cleared up ok in the end, my cycle changed for good it seems tho, it went from 32 days to 26 days and has stayed that way for 6 months. (except 2 months ago when the cyst burst and i had in 3 days late)

jclaire so sorry about AF, at least you can spend the day feeling sorry for yourself and eating bad food, it always helps! and like you say there is this month to put the effort in more!

I hope i can be proof to everyone that the extra effort is worth it!

Lots of love to you all xxxx

BoosieBoo · 03/11/2008 11:38

Hi everyone,

Well AF arrived yesterday. Feel strangely ok - it was only the first month trying and have just spent a silly amount of money on a new work wardrobe, so at least I'll get a bit more wear out of it! I'm starting back at work tomorrow after 11 months of lovely maternity leave

Anyway, have decided to be more pro-active this month so will be following the Deanna plan and have just ordered some pre-seed - and of course will crack open the grapefruit juice!

Good luck heeby for tomorrow

Hi All,

Had totally deluded myself last week that our minimum BD efforts last month (due to a succession of vistors staying for over a fortnight, which was a bit inhibiting!) had succeeded anyway as had sore boobs from wednesday onwards something I never usually suffer from, then AF appeared on saturday but very very slowly so still thought well maybe but this morning is here with a vengence and have got really bad stomach cramps (all too usual since my very first one as a teenager) so have rung in sick and curled back under the duvet! Felt so miserable on saturday as was feeling very convinced that we had finally managed it, but yet again not to be Definitely need to get our act together better this next month and do a bit lot more BD

smileycat · 03/11/2008 11:15

Just been adding my temps to FF & read up on a few of their articals on temping & FF friend has done a study on implantation dips & says that from the study if you have a single days dip around DPO 7/8/9 you could be on your way to having a BFP although some of the BFN charts also show this dip, more of the BFP's show it. I had a dip on Sunday DPO9 & a rise today so crossing my fingers I'm one of their positive ones...the next few days will tell
heeby I'm soooooo excited for you roll on tomorrow morning, will you be able to hold out???

Pezzina · 03/11/2008 10:53

Hello all,

Heeby all sounding very good so far sweetie - my fingers are crossed for you. Tomorrow will be the big day!

Heeby that sounds very promising!!

Well, I'm pretty down today as I should be ovulating by now (cd17) but nothing! I guess the mc I had has thrown everything out of whack... very frustrating as we're still holding off ttc until the next cycle, and now it's going to be delayed. Cindy, I'll definitely be doing the Deana plan when the next cycle arrives - if it ever does... Will update my AF date when (if!) I finally ov!

Wanabe, you never know - once before ov might just do the trick!

smiley - good luck!

Heebychick · 03/11/2008 09:27

Hi all,

Sorry to hear about your dh wanabe, but like you say you never know, i worry that i'm in danger of sounding like a mad woman sometimes when i'm saying to my dh 'we have to tonight!!!' i think they want it to be as natural as possible and less of the 'routine' stuff i guess, but of course you have know where you are eh!! good luck honey, you never know xxx

smiley silly you, but don't read anything in to the bfn, it is early and like i always say 'it aint over till the AF lady sings!'

c1ndy sorry to hear about Af, what a baggage! will you be doing the deana plan this month, i have been following it this month so lets hope i can be a advocate of it!

as for me ... i normally have spotting on cd25 (yesterday) and full on today, and guess what i've had ....

none of it so far, so allowing myself to feel mildy (very) excited, dare i say it!

smileycat · 03/11/2008 09:18

Morning so sorry to hear that the witch arrive for you C1ndy big glass of wine tonight heeby how are you feeling is she on her way or are you still feeling positive. Wanabe I hope you are feeling better today you never know it only takes one to make it even if the others are a little pickled lol. Well I couldn't help it & tested this morn bfn of course as my temps fell a little on Sunday but were quite high again this morn so was feeling really positive & couldn't help myself anyway I'm now going to be good & wait till Fri/Sat to retest that way I'll be days over my usual 25 & on track for my sometimes 28. babydust to all ~~~~~~~~~
